I have seen an interesting pattern over the years where a client very much wants to accomplish what they are coming to see me for--but to do so would mean losing face with a family member or loved one. For example, a client with a fear of driving is told that she should just get over it, that she has been able to drive before so she should be able to drive again. This creates a challenge when working with this client because if she lets go of her fear she is, in a sense, saying they were right-- it WAS no big deal. How can you break this pattern so the client gets results without losing face? That is the topic of this week's show
