And the VacDaddy is a prettyinteresting machine.
It doesn't fit your typicalcategory of vacuum systems, nor
(01:49):
of the battery-operated kind ofvacuums like the water tech
vacuums, because it does have acord and it does have more
gallons per minute.
So it is a pretty uniqueproduct.
I think they promote it morelike a vacuum system.
However, it uses a manual vacuumhead.
So if you have pools with heavydebris, it's not going to be as
(02:12):
effective as, say, like thebottom feeder or the riptide.
But it does fit that middlecategory.
You know, more powerful thanyour battery-operated cleaners,
and then not quite as robust asthe vacuum system as far as
debris pickup.
But it is a great way to replacethe manual vacuuming of a pool
(02:33):
with your traditional vacuumhead and hose.
And before I touch on thebattery, I'll just go over some
of the bundles available.
You have the basic bundle, whichincludes a lot of the
accessories, and that's about1600.
Then you have the probe bundle, comes with the uh the bag also,
the carrying bag.
It's about 1800, and you havethe deluxe bundle, which is
(02:56):
about 1870.
And these are all differentbundles.
You can go to their site,VacDaddy, thevacdaddy.com and
check it out.
Now the battery is a greataccessory, in my opinion.
There's been a lot of greataccessories of the VacDaddy, and
I'll touch on some of thoselater for you.
So the VacDaddy does need to beplugged into a socket to
(03:16):
operate, and it has a cord, andthis is what powers and gives it
that robust 55 gallons perminute power, which is a very
powerful vacuum, and the amountof suction is just almost like
if you had your manual vac headand hose connected to the
skimmer.
That's how powerful the VacDaddy is.
And so the fact you have to plugit in is a drawback at some
(03:40):
accounts where there may not bea plug somewhere by the pool
side.
A lot of homes have sockets andplugs over on the deck area, and
it's not been a real problem forthe Vac Daddy, but there are
those accounts where you justcan't find a plug that's
convenient, and you may not wantto plug it in 20 feet away from
(04:03):
the pool.
It makes it really hard tovacuum it.
You're short on your cord lengthfor the Vac Daddy, or you have
to bring an extension cord.
So the battery is a greataddition.
This battery is going to allowyou to use a Vac Daddy at full
power and make it extremelyportable.
(04:25):
It weighs about 15 pounds and ittakes about three hours to fully
charge.
And it'll give you about twohours of runtime on a full
charge.
And it's a terranary lithiumbattery, so this is something
that's going to give you a longlife cycle of the battery and
also make it a safer type oflithium-ion battery.
(04:48):
And I really think that thebattery will take the BacDaddy
to the next level for those poolpros that are looking for
something that you don't reallyneed to, you know, plug in at
every account.
The nice thing about the batteryis that you don't need to have
that power unit, the converterthat you bring back there to
plug in.
And so it's almost apples forapples because you you don't
(05:12):
have to bring the converterback.
Actually, they're called thetransformers, I should say.
Now there's two differenttransformers, just so you know.
There's a standard one that'syou know that doesn't have the
um you can't modulate the powerof the Vacaddy, and then there's
the one that you can.
So there's two differenttransformers, and they're fairly
(05:34):
heavy.
I mean, so it's kind of like ifyou don't take the transformer
back and you take the batteryback, it's very similar in
weight distribution.
So I would say the battery isgoing to be something that a lot
of people will gravitate towardsbecause then the Vac Daddy is
much more portable.
(06:09):
There's no need to plug it intoa socket, you can go anywhere
with it, and it just makes itmuch more versatile.
And of course, the the batteryis going to kind of make it a
little more similar to thevacuum systems where you don't
need to plug it in, and it's oneof those things where it really
frees you to use this devicejust about anywhere you need to
(06:33):
use it without having to worryabout bringing extension cords
or looking for a socket orsearching customers' backyards.
You simply go there, put thebattery on the deck, plug in the
VacDaddy, and then vacuum thepool.
So it's a great upgrade to theconvenience factor, and it takes
the Vac Daddy again into acategory more like the vacuum
systems now, even though it'sreally different than the vacuum
(06:56):
systems.
The battery does come with astrap, so you can take it back
there.
And I mentioned to them thatthis is a good time to maybe
make a cart for the Vac Daddy, because then now you have all of
these, you have all theseaccessories, and then you could
have a cart also for the VacDaddy itself.
So there's a lot of you knowoptions now for the Vac Daddy.
(07:19):
If they had a small little cart, you could put the battery there
and put the Vac Daddy on thecart, and I think that would be
a great way to transporteverything back to a stop.
So that's probably in the worksfor the future.
Don't quote me on this, but Igave them the idea that a cart
would be kind of the nextevolution of the Vac Daddy.
I think they're gonna call thisproduct the Bat Daddy, which is
(07:40):
kind of like a play on wordsbattery, daddy, Vac Daddy.
And I definitely think that whenit comes out, again, it's gonna
be released, I believe, inJanuary.
You may probably should havementioned that earlier, that
it's not quite out yet, but itis coming out in January of
2026, and you would want to pickthat up.
One of the great things aboutthe Vac Daddy, which I think
(08:01):
this battery is also gonna comeinto play, is for cleanups, you
know, cleaning up a pool that'sbeen hit by a windstorm, or
maybe a green pool cleanup afterall the stuff settles on the
bottom, because it does havethat 55 gallons per minute, then
you would just get the bag thatyou would put in there so that
you're not the uh leaf bag, andthat way you're not gonna clog
(08:24):
up the impeller, and then youwould be able to vacuum the
waste with the vacuum to wasteadapter, the V2W adapter.
So basically how the Vac Daddyworks is that on the back of the
Vac Daddy, or actually on thetop of the Vac Daddy vacuum,
there's a discharge, and you'llvacuum the pool in regular mode,
(08:44):
everything will be trapped inthe bags inside the Vac Daddy,
and then the water will bedischarged back to the pool out
of the top of the of the VacDaddy, and that's fine because
the bags pick up dirt anddebris, and then the clean water
goes back into the pool.
But one thing that's really niceabout it, you could take that
standard discharge off of thetop of the Vac Daddy.
(09:07):
It takes about three minutes tomake this whole transfer, you
know, to get the vacuum to wasteadapter on the back.
And then with the vacuum towaste adapter on the back of the
Vac Daddy, you would connect aregular 50-foot pool hose to it,
and then put it somewhere on adeck where it's gonna drain into
a drain or something, or intothe sewer, and then you would
(09:29):
simply plug the Vac Daddy in toa socket or to the battery, and
you can vacuum the pool towaste, much like a portable pump
or portable filtration system, and it's great, it works so good
that you're going to it's goingit really cuts into the category
of the waste pumps and theportable filtration systems
(09:50):
because of the vacuum to wastemode.
Now I told you it doesn't fitany real category because it is
a pretty unique product, so youcan use it, of course, like a
manual vacuum.
All the dirt and debris getstrapped in the bag in the Vac
Daddy, it doesn't go back intothe filtration system, and you
vacuum it very similar to amanual vacuum with a hose
(10:11):
attached to the skimmer, andagain, it has much more power
than the battery-operated onesthat are very similar to it in
design.
And it also has the vacuum thewaste ability, so it kind of
fits into that category of aportable pump or portable waste
pump.
And with addition and with theaddition of the Bat Daddy, it
(10:31):
makes it much like the vacuumsystems where you don't need you
know any kind of power from thecustomer's property to operate
it or use the customer's system,uh, pool system or filtration
system to operate the machine.
So, again, it's really a uniquedevice where you can't compare
it to the bottom feeder, really,I don't think, or the riptide,
(10:55):
or you can't compare it to thewater tech precision two point
or version 10, I should say, because it is a unique pool
tool.
And with the vacuum to wasteadapter, again, it's makes this
very versatile.
There's also a shallow wateradapter.
This is pretty interesting.
The shallow water adapter allowsyou to kind of use the Vac Daddy
(11:16):
in fountains and in waterfeatures by setting the Vac
Daddy into the water featureitself, and then attaching this
to the front of it with a smallvacuum hose, maybe like a
10-foot or 15-foot vacuum hoseon the front.
So you put the shallow wateradapter on the front of it, you
attach the vacuum hose to it,and then you attach it to the
(11:37):
manual vacuum head, and then youcan vacuum the pool out in
really shallow water because theway the vacaddy is designed with
the discharge on back, it has tobe submerged in water to operate
correctly.
So with the shallow wateradapter, you can actually set
the Vac Daddy into the body ofwater, the word submerged, and
then you could use that tovacuum out a fountain or a pond.
(11:59):
So it's really convenient tohave this as well with a shallow
water adapter.
Because a lot of the again, small battery-powered vacuums
don't really work in waterthat's really shallow because of
the discharge being near the topor the middle of the cleaner.
So another great addition is theshallow water adapter, and
again, making this a veryversatile machine.
(12:20):
Now you can do you know waterfeatures and fountains on your
pool route using the Vac Daddy, and it eliminates another
category of devices you need tocarry, which are the smaller
battery-operated cleaners forthat, or bringing your manual
vacuum back there, connecting itto a portable pump, and then
trying to you know filter outthat pond or water feature.
(12:42):
The Vac Daddy, of course, is amuch more convenient thing to
bring there versus a portablefiltration system with the
filter and pump attached to it.
So, of course, now the questionis who is the Vac Daddy made
for?
Well, originally it was promotedas a way to replace manual
vacuuming of a pool.
(13:03):
So it's great for employees.
You know, a lot of timesemployees will try to vacuum a
pool, and sometimes you havepump issues, priming issues, you
have to you know overthinkthings sometimes.
So if you have employees and youwant to give them a VAC daddy to
vacuum the pools on the route,it makes things a lot easier for
them and it takes a lot of theother things, other factors out
(13:25):
of the equation about using thecustomer's filtration system.
And so for that it's great.
For also those pools where thefiltration system is pretty weak
and you can't really manualvacuum the pool and you need to
manual vacuum it, this is agreat addition as well.
Of course, for pool pros lookingfor a cleanup pump or way to
(13:45):
vacuum the waste, the Vac Daddydefinitely fits that category
because of the vacuum the wasteadapter.
Also, I mentioned the shallowwater adapter also for water
features, it's a great additionas well.
And you may be wondering, youknow, how the bags work as far
as picking up debris and dirt, you know, is it something that's
(14:07):
just like manual vacuuming inthe pool or will pick up all the
fine dirt in the pool?
So, since it does use bagsinside, and this is one reason
why it's compared to the vacuumsystems a lot, the felt bag will
pick up 75 microns, which isvery similar to the vacuum
system bags out there, and thenyou have other bags that will
pick up about 200 microns.
(14:29):
So, again, it's for debris andthe very fine dirt.
If pools with a lot of dirt init, you want to use the vacuum
in the waste adapter.
And for most pools, 75 micronsis sufficient.
If you're using a vacuum systemright now in your pool, you're
looking for something that ismore versatile.
The fact that he, of course, will fit that category.
But again, it does use thosebags in there, so it is not
(14:51):
going to pick up all the dirtand debris.
I think in the future, one thingthat they could come out with is
like a filter bag or somethingthat looks more pleated, like a
cartridge filter, and thatprobably will pick up more dirt
than the current bags that theyhave for the Vac Daddy.
It's not a perfect product, butit is a very versatile product,
(15:13):
and so I think that's where itdoes have its market share.
The versatility of the Vac Daddywith the battery now, and the
fact that it does so manydifferent things that it does
fit into your pool routesomewhere in a lot of cases.
A lot of people have the VacDaddy, they have a vacuum
system, they have the smallbattery operated cleaners, and
(15:34):
it's just another professionaltool that you can add to your
pool service arsenal.
