Speaker 1 (00:00):
Good morning everybody. Thank you so much for having us on.
It's The Fred Show on on your radio. On your radio,
also on the iHeartRadio app anytime live or later on
search for The Fred Show for that. Hello, Caylin, Hi,
Jason Brown, Hi, Rufio hiki, good morning. Okay, So there's

(00:20):
a debate going on online and I don't have a
problem with this whatsoever, but I want to know what
you guys think. Eight five five one three five. Of
course you guys in the room, so you can text
the same number. So a woman named Madison from Georgia
tie them out with her longtime boyfriend Greg. Back in March.
They decided to serve food from Chili's on their big

(00:40):
day and it saved them thousands of dollars. They spent
about two thousand dollars. And I saw the TikTok about this.
I mean they had like there's a little very long
mights receiving order. Basically it was a ton of chilies
and then they ordered like three or four custom meals for.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
People that couldn't eat any of that.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Okay, it was two thousand dollars defeat ninety nine guests,
which comes out to about twenty bucks a person. According
to the not the average price for a wedding catering
is about seventy five bucks in person.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
Does that sound right? Yeah? Yes, And that's not alcohol, right,
that's just food. That's just food. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:11):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:11):
I thought it was built that it could be.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
So this woman, she ordered chicken tenders, sliders, egg rolls, chips,
and salsa Cajun chicken pasta salad. Five meals that were
looting for your dairy, free for anyone else. They said
that they love chilies and in addition to saving money,
that they connected over chilies early in their relationship. So
there are people online staying that's amazing. I would be
one of those people. I would be stoked if I

(01:35):
went to a wedding and you had chilies. Not only that,
but I would remember that you had chilies at your wedding.
Other people are going, that's absurd. I'm not dressing up
to go to a wedding and giving you an expensive
gift so you can serve me chilies.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
That's wild. It's not tip for tap.

Speaker 1 (01:48):
People need to stop, like if you're going to the
wedding or supporting the couple, it's not an exchange thing
like you going because you love them. Yes, I'm sure
if you've been listening for all you remember this whole thing.
But my we sister got married a few years ago
and it was it was expensive, and she had it
was by the way, it turned out to be great
because it was literally the last weekend before the COVID
shutdown her wedding, so like a lot of people remember

(02:11):
that is the last time they did.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
Anything social like truly for two years. So it wound up.

Speaker 1 (02:16):
But it was a beautiful venue, food was whatever.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
It was expensive. I told my sister, I'm like, you know,
you guys met at a dive bar, working at a
dive bar. Do you know what you should do? And
of course you didn't do it.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I didn't want to hear it, but I'm like, you
could spend ten thousand dollars and get like a cool
venue could be spend all the money on the venue
twenty whatever it is. I don't know how much venues
caused a lot. It was expensive and they get a
food truck in, like a band, a great band and
beer and like tacos and get married and everybody would
remember that and everybody would think it was the best

(02:50):
time because it didn't have to get dressed up, and
they ate with you know, like a real good food
they wanted to, and they drank what they wanted to
and they because think about it, I don't remember what
I ate at her web.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I have no idea it was. It was bougie though, that.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
Was I don't know, multiple courses, and I don't know
what the hell was on it.

Speaker 2 (03:07):
I don't remember what it was though. Yeah, people don't remember.

Speaker 1 (03:10):
So like Cherley's is awesome, I would have been so stoked.
Like fagg Rolls her chips is saw.

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Fire, somebody comes out with the Faiamen. I would have
been so excited. I don't know who, like I have,
I don't. I don't know.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
I'm trying to see the devil's advocate here. Like I
don't have an expectation of if I go to a wedding,
I guess I expect you to have food and drink.
I do expect that if I'm going to a party,
I need food and drink. If I'm being really honest,
I know you're gonna say the boz, the booze need
to be free.

Speaker 2 (03:45):
He does.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
I've had plenty of booze already this morning. The booths
have to be I get everybody can afford all day. Yeah,
but that those are my two expectations some form of
food and oh and air conditioning is nice too, that's
a minimum expectation, oh, air air conditioning.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
Yeah, or that I don't I'm not judging you.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
I don't care, but I guess rather than a crappy
banquet meal, you could actually for less get me name
brand food from Chili's.

Speaker 2 (04:17):
I'd much rather have that.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
That is just absurd, though you're tripping over somebody's food choice,
and like you don't know this bride's budget, like you
mentioned too, and like Kaitlin said this, like you're going
for the copple to celebrate them.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
So that drives me crazy. And then to like, I
don't know.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I just feel like like if I'm going to celebrate
you at the end of the day, it's like I
literally will eat whatever about you. It's all about like
the people saying, oh, I got dressed up and now
you're gonna feed me Chili's. It's like, don't get dressed
up if you don't want to come, Like that's weirdo energy.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Well, I don't bring that. Think about this. How many weddings.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
Have you been to where at like eleven o'clock, the
White Castle shows up or the or whatever, the McDonald's
or the Taco Bell or whatever. And that's what everybody
freaks out about. My pizza, you know, Pizza Hut shows
up at the end of the wedding a eleven o'clock.

Speaker 2 (05:00):
You're like, yeah, the wild so good. The drunk first like.
No One's like yeah, I don't know, whatever right, no one.
No one is like no, you're to spend all this money,
like thirty thousand dollars for dried chickens. The Tiana can
say how gross?

Speaker 1 (05:18):
It was like wait there, yeah, you know what I mean?

Speaker 2 (05:20):
Shut up?

Speaker 1 (05:23):
Is that? Is that what I think it is? I'm
so glad I put a text for the guys said
