Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yeah, they talk better than they say. These are the
radio blogs on the Fred Show. It's like writing in
our diaries, except we say them aloud. We call them blogs. Rufio,
are you ready yes, because I want to hear about
your your sleep journey. Yes, the latest stop on the
sleep journey. And I promise this will be completely compelling,
(00:23):
entirely compelling. Go ahead and take it because we did
a reminder from the weekend. Are our family vacation that
we took to Madi l seor de Illinois is what
we call them. But right, Jason, is that we call
it aka Southern Illinois. But Ruvio fell asleep at any
(00:46):
moment there was a chance to fall asleep, even somewhere
there wasn't. And there's a reason why I take it away.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
Yes, thank you, dear blog. So about a month ago
I told you guys that I took a sleep test
at home, sleep test with a little watch and it
connects to your phone and you just sleep and then
the data gets sent to the doctor. And so yesterday
I had my appointment with that doctor and she was
telling me, you know, like she's telling me the numbers, like, oh,
if you have sleep apnea, it's like maybe five events
(01:19):
a night or whatever, you know, normal, and then like
then there's elevated, which is maybe like ten to fifteen times.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
The event would be like if you roll or briefe
essentially wake yourself up. Yes correct, you may or may
not know you've done it, yes, right, but it's affecting
your rem sleep, which means you're not getting as much
restless sleep. Right.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And she's like, you have severe sleep apnea because your
number was like fifty two.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
Oh my goodness. See I think I'm with you. I
need to do this. I think I'm with you.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
And so she's like, she was like, it's like a
question like what is your sleep sched like what's your
sleep schedule?
Speaker 1 (01:52):
How you sleep?
Speaker 2 (01:52):
And I was like, you know, honestly, I don't get
a lot of sleep at night. A I got a newborn,
but B I never really do get a lot of sleep.
He's like okay, And then like and and she's like
asking you, like if you're watching TV, do you get tired?
I was like yes, Like do you when you're just
sitting down and reading? I was like, Hey, I don't read,
but when I'm just sitting down, good time, Like I
can just I just fall asleep. And she's like, what
(02:13):
about when driving? I was like, I do get drowsy,
And there are sometimes when I'm waiting at a stop
light and you know, you end up closing your eyes.
The next thing you know, the traffic's moving.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
So I don't know, you'll in the car and stop
Like yes, dude, that's dangerous. Yeah, very right.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
So these are all bad things, right, and it's it's
all due to my sleeping head. Was like, it's like
you're when you're on your back, it's even worse and whatever.
And so she's like, you have to get a seatpap machine.
What the sleeping machine you know. Yeah, so that's where
we'll have the tubes and the air will be coming
in and the machine and so yeah, so that'll happen
(02:50):
in a couple of weeks. I'll get fitted for my
mask a few weeks so I will be starting to
sleep with a sleep pap machine. And I was like,
I was asking, like, how do you how do I
know if it's working? And she's like, the data it's
all digital now, like the sleep data gets sent to
her office and then they monitor it and then like
out in like a month or so, I'll have another
(03:10):
appointment with her and she'll let me know if it's working.
Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, you'll be just like my seventy six year old father. Hey, whatever,
whatever is going to work.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Because I even told about the weekend, I was just like,
this was the first time in a long time where
I got like more than eight hours of sleep at night.
But as soon as we were doing stuff, if there
was like we're in the van, I fell asleep. On
a boat, I fell asleep, right. I was like I
was run on the plane.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Even though I had all this sleep, I was still tired.
Speaker 2 (03:36):
So She's like, yeah, we got to get you on
this machine.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
So but the other thing is you go to bed
at like one and get up at four.
Speaker 3 (03:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:42):
I go to bed like eleven and weird, right if
that isn't going to work either.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
No.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I mean, I'm not currently a licensed posician, but I
feel pretty confident that going to bed at eleven and
getting up at four and then running around with newborns
and toddlers and whatever is not conducive to sleep either. No.
Speaker 2 (04:01):
But I feel like with the machine, I feel like
I will I don't know it, I'll actually be sleeping
even if you're nervous you.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Won't be getting laid. So there's that. Once you hook
into that thing, it's like it's a whole thing. Tubes
and wires.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
Yeah, like I don't know.
Speaker 1 (04:16):
I think I think they might.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
But then you gotta like, you gotta clean the tubes
and you gotta you know what I'm say, because it
all gets dirty.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
What what do you say?
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Because okay, have you guys met him on not enough sleep?
So if he gets enough sleep, this may go coming
here kicking the door open with his legs, sitting on
the table, like jumping on the deck. I've never met
arrested Rufio. I only know sleepy Rufio.
Speaker 1 (04:40):
Now that's a really good point. Yes, if we should
not be scared, If this is sleepy Rufio, we are
schoolking up more freendshell next
