Speaker 1 (00:00):
Caitlin's Entertainment Report, and he's on the Bread Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Fiona Harvey, the Scottish woman who came forward as the
real Martha portrayed and Baby Reindeer, has filed a one
hundred and seventy million dollar defamation suit against Netflix. So
the lawsuit begins with the tag from the show quote
this is a true story, and goes on to say
that the on screen statement is quote the biggest lie
in TV history. So the complaint continues it is a

(00:26):
lie told by Netflix and the show's creator, Richard Gadd,
out of greed and lust for fame, and that he
and the streaming platform sought to viciously destroy her life.
It further states that Fiona is an innocent woman who
has been defamed at a magnitude and scale without precedent.
The most interesting part of this whole thing to me, though,
is that Richard, who based the hit show on his

(00:48):
own experiences with being stalked, is not being sued to
my understanding, So she's just suing Netflix, which makes me
feel like there's some legal thing that she can't do
by suing him.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Confused, because so Martha, I watched Baby Reindeer, Martha is
the craziest portrayed. Is a crazy woman, yes, and obsessive
and all these other things, but her real name is Fiona. Yes,
So my thing is, first of all, I'm not an attorney.
I did take two classes at law school, so I
basically have an attorney. But is he not allowed? Then

(01:21):
he didn't use your real name, so unless she had
come out and said that it was her, I don't
know that anybody would know that it was her.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
So because he played himself, the internet found her, so
she didn't. She says she didn't want to come forward,
but people ended up figuring out who she was, and
then she says she was essentially forced to come forward
because she was getting death threats and stuff. So I
don't know if she'll have a legal case in terms
of suing him.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Going to I'll say, isn't he is allowed like artistic?
Like can't I tell my own story and change people?
I mean, I don't. Again, I don't know the law
on this, but yeah, I know he's allowed to give
his interpretation artistically, and that's why he's not being sued
because like he can, he can tell his own story
and it wasn't like he went out and said, Hey,

(02:06):
the Fiona, he did change your name, right, Yeah?

Speaker 2 (02:08):
No, I mean, it'll be interesting to see what happens
for sure, But if it's me, I don't care. If
they found me, I'm like, that wasn't me because I'm on.

Speaker 3 (02:16):
The last episode.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
I haven't finished it yet, but.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
Oh my god, I'm not saying I don't know that guy, right,
it is not me.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Nine months after Elon Musk cooked up a remote Amazon
tribe to the Internet, there's been some major issues, as
you could expect, mainly a porn addiction overtaking the community's
younger men. So the Marubo tribes elders have come forward
to admit that while the Tesla founders starlink service was
initially a huge celebration for them, it's all turned into

(02:46):
a big mess because some of the tribesmen are now
displaying quote, aggressive sexual behavior. One tribesman named Alfredo Marubo
spoke to The New York Times saying that some men
are even sharing explicit videos in group chats, and he's
concerned they're gonna want to mimic the graphic content they're
seeing on screen, so they're turning into America. By the way,

(03:06):
it's not just porn causing worry, though. Other issues ranged
from kids playing violent shooter games to chatting with strangers
online and getting addicted to their phones for hours. According
to another tribesman, they're also becoming lazy. Oh my god,
this is such an interesting experiment because that's like what
happened over here so long ago. Despite the challenges, though,

(03:27):
the internet has given them some good things, like allowing
them to reach out for help and emergencies, as well
as educational resources, connecting them to family and seeing other places.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
So this is why we can't have nice things, you guys.
We can't have nice things because this is what happened.
And now you got tribesmen going, hey, how do I
get one of those dishwashers? Right, somebody gets stuck. Someone's
got to get stuck.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
No. I love that they're texting their friends and group
chats like it's literally just right.

Speaker 3 (03:52):
Right Welcome to America and real quick and Taylor Swift's
ariostour has brought out fans, celebs, and now a go,
most possibly after a shadowy figure appeared to stand at
the top of a huge stadium to watch her show,
so fans got video of the unexpected guests in the
middle of her song Delicate while she was performing in Madrid,
and as you can see and we can post it,

(04:14):
there's this really creepy thing which looks.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Like a human standing and swing at the very top alone,
which is a restricted area by the way. Now it
could just be a human who got access to that,
but only time will tell if that shadowy figure will
make a return to the uq uk where she's headed next.
But it does look very creepy. Did you see it, Jason, Yeah,
it looks ominous. Dominus.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
Yeah, yeah, it's like dark and it's very lit up,
so yeah, yeah, Bobby Valentino. Yeah, So if you want
to catch up on anything you missed from our show,
The Fred Show, obviously you can go a couple places.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
TikTok is that something when anybody does or in this room,
does anyone share adult content with Like if I see
if I see a funny meme or like a funny
article or a video or TikTok that I think someone
might laugh at, you know, I might I might forward
that along, But never in my life have I watched
something salacious of adult content, of personal intimate contact content

(05:21):
and been like, my boy would love this, you know,
like or I really enjoyed this one, Like let me
like this. The old joke about back in the day,
way back in the day before all of our time,
when this sort of content was on on VHS tape,
which is you know, like a tape, which I probably
have to explain to a lot of people listening what
that is. Like you actually had, you know, movies on

(05:43):
a tape, and you put the tape in the tape
player and you hit play, and sometimes you had to
hit rewind to get it to the beginning of the tape,
so you could start from the beginning, because if you
took the tape out in the middle and you put
it in and put play, then it would just start
right there. And the old running joke was, if you
ever borrow in film from your buddies, make sure that
you hit rewind first, otherwise you're going to know the

(06:04):
exact spot.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Yeah, okay, yes, so that was the old running joke
about that.

Speaker 1 (06:15):
But like I can't imagine, like I'm just sitting at work,
one day and my buddy Trevor sends me a link
to like, you know, mom, stepmom or what hey.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
It's for them, so they're probably like, oh man, did
you know you could do this? Also, I do have
people in my life who still think it's funny to
send that dude with the huge long you know, you
click on something and it'll be like you know, and
then it's that guy.

Speaker 5 (06:40):
God rest his soul.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
I think he passed away. But yeah, so stuff like
that probably.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
I just yeah, I just I'm not aware of anybody like,
I don't know how I would react to that. If
I'm sitting there one day and like Rufio sends me
a link to like you got to see this one?
I really like that.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
It's very personal.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
I'm good right now.
