In today's episode of the Nutrition's My Life Podcast, I'm sharing with you how much of an impact Vitamin D has on your health. Even though you're out in the sun, you still may be low.
Tune in today to see if the reason why you're tired, feeling a bit depressed at times, feeling puffy, and maybe stuck at a weight you're not happy is because of a low Vitamin D level.
In this episode, I talk about how you can start reducing inflammation by incorporating these anti-inflammatory foods that I have here on this list for you. [ Free Anti-Inflammatory Foods List ]
I also stumbled across how much Calcium is too much calcium for post-menopausal women. This fact sheet here tells you what I was trying too- A range of 600-1000mg Calcium intake per day was shown to be Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) protective, whereas an intake of 1400mg or higher increased the risk of a CVD event. So moral of story, check the fact sheet and see what foods you're eating and also reference your doctor or Registered Dietitian.

Cardiac Cowboys
The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
