Speaker 1 (00:02):
Ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show.
Marshalls here, how you doing better? All right, well, welcome
to waiting by the phone, the whole cruise here, ready
to hear the story. You met Tina on Hinge, Then
what happens?
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Yeah, I went on Hinge.
Speaker 3 (00:20):
We fought back and forth a little bit, and then
we actually went out for pizza and yogurt.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
It was super fun, super casual.
Speaker 1 (00:28):
Weird pizza and yoga, so you got a little more
healthy on the yogurt tips. So I like his balance, and.
Speaker 2 (00:38):
I mean it was great, Like I definitely got the
feeling like there was potential in us dating, you know,
like we folks really hit it off. And I mean,
I will say the only thing. I went in to
kiss her at the end, and she gave me the cheek.
But I mean, you know, it's not that big of
a deal. Some girls just don't hit from the first stade.
Speaker 1 (00:58):
Yeah, so yeah, yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:00):
So I texted her, you know, want to meet up again,
and she just gusted me. I haven't heard from.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
Her, okay, So you get you get this sort of
you know, turn for the cheek, so you get the
cheek kiss and now she's ghosting you, but otherwise you
thought everything was pretty good and you were hoping to
hear from her or if nothing else. You know, people
talk about this all the time. It's like, well, they
don't know you, they don't have to go out with
you again. You know, you go on one date, No
one owes you another date. No, but I suppose you know,
sometimes it's nice to know, if someone's willing to tell you,
(01:29):
it's nice to know what happened and why it didn't
work out. So you can kind of close that chapter
right absolutely, all right, Well, let's see what's going on.
We're gonna call Tina. You'll be on the phone. We'll
see what she'll tell us at some point, definitely coming
on the call and hopefully we can straighten this out
and if so, we'll set you guys up on another
date that we pay for.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
Okay, awesome, thank you.
Speaker 1 (01:47):
Can you hang on for a second, Yes, let's see
what's up? Part two of waiting by the phone. Right
after Billy Eyelace back in two minutes, it's the frend Show.
Billy Eyelas. The French show is on commercial free for
the next forty minutes. You don't have to go Anywhere,
Part two. Wait a minute, I phone Marshall. Welcome back.
Let's call Tina. You met on Hinge, went on a date.
(02:08):
You thought everything went great, you felt good about it,
but she's ghosting you. Now you've reached out to try
and schedule another date. She's not responding. You want to
know why. Let's call her now? Good luck? Hi is
(02:28):
this Tina?
Speaker 3 (02:30):
Tina?
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Good morning Fred from The Fred's Show, Jason Ruvio, Paulina Klin,
everybody's here. I have to tell you that we are
on the radio right now, and I need your permission
to continue with the call. Said okay if we keep talking.
Oh ok, I know it's weird and we appreciate you
for taking the time, but I'll get right to it.
We're calling on behalf of a guy named Marshall who
reached out to us. Apparently you met him on Hinge
(02:51):
and you guys went out on a date.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Yeah, yeah, we did.
Speaker 1 (02:57):
Okay, So yeah, what happened? Because I think he was
hoping to here for I know he was hoping to
here from you again and go on another date. And
you're not responding, So what's the deal.
Speaker 4 (03:09):
That's weird? Yeah? Well we did. We we went on
a date. I was really looking forward to it, and
everything seemed pretty cool, like I was excited for like
pizza and troio, you know, but there's there's just there
was just some stuff that parceled it that was definitely.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
A turn off for me, Like what what did he do?
Speaker 4 (03:32):
Okay, so we went to this pizza place and then
he suggested that we share a pop, which is which
is fine. It was self serve and and I thought
it was like a very lady in the trap kind
of way.
Speaker 1 (03:44):
Okay, so you get a pizza but only on drink.
Speaker 4 (03:48):
Yeah, it was Yeah, that was kind of weird. But
I was like, oh, this is romantic, you know. It's
that was very logical, but so not that. Yeah, romance
took over and I was like, well, maybe this is
kind of cute, but it was weird. But then we
finished eating and as we were leaving, he just takes
(04:09):
like a bunch of parmige on cheese packets and just
stuffs them in his pocket.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Oh all right, so we saved a little bit on
the drink and now we get some parmesan to take
home with us. Okay, Yeah, it was.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Very weird and I was like Okay, that's strange. And
then I asked him. I was like, well, what's going
on and he's like, oh, this is from my house.
I take it from my house. Why buy it when
you can get it for free? Right? And I was like,
this is not okay, So that's nothing wrong with that.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
Yeah, I don't know if that's a everyone has that
in their bridge. That's a first day move you, right,
if you order food to your home and a bunch
of stuff comes and you want to save some of
it in case, in case, for some reason, they don't
send it to you. One time, fine, but I mean
on a day taking his stuff home, I don't know
(04:59):
it or it was or more.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
No, there's there's one more. Well, we went to get
some frozen yogurt and one of those like self serve places,
and he asked for she kept asking for extra sample
cups for giant samples, and then left without buying anything.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
I just find that's so cheap, you know, like you
guys just had samples or did he buy you or.
Speaker 4 (05:22):
No, for himself, just for himself, just for a giant
samples that he asked for, and let's it, he just
like ate them all And he was like I'm ready
to go.
Speaker 1 (05:33):
Let me, let me bring Marshall into the car. I
forgot to mention that Marshall's here, and you've been very
patient throughout this martial. I mean, look, I'm all about
saving money where you can, but on a I don't know.
I mean, there's a few sort of tact tissues here.
But also do you really want to to to sort
of don't you want to spoil somebody on a first date?
Speaker 2 (05:54):
Yeah, cool, I'm being economical.
Speaker 1 (05:57):
Well, yes you are. I mean there's no real doubt
about it. He's a very frugal person. Yeah, But I
mean you want to spoil somebody on a day you
want to make it feel special, and samples and and
sharing a drink is not special.
Speaker 2 (06:08):
Well I get that. But at the same time, like
I want wealth, like that's a priority for me in
my life. And in order to have money, you can't
spend money.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Yeah that's very true.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
I mean that is true. But aren't there sometimes when
you splurge, like when you're trying to impress someone, when
you're trying to make a good impression and get them
to I don't go out with you again, maybe marry you.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
I mean I guess, but that's the big quality in
my life, and I don't like I would want my
partner to know that.
Speaker 2 (06:36):
And in a way, that was me showing that that
I'm being fund.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Well, isn't okay? How about this? Isn't taking someone on
nice dates and showing them a good time. Isn't that
investing in your future? Huh? You think of how much
you could say if you marry this girl and she
moves in pays half the rent? How about that?
Speaker 3 (06:57):
I mean that that is a good point, Peter. I
don't want you to think that that I'm this like faster.
I'm not like I just.
Speaker 4 (07:06):
Think I mean, that's fine, Well we're out together. At
least pay for your hat, you know what I mean.
It's it's a little weird when you're trying to skimp
over just to share a pop.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
It's just it, you know, I mean, I understand, Okay,
all right?
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Well, look, would you let me ask you this, uh,
you know, would you consider another day with this guy
if maybe he I don't know, extends a little bit here,
gets you drink it last? I respect somebody who's trying
to save money. I just think there's a time in
a place I.
Speaker 4 (07:34):
Feel like if yeah, I mean, if he changes his
ways a little bit, if you change, like, listen, if
we compromise here and you find a leveled ground, and yeah.
Speaker 1 (07:45):
Wow, wow, you can have your second day at Costco
and get all the samples. Don't don't listen to him.
I don't know that.
Speaker 4 (07:53):
I mind on that one.
Speaker 1 (07:56):
You a hot dog and then the free drink comes
with it, so would get a drink? Yeah, everyone needs
theirs and their own utensil. Wow. Okay, so Marshall, you
getting another chance. We're by the way, we're paying for it.
So Jesus with Marshall. This is a great success.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
Yes truly.
Speaker 1 (08:20):
Okay, all right, well, good luck to you guys. Thank
you for your time and and I hope it works out.
