Speaker 1 (00:00):
Caitlin's Entertainment Report. He's on the Fresh Show. James Cordon
invented his frustration at an airport staff member after a
nightmare flight, and this time the public is actually on
his side. Which remember his meltdown over it was a
restaurant over eggs or something that his wife ordered and
everyone was like, he's very mean. But this time James

(00:22):
landed in Lisbon, where he was spotted confronting a British
Airways employee after a really turbulent trip to the UK
from Portugal. But those on the flight claim he was
actually speaking up for all of them after the plane
was forced to make an emergency stop due to a
technical difficulty. I mean, I couldn't have been bowing. I
didn't look into it, but I know it wasn't boeing

(00:42):
for sure. No, apparently, and this is terrifying. The plane
struggled to gain altitude as soon as it left and
circled for forty five minutes, never reaching altitude before announcing
an emergency landing. A woman named Vanessa, who was on
the flight with her mom and husband, said at one
point the staff on the airplane told them to adopt
the brace position and when we land. If you're able,

(01:03):
please find your nearest emergency exit and vacate the plane.
Passengers were eventually told that they would no longer have
to assume that brace position, but spent three hours on
the tarmac in Lisbon before the plane was finally taken
out of service. Vanessa claims James was then keeping passengers
entertained by posing for selfies as they made their way
back to the UK, which goes against everything we've kind

(01:25):
of heard about him, but yeah, he kind of saved
that flight and people from losing it. Jeremy Renner said
he was asked to reprise his Mission Impossible character agent
William Brandt in the twenty eighteen sequel Fallout, but the
offer was apparently for him to shoot one week so
his character could be killed off, and he was not
down with that. He said, I remember they tried to
bring me overseas for a week so they could kill

(01:46):
my character. I was like, Nope, you don't get to
do that. You're not gonna drag me over there just
to kill me, Like, get out of here. You're gonna
do this, Yes, you're gonna use my character, and you're
gonna do it, right, he said. He even yelled at
the director. He's like, I'm not going done like that.
Jeremy never returned to the Mission Impossible franchise after Rogue Nation,
although he recently said that he would be open to

(02:07):
coming back. I'm assuming if they do it the right way,
if they want to kill him. But he's like, no,
I've always wondered what happened to him? Yeah, and that
is what happened. Thank you, You're so welcome. Wow, I
taught you something you didn't know. I like that. And
during the latest episode of Armchair Expert, Kevin Costner looked
back at his bond with his really good friend and
co star Whitney Houston after they started together in The Bodyguard,
and he was talking about I don't know if you

(02:27):
guys remember this, the emotional eulogy that he delivered at
our funeral, and he said, even though he was asked,
he refused to make the speech shorter, so before giving it,
he was told CNN's here, they wouldn't mind if you
keep your remarks short because they're going to have commercials.
I know, right, And he said they can get over that,
they can play the commercial while I'm talking. I don't care.

(02:48):
He did the right thing. He wanted to make sure
he said everything he needed to say in his sweech.
He said, I started and about seventeen minutes later, I
was done. So he gave his full speech, and even
though they remained close over the next twenty year years
after the movie, he was initially really hesitant to speak
at our funeral and it was Dione Warwick that got
him to finally say, yes, who we loved in this house,
we love her. But yeah, he said, I'm not doing that.

(03:10):
This is somebody's funeral. Doesn't matter about commercials. If you
