our Olympic update. We only have a few days left
of the Olympic chas and so I'm sorry, but it
seems that your special segments are just that they come

(01:40):
and it goes.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah, when does an ex Olympics, Like forty years.

the gold medal for the gold medal in the gold
medal match, Sarah, Okay, I'm not okay.

Speaker 1 (02:31):
Isn't that okay for a couple of weeks. I'm not okay.

Speaker 3 (02:34):
They're gonna play Againt Brazil on Saturday, hopefully when a gold.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
That's exciting.

Speaker 3 (02:38):
So this guy may be my favorite last name of
any Olympian Cole Hawker.

Speaker 1 (02:42):
He was his last name. Hocker is his last hole
Hawker Hawker. Okay. He is a runner.

Speaker 3 (02:50):
He runs, and he won a gold yesterday in the
fifteen hundred m. He started out in fourth place and
then he ran all the way to the first.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
I saw it was pretty cool. Yeah he can run. Yeah,
and he said an Olympic record, and then that would
have been like me.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
If they were like, there's cold stone at the end
of this thing, I'd be like, what how you halfway through?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
So that you really just like put that's what you
did at the run that we watched you.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
No, that's what That's what Gideon told me. We were
about a quarter mile from the end. He was like, hey,
there's coldstone at the end, which there wasn't. But I
ran like the wind. I ran like lightning, Like I
ran so fast.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
You finished it. You left it all out on the field.
That's holly.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
I was exactly like this hawker guy. Yeah, I was
about to lose the race, but no, no, no, yeah, tell.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
You Gabby Thomas. She's a runner as well for US
the US she won the goal in the women's two
hundred m and then we also got third place Brittany Brown,
my sister, and then we also won the women's gold
for freestyle wrestling.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Whoa hell, Yeah that's fantastic.

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Yes, So tonight the undefeated US women's basketball team is
playing versus Nigeria, and we have men's skateboarding in good news.
With the metal count, we have the most gold medals.
We have finally started to beat China. We have twenty
four gold medals. They have twenty two and we have
eighty six all around medal, so we're number one all around.
And you can follow along all things Olympics in the

(04:13):
free iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 1 (04:14):
Nicehoow, excellent word.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
Kamala Harris has picked Minnesota Governor Tim Walls to be
her running mate. The sixty year old former high school
teacher and military vet, who is known as a progressive governor,
will join her in her quest to become the president.
And that's almost say about that, because if I say
one more word, then we'll dig deep into conspiracy theories

(04:37):
that I am. You know, Tim Walls lost grandfather, grandson
or something and nothing like that.

Speaker 1 (04:44):
So that's all.

Speaker 2 (04:44):
Those are your politics. That's that's your political news for
the day. Have you used the cash? Are you banned
from cash at Pauline or just then ven mo?

Speaker 1 (04:52):
Then mo just that one, Okay, Yeah, cash.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
School them no is what you call it? Yes, even
though it's then mon you call them no. If if
you cash app at all since twenty eighteen, you might
be eligible to receive part of a fifteen million dollars
settlement which the company has agreed to pay after being
accused of negligence following two data breaches.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
So how are you eligible?

Speaker 2 (05:13):
You may be asking for this money you have ben
or were a user of cash app or cash app investing,
your account was accessed without your permission, and you were
there were unauthorized or fraudulent withdrawals or transfers from your
account between August of twenty eighteen and August of twenty
twenty four, then you might be getting a piece of

(05:33):
that money. And a Virginia woman, this is a slow
news day, guys, is looking to break the Guinness World
Record for seeing the most live shows in a single week.
So this lady wants to set this record. It has
to be the most live music shows during a seven
day period. Her name is Janeapp. She's documenting her Guinness
World Record attempt on social media, having attended eighteen shows

(05:56):
as of last update. The performance includes a marine drum,
a mariachi band, and a concert by Steve Winwood. To
break the record, she has to see twenty more than
twenty one live performances, so she's at eighteen, so she's
got to go to at least three more. And it
sounds like it can be anything as long as it's musical.
So like Paulina could do a DJ set DJ era

(06:17):
that would count towards the world record.

Speaker 1 (06:19):
I suppose.

Speaker 2 (06:19):
Okay, so how do I sign up? Well, I don't
well know what Well, I don't know. That's a great question.
Reach out to Jeanette. I'm not going to try and
say her last name. What is the most number of
concerts or music related items? And like Lotapalooz accounts as one,
I don't know that you can say I don't know
because that's the case. Then this weekend a lot of
people broke the world record because you could very easily

(06:42):
see twenty one different acts in four days at Lallapalooza
if you wanted to, or Austin City Limits or whatever
you know, festival you go to. What's the most number
of unique musical events you've attended in a single week?
Which you say, I mean maybe two, maybe two three?
That would be ag Yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (07:02):
But Laala should count. I mean the distance between the stage.
You know, you're traveling, the hustle to get from stage
to stage. You really went to another city to get
to the bud Lights stay.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
It's a whole thing.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Yeah, that is true. Yeah, so technically he went from
the Loop to the South Loom. Rightly, that's a different city. Yeah, yeah,
well then I guess a lot of people already wrote
the record.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
Sorry Jeannette, Sorry girl. It's also purple Heart day to day.

Speaker 2 (07:27):
Shout out to my grandfather who has the purple heart
that my mother tried to wear as a brooch one
night because she thought it was pretty. Turns out that's
a real story too. And my mom first met my
dad and he was like, she of course went through
his jewelry box to see if there's anything of value
that she would want, because she likes to wear his style,
his watches and stuff like that. And in there was
a brooch and she said, looked like a brooch and

(07:49):
she said, but it's so pretty. I'd like to wear that.
And he said, well, that's a purple heart, and you can't.
So they had it framed so that mistake never occurred again.
But yeah, my mom tried to wear my father's purple heart,
which I suppose you could. I mean, she could a
tribute to him, couldn't she. Well, you don't, I don't know,
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (08:06):
I mean I would never fashion what you don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:10):
I don't think you could wear it as a fashion accessory,
and I'm sure that the regulation says that she couldn't
wear it in any form, but that I will say
that thing is in a box in a frame in
a closet somewhere like it's actually I think it's on display.
But the point is my grandfather got shot of an
airplane for that thing for real, and it never is
seen again.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
So I don't know, right, I think as long as
you're not.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
As long as she wasn't claiming she was the one
shot out of the airplane, which if you let my
mom talk long enough she might the story might evolve
into that because she never lets the truth get in
a way of a good story. But that's an excellent question.
Is anyone in the military able to confirm her to not.
I'm sure that you're not allowed to wear someone else's
purple heart, But as long as you're not saying that

(08:52):
you earned it and it's related and it's within your family,
then why should just sit in the box. What makes
you lea sad is when you see him at like
pawn shops and stuff. That means that somebody had to
pawn their own purple art, somebody else's purple heart.

Speaker 1 (09:05):
It's not good. That's crazy. I don't like that.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
But yeah, yeah, that dude got shot out of an
airplane and landed in the ocean and this is not
a joke, was rescued by a submarine. Wow.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
And he got a purple a old pin for that. Congratulations.

Speaker 2 (09:17):
Yeah, my mom tries to wear there's a fashion update
as a fashion item, like she's in Vogue or something.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
