El arte y la ciencia son capaces de crear grandes criaturas, como las dos exposiciones de las que hablamos hoy. Una en Barcelona, en su Museo de Ciencias Naturales; la otra, en Madrid, en el Museo Thyssen Bornemisza. Ambas nos invitan a mirar al pasado y al presente, también al futuro. A cómo concibieron la naturaleza artistas de otros tiempos, a seres vivos que un día pisaron nuestro mismo suelo o nadaron por aguas saladas que ahora no conocen de su existencia.
Todo ello interroga a sus visitantes y los anima a repensar la historia de la vida, a perderse por los paisajes que un día fueron, a dejarse seducir por las representaciones artísticas de creadores multidisciplinares o a soñar con lo que solo está en el imaginario popular.
Pero aterricemos las propuestas. La muestra “Animales invisibles: mito, vida, extinción y desextinción” nos abre las puertas en Barcelona de la mano de dos exploradores en la más auténtica expresión de la palabra. Uno de ellos, Gabi Martínez, atiende hoy nuestra llamada.
