La llamada especie sabia -el ser humano, el homo sapiens- apenas consigue aprender de sus errores. Es capaz de recordar, sí, y de defenderse contra el olvido a través de la historia escrita pero muy pocas veces evita repetir las catástrofes. Sobre todo la peor de ellas que es intentar solucionar los problemas con guerras, esas que invariablemente empeoran cualquier situación anterior a las mismas. Hoy, en nuestra “Reserva natural”, hablamos con Joaquín Araújo sobre la paz, el pacifismo y la necesidad de ser pacíficos.
Pero antes, hablamos de otros seres que comparten con nuestra especies más del 98% de ADN. Hace dos años y medio se aprobó la ley de bienestar animal que se comprometía a promulgar una ley de los grandes simios, pero eso no ha sucedido todavía. Por eso la organización Proyecto Gran Simio se ha dirigido al Ministerio de Asuntos Sociales para denunciar este incumplimiento y pedir que se subsane. Pedro Pozas, director de esta entidad, nos cuenta sus demandas, y con él nos introducimos también en su último libro 'Guardianes del mañana. Humanidad 3.0'.
