(00:00):
Welcome back to the Yoga TeacherTraining Podcast.
My name is Jeremy Devons and today I am joined by Diana
Hernandez who is an actor, TV host, content creator and she
has a huge Instagram following. I met her through a friend here
in Mexico and she was visiting town and going to different
hotels where she gets these amazing brand deals.
(00:22):
And she's going to talk about her marketing, her business and
how she's grown her online following over 400,000 followers
now on Instagram with a large engagement rates.
So it's not just like a bunch ofpeople who are just on the the
list of numbers, but like peopleare actually engaging with the
content and allowing Diana to have a successful online
(00:43):
business traveling the world. So welcome Diana.
Great to have you here. Thank you so much Jeremy, for
having me. I'm so excited.
Great. So the first thing I want to ask
is just like, how did you come up with this idea of creating
this free master class on teaching influencers to make
money online and kind of do whatyou've been?
(01:06):
Well, first of all, I never thought I was going to be
teaching people how to create content and how to be able to
make money on Facebook and on Instagram.
But a lot of my friends and followers keep asking me like.
How do I get brand deals? How do I get pay on social
media? How do I get to stay in free
like the best hotels around the world with food and activities
(01:31):
included? So after four years of helping
people for free like especially my friends and family, I decided
to do an online course where. I can put all these all my
teachings together. Some people can benefit from
that beautiful. And what inspired you to make
(01:54):
this specifically for influencers?
Well, I feel like I've always followed my dreams, no matter
how crazy they are, and I know many people out there that they
are so afraid to do what they really love so.
With my master class, I hope to inspire people to do what they
(02:15):
love and to make a living out ofit.
And that's kind of the journey you've been on to, right?
And creating your own business through Instagram, even though
you were like, on TV and doing all these amazing interviews
with all these amazing people. But you really ended up growing
your own thing on social media, right?
(02:36):
That's kind of you want to sharea little bit about like your
journey of like creating that. Yeah, sure.
Well, I am an actor and a TV host.
That's how I started growing my Facebook, which is almost
1,000,000 followers right now. And then my Instagram, which is
almost four, it is 400 K by now.So it was a little scary at the
(02:57):
beginning because when Pandemic happened, I lost my job as a TV
host and that was my main income.
And after that, I decided to just do social media, and it was
kind of scary because I didn't have any other paycheck to get.
But at the end I managed to to to do it.
(03:18):
And I'm really, really happy that I did, because right now
I'm independent. I am my own boss, I have my own
hours, my own schedule of hours, and I have the liberty to say
yes and no to the brands that I want to work with.
And I'm also very creative so I can create my own content.
And I don't have anybody to tellme not to wear that.
(03:42):
Yes, wear this. So it's very is a I just love to
be independent then. And I love the freedom that this
new opportunity, this new business that I created, is
giving me because I've always wanted to travel the world and
having a business that allows meto make money from anywhere in
the world. Helps me to travel as well.
(04:05):
Yeah. And a lot of the audience
listening are yoga teachers and people like interested in doing
something like that and like traveling the world and just
doing work you love and being your own boss and all this.
And what are you? What are some of the common
challenges that you've seen likefor yourself, or at least the
other people on this kind of path facing?
(04:28):
Well. I actually interview like 50
people before I created my course, and the first thing
people usually skip is defining their niche.
And without defining your niche, your content is going to be
confusing for you and it's also going to be confusing for your
audience. So the first thing that I would
(04:49):
say is position yourself. The niche and do.
And that niche has to be something that you love,
something that you can do every single day without complaining,
without being tired. Otherwise it's not going to
work. For instance, you are a yoga
teacher. You love to do yoga.
(05:11):
So I think if you want to make it, if you want to start making
money, I know you make money online already, but if you want
to make money, let's say with your yoga content, you could.
Start creating content related to yoga.
How do you teach yoga? Some positions, I don't know,
position sounds weird, but some posters, so that would be for
you. That would be your niche, right?
(05:34):
Right, Right. And that's like one of the
things you teach in your master class.
Like, what are some of the otherthings that you teach in the
master class? I teach them how to find their
niche, which is the number one thing.
Had your land brand deals the importance of having a media
kit. People don't really know what a
(05:54):
media kit is so I can explain quickly.
A media kit is a document where you have your pictures, videos
and links and how many followersyou have on each social, on each
social media and past. Works or jobs that you have
done. So it's very important to have a
media kid. So I explain on my master class
(06:16):
the importance and how to createone, how to collaborate with
influencers. It's very important to
collaborate to have a community so you can like kind of like
what we're doing right now. You know, it's kind of like
collaboration that's going to help me and help you.
I also teach them that it's never too late to start a full
time income on social media, right?
(06:40):
Yeah. And that sort of perspective you
have from the background in television and media and film
and all that is it's, you know, a lot of yoga teachers don't
really think about this in the same way necessarily of like how
many Instagram followers you have or like making the brand
kit or things like this. So it's helpful.
I think what you're offering in this master class could really
(07:03):
offer a different perspective onlike how to approach social
media marketing and stuff like this that yoga teachers might
not be thinking about now. So it sounds pretty awesome.
No. Yeah, that's true.
A lot of people don't think about followers are important.
I was one of those people when Ifirst started working as a TV
host. They forced me to open social
(07:23):
media and I hated it because I had a lot of work as a TV host.
I have to create my own piece, my own report edit.
Go to press carpets, go to premieres, go to press junkets.
It was a lot of work like my job, entitled, like a lot of it
was very demanding and it was like a 1617 hours a day job.
(07:44):
And thank, I now thank the TV station that forced me to do
that because if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here where I
am right now. And if you are doing an online
business, of course it's very important to have.
I mean, it's not like the the quantity of your followers, but
mostly the engagement. You can have 100 powers, 200
(08:07):
followers, 1000 powers. But if they are engaged with
you, you can make a beautiful community out of it and make
money out of it too. Yeah.
And what are some of the misconceptions people have about
being able to be an influencer or grow their Instagram and
like, making money online? That the means that you need
(08:31):
millions of followers to make a full time income on Instagram
and Facebook. I don't have millions of
followers. I didn't start with millions of
followers. I started with 2003 thousand
10,000. Then I drove my way up.
But even when I was like 10, 2K,10K I was making some money.
(08:55):
I wasn't making millions, but I was making some money.
So that's one of the misconceptions.
You don't need like mediums powers to to make an income like
a full time income and also the belief that social media is a
waste of time. I I believe I use it for
learning purposes and making a limit out of it is very worth
(09:20):
it. So it depends how do you use
social media so you don't need the expensive equipment also to
start your. Your channel or your outlet or
your Instagram account. You can start with your phone
and believe it or not, I still use my iPhone 14 to record all
my videos. I do have a great like like a
(09:43):
microphone. I have great editing programs,
but I still record everything with my cell phone.
Yeah, and you have a great YouTube channel as well.
High quality videos looks reallygreat, Looks professional.
But it's all just iPhone, right?Yes, yes, thank you.
(10:05):
It's all iPhone and I've been wanting to, I mean I do have a
camera and I never use it because it's too heavy.
So yeah, that it is my sound badfor some of you guys, but I like
to be simple and I'm always like.
Rushing, rushing, rushing everywhere.
(10:27):
So for me, my Gimball, my cell phone and my microphone is the
perfect gear to create content in YouTube.
And I'm proud of that right now.Yeah, I mean, it looks really
great. What's your Instagram?
People can check it out if they are listening right now.
What's your Instagram again? My Instagram is Diana A
(10:52):
Hernandez, but I have to spell it because it is confusing my
name. American people call me Diana,
but it's Diana, so it's D as in David.
I as in India. A as in Apple.
N as in Nancy. A as in Apple.
Another A as in Apple. And my last name is Hernandez
with an H&Z as the N so. Yeah, it's a little confusing.
(11:18):
I don't know if you're gonna have a link or something on your
podcast. People can find me, yes, I have
a link in the show notes, but I recommend people check it out
and just see like the quality ofvideo she's making and it's it's
just with the iPhone. And do you use like a special
editing app or something too? I my I at the beginning I didn't
(11:41):
have an editor, so I started with iMovie.
Then I change to final card and now I'm using Da Vinci Resolve.
I movie to start with is very good, but it's very limited.
You don't have a lot of options there.
Then final card you have to pay and it's very confusing.
(12:04):
And now I'm using Da Vinci Resolve which is free.
You have two versions. You have the.
The free version and the pain version, but they're both very
similar. You can do a lot on both and I'm
using the free version and I love it.
Davinci Resolve is an amazing program.
So and also I record all my videos on 4K, so it's good
(12:27):
quality. Yeah, awesome.
And then inside of the you have this course that you created as
well. You've been putting a lot of
time and energy into this for the last several months.
And so the master class is sort of like the high level and all
the main stuff to like learn howto really start to make more of
(12:50):
an income and the life online and be able to travel the world.
But then what do you teach inside of the course?
Yeah, you are totally right. The master class is like a is a
free master class where I teach people the six steps.
On how to make $10,000 a month. And if you follow these steps
(13:12):
you will reach that. But of course there's a lot more
to those six steps. So on my master class I teach
those the beginning of these sixsteps, but on my course I teach
everything that entiles that follows that master class.
So it's great that you take the free master class, and I do have
(13:34):
a lot of previous besides that one.
But if after taking the master class you feel that this is for
you, you can buy my course. And in my course I teach
mindset. That's the first module.
Because if you don't have the belief that you're going to make
it, or if you don't believe in yourself, that's not going to
happen. On module 2 I teach how to be
(13:56):
confident in front of the camera.
Which is one of the main things that I learned.
Being an actor and ATV host, if you are not confident in front
of the camera, your audience is going to notice that and that's
why you are going to transmit tothem.
Storytelling is very important. I think the way you engage with
(14:17):
people is with a great storytelling and if you don't
know how to tell the story. Then your content is going to
suffer, and storytelling is not something that you're going to
learn in one day. Also, be confident in front of
the camera is not something thatyou're going to learn in one
day. So I teach you in my course how
to practice every single day in front of the camera so you get
(14:40):
better. And I also teach you from the
beginning how to create a story with the beginning, middle and
end so you can engage with people and people who just stay
glued to your camera. Another thing is that I teach
you how to record yourself, how to create a studio at home
without spending thousands of dollars on module 3.
(15:01):
That's the best one, because that's where I teach everything
about monetization. This is like the number one
module that everyone wants to go, and you can start with that
module if you want to, but it's very important to follow #1 and
#2. So here I teach you how to get
the brand deals. I share my e-mail templates.
(15:24):
This e-mail template, I bought it like I I actually bought this
e-mail template, but it has likea lot of changes because I
bought it like maybe five years ago.
So you're going to be using my SIM templates on module #4 is
like different revenue streams. Like this is not my only source
(15:45):
of income, you know, like I do make.
Others over income like selling jewelry online.
So I teach a little bit of that on module 6 is all about
technology, like how to edit on Premiere.
On Final Cut, Da Vinci Cop Cut Light Room on Module 7.
I interviewed like successful content creators.
(16:07):
But the best part is like when you buy my course.
Like if you buy right now after listening to these podcasts.
I have amazing bonuses and the number one bonus that is $1000
is for free of course is that I will connect you with brand
deals like with brands right away.
So if you feel like you have maybe 2000 followers or even
(16:31):
1000 followers, I will give you this contact sheet of all the
brands that I've worked in the past and you can e-mail them
right away and send them your. Instagram link, your YouTube
link, your TikTok link and starttalking to them.
So since I'm giving you the PR contact of this brand and you
(16:56):
already have taking my course, you probably already have your
media kit and plays your pictures and you're ready to go.
This is an amazing access to have because it took me years,
years, years. Creating these PR lists, it's
really hard to find the right contacts to give you a brand
(17:20):
deal. Wow, that is really cool.
You provide that, and that is really valuable because I
imagine a lot of those people are hard to find, hard to reach,
hard to know who to talk to, andyou actually have those
relationships so you're able to connect them right away.
It's pretty cool. Yeah.
And they will be happy to have more influencers and believe it
(17:43):
or not, you like I said before, you don't need millions of
followers nowadays like a micro and nano influencer have better
engagement than myself and that's just the way it is.
That's just the algorithm works, you know.
So a lot of these brands will beextremely happy to have a nano
(18:04):
and micro influencer because they know their potential, they
know. That they have more engagement
than my own accounts, right? Yeah, that's really key for
people thinking about social media.
It's like not just your followeraccount, but the engagement is
more important, right? Totally, yeah.
(18:27):
So that's probably one of the common mistakes people make is
thinking it's all about more followers, More followers.
What are some of the other common mistakes that people
make? I think you need to be
authentic. You can watch other videos and
get ideas from all the other influencers and content creators
and other businesses. But always be authentic.
(18:49):
Be yourself. Also be consistent.
If you started posting today, then post tomorrow or post every
two days. Don't.
Just post today and then post after a month because you would
lose followers. Or, if you're not posting
frequently on your fee, at leasttwo stories, like when I first
(19:13):
started, I was posting every single day.
When I first started, stories were not there, so I was posting
on my feet every single day and now I post less on my feet.
But every day I post a story andthe best thing to do is like, if
you have freebies or you're teaching something, that's
(19:35):
great. Also, don't ignore engagement.
Always engage with your followers.
Answer the message the the comments.
Go to their pages, light their pages.
Also try to learn how to read the analytics.
It's very simple. If you post something today and
(19:56):
then you post something tomorrow, just compare both of
them and see which one does better and whatever does better
for you. Continue doing that.
Also collaborations, you know, like if you want to collaborate
with somebody, be prepared. You know because if you're not
(20:16):
prepared, you're wasting your time and the other person's
time. So and also some brand deals,
not every brand deal is good foryou.
So I will say that try to be be careful with it because I know
it's very tentative, like like very tentative because they say
(20:38):
okay, we're going to pay you right now, Liana, $10,000 and
just promote this item. But this specific item is not
part of my lifestyle. It's not part of what I promote.
So it doesn't make any sense to promote it because my fathers
are going to be like, well, thisis weird, she never talked about
(20:58):
this before. So I try not to just take any
brand deals just because I need the money.
And I know at the beginning it'sgoing to be very attentive and
I'm sure I did it at the beginning.
I remembered like I took few brand deals that they have
nothing to do with me and that really hurt my engagement and my
(21:20):
followers because some of them left and then they're not gonna
believe in me. Right, right.
It's important to be authentic and remote.
Things that you use and you value and you really stand
behind. Definitely.
And then if you want to, if somebody listening to me was
(21:44):
like wanting to make a course too, cuz I know a lot of
teachers think about that, of making online courses, is that
something you teach as well? Well, I do teach the different
revenue streams that you can do,but I don't teach how to create
(22:05):
your online course. So don't get confused.
I don't teach people how to create their online course.
In fact, I paid $5000 to somebody else to guide me in the
creation process because I had all the ideas in my head, all
the information, but I didn't know they want to. 345 steps.
(22:27):
But I do teach how to create different revenue streams.
Maybe create your online store, affiliated programs, third
parties on on Facebook. You can make different revenue
streams to video licensing or bonus reels.
(22:50):
There's stuff. But I'm still making money with
the ads, so every time I post a reel I can make some money with
the ads and that's the short content.
You can make also money with thelong content videos on Facebook
and the same with YouTube. So I do teach different revenue
(23:11):
streams, but know how to create your online course.
OK, yeah, cool. And do you have any tips for how
influencers can effectively collaborate with brands?
You mentioned collaboration quite a bit.
So like if somebody is thinking about collaborating with
somebody like how do they approach that?
(23:31):
Well, this is what I will do andthis is what I have been doing
in the past. The first tip is to have a
niche, which we already talked about it and having a niche is
the number one thing. If you don't have a niche, it's
very hard for you to find influencers on your same field
that you can collaborate with orbrands.
(23:52):
The 2nd is to have your media key in place because that makes
you look professional and you stand out from the rest.
And brands will appreciate more a content creator that comes out
with a social media with a mediakit because all your information
is right there in one place. So I think those two tips are
(24:13):
good to have in mind. Yeah.
And then what are some strategies that you teach
influencers to create sponsored content that resonates with
their audience? Well, to be honest, besides
teaching them how to record it and edit.
I always tell them to be authentic, which we already talk
(24:33):
about it. Be real, be authentic, be on it,
be honest and be themselves. If they're not themselves, the
audience can perceive that on camera, and that's not good, You
know, you don't want to anyway. You don't want to copy anybody
else. You want to be authentic.
So let's say if you are a very shy person, embrace that and
(24:57):
tell your audience that, like English is not my first
language. And I do make a lot of grammar
mistakes when I write, when I talk, but I embrace it.
I always say, you know what? I'm sorry, I don't know how to
say this word in English. Can you please help me or put a
title, a comment over there and tell me what's the name of this
(25:19):
word or I'm sorry about my accent.
If you don't understand something, just put caption so I
know that it's not a problem. It's not an issue.
I don't see it like that. What is something that happens
to me and I don't feel bad aboutit.
I just embrace it. So if you're shy, embrace that,
you know? Yeah.
(25:39):
Yeah, authenticity I think is super important, especially in
yoga teachers and yoga students.Like people can feel that if
somebody's being authentic or not, and especially with
marketing and messaging and stuff like this.
So how do you suggest people like find that balance of being
authentic, but also if they're? Wanting to make money online and
(26:01):
they think maybe they need to besomething different to sell
something or to partner with somebody.
Like how do you balance those two things out?
Well, the first one is also module #2, because I teach you
how to be confident in front of the camera.
So once you start practice, likepractice, practice, practice,
(26:24):
you have to practice to be in front of the camera.
Then you're gonna be yourself. You're gonna find how you are in
front of the camera. After that, you have to be
creative and you have to be unique.
If you're not, created and unique, brands are going to
notice that so many times. Like, this is the beauty about
being a content creator, that you don't have a brand for a
(26:47):
boss that tells you what to do. They let you be creative.
They give you some tips on how to create your video or how to
edit or what kind of music they want you to put in your video.
But it's only ideas, suggestions.
So you have kind of like the path to go, but everything else
(27:08):
comes from your brain, from yourideas.
So if you are not a creative person, if you don't want to be
yourself, and if you don't want to be unique, maybe social media
content creation is not for you.But if you're willing to put up
the work and practice, practice, practice, you will make it just
(27:31):
the same way I did it. Yeah, yeah, that's beautiful.
And like, how do you suggest like say somebody partners with
a sponsor, they connect with somebody because as a yoga
teacher I get a lot of these Dmsfrom like.
And a lot of them about, I'd saymost of them are like sketchy,
(27:54):
like I don't know who this person is.
This looks like they have a bunch of just fake followers or
something. But if there are like genuine
ones and you get real connections and real sponsors
and people you can work with, like, how do you like maybe
there it's like a little bit outside your comfort zone or a
(28:14):
little bit different than what you do.
It's a you're maybe open to trying it or something.
How do you like kind of make sure you're still maintaining
your authenticity when like working with partners and
creating this content, you mean like you get Dms from brands
that want to sponsor you, like how do you choose which ones are
(28:37):
good for you or not? OK.
So I think the first, the first thing I would say is to work
with, with brands that you admire, like I said before,
brands that align with your essence, with what you do.
And I know it can be tensing, like I said before, to say yes
(28:58):
to everything because when you first start, you need money, you
need to get paid, you need to pay your rent, you need to pay
your bills. But in the long run, this might
affect you, this might affect your online presence.
And your audience is going to notice that.
And maybe they're going to leaveyou, they're going to stop, like
they're going to unfollow you. So you just like, promote every
(29:19):
single brand that's going to make you like they're not going
to believe in you. So what I do is this.
At the beginning, I target everysingle brand on Instagram.
I will send them private messengers at private like DMS
and I will explain to them how much I admire the brand, why
(29:40):
would I be a great asset for them and why would I love to
work with them. So let's say my regular day goes
like I wake up and I do my meditation.
Then I do my NLP. There's something new that I
practice that I started this year, like neuro linguistic
therapy, like reprogramming my brain.
(30:01):
And then I go to the gym. Workout for me is a lifestyle
and eating healthy is a lifestyle.
I don't do it because somebody forced me.
I don't do it because I want to be skinny.
It's just a lifestyle. So I will target a lot of brands
like like workout brands or maybe some like meditation
(30:26):
programs. I do yoga on the weekends.
It's not every day, but I love yoga, so you can target brands
related to that. So that's what I use used to do
at the beginning. I will target those brands, but
I can tell you something funny that happened to me back then.
I was approached by a sex toy company.
(30:47):
Nothing against sex toys, but that's not my niche.
I don't talk about sexuality, I don't talk about toys for sex.
I don't talk about anything related to that.
And back then, I had only like 10,000 or 8000 followers.
(31:07):
They offered me like $15,000 something crazy.
And it was so tempting. But I was like, you know what?
It's not for me. Even though the money was
amazing, I had to say no. And I needed the money back then
because I just moved to LA and lays the most expensive city in
the United States. Well, you know, you you live
(31:29):
there too. Yeah.
So I was like, but there's no way I'm not.
I don't even think my followers would want to buy a sex toy for
me because I never talk about it.
So that's what I'm trying to say.
I hope you understand. Yeah, yeah, it's totally, you
know, you got to be authentic and then it's true like you you
could take the money and it's they're promoting it.
(31:51):
Then you'd lose like probably half your audience.
Because I was like, why is she talking about this now Has
nothing to do with why they're following you And something very
important, not only you would lose your followers, but then
the brand will be affected too. Because at the end, the brands
hire you because you influence people to light up product or
(32:17):
buy that product. And then if you don't have, if
you're not in that niche, then the brand is going to be
affected as well because they'renot going to have any sales out
of you. Totally.
So lose, lose for everybody involved.
And then you know this part of this too ties in with one of the
(32:39):
biggest topics I talk about withyoga teachers is imposter
syndrome. So they feel like who am I to be
teaching yoga? Who am I to be posting on
Instagram And there's so many yoga teachers on Instagram now.
So many influencers out there like why would anyone follow me
and? That's a very common thing.
(33:00):
So like how do you help navigatelike self doubt imposter
syndrome? Well I love this because I have
self doubts and imposter syndrome.
Like being an actor from Colombia moving to New York with
a very strong accent. I barely spoke English.
That was one of my biggest fearsonce I go to the audition and
(33:25):
auditions are very scary. You're just right there in that
room with like 5 people in frontof you.
So I had to work a lot on this and I think the module #1 which
is based on mindset and limitingbeliefs will help you overcome
these fears and doubts and the imposter syndrome.
(33:46):
What is something that you need to work out right here from from
your brain? You need to accept who you are.
You need to accept your mistakes.
If you can fix them of course. But me having an accent wasn't a
mistake is just the way it is. And even though I have tried so
much to to get rid of my accent now I love it.
(34:08):
You know, so yeah, it's a littlehard.
But mindset and limiting beliefsis something that I work hard
on, and I have it on my programstoo.
Yeah, I think mindset is super important and it really creates
our reality and shapes what we focus on.
So I'm curious if you want to share any like insights or
(34:30):
mindset shifts that people listening could make to help
increase their on. Their work with all this like
growing their audience, growing their income online, growing
their business. You mean what do I do?
Yeah. Like what?
What do you do? What do you find helpful?
What have you done? I know you know we talked about
(34:52):
this like you've been meditatingforever, very disciplined in
that. That's my number one.
Well, yes, of course my number one, it's meditation and
visualization. I have been practicing be
passing on meditation for the past 15 years and if you guys
don't know what we pass on, it is you should put a link down
(35:12):
there because it's a every meditation is all around the
world and you can go there to the center and practice and
learn. This Vipassana meditation
practice for 10 days totally free is by donations only and
that had helped me tremendously to be confident, to be present,
to be aware and visualization and my dream wars.
(35:36):
I know people think this is foolish to do, but it helps me
to to put everything on paper. Like what are my goals from now
up to three months? What are my goals from now to
next year? What are my goals from now to
five years? And then I put that on paper,
but I also put it on pictures, right in front of my bed and
(35:59):
also on my phone. So every time I open my phone, I
see my my vision board, and every time I open my computer,
the first thing I open I I see is my my writing.
It's like, what am I going to dotoday to to be better?
What am I going to do from here to three months to be better or
(36:20):
to accomplish this goal Like this course that I created.
It took me 6 months to create it, but I planned that for I
wrote that for like the past twoyears.
Like every day I would say I will have my course.
I just didn't know what I was going to teach.
But I knew I wanted to have an online business that I didn't
(36:42):
need to to accept returns or to ship or something like that.
I didn't want to be in one place.
I didn't want to have a storage.I wanted to to create something,
but I didn't know what it was. And after two years I came out
with this idea because people keep asking me questions and I
keep helping them. So I think it really works.
(37:07):
Absolutely. I've done this many times as
well. I like to use index cards and
I'll write it down and look at it every day.
Yeah, it really works. And yeah, like when you do the
visual, like, do you get magazines and cut them up or do
you do it on your computer now? No, I you know what?
(37:29):
I'm old school and I love. That's why I said people might
think this is foolish. When they come to my house,
sometimes I feel embarrassed because I have two big dream
boards and I frame them. Yes, I get magazines and I cut
them and I put them in there. When the other ones in my
computer, they're more serious because they're just writing,
you know, kind of like journal. But if you come to my house,
(37:53):
which I I'm sure you're gonna come to visit me, yeah, you will
see my different horse. And they're really funny.
They look like cartoons, like from a little girl.
Oh, that's fun. You know, it should feel good
when you look at it, right? I love it.
I just feel like, weird when people look at them.
They're like, really people thatthey're not into those things,
(38:16):
like my mom, you know? Like, I keep telling my mom,
mom, meditation is amazing. Visualization is amazing.
Everything that I have done in my life is because of this.
And then she's like, OK, like, whatever.
Yeah, it's not for everyone necessarily, but you know we
talk about a little bit of, I know you're very busy person you
(38:41):
you're used to working like all day, every day in the
entertainment industry. But how have you found like
manage your time and energy now as an influencer and working
online? And what can people learn from
that? How can they better manage their
time and energy? Well, I'm still pretty busy now
(39:01):
too. Yeah, so in my case, I have to
create a lot of things in my life to get where I am today.
And one of them was I stopped saying yes to every single event
that you didn't align with my brand or contribute to my social
media growth. I feel that hurt me a little bit
(39:23):
in terms of like being out therewith the Pr's and all that.
Because sometimes they invite you and they expect you to to do
a story or to do a video or something like that.
And then he didn't align with me, so I stopped saying yes,
even though I would love to go back to that world and always be
(39:45):
on events and rent a car that's not very particular with what I
choose. I also stopped saying yes to all
my friends invitations to prioritize my career as a
content creator. So I allowed myself just to have
fun on the weekends, and I stilldo that.
I also learned to send boundaries with brand
(40:05):
collaboration. Meaning that instead of
accepting gifts that came with expectations of extensive
content creation, I started collaborating on a gift basis
with limited content requirements.
So there's a lot of things. I also quit Netflix for six
months because I love watching TV series.
I'm an actor and I love to see my friends, and a lot of my
(40:30):
friends are very famous and they're on all these TV shows.
So I said no, I have to quit Netflix for six months.
I have to quit going to events and red carpet if they're not.
If they're not, benefit me. And also just have fun on the
weekends. But even on the weekends I work
for a little bit in the morning. But yeah, you love your work and
(40:51):
you like you wanna be like it's,you know, you wanna be doing it.
So it makes it easy to keep showing up.
It doesn't, you know, you don't feel like you have to do it,
right? Oh no, I love it.
And and you know that because I spent one month in Masune where
I met you and you, you saw me. I was during the week, I was
(41:12):
really busy shooting my videos, editing and also with my online
course. But then on the weekends I'll go
out and dance and and have my drinks because I love wine.
So. But everything with moderations.
Yeah, totally. Like you got great.
Experience. You're very active.
It's it's cool. I also like to see people kind
(41:33):
of like how they plan their lifeand their day around their work
and like, seemed like you had a blast and got to do a lot of
things and and still got a lot of work done.
And I think that's a good balance to have.
Yes. And I can't wait to go back to
visit you guys. Yeah, definitely.
Yeah. So it's so good to have you.
(41:53):
So good to talk with you today. And again, people can find you
on Instagram. Diana in English, we'll say
Diana A Hernandez, that's how wepronounce it.
But it's Diana in Spanish and I'll put the link in the show
notes and people can check out your free master class.
What's your website that they can go to check that out.
(42:16):
I don't have a website per se, but that's I will send you the
link of my free master class andwell you have my Instagram link
but I can send you my Facebook as well so people can get to
know me a little better. Because I know you are in the
yoga world, which I love and I want to be more active on that.
(42:39):
So I can share my links with youso you can put it underneath the
podcast, but the first one that you should share is the free
Master class because if they aregoing to be benefit out of it
for free. Yeah, it's a great class and
from a great person. So great to have you here today,
Deanna. Thank you.
(43:01):
I love you, Jeremy. Thank you so much.
Thank you for having me. Thank you.
