Speaker 1 (00:00):
Uh, everybody's starting to put everything together. The playbook, he's
staring to pile up a little bit. Feel like the
guy's attention to detail. With the long weekend, we feel
like we came in ready to work today. So I
feel like we're doing pretty.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
Good right now.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Oh, I wouldn't say it's different. It's it's a lot
of components. It's like a multi d Uh. You're running
some of everything. So you just got to stay on
top of your playbook.
Speaker 3 (00:21):
You look dinner much weight.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
If you lost since last season.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
They probably lost like three pounds as of right now.
Speaker 5 (00:26):
Agrees it is just different on you.
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Uh, we got it and did my body coming since
we first got back with More than Life, no doubt.
Speaker 6 (00:35):
No doubt about that. NBA. Uh, but you guys were
asked to play heavy last year. Did you guys feel
that at some at different points on the defensive side.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
Uh, I'm not gonna use it as an excuse, but
I mean it definitely played a little I felt like
it played a little bit of toll on you close
to the end of the season as we kind of
got on.
Speaker 2 (00:52):
But uh, it has its pros and its cuns. Have
you shure you give yourself.
Speaker 1 (00:56):
From now that you're not just you know, a younger
guy and out you're looked at it as one of
its Like I said, it's just a lot more mental now.
I feel like I play a lot faster. I'm a
lot more comfortable to guys in the locker room or
a lot comfortable with me too. And I feel like
that just came with me coming into the league, establishing myself,
making plays for myself, and regardless of what the media
or what position I was drafted, it's just me coming
(01:18):
in and making place.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Everybody's starting to believe you have a feel for all.
Speaker 7 (01:21):
Your little changings and versus stuff world.
Speaker 1 (01:25):
Uh, if it changes at all, I was just wanna say,
I really don't feel like it's anything's really changing. I
just feel like we were getting out the ball, were
rolling and Uh, like I say, we running a lot
of a lot of things in this defense that I
feel like we could take advantage of.
Speaker 5 (01:36):
What are your personal of the league.
Speaker 2 (01:39):
I love them.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
It brings all of the coaches, including Limb, but I
think it starts with him an energy guy. Uh young,
He's always trying to get feedback from the players, So
I feel like that's gonna carry us along way as well.
Speaker 2 (01:50):
Energy is practice. How is that just helping guys when
you're out here at the dog Man, I mean it
helps her.
Speaker 1 (01:54):
I feel like everybody, if you got a high energy
guy like that, especially on days like this it gets
hot out here, you probably somebody's going to need somebody
to pick somebody up and bring 'em along with them.
And that's what the coach is encouraging. The coaches are
doing that to us, and us as players have to
pick up the players beside us as well to do
the same thing everyone.
Speaker 7 (02:09):
Everyone talks about the hate continuity on the offensive side,
but this is what like the ninety defensive coordinator whatever,
since you've been here, seems like, would you like to
see a little bit more continuity and how do you
think that will help kind of like the.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
Defense kind of repress? Uh? Most definitely would.
Speaker 1 (02:24):
But I mean, like I said, I'm not gonna I'm
not the type of person to make excuses, but I
feel like just everybody would be a lot more comfortable
that way if we all if we're solid, Uh, like
I say, no weak links. Uh, you lose one link,
then you try to piece things together. But once you
get it jail then and everything's clicking.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
I feel like it does floor a lot better.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
What do you like about being defense or system? Can't
up with all your NFL?
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Like, my main thing is the energy.
Speaker 1 (02:47):
That's something that I feel like we was kind of
missing a little bit last year, and uh, I feel
like it's gonna play a big role with what the
coaches are bringing in out. That's the energy he kind
of provides to That's that's all the coaches.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
What's he like a new force better to be kind of?
Speaker 1 (03:00):
It was mainly the first thing that stands out is
his energy. It's not more so about I mean, he's
a great guy once you get to know him, but
the first thing that sticks out is the energy. He's
consistent with it every day and that's all you can
ask for a for a person to be the same
person every day, regardless of if he's a higher energy
guy or if he's just a mellow guy. He's one
of those high energy guys every day.
Speaker 2 (03:19):
I know it's been a minute, but what.
Speaker 6 (03:20):
Was your first reaction when your contract gotta picked up?
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (03:23):
Me, right now, I'm not worried about that. I just
leave that up to my agent. It to the upstairs
people upstairs.
Speaker 7 (03:30):
But when they picked up a pick your option in
the center, I was excited.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Alright, Obviously I'm here in Jacksonville and put me here
in Jacksonville for a little bit longer, but I still
have to come out here and do it I'm supposed
to do every day?
Speaker 8 (03:40):
Is it?
Speaker 2 (03:41):
Nothing is guaranteed?
Speaker 7 (03:42):
Sorry, does it seem like it's been three years already?
Speaker 2 (03:46):
It doesn't.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
It's it's going by pretty fast, man, just taking it
out land and joined the day by day.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
You got your camp picking up something. Just talk me
a little bit about that. Oh yeah, man, something my camp?
So ona say. It's June fourteenth.
Speaker 1 (03:59):
I just wanna get back to my community in any
little way that I can. I know a lot of kids.
I went back to my hometown this weekend. A lot
of kids was coming up to me, actual talking to
me about it. Uh So it just makes me excited
that they're already talking about it and ready to get
to work, and I'm ready to help them develop as well.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
You've got to be to a high level of running.
Speaker 6 (04:16):
Where do you see yourself going this year?
Speaker 2 (04:18):
What are your areas as a right now?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
I really haven't just set out any goals for myself,
But I always tell myself, just get one percent better
every day, and that's coming in Like today we have practice,
I'll go in and watch film and probably just uh
look at some fine details and try to get one
percent better at whatever it is I'm trying to come
into the next day of practice.
Speaker 7 (04:39):
Double big of sacks? What does that mean to you?
Speaker 3 (04:42):
Back to back years?
Speaker 7 (04:43):
Got a chance to do it three years in a row.
Is that a a magic number in the past rushing stats?
Speaker 2 (04:48):
I would I wouldn't.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
I mean, everybody wants to get double to just sacks,
but uh for me, I just wanna be a total
complete football player. I wanna be able to stop the run,
cause we can't rush the pass without stopping and run.
And once we do that, then that allows us to
uh get out of the p out of the quarterbacks.
But I mean, like I said, I just want to
come out here and be the best overall player that.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
I could be able to.
Speaker 7 (05:06):
I think you'll get more opportunities inside this year than
maybe in years past, or you haven't yet, who knows.
Speaker 2 (05:12):
I mean, I mean it's an NFL. We'll go game
week the week, We'll see.
Speaker 4 (05:17):
Us in terms of bodies on the ground and just
take like practicing cleaner. It was much cleaner than day one.
Let's just say, right when you're just trying to come
in and get it going again after a few days off.
I thought it was definitely cleaner.
Speaker 2 (05:36):
Was it perfect?
Speaker 4 (05:37):
No, but I thought it was definitely better than the
previous Monday.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
If you will.
Speaker 7 (05:42):
It looks like a lot of your key defenders have
lost weight compared to last year. Was that a team director,
Was that something that you wanted to see or was
that something they did on their own?
Speaker 9 (05:50):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (05:50):
Yeah, just kind of getting some of those guys back
to you know, their natural playing weight, just kind of
where that maybe been in years past of having success
and kind of getting back to that is really what
it came down to.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Did you show up one.
Speaker 6 (06:05):
Watching that last year that they were a little.
Speaker 4 (06:08):
Bit on I mean side, you know, I know that
they had put some weight on, you know, in order
to play some of the schemes that you know, structures
that they were playing, and that's just you know, anybody's prerogative,
right That's that's the way they wanted to do it.
And ultimately just kind of evaluating it and talking to
some of the players and just trying to get them
back down a little bit to to maybe where they
(06:30):
had been when maybe they had had better years or
been a little bit more productive and definitely better for
for those guys to feel fresh.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
Yeah, you've got the defense yet.
Speaker 4 (06:40):
Yeah, last Wednesday, what do you think when you saw
him out there?
Speaker 2 (06:44):
That was good?
Speaker 4 (06:44):
You know, I mean he's still learning. He's been learning
a ton defensively and offensively as we know, you know,
but that was more so fundamentals techniques. It wasn't a
ton of eleven on eleven seven on. It was more
fundamentals techniques. Communication. That was what that kind of last
Wednesday was. And he's been learning with those guys and
(07:05):
meet with him extra as he's needed to.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
There's a video going around right now just walking up
to a local high school kid and kind of introduced himself.
Speaker 6 (07:13):
They can get to pay.
Speaker 2 (07:14):
What was that kind of sad?
Speaker 4 (07:16):
Yeah, that's pretty cool to hear. I hadn't I hadn't
heard that. That's that's pretty cool. It's it's in alignment
with who he is, you know, that's who he is
kind of out here. I'm sure he probably goes up
to some coaches and people on the field that he
may not even have had many interactions with and gives
him a fist bump or you know, high five, and
that's kind of just who he is. Pretty cool to
(07:37):
hear that story. He's been great man.
Speaker 2 (07:40):
He's made a lot of plays.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
He's been really productive throughout this whole camp so far,
showing versatility to do maybe some things that you know,
he had him put on tape maybe in the past
or wasn't asked to do from his uh skill set standpoint.
I thought, obviously he was very productive towards you know,
the halfway point of last year into the playoffs, and
then you see that confidence continuing to go throughout this
(08:05):
camp in this off season. So he's been doing a
nice job of being able to run vertically but also
you know, being the nuanced route runner and some of
the daggers and incuts and things like that. I thought
he's he's been very locked in this entire time. I've
been really impressed with the pro that he is.
Speaker 2 (08:24):
The head coach.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
What's the biggest difference between being a hate coach now
and being you.
Speaker 4 (08:29):
Know, coordinated, Yeah, you got to spend your time in
a lot of more places right where you're typically as
a coordinator, you're so locked into what is in front
of you and the script and making sure that you
have the right plays in the right order and the
right people in the right spots. Now it's a little
bit more trying to go and make sure that you
(08:50):
get eyes on each position group, connect with the guys
out in the grass, make sure that they're, you know,
upholding the standard and the way we're trying to practice
and do things. So it's a little bit more broad,
I guess scope, while still being able to go in
and call it. And I thought the coaches have done
a great job in terms of the organization of practice
so far of the four practices we've had, the structure
(09:13):
of the organization, guys going from drill to drill, I
feel like he's been pretty sharp.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
So kudos to the staff.
Speaker 7 (09:19):
A new outra on you having with your impressions manim.
Speaker 2 (09:23):
Pro, you know, pros Pro.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
He's done things the right way since the day he's
walked in here. He's got a great demeanor in terms
of just being around the building, being in the meeting setting,
but also out here on the grass. He knows how
to practice. You don't see him out out of control
all that often. He has really good body control for
a big guy. I'm sure he could probably do a
(09:48):
lot more damage out here in some of these settings
than he's allowing on because he's doing it the right
way though, right He's focusing on his fundamentals and techniques.
He's trying to do the things all the time, and
you can definitely see some of the leadership qualities he
has just kind of naturally from.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
What you can see the defensive line obviously no contact.
If you like the progress that that rim is making,
I do, yeah.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
I think that from a communication standpoint, all five being
on the same page, you can definitely see an intent
behind what they're trying to do. I think Sean mt
Khali and Trevor have done a really nice job in
that room, and I think the players have caught on
I mean a lot of ways. It is extremely difficult
(10:35):
to evaluate this time, specifically the fronts, but from a
fundamental technique, communication angles, understanding the scheme, if you will,
and what we're trying to get accomplished on each play.
Our defense is thrown a ton at us from a
bullet standpoint, and just different looks. That is challenging. Especially
(10:58):
in Day four of OTA, so that'll only help us
moving forward. And I think those guys have done a
nice job so far, a lot of.
Speaker 8 (11:05):
Help to get past Parker on that wide receiver depth chart.
What do you see from some of those younger guys
hoping up fill in those.
Speaker 9 (11:12):
Other games in that room.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
Yeah, I think that, you know, Josh Stephis has done
some good things over the course of the off season program.
I think Camper is shown up in a way as
you know, he made a big play today obviously on
the touchdown, a great tracking throw by Nick and and
you know, he's done a nice job. The whole group
is I don't want to say they're swimming, but at
(11:34):
times they're going to be. You know, there's so much
of when these guys come in post draft, especially you
know later on in an install of a whole new system, right,
so our our vets and these guys have been in
an offense for let's call it right a month and
a half and now these guys get put into it
right in the middle of an install. So it's really
(11:56):
hard to judge some of that, but I think they've
done a nice job of Hey, try trying to handle
it in the heat with the elements doing a lot
of running. So we'll see about how these guys end
up competing in training camp.
Speaker 6 (12:07):
Though, back to Travis Hunter, is is it better a
little bit for him to not have him go offense
defense on the same day, to give him a number
of days on defense and then one day on offense.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
Yeah, yeah, Well, we won't put him in that situation
to have him do that, although I'm sure he'd probably
want to. Yeah, I'm sure, but at the end of
the day, it's trying to you know, he still meets
defensively every day that he's on offense, so he's getting
the mental part of it and being able to catch
up on some of the communication, some of the corrections
(12:41):
off the film from the defensive side of the ball.
So he's getting a lot of the mental and it
would probably be unfair to put him out on the
grass and do both and ask him to go do
that and see success.
Speaker 7 (12:54):
You know, time when you would do that, he'll like
during the seas meeting.
Speaker 4 (12:58):
Yeah, I would say so in season, he's gonna probably
have to just because it's the way that practices are
kind of organized. He's definitely gonna have to do that right,
Like I envisioned maybe a third down day in season
where obviously he's playing receiver, but he's also gonna have
to go get some reps on defense and be able
(13:19):
to do some of those things.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
So it will come up.
Speaker 4 (13:21):
Absolutely just from the teaching and the initial stages of it.
Don't really see that being something we'll do anytime soon
as you can when you guys have.
Speaker 7 (13:30):
Thrown at him the way you expect them to just
throw into the process.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
Yeah, yeah, I would say so. I mean we we
don't just line up and trips right and double left
and I right all that often. So it's probably just
from a system standpoint, it's got a lot there's a
lot of moving parts. There's a lot of motion. So
he's gonna have some mistakes, as has a lot of guys. Right,
(13:56):
There's gonna be some. I don't think we've had a
complete uh ton of plays where he is not knowing
what to do right. There may be an instance where
he aligns right, runs there out, but maybe is a
yard or too shorter.
Speaker 2 (14:09):
He messed, you know what I mean?
Speaker 4 (14:10):
Things like that, the little details that he'll continue to learn,
and I think he's about where we would expect though,
as an offensive coach.
Speaker 6 (14:17):
What is it what's hard in this league by going
against a defensive a zone defense mostly zone.
Speaker 4 (14:22):
Yeah, just if you can get a pass rush with
playing you know, vision zone coverage and mixing it in
with obviously some match principles and man coverages. That's hard
because you can you can kind of squeeze the offense
that way, where if you can now get a rush
and now the ball's got to come out, but you
don't have a ton of room. If you can play
(14:44):
zone coverage a little bit tighter in terms of not
just spacing the whole off the whole field, now, I
think that's the key. You obviously saw Philly have a
lot of success this past year playing a lot of
vision zone coverage, shell coverage, still getting a rush with four.
I think if you were to draw up you know,
what's the ideal. I think that that's what you would
(15:05):
say as a defensive coordinator, Man, I can rush for
and play three deep in quarters. Man, that's gonna be difficult.
Speaker 6 (15:11):
When you took this job, that was one of the
things that stood out was it I can get home
with four.
Speaker 4 (15:14):
That's what's fo Yeah, you're you're hoping. So you know,
that's what you'd like to be able to do, and
they've shown to be able to do it in the
past obviously, and you know, we could continue to help
them by putting him in those positions or whether it's
with stunts and twists and games and trying to create
different angles for us up front. Yeah, there's gonna be
times where we just got to say, hey, you four
got to go win. That is going to have to happen,
(15:36):
But ultimately it's also on us to be able to
put him in the right positions to have that success
for a trafacy team.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
Sit again, what's the day of personal date for a
trafasy team?
Speaker 4 (15:45):
Oh yeah, I think he just had a flight situation,
so wasn't anything, Uh, no issues. Thanks, Yeah, thanks guys.
Speaker 5 (15:52):
Thanks the culture of the team, of the unit, you know,
was heading in the direction we wanted to go.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
So we're we're excited about that, but a lot of
work to do yet.
Speaker 2 (16:00):
You know what he's seeing out at Ravon and the
Josh Show front.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
Just really excited about those guys.
Speaker 5 (16:05):
I mean, obviously their ability to rush, but they've done
a really good job in a run game at this
point too. Uh, their technicians and their D line coaches
have done a great job with him to this point.
Speaker 3 (16:14):
So I'm really really pleased with their effort. And Uh,
they're great guys.
Speaker 5 (16:17):
To man, they're guys you love to coach, and you
can't coach those guys to shooting.
Speaker 9 (16:21):
Coach shot from man and man events to eight. So
she says, he said this is the first time he's
ever worked his own defense. So in your perspective, how
has he been doing in that chance?
Speaker 5 (16:32):
Who were asking about Jarren? Yeah, I think he's done
a great job the whole camp. You know, he's really
really diligent in the meetings, Uh, super detailed and all
the drill work, and I think it's showing up here
uh in practice, you know, in seven o seven and
then the team situations. But uh, I've been really fired
out about him because he's a really bright guy and
he's a competitor. You know, he's definitely got the ability
(16:54):
to play man to man and play sticky.
Speaker 7 (16:56):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (16:56):
But he's got good ball skills and he's got a
ton in his body in terms.
Speaker 3 (16:59):
Of physically, you know, he could stop start.
Speaker 2 (17:02):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (17:02):
He's just a really good cover guy and he's got
a really really.
Speaker 3 (17:04):
Big skill set. Why ranging skill set is a dB
all right?
Speaker 6 (17:07):
All four years?
Speaker 3 (17:10):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 5 (17:12):
Yeah, I think I think, uh, you know, obviously, like anything,
time will tell, but I think he's got a ton
of ability and I'm really really excited about where he
can go this year. I think this is a big
opportunity for him, and I think he's going to do
a really good job for us this year.
Speaker 8 (17:27):
On record, how do you pronounce your last name?
Speaker 3 (17:29):
Pronounce my last How do I pronounce my last name?
Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (17:32):
Well, well he was an Italian, this Campanili But yeah,
but everybody says CAMPBELLI.
Speaker 3 (17:37):
So you know, I just rolled with the punches.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
Whatever.
Speaker 3 (17:38):
Just don't call me late for dinner, you know. That's
about it.
Speaker 1 (17:44):
Said.
Speaker 8 (17:45):
Your connection with him port why he's here, if you
can just speak to where that relationship starts in Miami,
where it is.
Speaker 3 (17:51):
Yeah, I love that guy.
Speaker 7 (17:52):
Man.
Speaker 5 (17:53):
He's such a great human being and uh, if you've
had the chance to be around him, he really is.
He's a great guy, super come, copetitive guy, but a
technician like on the field, you know, run game, pass game.
He's been great for a lot of our younger players too,
because he's got a great. Well, not only does he
have a great skill set, but he's really got a
wealth of knowledge and has had a ton of a
ton of success in his career to this point, and
(18:15):
those a lot of stuff that we're doing in the system.
Speaker 3 (18:17):
So yeah, I love bog I was really really fired.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Up about getting a beer and I'm happy he's here.
Speaker 8 (18:23):
How important was it for you to film that quote
unquote edge three role that many believes been lacking there
for a couple of seasons.
Speaker 5 (18:28):
Now, I think that's an important piece because you know
that guy when you go back at the end of
the year, that guy has a ton of production for you.
You know the next guy in and Emmanuel is a
guy that we really we gain a ton when he's
out there on the field. Like I said, wealth and knowledge,
a great competitor, and we have a really good player
against a run and a guy that's had a lot
of success in his career as a pass rusher.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
So yeah, that was a really really important piece for us.
Speaker 8 (18:52):
But guys like Josh Devin's three coordinators in four years,
how challenging is that for those guys?
Speaker 3 (18:57):
Yeah, I would imagine it. It's it's challenging.
Speaker 5 (19:00):
I think the thing that I really try to focus
on is, you know, our relationship with our players, you know,
my relationship with them, trying to get them to be
the best possible player they can be. And I can imagine,
you know that that's hard, a lot of transition, never easy.
But my experience with those guys has.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
Been nothing but uh.
Speaker 5 (19:19):
I mean, they've been unbelievable, just total pros. And they've
been really really hungry every day coming in to learn.
Obviously in the meeting room and out here on the
field they have.
Speaker 7 (19:28):
Those guys gained some way to play in last year's scheme.
So how hard is it for the terms of guy
to kind of play when maybe they're not truly comfortable
with the way their finding feats.
Speaker 5 (19:37):
Uh, you know, I wouldn't know that they probably be
better to better suit to answer that question, But I
really like the way they look right now. I think
they're really moving well, and they got a ton of strength,
which you know you need that you need strength.
Speaker 3 (19:48):
At the point of attack.
Speaker 5 (19:48):
You've got to play physical, you've got to be able
to whoop blocks, you know, be violent on the line
of scrimmage. So they look really good. I love what
they've done this offseason and our strength staff's an unbelievable
job with these guys have been grinding him and uh
showing out here.
Speaker 3 (20:02):
You know, it's been been good.
Speaker 7 (20:04):
You know, hey, look, we wanted to be lighter than
what we were last year.
Speaker 5 (20:07):
No, it's really more so just we meet, uh you know,
as an organization, you know, with the strength staff and
just kind of look at where we think the best
way for those guys to go is in terms of
their weight, you know. But also, in my opinion, when
you're a pro, you usually know, hey, when am I
at optimal speed?
Speaker 3 (20:24):
You know, where am I my strongest? Where I'm not
losing strength or losing speed?
Speaker 5 (20:27):
And I think those guys that a great job with
that in the off season when they're away from here coming.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Back in great shape.
Speaker 5 (20:33):
Having a players.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
What's it like having to share a player the meeting?
Was it like to having to manage you know what
I mean?
Speaker 5 (20:42):
Honestly, I've coached in high school, college and pro, so
I feel like I've done that a lot.
Speaker 1 (20:46):
So Uh.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
No, he he's a special guy because he's really really
a bright guy. I know you guys have gotten the
opportunity to meet him, but.
Speaker 5 (20:54):
You know, all the coaches, everybody's been really impressed with
his ability to retain the information. He's been out here
with us obviously on defense, and I know he's on
offense today, but he's done a great job with that.
And I can't imagine another guy being any better better
suited to handle that. Travis is really certainly suited to
do that.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
Coach said last Wednesday, out there with the defensive Yeah,
he was out with us last Wednesday. I think when
you saw him out there, I think he's pretty good. Yeah,
I'll fired up to have him out there.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
And uh, he did a very good job, you know,
getting out there, and he's done a great job with
Coach Milis and Coach Lescarry, a couple of the other
coaches on staff, just spending time and he's doing extra
every day.
Speaker 3 (21:32):
So I have a ton of respect for everything that
he's done to this point of work.
Speaker 4 (21:35):
Are you gonna have to negotiate for him during games
like you need him on the defensive.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
Sign that's something hey guy is but uh no, we
we have a plan for Travis and and uh excited
to put that in place.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
And it's kind of it's been going very well to
this point, so We're excited to keep it moving throughout
the course of the preseason in the regular season.
Speaker 6 (21:53):
Sorry, we can bring in veterans like you know, Jordan
Lewis and Eric Murray Connedy for the second area.
Speaker 5 (21:58):
I think those guys are great communicator. You know, you
really gain a ton when guys are good communicators on
the back end because.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
To us, like when you're talking about.
Speaker 5 (22:06):
The pillars of defense, that's number one, being able to Like,
communication leads to anticipation, right, and big players are made
with anticipation. If I know it's one or two things,
I'm gonna be super aggressive and I'm gonna have the
opportunity to seize the moment and make a play. That
often happens with guys that are good communicators and guys
that are focused.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
You know, a veteran guy usually brings that to the table.
But they're elite in.
Speaker 5 (22:27):
That regard and not just that they're both really good players.
So I have a ton of confidence in those guys,
and I think the guys around them have really enjoyed
having them around because they're a great sounding board for them.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
You know, they're they're They've been a big help to
so many.
Speaker 5 (22:41):
Younger guys and like I said, great communicators that kind
of brings the camp to everybody out on the field.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
Good to talk about the obviously the Tyson who seen
Jordan m Lewis, Who've seen Darian, Jonson.
Speaker 2 (22:50):
And Buster Brown?
Speaker 5 (22:51):
Just what is your Yeah, all those guys have done
a great job. I think Buster has done a great
job too. He's really been physical on the line of scrimma.
I know I've talked about Jarn and Jordan already, but
Buster's done a really good job. He's a super diligent
guy too, really really detailed in what he does, and
I've had a lot of fun coaching him and being
around him to this point. But they've all done a
great job. I kind of all just mixing them in
as we go here with OTAs, Did that person really
(23:13):
do something that you look forward with guys like Jarian
and Jordan Gan, Yeah, you love that, you know what
I mean.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
You love to have guys that can play multiple positions.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
I think Jarian is a guy that can play a
bunch of different positions, and Jordan obviously has been able
to do that in his career and hopefully and I
know he will continue to do that with us but
that makes it exciting because those guys can do a
lot of jobs. You know, they're physical guys at the
point of attack, which is huge, you know, so you
can do more with them in a run game in
terms of pressure, also in the past game.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
So that's been exciting.
Speaker 6 (23:40):
Good.
Speaker 3 (23:41):
All right, I appreciate you guys. Thank you.
