Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, they talk better than they excited.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
These are the radio blogs on the Fresh Show, like
for writing in our diaries, except we say to him aloud.

Speaker 1 (00:08):
Rufo says he needs prayers. Guys. He was on Facebook
saying he needs prayers. So why don't you tell us? Why?

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Now?

Speaker 1 (00:14):
Go ahead?

Speaker 3 (00:14):
Uh, dear blogs.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
So yes, I've never done this sort of thing, but
I need your prayers y'all because, uh, this Saturday, Ashlyn
starts his soccer league. Oh and obviously, as his parents,
I have to take him because Mom's at work. So
I'm a little nervous on how this is going to go.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
Are you on the coaching staff?

Speaker 4 (00:37):
No?

Speaker 2 (00:37):
They so they were asking for volunteer coaches. I was like, Jess, like,
you want me to sign you up? I was like, hell, nod.
These kids will be doing laps.

Speaker 4 (00:45):
Yeah, the kids will be out there doing calistatics, doing
whatever sort of crazy crap makes me do whatever. The
thing where you thrust the sky and then the thing
where you crawl like a caterpillar, And that's what Roofe
will be making a bunch of six year olds do
five year olds do whatever?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
I'm more scared are you watching them?

Speaker 2 (01:01):
That's why I need your prayers, y'all. Because so he
signed up for this little the micro League. I think
it's like three or four year olds. You can't be
five years old yet. So it's his first time playing.
He said, he's a little nervous because obviously he's never
played with other kids like this in the league.

Speaker 3 (01:18):
So it starts on Saturday.

Speaker 2 (01:20):
They do a little practice, like a twenty minute practice
before each game, and then they play like for forty minutes,
so like little periods with water breaks and everything like that.
So there's like six teams. There's like ten kids on
a team. It's seven on seven. So not I guess
not every kid's gonna have to play from the beginning.
They don't keep scoring, which is nice, so they're just
gonna be kicking his ball around. And I don't know,

(01:41):
like he like we watch soccer on TV, you know,
but he doesn't.

Speaker 3 (01:46):
He's not no pro, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
But as a parent, like they ask the parents to
sit like on the opposite side from the coaches this year,
so obviously, so you're not coaching your kid. I might
be like even farther, I might be in my car
just watching, you know what. I'm saying, but uh, to
control yourself, Yeah, you have to. So the other thing
is last week there was a meeting with all the
parents to go over the rules, and you know, when

(02:09):
you pick up your jerseys and this and that how
it goes. And then there's me, the competitive person. I'm
there's parents and kids there right to learn about the league,
not me sizing up these other kids like oh no,
you could take cash and could take this kid.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
Wait, but who is bringing the orange slices and the gushers?

Speaker 3 (02:30):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
I've never I've never been start of like a big
deal like yeah, even as a kid, I really didn't
do a lot of like sports leagues, you know what
I'm saying.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
So I don't know these orange slices.

Speaker 4 (02:40):
And so here's the other thing I've noticed though, and
you're gonna have to deal with this, is that like
they don't really follow the rules for the little little kids, right,
and so like you're a big rules guy, and you
know what's fair. Rules they're not good at. They don't
really necessarily make them. Like you know, I've watched tiktoks,
a little kids playing basketball and they travel a lot

(03:02):
of stuff, and it's like because.

Speaker 1 (03:04):
The other one they get to calls, you know, they can't.

Speaker 4 (03:06):
So the parents are like, oh, it's good, you know whatever,
there's not they're not ruby over here going That was right.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
Right there.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
Look I googled it. It's an official rule book. Don't
be that guy. Man, I love you so much, but
don't be that guy.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
My other thing is is that Ashlyn he'll sometimes have
meltdowns when things don't go his way, you know, especially
if he's playing with other kids.

Speaker 1 (03:33):
No kids. I don't know.

Speaker 3 (03:37):
I don't know where he gets it from.

Speaker 2 (03:40):
You know, like I wanted to pick up the ball
and storm off, like.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
This is my ball, I'm going home.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
I don't want where on earth would he get an
attitude like that.

Speaker 3 (03:49):
So I might just drop him off and be like
i'll be back in an hour.

Speaker 4 (03:51):
Sun I'll be watching, but right far away, very far.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
It'll be interesting.
