Speaker 1 (00:00):
Eight five three five. He could text the same number.
By the way, everyone know who Tom Selik is. Yeah,
Tom Sellek.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
Well they should know because of Friends, right Tom.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
He was on Friends, he was on Three Men and
a Baby, Little Lady magnum p I he's on that
show now about the cops, Yes, he's one Wahlberg. Never
one of those that is those. No, he's like the
commissioner though, blue.

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Blood, blue blood. That's what he's so cool.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
I don't know why, but he just is.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
He has the iconic mustache.

Speaker 2 (00:32):
Yes.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
It turns out, though the Tom Sellek has never sent
a text or an email in his entire life ever.
I guess that can't be true. Yeah, he says he's
looked up his own name. He's writing a book. I
guess he has a book that's coming out. But basically
that's it.

Speaker 3 (00:52):
He says.

Speaker 1 (00:52):
That's old, that he's done. He has never he is
seventy nine years old. He has never sent a text
or an email in his life.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
I love that.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
So this what I want to know, What have you
never done that everybody else has done? I don't think
that you can be under the age of like seventy
and truly say that you've never Like, I don't think
you can survive and not have sent a text or
an email of some form. Like think about that, Like
think of the stuff I don't. There's just stuff you
can't do anymore in person, I'm right, I mean, like,

(01:24):
how can you get away with not texting somebody?

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Something that's not believed?

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Like he has a phone, somebody texts him, and then
what does he do?

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Write a letter? He calls the person back.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
How do we know he has a phone?

Speaker 5 (01:36):
Right?

Speaker 2 (01:37):
It could be like Dolly.

Speaker 1 (01:37):
Parton who uses phone. I know an eighty something year
old that had never sent a text message. I'm not
sure that he never sent an email before. In fact,
if I emailed him, he had an assistant that would
print the email out. He would write on the paper.
The assistant would then scan the paper and then not
only send the scan in email, but then send the

(01:58):
paper to in the mail. So you had the actual
paper that he wrote on.

Speaker 5 (02:02):
Now that's how you said on business, Yes, refusing to
change with the time.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Well, he had a lot of money, this man, he
was very important. I had a lot of money, so
he didn't. I mean, basically he could just put his
foot down and say I'm not doing it. Yeah, but
somebody was doing it for him, so it wasn't as
though he was able to survive without it. He just
had somebody do it for him, which I probably is
what Tom Sellig is doing.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
People. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
The manager wants to somebody wants to email him something.
They probably email it to someone else and then they give.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
It to him. I guess, because at.

Speaker 1 (02:30):
Some point in your life you got to be like
I just if you're like eighty years old, do you
really want to try and keep up with all the
new technology. Like if you don't care about it and
you haven't been doing it, it's like going to be
a foreign language to you. Right, Yeah, someone said that
they just text it. I've never ridden a bike. Oh wow,
I have never to teach you. I got the skills, Well,

(02:51):
I know you've been working on that. Action is pro
now with no training wheels. Yeah, I learned this weekend.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
We did the kickoff so he could getting herself going
without my help. Really wow? Yeah, you have a helmet,
started helmet and pad just a helmet. You know, scars
are good for you, that's right, and you're trusted.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
You started killing because your mom would tell you that
she was holding on.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
She was yeah, Like I vividly remember being so terrified
when I would look back and she wasn't holding on
anymore than I would crash every time, and I was like,
you lied to hey, that was part of the problem.
That's the same thing over the weekend. He's like, you
can let go. I'm like half a blog.

Speaker 2 (03:31):
You're good, right, I'm not even running with you, bro.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
Never had a TikTok, which is someone detected, which is
probably good based on some news. I haven't once trending
here in a minute.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
I'm not ready. I know you're not.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
I never had a Facebook account, never rode a bike.
Somebody said, I've never seen a Star Wars movie, as
you know, if you've been listening for any period of time,
and I refuse. I refuse at this point because now
it's just a conversation starter. Up until a long time ago,
I'd never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich until
Billy brought me one. But I had never had the combination.

(04:05):
I've had peanut, but I think I had a peanut
butter sandwich. I never had a peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
Never had it, and I didn't like it. No good. No,
I think whatever jelly was on there was a little
too sweet for my liking. I've never not cheated. Someone said, wow, okay, wow, fancy.

Speaker 3 (04:23):
Never not cheated. Yeah, wow, okay.

Speaker 1 (04:28):
My father is seventy nine and he has never sent
a text or used a computer. See this is what
I mean. Like, at some point, I think you just
say someone did this for me. I'm just not doing it.
I refuse.

Speaker 2 (04:39):
I'm sure Kiki can relate to this.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
But I've never had my emails at zero, never once.

Speaker 2 (04:45):
Like the red bubble. I've never had no.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
No bubbles of any kind. Yeah, no bubbles of any
kind on any screen, text messages or emails. What Yeah, yeah, nope,
I don't text anybody. I called you old list. Yeah,
I'm Tom Sellik over here.

Speaker 5 (05:02):
So Pizza Hut don't text y'all. Fashion Ova, y'all don't
get like the you know.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
But I look at it.

Speaker 2 (05:07):
I look at it right away. If I get a notivacation,
I'm looking at it right away.

Speaker 3 (05:10):
Why is Pizza Hut texting you well, you know, like
a deal.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
Yeah, no, Jesus, a cheating thing.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
Why is pizza I called you at five.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
In the morning.

Speaker 3 (05:20):
Not bad piece of hut.

Speaker 5 (05:21):
I'm like, you know, sign sign up for.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
TT that's a different while.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
Yeah, if you get a text message from Pizza Hutt
at five in the morning offering you a deal offering
you twenty percent off, that's a whole different kind of deal.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
No, I say no to all that stuff. I don't
want that stuff. Really.

Speaker 4 (05:45):
I think he's also why I'm a bad Texter, because
I'm a bad Texter backer, you know what I'm saying. Like,
I get the notifications, I'll look at it and I
don't text back right away.

Speaker 2 (05:53):
I'll just get rid of the notification and I'll read it.

Speaker 4 (05:55):
And then I don't respond, And then like a few
hours later, a day ago, the next day, they're like, hey,
I texted you yesterday.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
I was like, oh, yeah, you did.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
I forgot So you want of those you just want
it off your screat but you don't respond right Well,
were some people I don't respond to purposely and then.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
See but if I don't respond immediately because I have
to make the bubble go away, I have to make
the notification go away. So if I don't address whatever
it is right away, then it will just never happen.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Yeah, I forget.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
That's what I do.

Speaker 1 (06:26):
But I can't have the Again, I don't want the bubbles.
I don't want the notification. So I just get in there.
Something has to happen right away or it doesn't happen
at all, because again, it's more important for me to
clear the notification than it is for me to you know,
So then I have to like, it has to happen
right then.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
Otherwise I just forget.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Why don't you try do not disturb so you don't
get so many notifications?

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Yeah, people over here doesn't know how to do that.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
Oh, I mean I could show you.

Speaker 1 (06:48):
You might have to show me. Yeah, I've never had
a McDonald's cheeseburger. I've never been a cheesecake factory. Oh,
I mean you got to go a cheesecake factory. You
can get Kung powd chicken and an ore cheesecake in
the same place, and a lawyer and a lawyer and
an engagement right.

Speaker 2 (07:04):
Right breakfast the ads in the in the menu.

Speaker 1 (07:08):
Oh yeah, those things are let's like an encyclopedia for
menu factory.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
Have you but you have met a cheesa factory?

Speaker 5 (07:13):
Yes, but I don't I don't look at the ads.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Oh my god, they got like real is in there
a house? You can do that. You can't say realtor.
They get mad at you. It's real tour. Don't say
it wrong. She said, I don't know. My mom is.

Speaker 1 (07:28):
Eighty four and has never sent a text or email.
Recently learned how to FaceTime with my niece. Okay, well
that's good.

Speaker 3 (07:37):
There you go.

Speaker 1 (07:38):
I don't know how you can get to it. Never
watched grads anatomy. Somebody said the same. I don't know
how you can get through life without email or text.
But again, I think you probably have people doing it
for you if you're at a certain point, at a
certain age. I never I don't think I ever got
a text message in my grandfather or my grandmother. I
don't think they had an iPhone, but they did you
send them a text? I probably not, because I don't

(07:59):
think they knew how to get it. I don't even
knew how to respond. I we just call them, you
know what I mean. I knew how to answer the phone.
So there was that. What else have I never done?
Never seen Star Wars movie? Never Well, I hadn't.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I never made love.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
I think you have.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
I don't think I have. I thought maybe, but no
in retrospect. No, you said I love you to a
woman before I have.

Speaker 4 (08:25):
Yeah, okay, a woman doesn't count.

Speaker 3 (08:29):
Oh my dog's a woman, so it doesn't count. I
do love her though,
