Hello, thank you so much for having me.

Speaker 3 (02:02):
My pleasure, My pleasure. I'm so excited to talk to
you because I am a fan. Let me tell you so,
this is going to be a lot of fun because
I have had Father's House in my in repeat.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Thank you so much. I appreciate it. That was a
lot of fun to make for sure.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
I'm sure it is so good.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
So for those who have not heard it yet, can
you share the inspiration behind your newest release, Father's House?

Speaker 2 (02:26):
Tell us a little bit about it.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Yeah. Absolutely, So Father's House I felt like just kind
of came to me in my home studio. I have
a little home studio here in Los Angeles. Shortly I'll
be moving to Nashville, which I'm really excited about. But
this song just came from a place of like, I
don't know, I feel like my core pillar of my

(02:52):
relationship with Jesus is just being desperate for that piece
that he provides and that comfort and to the lyrics
of your running to the father's house because there's so
many things that I want to talk about and that
I have going on in my life right now and
that I need to figure out. Just felt very authentic
to me, and I hope that it encourages people to

(03:15):
have that heartfelt conversation with the Lord as well.

Speaker 3 (03:19):
Absolutely, And have you been receiving really good haws it
feedback from fans on this one?

Speaker 4 (03:26):
Yes, it's been so sweet. Just the other day there
was a mother and daughter who choreographed a dance to
the song. I love that and its just like lit
up my entire day that they would like make a
dance to it. Was so cute.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
That's amazing. I love that. That is so so sweet
and it is. It really is such a great song,
and I hope everyone checks it out. It's available on
all the streaming sites now, so please make sure wherever
you hear music, please go and check it out.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
You will not regret it.

Speaker 3 (03:54):
And I have to ask you because I am a
definitely a visual person.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
Any thoughts on like an official music video for this one?
Down the line?

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Oh my gosh, Yes, absolutely, I think there's a lyric
video that will be coming. But I had the opportunity
of shooting some visuals at this studio in Nashville called
dark Horse, and it's just a very There's lots of
land and greenery, but also just opportunities and places to
make music, and so it kind of honestly reminded me

(04:26):
of like what God's House could potentially be like, you know.
So that was a great place to shoot visuals and
I hope to shoot more.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
Yes, Yes, and your press photos is that where it's at?
Because you were on the stairs and also it looked
really cozy inside wherever you were.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Yes, exactly, it looks so cute. I loved it. That's amazing.

Speaker 3 (04:46):
And I have to ask, because so far the gospel
songs that you have released have been incredible. Are there
any talks maybe about like a full length gospel album
or an EP in the works?

Speaker 5 (04:56):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (04:57):
Absolutely. This upcoming fall, I'm hoping to release my first
pop gospel y Pee, and then moving to Nashville as well.
I'm super excited to collaborate with some of the same
producers that I've been working with more frequently. So definitely
full length probably next year.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
That is amazing. I can't wait. We will promote the
heck out of it. I promise you.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
That right now. Thank you, You're welcome.

Speaker 3 (05:22):
And are there any Christian artists out there today that
you would love to collaborate with or Christian songwriters?

Speaker 4 (05:28):
Yeah? I think there's a couple people that inspire me
a lot. Definitely Tory Kelly. I love her pop Christian
crossover stuff. And it's so exciting that she's becoming a
mom and starting a family.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Absolutely so exciting. I love her.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Oh my gosh, I'm so glad you said that, because
I would love for you too to do anything together,
like a show, do whatever.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
Oh just think that we need more like women pop
who are representing like elegance and class and just stewarding
like their beauty so well, you know, I contrasting to
the culture and like she just does such a great
job of that.

Speaker 3 (06:08):
So oh yes, absolutely. And I have to ask you
because you are an incredible song right. I know everyone's
writing process looks different, but what does that process look
like for you when you're ready to write a song?

Speaker 4 (06:22):
I think it definitely depends on who I'm in the
room with. Sure, I think the best songs are when
it comes from a place of worship and you get
a lot of sons and daughters of Jesus in the
same room and we're just all making music together to
him and then start to see like a theme arising

(06:44):
in like our melodies or in the instruments that we're playing.
That's kind of what happened with this new song I'm
going to be releasing on the EP called Good Plans.
But it was just very like effortless and just came
from that worship well place. So that's probably my favorite
way of writing. But then sometimes I'll go into a

(07:05):
session with a concept that I've been thinking about recently
and then kind of bringing that to the table and
filling and lyrics and melodies from there.

Speaker 3 (07:14):
Sure, Oh my gosh, that's amazing. You know, nothing more
powerful than being around you know, like minded people. And
it's such a great it's such a great song Father's House,
and I'm just so looking forward to as you mentioned,
you have a new one coming out, so we got
stay tuned for that. I'm so excited about that, And
I know people can check out. You're on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok.
Of course, your website is Maddie Jane dot com, so

(07:36):
you are over the place my friend I love it.
Oh perfect, so everyone please make sure you check her out.
And I wanted to talk about because your music journey
started as a younger on YouTube putting out jaw dropping covers,
I mean jaw dropping, like in, say, so, what kind
of advice would you give to young aspiring music artists
out there who have been inspired by your journey?

Speaker 6 (07:58):
Aw?

Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah, I mean there's been so many like pies and
loves that the Lord has brought me through. And I
think I first found my love for performing in musical
theater when I was about eight years old and I
was homeschooled, so that was like my core social community
as well. Yes, yes, And I think it started off

(08:22):
as something that like, you don't have to think about
supporting yourself with the love of music when you're like
eight years old, you know, which is great, But then
every person that's aspiring to be a musician does get
to that point in their life where they're like, Okay,
do I want to make this a way to support
myself or a hobby? You know? Do I want to
keep it in that pure space? And I feel like

(08:44):
that's only a question that can be answered by like
your relationship with the Lord, and I would not have
continued on in this and overcame and been so determined
if it weren't for that strength that he has assured
me of, Like, I have a purpose for you in this,
and I want you to keep going and serving me
and loving this musical community, regardless of if you feel

(09:08):
like you're winning or you're losing. Like you're always winning
because you're serving me and you're building my kingdom. And
I'm always winning because you know, I overcame the grave
and all of those things. Yes, And so I think
that I would just encourage young musicians to press into
their relationship with the Lord as far as their purpose
for this life, and our purpose first and foremost is

(09:32):
to like be loving Jesus, loving ourselves, loving the people
around us, and just believing that like if he calls
you to something, he is limitless, he can do it,
you know. Oh and so yeah, I would say, like,
work hard, dream big, be authentic and real in your

(09:53):
prayer life with Jesus, and you can accomplish so much more.

Speaker 2 (09:57):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (09:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Oh and then I love that well said I couldn't
decide it better myself.

Speaker 2 (10:02):
That was amazing.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
Oh.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
I think I think you know, many many kids out
there would love you know.

Speaker 2 (10:09):
Just hearing that from you, I'm sure is so helpful.

Speaker 3 (10:12):
And you know, I know everybody you know saw you
and fell in love with you when you were on
Season twenty five other the voice of course Team Chance.
So I let me ask, what was that experience like
for you?

Speaker 4 (10:23):
Mm hmmm. Yes, So that was like a year ago
now and I'm still like reflecting on it. But I
think the main thing that the Lord was speaking to
me during that time is just like he kind of
gave me like a pep and like a kick back
in my step because I transitioned from doing covers to
originals right before that, and that was a tougher transition

(10:48):
where I was really like, Okay, I know that the
most business y decision would be to keep doing covers,
like that's the most savvy decision is to keep doing covers.
But I really feel longing to not not only do
covers for for the rest of my life. I want
to discover what my real voice is, which eventually led

(11:10):
me to doing worship music because of like, I think
the most authentic artistic version of myself is to be
a worshiper, Like at the end of the day. But
that transition was tough, just from a standpoint of like
people were expecting this young girl doing covers and then
I'm presenting a whole different era of my life, an

(11:33):
older an older version of myself, a different artistic version
of myself. And that was tough. And I was honestly
like experiencing some doubts during that time, and like, Okay, Jesus,
if you really want me to stay in music and
not transition into something else, I need you to confirm
it for me. And there were hundreds of thousands of

(11:57):
people that had audition for this show, oh yeah, who
quite frankly, were more trained than me, like from a
technical standpoint, like they were extremely talented, extremely incredible and polished.
And I really think the reason the Lord took me
so far and that show was not because like I'm

(12:18):
more of technical prowess or gifting than anybody else. It
was just he was. He so graciously spoke to me
like I don't want you to quit. I want you
to keep going. I am so powerful, I can do anything.
I can do more than you ever imagined. And I
remember the night before going on that show, I was like, Lord,

(12:41):
I would really love to just get a couple moments
of screen time. I'm not expecting any chairs to turn
for me, but just a couple moments of screen time
would actually move my career forward so much. And I
felt like he told me you're going to get a
four chair turn. And I was like, that must have
been my mind. That was myself, that was not the Lord.
Like that's not happening. I'm going, you know, yeah, you're

(13:03):
done yourself bad. Yeah, it's myself.

Speaker 2 (13:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (13:06):
And then the next day I got a four cheer
return and here you go. It was like John Legend
and Reba McIntyre and like Dune and Shay and people
were standing up and I was just like I just
had like holy.

Speaker 2 (13:18):
Spirit chills, like goosebumps.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
He is like roaring, like he is so powerful, and
this is like a story that God has been walking
me through for the last fifteen years. Like he's seeing
all the disappointments, he's seen all of the rejection, and
like it was so healing to my heart in that moment,
and so I'm just really grateful that he did that.

Speaker 2 (13:40):
Yeh, that's what you needed.

Speaker 3 (13:42):
I think that's amazing how he was able to show
himself to you in that way and just to show you,
you know, music, you are making a big impact, and
you know there's so many people out there that can
look up to you and just love your music, and
you're doing what You're definitely doing what he wanted you
to do and keep on going. And like I said,
Father House is incredible. So everyone please make sure you

(14:02):
go and check that out available everywhere. And I have
some fun questions for you if you don't mind.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
Okay, yes, thank you.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yes, yes.

Speaker 3 (14:10):
So the first one is, so have you ever had
because listen, I know we are all human, any embarrassing
moments live during a performance, anything that didn't go as plant?

Speaker 4 (14:21):
Hmmm? Yes, I'm just trying to pick which one? See, yeah,
which one? Oh my gosh. I've had so many things happen.
I mean there's been moments in like bars in Los
Angeles where you know, the mic is too hot and

(14:45):
you can't hear the track because.

Speaker 5 (14:47):
My mic is just like sure larious the speakers, you know,
and then I kind of have to decide, like do
I want to sing into the mic or is it
better to just do acoustic at this point?

Speaker 4 (14:58):
Like that that happens too many to Times account. I
just tell myself. I'm like, okay, well this is a
venue problem. Yes, yeah, I need to do it. Then
my theater chops kick in and I'm like, well, let's
just project, you know, like let's just treat it like
a theater show like you know.

Speaker 6 (15:15):
I love it, yes, and oh yes, when I was
on the voice sometimes, especially if it's a larger stage,
I love to like bop around like I've got a
little hop, you know, I'm like jump in sure, and
my mic pack fell out.

Speaker 4 (15:31):
I jumped so high. My mic pack literally just came
out from under my shorts and it's just hanging there
on the ground yanking. It is yanking my in ears
out of my ears, and you know. And and then
it was for like the promotion of some movie or
something where they had a bunch of like stuffed animal

(15:53):
people bears so they couldn't see very well. They were
like dancing around on stage with heads on, you know.
So I'm trying to avoid the dancing bears and like
get to a place where I can reattach it. But
it was it was so funny looking back on it,
But yes, it was. It was. It was what it was,
and what are you gonna do? Nobody is gonna be

(16:14):
thinking like oh, in season twenty five, I remember when
that micpac came out. No, No, you just gotta embrace
it honestly.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Absolutely, and I love your spirit about it. You're just like,
it is what it is.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
We're just gonna go with it, honestly.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
The show must go on.

Speaker 2 (16:29):
The show always must go on. That is so funny.
I love it. I love it. And then another one.

Speaker 3 (16:35):
What is one vocal warm up that you have to
do that may sound crazy but works every time?

Speaker 4 (16:41):
Oh my goodness, there's also so many of those to
choose from. I don't even know. My friends make fun
of me so much. There's one that I do that's
like yeow yes yeahs, and it like helps make your
mixed voice like become a bit stronger and things like that. Yeah,
but my friend Nadaush from the Voice just thought it

(17:02):
sounded so ridiculous. She would always make fun of me
and just be like yeow yow. She would just like
pretend she was like this like sophisticated cat or something.

Speaker 2 (17:11):
That's so cute.

Speaker 4 (17:13):
Yeah. And then I also love like lip rolls, like
like those Yeah, I was I swear about those I
would say for any young singers, like, that's a good
starting point.

Speaker 2 (17:24):
Yeah, definitely, definitely, I love it. Vocal lessons with Maddie Jane,
Let's do it.

Speaker 4 (17:29):
I love it. I do cheach occasionally. I teach occasionally,
right right.

Speaker 3 (17:35):
And then the last, the last fun question that I
have for you before we go, what is a fun
fact about yourself that fans might not know.

Speaker 4 (17:43):
Yeah, I am a huge horse girl.

Speaker 2 (17:48):
Yes, I love that.

Speaker 4 (17:50):
Yes, I am a horse lover. I did Western riding
when I was young. I did much riding when I
was young. I did jumping. Yeah, so I love that,
and that's something that I'm hoping to incorporate into my
Nashville move. I'm like talking to my future husband. As
of tomorrow, he will be my husband.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
Congratulation, thank you.

Speaker 4 (18:14):
It's such a crazy time right now. But yeah, I
was talking to him. I was like, if we have
it in the budget, I would love to get back
into lessons. So hopefully I'll be, you know, back in
my horse girl era.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
Very Yes, absolutely do it. I love that.

Speaker 3 (18:31):
That is amazing and I'm so excited to see what
is next for you. And congratulations with everything that you
have going on. And one thing we do have, you know,
something that we do have in common. I am also
originally from Chicago and I'm now in Nashville.

Speaker 4 (18:43):
Though, Oh that's amazing. Oh my goodness, we have to
call on.

Speaker 2 (18:47):
That absolutely world.

Speaker 3 (18:50):
But thank you so much, Maddie, Jane, everybody, and it
was a pleasure talking to you.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for having
me
