Speaker 1 (00:01):
Yeah, they talk better than they say. These are the
radio blocks on the Fred Show. You know you got
another reason to listen to this show. I'm so lucky
to have you guys in my life.

Speaker 2 (00:12):
In my life because the amount of things I know
and can can comment on in my real life because
I listened to you talk about things that I would
never pay attention to. It's amazing. So I'm so grateful.
It's like my cliffs Notes of the world. You know,
is to be able to like housewives and Jojo Sea

(00:32):
and there's just a lot of things that I can't
possibly know at all, but because of you, I feel
like I do. It sounds like you're getting choked up
about it. It's just I am getting I am getting
choked up about it. I'm getting emotional. It doesn't happen
very often, but it's happening right now. I'm not as good.

(00:57):
I'm not as good of a thespian as ascalin As.
I'm sorry.

Speaker 3 (01:00):
I can't do it all right, guys, let's hit the introes.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
So I want to hear this is kind of a
joint blog because Caylen, once again, I'm leaning on you
for something I'm thinking about. A life decision that I
have to make. And you've already made this life decision
and you've come a long way with it. So let's
go ahead, Caylen, take it away, dear blog.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
So a lot of things are consuming my brain right now.
I'm moving, a lot going on, but mostly it's the
secret lives of Mormon wives in there in my brain
right now.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
It's pretty much all I think about.

Speaker 4 (01:36):
So the show is on Hulu and it's definitely giving,
like first season of a reality show back in the
early two thousands. Like it's shot in a way that's
not very produced, like the Housewives are.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
It's a lot going on.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Intern Bellhamine was trying to tell us about the soft
swinging that is where this comes from. It is about
a group of women who are Mormon and they started
this ill like TikTok account mom talk yes, and so
they all obviously are making money off of it, getting
brand deals.

Speaker 3 (02:08):
But then a scandal ensues.

Speaker 4 (02:09):
Okay, this one chick Taylor, kind of blows up the
fact that a lot of them are swingers and the
trade and partners. But it's soft swinging, so like you're
not supposed to go all the way essentially, So that
was the first scandal, and then this show picks up
after that scandal and kind of the drama that ensues
moving forward.

Speaker 3 (02:29):
It's very interesting.

Speaker 4 (02:30):
I'm very interested in the Mormon religion in general because
it seems like even the real Houssepleves of Salt Lake City,
it seems like they all have different rules for themselves
of like what they, you know, want to follow on
the church. So in one scene in this show, you know,
you're not supposed to drink alcohol if you're Mormon. A
dude busts out of flass and is like, you guys
want to.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
Take a shot?

Speaker 4 (02:49):
Like it was like a high school party, and like
the eyes that he was it was like he was like,
let's sacrifice a baby at this party.

Speaker 3 (02:55):
Like everyone was like, oh, broad alcohol.

Speaker 4 (02:57):
Like I don't know, I'm infatuated with this group of
moms and they're caddy and they're fighting and they're Mormon.

Speaker 2 (03:04):
They also get married not they I shouldn't say that
this is not an indictment on the morning. On this show,
they get married like seventeen and have like seventeen kids
before they're twenty two, correct, Like the youngest girl on
the show already has two kids. She got married when
she was like sixteen. I'm like, how is that legal?
Like I don't you can't drink caffeine, but you can
get married with you're sixteen, Like I am. I don't know.

(03:25):
I'm trying to watch it because I've heard so many
people talking about him. I'm in the second episode and
I'm not sure how much further I can go. I'm
not sure how. I don't have a lot of brain
cells left, but this is going to take what's remaining,
and I just don't know if this is how I
want to go out. It's a little bootleg Housewives for
me very much. And these girls are trying way too

(03:45):
hard to be famous, and not necessarily in the most
compelling way.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (03:51):
The sauce swinging was the hook, but now I have
to listen to them all be caddy like for an
hour at a time.

Speaker 4 (03:57):
Yeah, I think I spent a lot of time going
is this.

Speaker 3 (04:00):
It's really a good show? Or is it just consuming
my life?

Speaker 2 (04:03):
Exactly? I thought the same thing last I'm like, am
I watching this because everybody else is? Or am I
watching this because this is good? That one girl's a
train wreck? Taylor is a train wreck of a human being.

Speaker 4 (04:12):
I like that Taylor just keeps making like all these mistakes,
but she acts like she's like a victim of the mistake.
So she accidentally, I believe, fell in love with one
of the dudes that she was soft swinging with, not
her husband, so they got divorced. But then she met
this other guy right away, and they got pregnant right away,
So she's pregnant the whole season. But she's a wild girl,
and that Macy girl is jealous of her. Fred I

(04:32):
think the one with like the Bob, But yeah.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (04:37):
I do think Andy Cohen needs to swoop in and
buy it and kind of help them along.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
Yeah, the production value is extremely low. Uh oh really, yeah,
I expect I expect more. I expect more from my
reality TV. I really do right a production.

Speaker 4 (04:51):
Value, right, I mean season two, I think they'll they'll
have a rebrand, but I don't know.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
It's kind of all I'm thinking about at the moment.

Speaker 2 (04:58):
I gotta watch, Okay, so do I finish it or don't?
I is the class right now. I'm at a real
crossroads where I could never see another episode of it
again and probably be just fine.

Speaker 4 (05:08):
I think you finish it because I think season two
is gonna be that much better. But I understand your
gripes about it. I too, am fatigued over these Mormon wives.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
I have questions, like the one guy that the Taylor
girl's just pining over doesn't seem he doesn't seem like
much of a winner. And then and then the one
girl who's like her rival is he is he maybe
in the men?

Speaker 3 (05:33):
Yeah? So okay, so that was the other drama Macy's husband. Yes, yes, Fred.

Speaker 2 (05:38):
I'm a little confused about what his interests, where his
interests live.

Speaker 4 (05:43):
I'm confused about where his interests like, So then the
other girls like, Okay, Taylor, you had your swinging drama,
but my drama is that the entirety of my marriage.
My husband has been on dating apps and he has
a pueero addiction.

Speaker 2 (05:56):
Okay, yeah, I'd like a little more information on what
he was watching, right, Who was he matching with? I
just curious because we left that part out.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
I said to my boyfriend. I was like, no, he
was on Grinder, Honey, I don't know.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
I mean, yeah, I know, I know, but it's it's
all I think about, really, So I want you to finish,
but I got it.

Speaker 2 (06:14):
I kind of think if you're a even like a
even if you're like not a devout Mormon, like you're
just I mean, I think they're like any other religion.
I'm not picking on Mormons. Like every other religion. There's
you know, different layers. You've got like the devout and
then you've got the practicing. I believe it, but I
don't really necessarily do everything I'm supposed to do. And
then you've got these people or some of these people

(06:37):
who are not doing any of it. So I don't
even know why you call yourself a Mormon anymore, because
like you're very much not doing those you're drinking, you're having,
your teating, you're having. I mean, but I guess if
I'm any level of like decent, then I'm really upset
about this because it doesn't necessarily put my religion in
a very good light.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
Right, And I need you to keep watching to see
what happens to two of the women when they go
to Chippendale's or a girl's trip. Their husbands and boyfriends
are pisce. Meanwhile, the other husband was out gambling all night.
So I am confused, Like what is okay and what's
not and they're all different levels, which causes a lot
of drama, like some girls drink, some girls you know
and Caitlyn.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
How have they not all been excommunicated like it's on TV? Like,
how have they all not been asked to never come back?

Speaker 3 (07:21):
I don't know. I'm not sure.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
It's not even like it's a rumor like the bishop
can watch it on Hulu like everybody else and free,
you know. I mean, it's all right there, so I
guess I don't know why they're even maybe still around
it anymore.

Speaker 4 (07:35):
I mean one girl wears like garments like that you're
supposed to wear to remind you not to like do
anything bad, like on the Girls Chair, she forgot her
garments and was upset that she was going out without
like her guard.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
I know, I know, Giky, I know, I yes, But
then another one shows her who haw to everybody.

Speaker 3 (07:51):
Like what are we doing? What are we doing? Are
we on board? Are we not on board? Are we
are we? You know? Sister wives would never I think
they might, and I don't know.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
I don't know. For a guy who doesn't want to watch,
I really sold it pretty well, I think so, uh.
I want to watch watch the real what was it called.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
Secret Lives of Mormon Wives on Hulu.

Speaker 2 (08:14):
It's definitely. It definitely gives bootleg real housebos. That's what
it gives.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Come Andy, come help us because I need a season two.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
I think I think you're exactly right. I think that's
that's exactly who needs to save the show is Handy
Cooch And I'm not a Housewives guy, so I don't
know how I got it. It was the soft swinging
for me, it really was. That's what waiting on the phone,
Why does somebody get ghosted? Brand new? Next after the
weekend and two minutes Fred's show
