Speaker 1 (00:02):
He's never been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Hey Marcy, good morning, Welcome to the Selle.
How are you.
Speaker 2 (00:09):
I'm good.
Speaker 1 (00:11):
Let's see if you're good in a few minutes. It's
waiting by the phone. You think this guy Ron may
have ghosted you, So tell us how you met Ron
at about any dates you've been on and all of that.
Speaker 2 (00:22):
Okay? So I met Ron on match dot com and
I thought he was amazing, like total package, like super
gorgeous and like cool, funny, smart, and like we exchanged
numbers and realized you had so much in common, and
you know, I couldn't wait for him to ask me out,
and he eventually did go out for drinks and I
(00:43):
had a blas. I just couldn't wait to hang out again.
But he never called Matt sorry about that. She just
bounced her head.
Speaker 1 (00:52):
Did you and Ron have a child or did you
guys have a kid? You don't want to pay John support?
Is that what this is? All? Right?
Speaker 3 (01:03):
Well?
Speaker 1 (01:04):
I hope everybody is okay. But what happened next?
Speaker 2 (01:07):
He couldn't wait to ask me out, and he eventually
did and went also drinks and I had a bloss
and I couldn't wait for him, you know, to like
ask me out again.
Speaker 3 (01:16):
But he never called.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
And I don't know why.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I feel like every time people bring up Match dot Com,
I say the same thing, which is it that's the
serious one, right, like because you got to pay for that?
I mean, I guess they're free trials, but you gotta.
I mean, are people on Match dot com more serious
than people on probably on like the dating apps that
are free or whatever.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
I would say, so, like the talent pool is definitely
different from like Facebook dating.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Which is.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Facebook is Facebook dating?
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Oh yeah, okay dating. I don't need another keep inviting
me on there? Oh really, well you're single and they
know it. Yeah. I don't think that thing on Facebook
that says like people you may know, that's basically people
that you want, soke up with it. I'm not. I
don't need to know. And then people you once hooked
(02:03):
up with who are now married for some reason. I
guess that's what that thing is. But so this guy
hasn't called you back, Marcy, and it's bothering you as
it would most people, and you want to know why,
So let's call him now? Good luck Marcy?
Speaker 2 (02:23):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (02:23):
Is this Ron.
Speaker 3 (02:26):
Hey? Ron.
Speaker 1 (02:26):
My name is Fredam calling from the Fred Show, the
morning radio program, and I do have to tell you
that we are on the radio right now and I
would need your permission to continue with the call. Can
which that for a couple of minutes on the show?
Speaker 3 (02:38):
Yeah, I guess I'm sure.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Okay, Well, thank you. We're calling on behalf of a
woman named Marcy who says she met you on match
dot com and you guys went out recently. Do you
remember this woman? Okay, So what's going on with her?
Because she told us that she thought you guys had
a great date and was hoping to see you again,
but apparently you haven't reached out for another date, and
so she feels like you're ghosting hers. So what's going on? Really?
(03:03):
Great date? Is?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
What?
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Is what she said?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
That is what she said? What was it not a
great date?
Speaker 3 (03:07):
I mean, I guess we all have our perspective.
Speaker 1 (03:11):
Well, what's your perspective? Boy?
Speaker 3 (03:16):
I don't I don't think I would be the only
one that would say this, but uh, I would think
I would say that Marcy is this rude and disrespectful?
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Rude and disrespectful? Why she did she didn't mention being
rude or disrespectful to me. So what what?
Speaker 3 (03:31):
Well, yeah, you know, right off the bat, But right
off the bat, it's very clear that she has brought
some sort of plague with her or I don't know
what she was. She was so sick, like extremely sick.
She's she's coughing, she's hacking. You know. At first I
(03:53):
was like, I was like, oh, you are you okay?
Like I thought, is there some like allergen? It's all
of a sudden, just like overcoming you. We can take
a second. No, she's just sick. She's literally sick. She's
blown her nose at the table. People are staring and
I'm not being pairing on it. I'm looking over people
are like looking like, huh, I'm.
Speaker 1 (04:11):
Afraid to go outside like that ron because if I
sneeze one time in public, I feel they need to
stand up with a megaphone and tell everyone I don't
have COVID. But so this woman's hacking, she's sneezing, she
got stuff whatever, very visibly ill on this date. Yes,
and I mean, like what.
Speaker 3 (04:27):
You just said, with you know, our recent call it era,
people are a little bit more sensitive. But even if
it wasn't any type of sensitive time. You just don't
do that. You don't go out and anybody could get sick.
I could get sick, you know, wherever it is.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
So she's until the date. You're saying that as opposed
to go on dates sick, she should have canceled it,
and and you would have been okay with that. You
would have been like you would have believed her.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Hey, well, of course, especially if they could have been
a phone call or a connection that way, and been like,
oh my god, I really want to meet you, but
I'm so under the whether you know, let me, let
me get myself together. And I hope that in a
few days you'd be willing to go on a date.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Of course, because I feel like the thing is on
the dating apps people are so flaky, and in this case,
dating website people are so flaky that if you call
and say I'm sick or whatever that oftentimes people wouldn't
believe that. It would just be like I don't I
just don't feel like going out of date anymore.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
I mean, in my opinion, a week constitution, you know,
like get it together. If you want to go on
a date, let's go on a date. Like just have
the energy of Okay, I'm having to deal with this obstacle.
I get over this and then let's try that again.
What am I going to do punish you?
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Because well, let me bring Marcy and I forgot to
mention that Marci is here. Yeah yeah, really, so what's
going on? You were sick? You were like visibly ill
on this date? Then you win anyway?
Speaker 2 (05:52):
Well yeah, and I can't believe that he's mad at
me because you know, I could have canceled right like
you guys said, I didn't want to. I didn't want
to do that to him. So then I went when
I was seeing like crap, which was like super hard,
Like you should be grateful.
Speaker 1 (06:07):
Why don't you just say I'm not well, because instead
you're like snotting all over this guy. And I don't
know that wasn't attractive to him. Plus, I mean, when
you're not feeling well, I don't know if you got
a cold or something. You know, it is just bright
red and I don't know. I mean, nobody wants to
go out, No one's at their best like that. It's
a first date. You're making a first impression.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Okay, we'll check it out. Okay, so I can only
look better like it's like I'm already sick, like I
could only look.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Better started from the bottom night we're here. Okay, so
you're saying, Ryn, if he liked you like that, then
he's gonna like you when you're you know, Cindy Cross, right,
you know.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
Like full glam like like oh my god, we do
he sees me with full glam or like or without makeup,
just without makeup is like a huge upgrade. Wow.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
Okay, so you hear that, Ron, So if you thought
she was okay, aside from the fact that she could
have gotten you sick and you could have been knocked
out for a week, aside from that, if you thought
she was good looking. I mean, this guy's a layman.
Speaker 3 (07:04):
I mean, it's pretty funny.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
I have to say.
Speaker 3 (07:06):
The stock is going up and down here. I mean,
I'll give her that's funny. I'll give her that. That's
that's that was that was funny, you know on this
date though, you know she went in to kiss me
as well.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Oh no, it's like SuperH Yeah, of course I kiss
people when I'm sick all the time.
Speaker 3 (07:25):
But but but you know, I don't know what's going
on in the mind. But it's like yes, you're in
a relationship for five.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Years and then you're like, I'm going on I'm.
Speaker 3 (07:40):
It's the first date though, you know, so like it's
impressions or something, you know, like, yeah, I'm a romantic.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
But yeah, I wanted to beat you right away.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
Okay, Well, but he would have appreciated some consideration, I guess,
and wanted to see you when you were at your best.
But I understand you didn't want to cancel because that
makes you look flaky and he may not have believed you.
But look, Ron, are you gonna get her another chance?
Let's say she's fully recovered by now, it's been at
least a week. She should be fine, no more germs,
all right, And.
Speaker 3 (08:07):
Look, look when you called me and you asked me
this question, my immediate reaction was like, what, how dare
I even be talking about this on our radio show?
No Way on Earth. I gotta tell you. She made
me laugh right now, and I might just have flip
(08:29):
flopped here.
Speaker 1 (08:30):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
Maybe I will go on a second date.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
Each other. I wouldn't expect you to say.
Speaker 3 (08:41):
I really wasn't, but she kind of got me there.
I mean, she made me laugh.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
We went from terrible judgment, could have gotten me sick, like,
have some consideration to She's kind of funny. He wants
to see the best man. I mean, you saw right
in her words, so I guess it can only get better.
Recording to old Marc. Okay, well I didn't see this
one's going all right. Well I'm curious.
Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah, I'm curious. That's okay, you know what I say,
Let's do it. I'm curious.
Speaker 1 (09:08):
I think our legal team wants Marsha to get swabbed
before you go out, just in case we'll forget this
out case she'd lift a telephone pole lately or something
light like I'm the thick one. Yes, all right, well,
good luck to you guys. She set up one another
day that I didn't think, what's gonna happen? And then
mot the best Okay,
