Speaker 5 (02:02):
But I have definitely been checking out everything you're doing,
all of your musical adventures, and I am just so
excited and slightly obsessed, okay, fully obsessed with.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
You with You're very welcome with your new album, Reflection.

Speaker 5 (02:16):
So yes, can you tell us about this album and
the inspiration behind this one.

Speaker 4 (02:21):
So this album came around back in like the end
of twenty three into twenty four, and I was like,
what am I going to put on this album?

Speaker 3 (02:32):
I'm not really sure.

Speaker 4 (02:33):
And then I got to thinking about it and I
was like, oh, my gosh, my dad had written some
great songs back in the early to mid nineties that
when he was with his group Honeycreek, and they the
world had never heard them. They just got put back
on the shelf, and I was like, these songs made
who I am. I remember them so vividly. So I

(02:54):
got those out of moratorium and I was like, I've
got to put these, but I've got to bring them
up to date. So I was so excited to be
able to bring them to life. And then the title
track for the album. My aunt Dolly actually gave me
the title track and people are losing their minds over
it because it's such a brilliant song. And I love

(03:14):
different eras and different energies of music, so that's why
there's so.

Speaker 3 (03:18):
Many genres on this album.

Speaker 4 (03:20):
But it's really beautiful because it's all family written songs,
and a lot of them are from like the nineties
and back, like Radio Man is from the eighties. Yeah,
and then the three songs that I wrote with my
friend Jimmy are from twenty one, believe it or not.
So there's a lot of date on these that they've
all just kind of sat on the shelf and we're

(03:40):
just waiting for the right time. But so many of
these songs inspired who I Am as a singer as
an artist, so I was like, I'm just reflecting back
on my life. So I had to get those songs
out and that's what inspired the album and the title
of the album.

Speaker 5 (03:53):
I'm so glad you did, because these are just too
good to be lost somewhere, you know.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
What I mean, right, They're so fantastic.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
Absolutely, I'm like, this is perfect.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
And also you're doing you know, it's like it's a
tribute to your dad and all the incredible work and
also your aunt Dollie and your family, and it's about family.
And that's what I love so much about you and
what you stand for is everything is you know, family oriented.
And I just absolutely love reflections. Like you mentioned, this
is such an incredible, incredible song, and I love the

(04:23):
cover photo because it's literally your reflection.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
I just I love the whole basis behind it.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Thank you.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
We wanted to make it really simple, like it started
taking all the life of its own, and one of
the pictures that I had done before, I just wasn't
thrilled with the way it turned out. I thought it
was exactly what I wanted. I thought, and then we
just moved forward with something different. And then somebody brought
out that product called my Law I believe, and he
snapped the photo and I was like, this is perfect.

(04:51):
Like just that one simple reflection is exactly what it
needed and all this is fantastic.

Speaker 3 (04:58):
So it turned out really great. I'm very happy it.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
It's gorgeous. I'm telling thank you, it's gorgeous.

Speaker 5 (05:03):
And this album, I mean from the production, the music,
and of course your beautiful voice that we know in love,
it's absolute perfection.

Speaker 2 (05:09):
So where where was this album recorded? You're welcome.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
So we recorded this in severe Ville at a friend's studio.
Believe it or not, all thirteen songs. The tracks were
recorded in two days, wow, which is unheard of. And
then over the next year we were able to put
the vocals down and add the little tweets in there,
like the saxophone or a doe bro something like that.

Speaker 3 (05:32):
But the bass tracks were all recorded in two days.
Oh my goodness.

Speaker 2 (05:36):
You were working.

Speaker 4 (05:37):
Yes, we have not stopped. So when it finally came out,
we were also like, well, finally, were so excited. Take
it forever right.

Speaker 5 (05:45):
Right, It's like a weightlifted, and it's getting such great traction.
I mean, people are really loving and talking about it,
and you're doing so much press on it, so I
mean it's doing very well, and which I love that
for you. Let me just tell you, I'm so excited
for you.

Speaker 3 (05:58):
I appreciate it.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
You're well, you're welcome, and so it only took two
days for you, Well, that is just crazy. And all
of the songs you hit on it a little bit
about how it's like, you know, different genres. There's upbeat,
there's slow songs. There's really a bit for everyone. I
feel like, you know what I mean, Yeah, absolutely, which
I love. And also the music is just so relatable
as well, which is what I'm You're very well.

Speaker 3 (06:21):
Call story songs.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
Even if they're upbeat and funky, there they have some
love and story behind them. And if you just like
we're discussing now how I got them off of a
shelf because they had been there for thirty years.

Speaker 3 (06:32):
They all have a story to tell.

Speaker 4 (06:34):
And that just makes me really proud that I get
to tell not only my story, but my family story
through music and what makes.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
Us us absolutely absolutely and I swear believe you and
me could be like a wedding song, like the next
wedding song.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I told it gorgeous.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
It's gorgeous. I told my husband. I was like, can
we just like get married again just so we can.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Use it like that, cow, I love that. That's awesome.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Thank you, You're welcome. It's so good. And who's this
thinger that's on the track with you? I'm burning? Y'all
sound incredible?

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Isn't he amazing?

Speaker 4 (07:03):
So last year when we started my new show at Dollywood,
we have what you call an alternate or a swing,
just depending on what you prefer to call them. But
they brought in this young man named Jeremy and he
started singing a song and we all just kind of
turned and looked at him, like, what's it like to
be God's favorite?

Speaker 3 (07:24):
Man? You have the most beautiful voice I've ever heard.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
And when I started looking into that song, I was like,
who can I find that can sing this song that
has arranged but powered that maybe nobody's ever heard, but
is going to love. And I was like, oh my gosh,
I have to have Jeremy Reasoner. And I called him
and I was like, Hey, how would you feel about
doing this? He goes, man, I'd be honored. And he
came in and he had never been in the studio before.

(07:49):
If you can believe it, yes, So I lovingly say
he's the kinny to my Dolly because he's just so
brilliant and so talented, and I was like, man, I
cannot wait to do more stuff with you, but we're
going to have to start with this. But he works
at Dollywood as well, and he's just incredible, absolutely incredible.

Speaker 5 (08:05):
My goodness, he really is. Y'all sound incredible together. And
this is the show Heidi Partons Kin and Friends at Dollywood, right.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Yes, that's correct. We're over in the dream Song Theater
in the Dolly Parton Experience.

Speaker 5 (08:15):
I have to go over and check this one out
because I am so excited about this.

Speaker 2 (08:19):
How did this one come to be? And the title
Heidie Partons Ken and Friends.

Speaker 4 (08:24):
Well, my cousin Shelley's in the show with me as well,
but she's the only other family member besides myself. So
my friend Jimmy and I. He helped me write the
show and he's in the show and he wrote a
lot of the songs on the album.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
He's very he's a very beneficial.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
And important part of my life and my music. So
we started writing the show and he's like, what are
we going to call it? I was like, I don't
know what should we call this show? And he's like,
maybe Ken and Friends And I was like, well, vie
with that. Yeah, so it works for now, and it's
just been perfect and people love it because it's a
bunch of my friends and it's also my cousin Shelley
as well.

Speaker 3 (08:58):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (08:58):
We'll be coming down to check that out, and I
hope everybody else does too. If they're down there, please
go to Dollywood. I recommend it with the utmost. It's
just incredible. It's a lot of fun there. But also
I'm sure your hard copies are available there as well, right.

Speaker 4 (09:13):
They are, So I have some copies for myself in
the theater. I'm happy to sign them, or if you
are on the park, you can find them at the
fans shop at the corner of my theater or at
the emporium and you can bring them to me and
I will be happy to sign them there as well.

Speaker 2 (09:28):
Perfect. It's a win win, I'm telling you.

Speaker 5 (09:30):
And then, of course the album Reflections is also available
on all of your favorite you know, online outlets as well.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
The streaming services.

Speaker 5 (09:38):
Absolutely all the streaming services, and so everyone check it out.

Speaker 2 (09:41):
But I do love myself a hard copy, you know
what I mean, So.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
Definitely go, yes, go and check it out. Y'all and
definitely get it signed.

Speaker 2 (09:48):
That would be amazing. I absolutely am just so so excited.

Speaker 5 (09:52):
And then, of course, the last song on the album
is a duet between you and your aunt Dolly titled
The Gifts.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
So what was it like recording this one together?

Speaker 3 (10:00):
It's beautiful, Thank you very much.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
It was really great because you know how busy she stays.
So I went in and did my part and I
sent it to her just to see how she felt
about the song, and she messaged me and was like,
this is spectacular. I have to do this song with you.
I was like, yeah, you do, absolutely, so she recorded
her part and it just it gives me chills just

(10:23):
talking about it, because it's not just a song. It
is our family anthem, because I come from such a
long line of talented singers, songwriters, musicians, and storytellers, and
we of course she's written songs over the years, and
other family members have to. But I'm just I'm so
proud of the story that I was able to tell

(10:44):
through this song. And we actually close our show with
it and she appears on the screen behind me to
sing it with me. Oh yeah, I love it, And
it's such an incredible song. I'm just so proud of it,
and I'm just so honored that she was willing to
do it with me, and she loves it as much
as I do.

Speaker 2 (11:02):
What's not to love? It's such a beautiful song.

Speaker 5 (11:04):
And you know, of course everyone knows your aunt Dolly
and all of that, but if you take that away,
that part, it's beautiful that an aunt and a niece
are able to sing together about their family.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
That's what I think.

Speaker 5 (11:16):
Hit me so hard, and literally my mom and I
were just bawling because you guys are talking about the
people who influence your lives the most and have inspired you,
and it's just absolutely stunning. So I recommend everyone check
out this song, along with all of the songs on
this wonderful album Reflections, but that one really that got
the tears flow, and.

Speaker 2 (11:34):
I'm not gonna lie.

Speaker 3 (11:36):
Thank you. You're very welcome.

Speaker 5 (11:38):

wonderful album. Can you please give out your website and
all of your social networking links if you could?

so hard to create.

Speaker 3 (12:09):
And I'm so honored to be a part of this family.

Speaker 5 (12:11):
Absolutely absolutely, And you're doing incredible just you know, just
me and you.

Speaker 2 (12:15):
You're so unique. I love you.

Speaker 5 (12:17):
I just think you are just such an incredible person
first and foremost, and I think that's what's going to
really get you far. And is there any goals that
you really would love to achieve? Like, is there like
something that you would love to do that you haven't
had a chance yet?

Speaker 3 (12:31):
Not really, I'm just I'm honestly going with it.

Speaker 4 (12:33):
I mean, my dreams are slowly coming true and I'm
just kind of riding the wave. I'm open to whatever
God in the universe have for me. I'm just so
excited to be able to do what I love, not
only for my daily job, but I get to pursue
the dreams that I've always had and create music.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
That's really all it is.

Speaker 5 (12:51):
That's what it's about, honestly, honestly, And when I said
