Lisa Mazzonetto, LCMHC, LCAS is a lifelong student of exploring relationships, primarily the relationship to self through various lenses. She is a mental health, trauma, and addiction therapist who owns her own private practice in Asheville. Lisa works with people to help change their relationship to self and their past through self compassion, self love and empowerment through changing their narrative to change their core beliefs. She is a Mom to an incredible teenager, a dedicated yogi, fierce advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, and loves most outdoor activities.
In this episode, Lisa and I have a conversation about we can’t change our past but we can change our relationship to it. First we have to accept our past in order to change our relationship to it. It takes healing and everybody’s journey looks different. We can’t change people in our lives but we can change how we relate to them. We can show up for who we are now and how we want to show up and not be tied to who we were when we once related to them.

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
