Speaker 1 (00:12):
Welcome to the Dirobi
Health Show.
Today I'm talking aboutsomething that is kind of
different and unique.
It's probably the bestsupplement that you've never
heard of.
Well, if you're a fan of Dirobiand Dirobi products, you've
heard of it.
But other people listeningwould not know or have heard of
glutathione because it's justnot near as popular as, say,
(00:33):
multivitamins, protein powdersand minerals.
However, it may be superior insome aspects to all of those.
Let me tell you why.
The human body is completelydependent on glutathione for
survival.
Unlike proteins, carbs, fats, vitamins and minerals, our body
(00:54):
contains glutathione in everysingle cell.
So carbs, fats, proteins, vitamins and minerals are
essential for our health, ofcourse, but the way it works is
we eat those things and then ourbody turns them into the energy
that we need and can create thecells and give us life.
However, all that stuff is alsofeeding our body so that it can
(01:16):
create things like glutathionewithin itself.
Glutathione has been called themaster antioxidant.
It's the body's defense systemagainst wear and tear in daily
life.
It aids in detoxification.
It bolsters immune system.
It supports overall health.
It's an amazing little moleculeand, as I mentioned, in every
(01:39):
single cell it's a tripeptide,which means it's a simple
protein composed of three aminoacids glutamine, glycine and
cysteine.
Now here's what's sointeresting is, glutathione has
many, many benefits and again, our body makes it, but over time
it makes less and less, andit's considered an important
(02:00):
reason why people age, orespecially age prematurely, is
their body's inability toproduce glutathione over time.
So supplementing withglutathione can, for some people
, have a bigger impact on theirhealth than any other supplement
they could take, especially ifthey're over about 35 or 40
(02:22):
years old, although before thatit can have a major effect as
well.
It depends how well their bodyis doing it.
Producing it.
It tends to.
The body's ability to produceit tends to drop fairly steadily
over the years, so boosting itcan have a huge effect.
It actively participates indetoxifying harmful oxidants
(02:44):
known as free radicals, which ispart of the aging process, and
this is crucial for a healthybalance within ourselves that
prevents the ongoing damage thateventually leads to death.
So this is like the ultimateanti-aging supplement.
Okay, it also protects ourmitochondria.
Let's go all the way back toscience classes here and
(03:06):
hopefully you remember whatmitochondria is a important part
of the cell.
It is the cellular powerhouse,in a way, making sure cells
function without interruption.
It works with glucose, potassium and cholesterol in our
cells to safeguard them fromdamage.
So it's not just a supplement,it's a molecule that's
absolutely vital to our body.
(03:26):
It defends our health, itpromotes longevity and it
ensures the cells' integrity andvitality day in and day out.
The benefits are detoxification, which I've already talked about
.
This is the ultimate detox.
It's not a digestive detox, itis a cellular level detox.
It also supports the liver, which, of course, is directly
(03:49):
helping to detox our body allday long.
It assists in purging harmfulsubstances, ensuring that we can
cleanse properly.
It boosts the immune system, and so it helps our body's
ability to fight off infectionsand diseases.
One of the testimonials we geton a regular basis you can see
(04:09):
these at amazoncom and dyrobycomis everyone in the office got
sick but me, which is a prettycool testimonial, right, and
that's because of this immunesupport that it supplies.
Now here's an interesting oneSkin health.
Glutathione has gained acclaim, and there's multiple studies on
its skin health properties.
(04:30):
It contributes to brighter, more radiant complexion because
it reduces the melaninproduction and it protects skin
cells from damage caused by UVexposure and other environmental
factors.
It can also and this again hasbeen clinically studied.
It reduces the appearance ofwrinkles and it also preserves
skin elasticity.
(04:51):
So this is actually a beautyproduct in a sense.
It's helping to give us abetter skin Because it's
combating oxidative stress andreducing impact of free radicals
.
It can slow the signs of aging,so it is known as an anti-aging
supplement.
It also helps protect the brainfrom degeneration and there are
(05:16):
some research now that it isactually a great way to prevent
Parkinson's disease and otherdiseases.
We assume as well.
I don't know of research aboutother prevention of other brain
diseases than Parkinson's, but Ihave seen one scientific study
that has linked high glutathionelevels to lower risk of
(05:39):
Parkinson's, so hopefully youget the idea here.
This is quite an importantlittle molecule, even if we've
never heard of it, even if it'snot the kind of supplement that
we buy when we go out to get oursupplements.
This is one to definitely addto the list, and some of the
things that are working againstus right are aging.
(06:02):
Of course we're all aging andso we want to do things to slow
that process as well as we can.
We have our modern lifestylesincrease our stress, and stress
is another thing that takingglutathione can help, because
stress leads to chronic sleepproblems, poor dietary choices,
and these things can reduceglutathione production in our
(06:24):
body as well.
Now, there are foods thatcontain glutathione and we
should definitely eat those, andthey're mostly the cruciferous
vegetables, right?
Broccoli, onions, garlic aswell.
Well, broccoli is a cruciferousvegetable, but you get the idea
.
However, it's very, verydifficult to get enough
(06:48):
glutathione, and the cookingprocess reduces the glutathione,
and so you can take aglutathione test and so you can
determine whether yourglutathione levels are okay.
As a matter of fact, next timeyou get a physical, it would be
well worth asking your doctor ifthey can throw in a glutathione
test.
They may think that's a nodrequest, but trust me, if you're
(07:08):
over again at 35 or 40 yearsold, it could be very beneficial
just to make sure yourglutathione levels are high
enough.
Did you know, for example, manyhospitals provide glutathione
as part of their postoperativeprocedure because it boosts the
system and surgery releasesanti-ox free radicals sorry, is
(07:32):
hard on the body and hospitalsinject it in their IV cocktail
that they often give peoplepost-operation.
Okay, now there's differenttypes of glutathione, however.
Remember what I said about howthe body produces glutathione.
So the problem is is that ifyou swallow a peptide, then your
(07:55):
body, your stomach, doesn'tknow what to do with that.
It wants to break everythingdown, and so oral
supplementation of glutathioneisn't wise, because pills and
capsules go into your stomach.
Your stomach doesn't know whatto do with it.
Imagine it's like drinkingblood.
I know this sounds super gross, but if you need more blood,
(08:15):
they're not going to have youdrink it.
Your body would digest it andbreak it down, and no more blood
would end up in your system.
It has to be put directly inthe bloodstream.
It's the same with glutathione,so people try to produce
liposomal glutathione because itwill get more glutathione in
the system, but it'll still be atiny fraction of what you
(08:36):
swallowed.
You can also get glutathioneinjections I already mentioned
that post-op, and there arepeople who are so low on
glutathione they need to getinjections.
However, we have determined thatthe two very best ways to get
glutathione are as a spray, which is how we sell Mimi's
Miracle Glutathione, or anennebulizer, and this is
(08:59):
something that people often doif they're having a respiratory
problem is they will nebulizeglue to thion.
Whether you nebulize it or takeit as a spray, it's the same
process.
You take six sprays orally andthen try not to swallow it.
Swish it around your mouth andlet it absorb directly into your
bloodstream through the wallsof your mouth, and that method
(09:22):
will bypass the digestive system.
Make sure it goes into yourbloodstream and gets used.
And then the nebulizer the samething.
You put six sprays into yournebulizer and then you nebulize
for the next 10 to 15 minutes,or whatever the instructions are
on your nebulizer, but you usethe same amount, and we have
quite a few people who do thatas a matter of fact.
So that is what we, you know, strongly argue for is that you
(09:48):
take glutathione in a formatthat will go directly into your
bloodstream and bypass thedigestive system.
So these are some things aboutglutathione that I hope you find
interesting.
I find it interesting.
I take it every single day.
I take it twice a day.
I spray six sprays in my mouthevery morning and every evening
(10:09):
at dinner, and I recommend thatyou do as well.
It's not an expensivesupplement, so you know.
You can check it out atdirobycom.
Use the code podcast to save10%.
I'm also going to create a blogpost about this, as I do on
every episode.
That will include some of thescientific research that was
(10:31):
used for this episode.
It is one.
A couple last things.
It is safe.
The safety profile is very good.
There are no contraindications, other than if you're taking
acetaminophen.
Acetaminophen, sorry, andthat's oh my gosh, that one is.
(10:51):
It's not Tylenol, right?
It's oh my gosh.
Hey, I'm too far into thispodcast to stop and correct
anything.
I'm just going to sayacetaminophen.
Be careful with glutathionebecause it may interact, so you
can check that online to see ifyours will react with
glutathione.
Otherwise, the safety profileis very, very good.
(11:21):
Another thing that you can dothat's interesting is you can
spray it into your face or bodycream.
Just take a spray, spray it in,mix it up, put it on your face,
because some of the research onthe skin benefits of
glutathione were done withtopical, so most of them are
done when you take it internally, as with Mimi's Miracle
Glutathione.
However, if you put it directlyon your face, you'll get
(11:43):
benefits as well.
Your skin cells know what to dowith glutathione and there are
studies that show that peoplehave a more bright complexion,
lightened skin and reducedwrinkles from applying it
directly.
So there you go Glutathione, possibly the best supplement
you've never heard of Find hours, which I firmly believe is in
(12:07):
the absolute best format of aspray.
By the way, it tastes good andif you're going to put a spray
in your mouth, you don't want tohave something gross.
Glutathione is an incrediblydifferent molecule to flavor
because in its raw form ittastes like sulfur.
So I'm actually very proud ofour team and how we've come up
with a flavor profile that isnot only palatable but tastes
(12:29):
nice.
We get comments on it,especially people who've taken
other liquid glutathions.
They often don't want to takeany more because they taste that
sulfur and it's really gross, and ours is not.
So there you go.
So check out Mimi's MiracleGlutathione at dirobycom Use
code podcast to save 10% and youmight never go back.
(12:51):
Benefits can be all over themap.
As a matter of fact, of all theproducts that we get,
testimonials on, this might bethe most diverse, and the reason
why is because when you're lowon glutathione, because it's so
critical to your body and inevery single cell that when you
start getting it, the benefitscan manifest in almost any way
(13:13):
you can imagine from increasedenergy to better sleep, to
better skin, to just an overallbetter sense of well-being,
because it's fundamental to yourhealth.
Until next time.
This is Dave Sherwin, wishingyou health and success.
