I had a big pleasure to visit Zahra Jahanyfard's studio in Frisco, TX to record this episode of the podcast. She was born in Iran and moved to the U.S. in 2007, when her husband got a job in Lexington, Mo. She could not speak English however, she was able to connect to the local community through painting and her art work. Her goal is to establish an art residency program between Iran and the U.S., allowing artists from both countries to travel and make connections with people, countries, culture and art.
