Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, what is up?
Speaker 2 (00:01):
Boys? How's it going? And welcome back to another episode
of the One Piece Virgin Podcast. We're keeping this going
this week, covering Amazon, Lily with the One Piece Virgin
herself Poseidon mytholds, what up? Gamer?
Speaker 3 (00:13):
Hello? How's everybody?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
So? Sidon's been a little bit spoiled, so she knows
there's there's gonna be a time skip. He's like, I
can't believe we're so close to the time skip. Obviously,
I can't believe how fastly we're getting through One Piece.
Speaker 3 (00:27):
Here almost Oh my goodness.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
Still less than halfway there?
Speaker 4 (00:32):
I actually I love so when I can type in Google,
I can type like I'm on episodes four hundred and
forty seven, how many percentage?
Speaker 3 (00:40):
Like am I through one Piece? And like the last
one I did?
Speaker 4 (00:43):
I think I was like thirty something percent It's crazy.
Speaker 3 (00:47):
Wow, okay, not even halfway.
Speaker 2 (00:50):
One Piece is a big boy. And we got in
Jordan the anime dude with us. How you doing?
Speaker 4 (00:55):
Well?
Speaker 1 (00:55):
What's up? Everybody? Happy to be here? I saw a
video the other day that was like, I wish I
could forget everything I know about One Piece and watch
it all over again, and then they forget everything about
One Piece. They look at it, they go a thousand episodes,
they just don't even start. So one pie aside for
going through the journey.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
That's why One Piece is getting a remake while there's
still it's still airing. Like you just made the joke.
One Piece is still airing and it's getting a remake.
That is crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
Yeah, it's gonna be seasonal anime number one and number two.
We love to see it.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
I used to make a similar joke whenever we'd just
the seasonal anime lists, I'd be like, where's one Piece?
One Piece is my favorite anime every season.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
I'm telling you it's true.
Speaker 2 (01:40):
Anyway, let's jump into Amazon, Lily Poseidon and take it away.
I'm gonna turn my light.
Speaker 4 (01:44):
On alrighty, So we basically kind of start off where
Sabaudi left off. So we see kind of Loofy flying
through the air inside of like the little bubble. Because
I'm to this point right, Viewers are like, oh no,
did the straw hats? But we kind of get like
this whole well, maybe they're not dead. So Loofy ends
(02:05):
up landing on this island. He is lost, he doesn't
know what's going on, and he there's like a wild boar,
eats the boar and then he eats like this mushroom
and he kind of just gets sick. All these mushrooms
are popping out of him, and these group of women
(02:25):
discover him and they kind of take him in and
you know, like all right, we need to save him.
He's gonna, you know die.
Speaker 2 (02:32):
At this point, they're like, we need to save her.
We need to save yes, save her her.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
They think Loofy is a girl, uh, which will touch
on in like just a second. So they start like
plucking him, like plucking the mushrooms off of him.
Speaker 3 (02:48):
And they're like, oh no, he's or she's super beat up.
Like let's give her a bath.
Speaker 4 (02:54):
So they give Loofy a bath and they're like, what
is this mushroom?
Speaker 3 (02:58):
We can't get.
Speaker 4 (02:58):
Out between his legs and they're like, I want to
touch it now, I want to touch.
Speaker 3 (03:03):
It, let me pull it. And uh, there's this elder
lady and she sees.
Speaker 4 (03:10):
What's going on and goes, wait a minute, that's not
a woman.
Speaker 3 (03:14):
That is a man.
Speaker 4 (03:16):
And we get the reveal that Loofy landed on an
island called Amazon Lily, where it is all ladies.
Speaker 2 (03:25):
Guys one piece comedy.
Speaker 3 (03:28):
Oh boy, oh boy was there?
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Oh my god. I think Sonjy would have died if
he led on this island. He'd just be dead.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
From no, be dead yeah, or he just wouldn't want
to leave.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
The stone just turned a stone without even being there.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Oh my goodness. Yeah, no, you're fine, You're perfectly fine.
Speaker 4 (03:51):
So they lock Loofy up because up until this point
they're like men are dangerous, they're evil.
Speaker 3 (03:57):
And you kind of see.
Speaker 4 (04:00):
Like Lufy's in the cage and he's like what, he
doesn't even know what's going on. He's like, where's my clothes?
Do you guys know where it is? Why am I
in here? I need to find my friends?
Speaker 2 (04:12):
And uh Loofy covering his head before covering his body. Yeah,
Like that's classic Lufi and the then there's this one
girl writing things down like, oh men like to cover
their heads before their body's interesting.
Speaker 3 (04:24):
Interesting, Oh my goodness.
Speaker 4 (04:26):
One of my favorite moments from like this particular like
part the arc was when one of the ladies was like.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
What is that in between your legs? And he was
just like, oh, it's.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
Like my like my family jewels.
Speaker 4 (04:39):
My family jewels and they're all like, oh my god,
there's jewels in there.
Speaker 3 (04:43):
They don't know any better than oh, there's no way.
There's no way.
Speaker 2 (04:47):
Can you take and show us. He's like, no, I die.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
So you see him kind of like all right, well,
I'm trying to get out of here. So he's trying
to get out. He's stretching and doing his little thing,
and then all the girls just start going on the
defensive and they're taking their bow and arrows out and
they're like, well, you can't.
Speaker 3 (05:11):
Leave, blah blah blah blah blah.
Speaker 4 (05:15):
And that's when it was revealed to him that there's
no men on this island. There's like absolutely nobody. He's
the only man, and he just kind of wreaks havoc
a little bit.
Speaker 3 (05:25):
He's like running away.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
He also liked the arrows that the Cooja pirates or
like the the the ladies on Amazon Lily were shooting
or like going through buildings. It was crazy. He ends
up grabbing Margaret and just like taking her to like
the like like over the wall and jumping down into
the forest trying to escape. He's like trying to get
information and like figure out where, like I think his
(05:48):
viva card aces not not aces Rayley's viver card was
He's a little piece of paper. But yeah, he just
like grabs Barker and then jumps one hundred years down. Imagine, yeah,
probably thought she was gonna die.
Speaker 1 (06:02):
Imagine you've never seen the opposite gender before, and that
that's your first Uh the first view into it is
a loopy of all things. Like he's stretching around because
of the devil fruit and like is that normal? Do
they all do that?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Yeah, they don't know what devil fruits are, so like
all men stretch, Yeah, of course.
Speaker 4 (06:22):
So anyways, he kind of, if I'm remembering correctly, he
like runs back into the forest. He Margaret and uh two,
I think two other ladies were going after him, and
they're shooting the arrows.
Speaker 2 (06:35):
And lots of gloss over the other lady's name. I
was kidding. I don't remember either.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I don't remember that.
Speaker 1 (06:43):
You don't remember I know sweet pea, sweet pete.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
Okay, I don't know.
Speaker 2 (06:49):
Afro something after did? I don't know Chatilandra a f
a Landro.
Speaker 1 (06:56):
There we go, But she's not as important as sweetpea.
Sweetpea's a swee.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Anyway, Sorry, it's a bad joke and I couldn't remember
the character names.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
So while like they're chasing him, and there was a
point where Margaret kind of is just like, you know what,
I'm just gonna give you back your whatever. I think
she had, like his weaver card or something. But we
hear that, everybody's kind of like, oh crap. So Boa
Boa Hancock. Yes, and we find out she is a
(07:33):
war lord. So she's arriving back to the island and
we see that a Marine Navy ship pulls up next
to her ship, and the guy I don't even know
his name, he's just Captain's admiral. He's like, Boa Hancock,
you are being ordered to go to Marine for to
(07:55):
fight alongside the other warlords to protect the place from
white beer pirates because of Ace's execution. So yeah, you
kind of see her go I'm not listening to you,
Like she there was a scene where.
Speaker 3 (08:10):
She kicked the kitty, like she she literally does.
Speaker 2 (08:12):
Not care that.
Speaker 1 (08:15):
Bitch.
Speaker 3 (08:16):
She is a menace.
Speaker 2 (08:19):
What was that kit doing getting in her way? Am
I Right?
Speaker 3 (08:22):
Yeah, that's that's a that's a good point.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
So we also kind of get this whole She's probably
one of the most beautiful women in the world. So
you see all the marines on there like fawning over her,
and we get an introduction to her double through power,
which she can turn people into stone like Medusa, but
Hancock snakes that whole motif. Yeah, she has the love
(08:52):
love Beam.
Speaker 2 (08:54):
What did you think of upon first introduction?
Speaker 4 (08:58):
I I'm down bad. She's so pretty. I love I
actually really like Boa, but initially I was.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Like, why is she kicking the kiddie? What did the
cat do?
Speaker 4 (09:13):
That was my whole thing when I was watching, I
was like, what the heck U.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
If we're talked about favorite moments in the entire arc,
that that goes back to what my favorite thing about
Boa is, and that's her power. So I love that.
Her use of the love love beam. You know, whenever
Loopy sees it, the first thing he thinks of is
the slow slow beam. So like flashbacks to the Foxy and.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
You know your character in the arc, you're one.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Of the most important villains of her power makes you
think of him because that's ales that's fair anyway.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Continue So at first, she's like, no, I'm not going
with you guys.
Speaker 3 (09:59):
That is the that is not happening. Nope, you guys
can't make me go.
Speaker 4 (10:04):
We also kind of get to reveal that the Amazon
Lily is located in the com Belt, so there's no
the water's very still, so it only it takes not
not regular ships can get to where Amazon Lily is.
Her ship is kind of tied to two large sea kings.
(10:26):
So the sea kings are pulling this ship.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
Different about the com Belt compared to the regular ocean
or the regular Grand Line.
Speaker 3 (10:34):
Ah, it's much more dangerous, right, well.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
Yeah, they got the sea kings, but there's also no wind.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
Yeah, so they have to it's like still water.
Speaker 2 (10:44):
On exactly, so you like you like a boat can't
travel unless you're paddling, and then the sea kings just
come and get you.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Aside from marine vessels which like typically uh you know,
or engine powered or what have you, steam engine or whatever,
they used to go through the com Belt. And so
that that's important in that they leave Amazon Lily alone
because she's one of the seven war Lords. Right But
but but if she wasn't, then yeah, that would come
(11:12):
into play exactly.
Speaker 2 (11:13):
For the longest time, Amazon Lily was protected by being
in the com Belt. But now that technology is advanced
and marine vestors could travel through the com Belt a
lot more easily, not like super easy, but more easily
now that it's a pirate island full of women, Like
it's a pirate who lives there. It's all women, and
they're they're female pirates, right, so they would be taken
(11:36):
out if it wasn't for the com Belt. But now
Boa is acting as a warlord, and like, I guess
their agreement is leave the island alone. But now she
doesn't want to go and do her war lord and
why should I don't think she's doing anything wrong.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
Anyway, Yes, so we kind of get that interaction and
she just goes absolutely not I'm not coming with you guys,
and just kind of, you know, leaves him, just leaves them,
and he's just like, you know, I'm gonna give you
two days to give me like your final decision, and
(12:17):
you better come with. So she gets to the island
and Marguerite's like, I don't want anybody her to know
that we have a man here, kind of like keeping
him on the down low.
Speaker 3 (12:31):
I'm trying to remember what happens next. It's like a
whole thing.
Speaker 2 (12:36):
At one tries to build a raft and it's terrible.
He's not able to get and Margaret, actually being selfless,
dives into the water and saves Loofy.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
Yes, she saves his life a second time. Yes, So
just whenever you mentioned the raft. So one of the
important things about this arc is this is one of
the first times since the very beginning that we see
Loofy without his crew. So whenever he's starving and almost
eyes because he's eating the wrong mushrooms, he's like, man
I wish Sonji was here. Whenever he's trying to build
(13:07):
a raft, he's like, man I wish Frankie was here.
He e would know what to do with this, right.
So there's coming up with all these situations where you know,
he's realizing how much he misses the and relied on
the crew that he put together.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
Absolutely and eventually he ends up trying to he realizes
he can't paddle his way through the com belt and
he can't navigate his way, he can't build a ship
without his crew. He's screwed. So he's like, you know what,
let's go ahead and find an important person. I don't
know if that jogs your memory. Ah, And where do
(13:40):
important people live in buildings?
Speaker 3 (13:45):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (13:45):
So he's kind of like running around, right, and he
falls into this building.
Speaker 3 (13:51):
So Boa, she let me kind of back up a
little bit because she has a.
Speaker 4 (13:57):
Thing where the whole town has to kind of like
go away, Like they cannot have to be indoors during
bath time because they she's hiding something on her back
that she doesn't want anybody to see. So everybody's kind
of like indoors. There's like a bell ringing, like everybody's like,
it's time for her bath, let's go inside.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
Solofy not knowing any of this stuff, He's like okay.
Speaker 4 (14:20):
So he crashes into the bath and he crashes literally
in the middle of it. He sees the back of
BoA's like her back, and she is She's like what that?
Speaker 3 (14:32):
Who is this person?
Speaker 4 (14:34):
So they kinda they kind of like lock him up,
right if I remember him correctly, They like take him
and they're like, who are you? What are you doing here?
So they put him in like this is almost like
an arena in a sense.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Let's just dialactic.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
One of the most watched scenes in one piece.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
Taking a bath.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
No Foxy reference reference.
Speaker 4 (15:02):
He was.
Speaker 2 (15:04):
No, yeah, exactly you feel about seeing the love love
beam not affect Loofy, Yes she does.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
She's a love love beam and she's like.
Speaker 2 (15:15):
He just thinks he's gonna slow down. So we saw
that the other marines get turned to stone immediately, and
the Vice Admiral had to stab himself in the hand
to avoid being turned to stone, and Lufy is just like,
oh no, I might be slow. Wait, I'm not slow,
question Mark. There's something about this arc that just gets me.
(15:37):
I think it's just so like like it's a nice
contained not super contained obvious to relate to other stuff
in the world, but like you don't have the rest
of the crew, you just have Loofy on a random
island with a bunch of pirate women, and just like
a little it's just so good. There's just so many
little things that I think it does so well.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Anyway, how did you feel about Loofy not reacting or
not being turned to stone?
Speaker 4 (16:04):
I just thought it was funny initially. I'm actually not
entirely sure why he didn't. I thought it was maybe
because like he just isn't attracted to her like the
same way every other man is. They're all like feening
over here, and they're like, oh my god, she's so beautiful,
and Lufy's just kind of like whatever, you know, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
He's Loofy, looy.
Speaker 3 (16:23):
He doesn't think about stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (16:28):
We he's an adventure sexual. There we go, Yeah, on
the right track. I don't think Loofy's brain operates in
a similar way to other men. And he's just like, yeah,
I want to hold adventures with the boys, with with
my crew, I want to come, I want to come
the Pirate King. I don't think he's he has any
(16:48):
interest in relationships or sexual activity at this time.
Speaker 1 (16:52):
Yeah. Either that or it's just the his mind was
too preoccupied with the fear of Foxy, you know, all
the flashbacks.
Speaker 2 (16:58):
Yeah uh.
Speaker 4 (17:00):
I also do want to note that Lufy does say
something that it's going to become a little bit relevant.
I mean, it's gonna become relevant in a little bit.
But he Didtad say he did recognize whatever was on
her back.
Speaker 3 (17:13):
He was just like, that looks familiar. So well, that
comes up in a little bit later.
Speaker 4 (17:18):
So they capture him and they're they kind of throw
him in this arena and.
Speaker 3 (17:22):
Here's boa kind of interrogating him.
Speaker 4 (17:26):
She's like, why are you here? How did you even
get here? Is again, normally nobody is able to just
uh get to Amazon Lily, so she's kind of concerned,
like how did this boy get here? So he's explaining
that he's keeping that his crew, like he needs to
go see his crew and somebody needs to take him
(17:46):
back to Saba.
Speaker 3 (17:47):
She doesn't relieve.
Speaker 2 (17:50):
I got lying here flying and now I'm here crash landed,
and she's like, stop lying to me.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
Yeah, yeah, and we learned that, like it's pretty far
away to sad, right, it's like it's like a week out,
a week away. Yeah, it's even with their boats and stuff.
So uh so, yeah, I don't know if I would
have believed him either. Right, he's just like somehow mm hmmm,
playing dumb.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
And they definitely all think too fondly of men, So
they're assuming that he's lying, and it seems like a
reasonable lie. But at the same time, why would he
come here by himself?
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Right? Yeah? Uh so then if I'm remembering correctly, they
announced that he is going to get executed.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
They're like, all right, well you're gonna die then, and
you see Marguerite sweet Pee and a Filandra they are
like stop, like, please do not kill him. Marguerite's begging,
which is something unheard of. Everybody there is like, you
don't ask her, you don't do that. And you see,
I think there was another lady who was just like,
(18:59):
she's so stupid. Why couldn't she just keep her mouth shut?
And Boo gets down.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Margaret's a good person, and Loofy recognized a good right.
Loopy recognizes that, while Bowl, on the other hand, gets
down and does what.
Speaker 3 (19:12):
She turns all three of them into stone.
Speaker 2 (19:17):
Get ship on. Yeah, so in that moment, she was right,
guys continue.
Speaker 4 (19:28):
So then bo was like, all right, we'll just proceed
with the rest of the execution. She they like, let
out this little dude. He's like a cat or something.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
Big little dude, a huge likes a thing. I don't
know what. Yeah, it's like a tiger panther was kind
of like a panther.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
I think it was a panther.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
He's a kitty cat.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Everybody's like, oh my god, she brought this this cat out.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
And then Loofy just one.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Yeah. Honestly, back to back arcs with unreal punches like
just like this obviously Celestial Dragon has way more weight
than this punch, but this punch the way they did
it as well. You see this cat creeping up. Loofy
slowly turns in slow motion armor extent. Cat goes flying
into like the stadium where the people that were watching
(20:21):
the execution happen are and everyone's faces and they go nuts.
I really do think it's like top ten punches in
one piece, like for like how they actually animate it
and how they actually show it for like one punches
type of thing. Yes, I love it. I persly love
this arc.
Speaker 3 (20:39):
I love Amazon on the leach. I think there's a.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
Great arc airing around this time. Were they trying to compete?
Is that what this is?
Speaker 2 (20:48):
Many many many years before one Punch in But maybe
Mada or the webcomics.
Speaker 1 (20:56):
It's something felt inspired here. But you're not wrong. You're
not wrong.
Speaker 2 (20:58):
The webcar comics start and then h like, okay, back
to back arch. He's gonna one punch someone. That's But anyway,
you also have a good quote or something that they
mentioned like wow, he did that with brute strength without hockey, right,
which is another little reveal.
Speaker 5 (21:19):
Anyway, continue, so you see after this whole debacle, right,
Margaret and her friends get turned into show and here's
Loofy kind of screaming at Boa, like.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
Why would you do something like that?
Speaker 4 (21:32):
They're kind people, and BoA's just like, well, they weren't.
They weren't following the rules and it's fine, they'll forgive
me because I'm pretty, I'm beautiful, and Lufy is just like, no,
she's you forgot Yeah, like that's that's no, I.
Speaker 3 (21:50):
Won't forgive you.
Speaker 4 (21:51):
So then now you know the panther's just out. Boa
has two sisters and they use their devil fruit powers
to become basically large snakes.
Speaker 2 (22:03):
And what are their sisters names? Do we remember?
Speaker 4 (22:06):
It's like Sanders, Sonia and like Marrit something.
Speaker 1 (22:13):
Yeah, but BoA's like their family name. So it's funny
saying like Boa and her sisters because they're all Boa,
They're all they're all named ba Yeah but uh but yeah,
Mary Golden, Sandersnia mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (22:28):
Let's talk about that fight or the duel that Loofy
keeps on calling Au a duel. They're like, it's not
a duel with an execution, and not once did he
ever referred to it as anything other than a duel
or a fight. I loved it, he just didn't even
he never acknowledged the fact that he was being executed.
Speaker 3 (22:43):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 4 (22:45):
So something that I found like really just endearing was
Lufy was like, stop, let's not fight yet, and he moved.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
Margaret Sweep and Apalandra, they're like statues just to the
side because he's like, I don't want them to get hurt.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
Or you get to see how how good bye it briefly,
and so does everyone watching.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
Mm hm.
Speaker 4 (23:09):
They get to see he's not like a bad guy,
not like a criminal trying to take advantage of them.
So they start to kind of fight, you know, they're
spitting stuff at him or fighting, and they are dodging
everything they Lufy's just like, why can't I hit you guys?
Speaker 3 (23:29):
And we kind of saw something.
Speaker 4 (23:31):
Like that already in skypea where I believe it was
an Nell Yes, yes, where and now's like I can
predict your every move. Same thing with Marigold and Sandersonia.
They're they're dodging everything. Lufy is kind of throwing at him,
(23:54):
and I'm trying to remember anything else.
Speaker 2 (23:57):
Can I cut in here for a second. You brought
up Skype, so we got we got like sprinkled hockey
along the way. But one thing that you just run
and reminded me of when you bring up Skypea. Do
you remember who was chasing Loofy before he went up
to Skypea.
Speaker 3 (24:13):
It was black Beard.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
And Blackbeard was trying to take down Loofy with this
hundred thousand million whatever one hundred million very bounty to
become a war lord. And here we are in this
arc and now black Beard is the one who took
out Ace in order to become a war lord. We
get this revealed to us, yes, and he is an
Ace is currently being executed. So essentially Loofy went up
(24:39):
to the sky and black Beard is like, well, shit,
we need to find someone else who's strong. Ace is
going around trying to find this guy, and he just
kind of got lined up. This could have been this
could have been Loofy, Yes, yes, yes, although it wouldn't
have maybe have taken it as extreme as a public
execution and a war with white potentially with White Beard
(25:00):
things obviously like it would have been very different if
it was Loofy. But yeah, this is a different way
that Blackbeard ended up becoming a warlord. I AWA. We
think is very interesting.
Speaker 3 (25:09):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yeah. And while we're off on that little tangent, I
didn't want to spoil it in the last episode or
whatever for you, but but yeah, like we also saw
like the build up to that in Sabo or whenever,
Leys causing trouble and they're like, we don't want to
fight two legends at once, right or what have you.
So it was building up to the fact that the
Marines are doing all they can to prepare for for
(25:31):
white Beard here right, They're they're gathering the Seven Warlords,
et cetera. So it's it's setting up a lot there
in that regard.
Speaker 3 (25:40):
So the second legend was white Beard second legend.
Speaker 1 (25:43):
Yeah, that's that's who they were talking about there.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
And white Beard and I will we Island. No, just
they're saying that, dude. They're like, the Marines need all
their forces across the entire world to deal with white Beard.
They're like, we can't lose anyone. Let's like it's all
it's it's not worth because they know taking out Rayley.
Rayley's gonna take out so many people and they're gonna
have to potentially send very important people here to take
(26:08):
down Raleigh. And you're like, we can't waste these resources
and this time because we're preparing for him if white
Beard shows up, like we need everyone. They literally are
also like call it all the warlords. They're like Boa, Mihawk, everyone,
everyone else, come help us out. White Beard might end
(26:28):
the world over age being executed like it's crazy. Yes, yeah,
and I will say not to overhype it because everyone
loves Alabasta arc or Saga. Everyone loves Water seven and
ens Lobby, and so do I. But we're approaching my
favorite peak of one piece with the next three arcs.
(26:52):
I don't know how far you watched past Amazon, Lily, but.
Speaker 4 (26:55):
I am currently about nineteen episodes away from finishing impell
nice Nice, So I'm getting pretty I'm likely to finish
it within the next week.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Yeah, okay, Well for now, we'll play by ear. We
could try and do next Wednesday if you guys want,
but you're not done, we could take a week.
Speaker 3 (27:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
Well, definitely played by year because I'm not really sure
what my schedule is gonna look like for the next
week or so.
Speaker 2 (27:23):
Yeah, excited, I got excited. I got so excited.
Speaker 4 (27:29):
Ye.
Speaker 1 (27:30):
So he's fighting the Boas Sisters right or the Yes.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
And he's he's kind of he's kind of getting it
from them.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
They're they're dodging everything.
Speaker 4 (27:41):
They there's a point where they were kind of they
were picking him up and kind of wrapping themselves around him,
like and then Loofy getting scared because I believe one
of the statues was gonna of one of the girls
was gonna get broken by this whole fight. He just
(28:02):
unknowingly uses hockey and basically takes everyone out, including the
people in the audience.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
They all kind of fell.
Speaker 2 (28:12):
Down him having this level. It is this different type
of hockey, or having hockey in general. It's been slowly
kind of like we saw Mantra be teased and then
we see these girls using observation hockey, yes, and Loofy
they called it conquerors hockey here and it made a
bunch of people pass out. It was crazy, But we
(28:35):
did get it teased prior. But I don't want to
get into it just yet. I don't think you would
know for sure. I think you actually guessed it potentially
when we were talking about other things that happened previously
that like the.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
Bow and arrows right, because they were I remember one
of the characters said they infused hockey into theirs.
Speaker 2 (28:52):
But not conquer.
Speaker 3 (28:55):
It's a different type of hockey.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Armament or yeah, that'd be arm and hockey essentially. But anyway,
I don't want I don't want to get too into that.
Just just note that it's it's definitely been teased. Now
we see him using this uncontrollable one in a million
conquers hockey.
Speaker 4 (29:12):
Yes it's not uh yeah, I think this was also
it was also mentioned that I I can't remember it
was this arc. Maybe I'm thinking of the next arc,
but only like one in one million.
Speaker 3 (29:21):
People, they said, have it. Yes, it's a very very
very rare type of hockey.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah, and we saw rarely use it as well in
the in the in the auction hall.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Mm hmmm.
Speaker 2 (29:35):
And it was other little things that we see as
well with Loofy, with certain animals and stuff like that.
But I don't want to get into that too much.
Speaker 1 (29:43):
So so he uses that to kind of, like you said,
make sure that the audience faints and everything, just to
kind of freeze them where they're at instead of letting, uh,
letting them get hurt. And then after that we're are
lucky he learned to gear two when he did right,
(30:03):
he needed he needed gear two to be able to
to basically uh, fight on par with the with BoA's
two sisters here.
Speaker 4 (30:13):
Yes, so I believe he does use gear two sometime
during this fight.
Speaker 2 (30:19):
Yeah, I feel like that's kind of what allowed him
to move fast enough that even though they could the
girls could like read his mind with observation hockey. They
even though you knew a punch was coming, if it's
coming so strong and so fast, what are you gonna
do about it? You know, like, if it if it's
like strong, you could kind of like dodge it or
block it. But if it's like so much stronger than
(30:40):
anything you could do, or faster than anything you could
keep up with, then knowing it's coming almost doesn't even matter.
And then he kind of starts to overwhelm the fight
with Gear two and he's like, let's take this fight seriously,
even though it's an execution.
Speaker 4 (30:56):
So there was a they kind of go back and forth,
and there came a there comes a point where the
fight kind of stops. I think one of the sisters
was going to like fall in to like the little
spikes that are kind of under the arena, and uh.
Speaker 3 (31:10):
Lufy, just I believe just stops fighting. They all just
stop fighting.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
Well, she was on fire as well. She was on fire,
her clothes on, Her clothes were burning, and something was
about to be revealed. Does that do all rememory?
Speaker 3 (31:22):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (31:23):
Yes, So her back was going to be revealed, and
then here's Lufy kind of covering it up for her. Yeah,
because he's kind of now aware that, all right, this
is just something they want to protect them right, themselves,
like from people seeing. So you kind of see that
moment where everybody just stops, and I believe it just
(31:44):
pans to Boba just crying because he sees she sees
that Lufy is also in turn protecting her sisters from
I guess the shame of whatever's on their back. Right,
So another moment of Lufy just being a a.
Speaker 3 (32:03):
Good person, you know. Yeah, and he like these people
fighting him, you know.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Yeah, he's one of those people too that always sees
to like the heart of the issue or like the
heart of like people. And it's kind of like his
hat is very important to him. He can notice whenever
something's very important to somebody else, right, so whenever he hears, uh,
here's boa say, like I'd rather die than have somebody
see my you know, what's on my back or like
my sister's backs and stuff, like he sees how important
(32:28):
that is to them, and uh, you know it takes
action to to be considerate in that regard, right, people
have things that they value or treasure, and uh, that's
not something he takes slightly.
Speaker 2 (32:39):
Yeah, So Loofy jumps on her back to protect their secret,
and Bola's like, Okay, this execution's over. Everyone leave evacuate
otherwise you're going to be turned to stone because she
made up this lie to protect their secret. Like if
you see their backs, the gorgon gorgon eyes, you're going
to turn into stone. Blah blah blah. So then they
(33:01):
end up having a conversation. Do you remember what happens
in the ultimatum that Boa gives Lufy.
Speaker 4 (33:09):
So Lufy is demanding Boa to change Marguerite and her
friends back, and Boa says, all right, I will. But
Lufy's also asking can I please have a boat so
I can go back to sad So Boa says, you
have to choose one. You can't have both, like I
cannot give you both, So he ends up choosing Marguerite
(33:33):
and I believe her friends, right, ye, get.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
Back immediately second guests and he's like oh, like their
lives are more important than like me getting to reunite
with your friends. They save me so many time. He
probably even really think about it, but in my head, like,
they save me so many times. They're good people.
Speaker 1 (33:51):
Lufy's twice all.
Speaker 2 (33:53):
Right, And like, honestly, they could have just given him
meet once and Lufy would have been like, yeah, I'm
saving their lives over like getting what I want right
this second. I'll figure out another way, you know. And
Boa and that old lady I can't remember her name
were like immediately shocked, like the fact that he didn't
(34:13):
even hesitate, and like this shows how good of a
person he is. Yes, ah, And I just love that
it goes from Loofy being hunted by the women executed
on execution to being them being like, let's throw them
a banquet, or let's throw a banquet.
Speaker 1 (34:34):
I can't believe a man, but did you be this selfless?
It's crazy thought. It was against everything I ever believed.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
And we get the backstory revealed. Boa opens up to
Lucy and gives the backstory.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
So we get the whole backstory. So I believe he
goes into like the throne room and she is just halfening.
It was one of my favorite scenes where Lufy's going,
why are you not wearing clothes?
Speaker 3 (35:02):
She's like not even like what's going on?
Speaker 4 (35:07):
And she shows him the mark and it's like, uh,
if I remember, it's like a circle. It almost looks
like a half sun in a sense remembering, So it's
not organized, it's not. It's like almost like a tattoo
in a sense.
Speaker 1 (35:22):
And it's like a circle with like three little triangles
up top or.
Speaker 2 (35:28):
What I thought it was all triangles? Am I misremembering?
I thought it was like a triangle with the point
down and then a little triangle below and then three above.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
I well, not that still a thunder, but like they
turned it into a into a sun by putting other
triangles kind of like around the edges. Right, So some
people did anyway?
Speaker 2 (35:49):
Continue yeah, oh.
Speaker 3 (35:50):
No worry stories.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
So Loopy goes, I've seen something similar, and I've seen
it on Oh, he's seen it on Hachi because Hachi
has a mark on his head and you kind of
also see the grandma there, elder lady. She goes, wait,
(36:13):
this is uh, this is the guy who caused all
the issues at Subodie. Because they get the newspaper, and uh,
Loofy reveals that, oh, yeah, no, I was a person
who punched the celestial dragons.
Speaker 3 (36:26):
I don't regret it.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
They just immediately love them. They're like, there's no way
you did that. Like obviously, Boa and her sisters, having
been slaves to the celestial dragons, are like shocked because
no one other than fish Er Tiger would ever stand
up to the celestial dragons and Loofy, just another idiot
(36:47):
throws hands on the celestial dragons, and they're immediately like,
oh my god, this is the best guy ever.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Yeah, we do get that reveal, So you see Boa
kind of getting emotional as well, because we get the
revealed herner sister were kidnapped when they were younger and
they were sold into slavery to the celestial dragons. And
the marks on their backs are branding. They like brand
their humans like marking them and they were basically just
(37:17):
treated horribly and it was just a very very emotional moment,
and that's why they don't want anybody to see their
back because they just, excuse me, they feel a lot
of shame. So we also get the reveal that there
was a the same thing that happened to them, happened
to a bunch of fishmen, because you know, fishmen are
(37:38):
discriminated against in this world.
Speaker 3 (37:40):
We get the reveal that.
Speaker 4 (37:41):
Fisher Tiger, who is a fishman, he raided like the
Celestial Dragon anything Mary jois, and he freed all the
fishmen who were sold into slavery, if I'm remembering correctly.
So that was when Boa and her sisters escape and
kind of everything.
Speaker 3 (38:02):
They went back to Amazon Lily.
Speaker 4 (38:04):
But now we know that Hachi the mark on his
head was a branding from the Celestial Dragons, which is
why he's covering it up because he doesn't want any.
Speaker 2 (38:18):
Don't know for sure. So what it is is many
fishmen were also slaves and they had the mark of
the Celestial Dragon. However, many fishmen were not, and they
formed the Sun Pirates, and what they did was they
covered up the mark with the Sun Pirate kind of
(38:39):
tattoo or they covered it up, and even the people
who didn't have that weren't slaves, also got it because
they were members of the Sun Pirates. So some of
them were former slaves and some of them weren't. And
essentially it was so HATCHI could have been or maybe
he wasn't. He could have just been a member of
the Sun Pirates.
Speaker 1 (38:59):
And because that, it's like you don't know who was
a slave, who wasn't a slave, right, it's impossible to
prove that.
Speaker 2 (39:04):
Or and this isn't to make tattoo. I don't want
to use the word tattoo like it's it's burnt into
their skin, right.
Speaker 4 (39:10):
Yes, it's there was like a visual, there was like
a visual showing mm hmm Boa and her sisters getting
that branded by a steel driver.
Speaker 3 (39:22):
It's such a hard scene to watch.
Speaker 2 (39:23):
Yeah, it's a branding. It's a branding and essentially like
the only way to cover it up is to rebrand
yourself with something larger, which is crazy. Yeah, And just
showing all these fishman going through that for their fellow
fishmen or a fellow pirate crew is great. But yes,
it was a hard to watch backstory at times for.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
Sure, and not to go too deep into the info
dumping here and whatnot. But it's crazy too that we'd
seen Boa be kind of strict and stringent against the
older Amazon lady, that we see that kind of stays
by yourself on the other side of the island. Yeah,
because she used to kind of venture out and whatnot. Right,
But while she was like the Empress before the Empress
(40:06):
before Boa, like, it was her that like found them
after that, right, and like brought them back to Amazon Lily.
It's like if she hadn't like just left and been
venturing out, she would have never found Boa and her
sisters and and brought them back and whatnot.
Speaker 4 (40:21):
So yeah, this also like kind of explains why Boa
is the way she is. Like she's very like almost
like selfish. She doesn't care about anyone else. She's very cruel,
and it's like her way of almost like guarding and
protecting herself because she went through that.
Speaker 3 (40:40):
And like, although I was kind of like man like
she kicking that kitty was kind of kind of messed up.
Speaker 4 (40:47):
Like at that point when that whole reveal happened, I
was like, you know what, I understand why she is.
Speaker 1 (40:52):
Yeah, right, it's like it's extreme to kick the puppy.
But at the same time, it's like, throughout this entire arc,
we're seeing her put on like a tough front, right,
She's being very prideful to kind of compensate for the
shame that she feels of uh of her past, right, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (41:07):
The stuff that she must have went through, right, Like
her past is so traumatic and traumatizing, it makes sense
that it kind of shaped her into the way she is.
And also she's so gorgeous that anyone just gives her
whatever she wants. It's a bad combination of like going
through a lot and then eventually being like, yeah, everyone
will can do it, will forgive me no matter what
I do, and it just like it's just the whull
(41:28):
pass to be a piece of shit. I mean to
be an amazing person.
Speaker 1 (41:32):
The audacity of pretty people. Bro, I don't understand it
that you all think you can get away with anything.
Speaker 2 (41:38):
Yeah, we need to get make some VTA in Jordan.
We need to make some v tubers.
Speaker 1 (41:43):
I'm telling you. Oh yeah, everybody can look like beside
over here a sudden.
Speaker 2 (41:50):
Did you ever see my bulla cosplay?
Speaker 3 (41:53):
No? You cosplayed Boa?
Speaker 2 (41:54):
I costplayed Boa back in the day.
Speaker 1 (41:57):
Yeah, I remember that.
Speaker 2 (41:58):
I forgot about that bull of Briggs's bullet Briggs, you won't.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
I probably have the picture somewhere, honestly, just don't ask
why just have it at the ready chat.
Speaker 2 (42:13):
Do we have a bull of Briggs?
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Emo?
Speaker 1 (42:18):
You probably do? You probably do I do not?
Speaker 2 (42:20):
I do not have a bullet brigs Emo? Was I
not have a bullet brigs Emo?
Speaker 1 (42:25):
It's okay, I have the picture saved. Don't ask why
you have it?
Speaker 3 (42:29):
Chat that that's funny. Wait, this is I love this.
Why didn't you get trusted in it today?
Speaker 2 (42:40):
I should have I should have wake up a minute
before the podcast chat. If you guys could see that
more at the ready than me, that's crazy. I love it.
Speaker 1 (42:54):
It's like speed dial but with pictures.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
Anyway, where we're out.
Speaker 3 (43:02):
So we finished Boba kind of letting.
Speaker 4 (43:09):
Him know what happened, and I think there was like
a question that was asked of like wefy, like do
you regret what you did? And he's like no, like
I don't. I don't regret what I did. He the
selestial dragons, they can they're all horrible people. So that's
when Boa kind of goes like.
Speaker 2 (43:26):
You do you know what they did to my friends?
Speaker 3 (43:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (43:30):
He so it kind of like touches her and she's like, okay,
I will give you your boat so you can be
reunited with your friends and you can go back.
Speaker 3 (43:41):
So she has a change of heart.
Speaker 4 (43:44):
So if I'm remembering correctly, they kind of have like
a whole dinner party. Everybody's celebrating. There's some of the
Amazon Lily ladies who are a little bit skeptical with him,
and they're like, all right, you know, maybe maybe she
she didn't execute it because she wants us to, and
they like try to take shots at him, and he's
(44:04):
just like, not, she's not.
Speaker 3 (44:06):
They're not.
Speaker 4 (44:07):
It doesn't work out, but he's kind of being silly
with them super lively party, And if I'm remembering her correctly,
I think Margaret Reed leaves or Loofy leaves to find
the elder lady, and the elder lady's reading the newspaper
(44:27):
and it is now revealed that Ace's execution I believe
is taking place within the week.
Speaker 2 (44:33):
Yeap within the week, and reading the newspaper in front
of Loofy and Lufy's like, oh my god, White Pird's
fighting someone. I didn't know that, and she's like, yeah,
because firefis is Ace is to be executed, and he
just like grabs Granny is like Ace is my brother,
my big brother.
Speaker 4 (44:52):
Oh yeah, so break out, no idea. So instead of
going to find his crew, Loofy now decides, no, I'm
going to rescue Ace, and it was revealed that Ace
isn't locked in a prison called impell Down, which is
(45:13):
I think has the most the best security, just like
in the world. Not easy to get in and not
easy to get out.
Speaker 2 (45:21):
Isn't it. Did they say that, like no one's ever
escaped except for one person or something. I can't maybe
they say that, I think.
Speaker 1 (45:31):
I think they say that later, but they do say that,
like usually pirates aren't even allowed like within the vicinity, right,
Like it's one of the most lockdown places that they're
that there typically is. Yes, so m so finding out
that his brothers in trouble and whatnot, right uh Loofy
goes and wants to ask Boa for her assistance because
(45:53):
he's she's the only hope he really has of a
you know, of getting back to either his crew or
going and helping Ace.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
Yeah, we are now like on a taking time bomb,
especially like there's no time anymore to work.
Speaker 2 (46:10):
Yeah, it would take a week to even or more
to even get to Amazon Lily, and at that point
Ace would already be executed. So they're like, we need
to go right now, And the Granny comes up with
a plan. But at the same time as them coming
that she comes up with this crazy plan Boa falls
ill if you want to.
Speaker 1 (46:27):
Take it in here. Yeah, it's so everybody's freaking out
because she just went sick suddenly like that.
Speaker 4 (46:36):
There was no signs, no side of like early like
signs or anything side effects. And she's like in her bed,
like her face is all red. She's kind of like
moving around like I feel I feel so sick. I've
never felt something like this before. And then all of
a sudden, Lufy walks in and she's like better, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (46:55):
Lufy's asking for a favor, and she immediately gets up,
but she's like holding yes, being so strong in that
moment for Loofy and then yes, Moofy asked like, hey,
instead of driving to Amazon, Lily, can you uh bring
me on the whirlpool that only the Marines can use,
say yes to helping out with with ace and comply
and bring me to impel down and like ask like
(47:17):
for like this crazy impossible favor, and his sisters are
like you fucking asshole, Like the sisters are like.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
Going crazy grateful, how ungrateful?
Speaker 2 (47:26):
And then bol was like yes, absolutely, no problem.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (47:30):
She She's like I'm sure why not. So it turns
out they were.
Speaker 4 (47:35):
Like, she fell sick because she's in love with love,
realizes that she has fallen in love with it.
Speaker 1 (47:44):
How dare you to laugh at this? How dare you
to take this disease lightly? They said, multiple empresses of
the past have died because of this disease. Okay, but
they suppressed their emotions and that's not healthy for anybody.
So this is this is a very serious thing.
Speaker 3 (48:01):
So I thoughtous.
Speaker 2 (48:03):
It's implied that basically every like, every princess on this
island eventually falls ill to this disease, and if they don't, essentially,
if they don't leave, they die. The only reason Granny
Neon left is because she she left the island, presumably
to chase some guy I imagine.
Speaker 3 (48:25):
Yes, uh yeah.
Speaker 4 (48:30):
So basically they start prepping, right, Yeah, they're trying to
get out. They're like, all right, So the plan was, yeah,
they were gonna She is going to agree to go
to Marine Ford as a war lord to take part
in the execution, but she asks the Vice Admiral, Hey,
(48:55):
I would like to see Ace myself. Is it possible
we can make a stop at impel Down so I
can see the person who's getting executed. And it's a
huge ass because, like you said, pirates are not typically
allowed on impel Down. This is a big, big favor
and she said, I will only go if you let
me do this, and very like hesitantly, he's like, okay, fine,
(49:17):
we'll just do it. We just need you in marine
Ford for when this happens. So Lufy is hiding in
her coat, and because she's wearing a large coat, so
he's like kind of hanging onto her from her back,
and you see like her kind of you know, being
all bossy and they're walking she walks onto their ship
(49:39):
because they're gonna take her on the ship and they
have she has her own little room, and you see
kind of Loofy like having to grab on to her
and she's kind of like like freaking out and blushing.
Speaker 3 (49:49):
And like, oh my god, he's touching me.
Speaker 4 (49:52):
Like it's really really silly, because you up to this
point we only see like Boba kind of be like
a mean, very very girl boss character, but when when
it comes to Loofy, she's like a completely different person.
Speaker 1 (50:07):
So did they say why like they led her into
Dimple Down or was it just pretty privileged like I
can't remember on.
Speaker 2 (50:15):
Essentially, it was like she's like, I have one condition.
I will comply with the world government or the Marine's
orders to partake in the second execution. But my one
condition is I want to least meet the man.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
Oh that okay, got she's just trained it like that.
That's that's slick. I couldn't remember exactly.
Speaker 2 (50:31):
It was just pretty other help that she's ready exactly
if that was if that was some other character there
could be like no.
Speaker 1 (50:40):
I may not realize that, but I know if I
asked to go to ample Down, they would have they
would have it there one white trip, one way ticket.
Speaker 2 (50:50):
Yeah, I thought I was thinking at one point while
watching it down, I'm like, what is great opportunity to
trap a strong pirate. Yeah, I'll let you into imple Down.
Now you can't escape, but working on their side, right, correct?
Speaker 1 (51:04):
Yeah, I gotta say, you don't want to use up
any resources prior to what they're preparing for, right, So.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
You need everything anyway, next week or the week after
we will be covering impelled Down. Ideal.
Speaker 4 (51:20):
Oh boy, actually it's uh.
Speaker 3 (51:27):
I don't wait which one. There's two very pretty ladies.
Speaker 1 (51:30):
I'm talking about Domino of course.
Speaker 4 (51:32):
Oh yeah, Domino kind of like, I'm excited because I
am halfway done with impell Down and I think it's
I have a lot of thoughts about the arc.
Speaker 3 (51:45):
I think it's a great arc, and I can't wait
to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (51:47):
So I'm excited.
Speaker 2 (51:50):
What are your thoughts on Amazon, Lily.
Speaker 3 (51:53):
I think it was really solid arc.
Speaker 4 (51:54):
It definitely had its funny moments, and then now the
steaks are probably the highest it can get because now
we have a family member on the line, Lufy's older brother.
So yeah, I am quite excited to uh to to continue.
Speaker 2 (52:14):
Hell yeah.
Speaker 1 (52:16):
Amazon literally is such an interesting little like transition arc too,
because like I was thinking back to it, like I
watched it initially, and I think it was like fourteen episodes,
but it's only like eleven chapters and there's a lot
in there. And was there ever any part of you,
part of you that thought one of the Amazons would
join the Straw Hats or no.
Speaker 4 (52:36):
I think if I had to take a guess, like
if I had it already known, I think Marguerite would
have been a great addition to the crew.
Speaker 1 (52:44):
I thought for sure she was going to join back
whenever I watched this Initially she had her cool bow
and arrow, it had hockey on it. I thought she
was a shoe in for for a while.
Speaker 2 (52:52):
I thought it as well. I thought there was a
chance that she would do as well because like they
built the connection and this is definitely a common theme
within one piece. Maybe not a ton thus far, but
you know vv and other characters, how do I sweet
pee nice? But like you're gonna see it more and
(53:14):
more where Lufy goes into an arc and there's a
there's a woman that he saves and maybe she saves
him and it goes back and forth. But prior to
this with like vv VV, like everyone wanted to join
the crew and kind of became an onrede straw hat.
But other than that, like with with Robin and Nomi,
we're in very we're very similar situations. Robin saved Loopy
(53:36):
a couple of times technically, and then Lufy saves Robin
against her will Boom, she's a straw hat. So I
did have a similar thing, like Margaret might be a
straw hat here. She's really they're making us really like her.
She's really kind. Yes, I knew bowl it would never
be a straw hat at that point at this point
in the right, but like Margaret, there was actually they
(53:58):
were setting her. It felt like they were setting her up.
But maybe, yeah, I guess not.
Speaker 3 (54:05):
Oh, I failed to mention.
Speaker 4 (54:07):
I believe it was mentioned in Amazon Lily, but we
did kind of get a little bit of chatter from
the Navy Vice admiral saying that they're only missing one
warlord and he's not going to comply and he's locked
also down from until down, so he's he's uh, it
is Jinba. He is the one warlord who would chose
(54:30):
not who is defying the orders of the world government.
So they locked him off there too, So I felt
that was I felt that was also important to mention.
Speaker 2 (54:40):
Oh, for sure, for sure. Yeah, And I'm sure you
know why it's so important, but you shouldn't know why
it's so important.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
I shouldn't know. I can't help myself. It was just
too good, man.
Speaker 2 (54:50):
It was getting good anyway. I will say, like when
I first watched this arc, low key, I think it's
just like for a short arc, you're just a banger.
It is a banger ar so good. It just well
made from start to finish. It's nothing like actually crazy.
But for some reason when I watched it, like it
was one of my favorites early on, and I still
think it's like eight tier. I think it's eightier an
a tier arc.
Speaker 1 (55:11):
Yeah, very solid and just especially with how quick it is, right,
like it's such a short arc, and so is Subodie.
So Subodi and this are together are like thirty something chapters, right,
like thirty five chapters maybe, so it it flies by
with the with stuff coming out you left and rights.
Speaker 2 (55:28):
Yeah, anyway, I am also actually super funny story. I
made my friend watch this arc with me, rewatch this
arc with me, and he had never watched One Piece,
and this is the arc that made him watch One Piece.
And he's like, Shitail, there's a bunch of men in
this show. Like I watched Amazon Amazon Lily, so me
(55:49):
and Jory were probably watching it around the similar time
because I caught up towards the end of Marine Ford
and I was just like, I have no more episodes,
let's start rewatching One Piece. So I just rewatched Amazon
and ended up with a buddy and impelled down after that.
But fortentually, his first introduction to one people with Amazon.
Speaker 1 (56:10):
Oh god, and now he's a big one piece. He
was an addict.
Speaker 2 (56:16):
