I felt like my life needed something more, I needed a better direction and a new journey to be on and I wanted to do more for people whether that was for babies being born, people getting married or in death. I want to be able to celebrate that person and tell a story about their life.
As a celebrant you need to have the passion and the want to get to know a person. It’s deeper because you want to know what’s going on and about the person. There’s more emotion to it that it just being your 9-5 job. It’s a privilege for you to be invited in and to be given that trust.
You can’t plan the perfect celebration to use in any instance, it’s their celebration. It’s what can I do for them? The best privilege is at the end for them to say their day was amazing, then you know you’ve done a good job because they’re happy.
