Speaker 1 (00:01):
Caitlin's Entertainment Report. He's on the Fread Show.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Beyonce's dad says he's not very surprised that his daughter
received zero CMA nominations for her Cowboy Carter Country album
given her history with the award show. So Matthew says,
Beyonce had a really bad experience, which we've heard about,
while she was performing with the Dixie Chicks at the
Awards in twenty sixteen, and says she never even got
an apology from them. Now, and it wasn't the Dixie

(00:26):
Chicks or the Chicks, excuse me, I should clarify, it
was just her experience at the award show.

Speaker 1 (00:30):
She didn't feel welcome. She's spoken about that.

Speaker 2 (00:33):
She of course had one of the biggest country albums
of the year.

Speaker 1 (00:36):
But Matthew sees it like this.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
He said, there's more white people in America, and unfortunately
they don't vote based on ability and achievements.

Speaker 1 (00:43):
It's still sometimes a white and black thing. He said.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
He isn't calling the CMA voters racist, but he says
her snub speaks for itself, and I don't know how
she could have gotten snub from that now, Shaboozi, it
is worth, noting who is featured on her country album
is nominated for Best New Artist and Single of the
Year with a bar song. He also pointed out Matthew
did that the banjo actually comes from Africa, and thus

(01:06):
country music is a derivative of Africa. So he's standing
up for his daughter on that and she deserves to
be nominated.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
That album was a banger.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Orlando bloom enjoys a nice little view, perhaps a little
too much, as he was caught staring at Kim Kardashian's
famous booty and it was all on camera. So the
actor and his fiancee Katy Perry were attending Monday's Caring
Foundations Caring for Women dinner in New York. They were
photographed standing right near Kim Kardashian, so it was like
him next to Katie and Kim was right in front

(01:36):
of him in a white latex gown. It was hugging
all the right places, and unfortunately for Orlando, right when
they snapped a photo, his eyes trailed right down to
her booty and it is clear as day what he
was looking at. I feel like now he needs to
go home and clean dishes stem because he might be
in the doghouse for that one. But hey, I would
be looking to that's a famous booty right there.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
My eyes would be right or his were.

Speaker 2 (02:01):
And the Weekend announced his new single, Dancing in the Flames.

Speaker 1 (02:04):
It's gonna be out this Friday.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
The music video for the song will also be out Friday,
and was filmed with the new iPhone sixteen Pro in
cinematic slow motion.

Speaker 1 (02:12):
What are we giggling at? It's just I mean, of course,
it was like, how much did they pay him for this?

Speaker 2 (02:16):
A million dollars? Yeah, like he's yeah, he got all
the money. By the way, you can order the iPhone
sixteen Pro on Friday as well.

Speaker 1 (02:24):
So they're in cahoots, are in bed together.

Speaker 2 (02:27):
The home button is back though, but Dancing in the
Flames is the lead single from his upcoming Hurry Up
Tomorrow album, which will be the final installment of his
After Hours and Dawn FM trilogy.

Speaker 3 (02:36):
Would you guys judge me if I got an Apple Watch.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
I used to have one.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Yeah, me too. Yeah, if there's not a stigma that
comes with it. I feel like some Apple Watch users
is like.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Yeah, I think people think they're lame, but I like it.

Speaker 3 (02:49):
They got it. They need you to know they have
an Apple Watch, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (02:53):
Like, I know, you know you could put like I
have Mickey Mouse and minding. There's Peanuts characters. Now you
can get what. Yeah, now it's cool, so happy on that,
So I gotta find it.

Speaker 3 (03:02):
My problem with the Apple I have, like one of
the first generations ones, is that it was so distracted. Yes,
like I couldn't wear it at work because I'm just
sitting here doing this and oh hey, I'm looking at
the thing the whole time. But you know, now, I'm
a runner, as you guys know, I'm a runner, and
I need something to like track my incredible feats of athleticism.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
Have you heard of the or a ring? My best
friend has that that might be better for you. It's
a ring that you wear really and it trucks everything.
I want that too, Maybe I'll do Chris has one
of them's. Oh all right, well he's getting that back.

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Think he owns the company.

Speaker 4 (03:36):
He probably has an Apple he probably he probably has
probably has an Apple watched four generations from now. Already
Tim Cook personally gave gave him or whatever he has

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
