If you’ve ever thought I want to build wealth, but I’m not sure where to start.

You’re not alone.

Good news!

You don’t need to read 100 finance books.

You just need the right ones.

In this week’s lesson, I’m sharing 5 powerful books that’ll help you build wealth and maximize your earning power.

These aren’t just theory-packed reads.

They are the exact books I’d recommend if you asked me, “What should I read to take control of my finances and income?”

I run over a great book I think anyone and everyone should read to understand general investment strategy.

I hit a (very) surprisingly entertaining (and hugely helpful) guide that breaks down investing in its simplest form.

Of course, you know me. I love mindset and psychology, so I tossed in a couple that separate spenders from wealth builders.

And, now list regarding wealth-building would be complete if I didn’t toss in the #1 book, IMHO, that’ll help you improve your professional skills.

Your skills directly affect your salary and income and overall earning potential. Amiright?!?!?

These books are for professionals who want to put together an investment strategy, make smarter financial decisions, and grow their income with purpose.

And, don’t worry, you don’t need to be a finance geek to understand these.

You just need to be willing to invest a few hours to change your future.

Let’s make money make sense so you can grow it!

(00:00):
I want to talk about some books I would recommend. Now, I've read uh conservatively a few hundred
different books on investment strategies, think and grow rich all the way to everything you can
imagine. And I have more books that I'm would love to read. But I want to I want if I if you

(00:21):
pressed me for what would be like the three or four books if Annie look I hate I hate money.
uh I don't like it but I I need to understand the basics. Here's what I would do. First thing
is there is this guide that came out a long while ago called the only investment guide you'll ever

(00:42):
need by Andrew Tobias. Now what I love about this is this one in particular it's got you can see I
you've got all kinds of notes on this. It is a wonderful uh dictionary and vocabulary for what
is is is out there and available to you. Now, it was written many years ago and it's been it's been

(01:06):
since um revised. I think it came out I don't know long a long while ago, but it's been revised many
times. Grab a recent edition. Cara um Cara can put the link uh to this book from Amazon. I by
the way I get no these are no referrals. These are not I don't get paid for any of this. I'm
just sharing with you. This would be the first book that I'd read. The second book that I would

(01:31):
read is and interestingly, a simple path to wealth, JL Collins, Uncle Jim. Now, this is
the paperback version, probably his 2016 version. And if I had to guess, he probably self-published
this. That would be my guess. And it's awesome. And it is it is literally if I was 22 years old,

(01:58):
this is probably what I would do for the rest of my life. And he explains to you very simply by
investing in one Vanguard mutual fund how you'll be totally covered. It is an awesome book. He's
quick, sharp, witty, sarcastic, funny. It's it's a fant it's easy to read. It's easy to understand.

(02:19):
And the word simple is it's true. And the reason I'm I'm I'm chuckling is because for some
unforesaken reason he felt compelled to republish this book and he used like a platform with Atomic
Habits Guide Clear, whatever his name is. And and and basically now there's a new p there's a
new hard coverver of this, but I bought the $10 paperback and I absolutely absolutely love it.

(02:46):
So while this will give you the vocabulary in mass, this will give you the simplest strategy
even though he does help with the vocabulary. Then what I would say is and this book is sentimental.
I read it when it came out when I was 30 years old, The Millionaire Next Door. This book is

(03:07):
a mindset book about how to become a predigious accumulator of wealth. everything from strategy
and the way you think about it to what kind of car do cars do millionaires drive back in 1996. This
is an updated version. I've had many versions. I've given away the book so many times I needed
to get another one to show you, but I I love it. But the other one that I would say that probably

(03:33):
is my contemporary favorite favorite book on on on money psychology is literally literally in
the title psychology of money. So these two books uh from from a from a psychological perspective,
this trio or quadruple or quad of books from an investment strategy, understanding the market,

(03:58):
that's all you need to read. Honestly, if you never read another book on money, read those. And
then I do speak in a books. Uh, I I had no doubt I have no shame plugging my own book because from
a skill building perspective, you need to have the right skills. Your We just got done talking about

(04:19):
personal wealth and accumulation of wealth, but your coaching thousands and thousands of people,
the one thing that I can tell you is that your skill sets will greatly affect your
income and your ability to earn. And so, and for those of you that already have the Zebra code,
I would love it if you put a review on Amazon. I I rarely ask for those. And I know that if

(04:42):
you've enjoyed it or or however you felt about it, please go do that. And if you're interested
in grabbing the book, Cara can drop the Amazon link for this guy as well. Uh, this is my career
skill building booklet. It has my career success methodology, how to put the career plan together,
the way I would approach skill building, and how it will affect your earning power. And anybody

(05:06):
who's in my leadership coaching program has all of the video assets that go along with with this
book. So, so from a book's perspective, that's those are some of my absolute favorites. And the
Zebra book will will truly help you build the skills that will increase your earning power as
