Speaker 1 (00:01):
Has ever been left waiting by the phone.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
It's the Fredshell Memesy.

Speaker 1 (00:07):
Good morning, welcome, Hi, thank you, thanks for being here
waiting by the phone. Of course, we're trying to figure
out why this guy Chad, who you met, he is
ghosting you now, So tell us how you met and
about any dates that you've been on and kind of
what's happening now.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Yeah, So I met Chad over Hinge and we've gone
out drinks a couple of times, and then I thought
it was kind of time to invite him over to
my house for dinner.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yes, yeah, So.

Speaker 3 (00:37):
I've been talking with him about how I got like
really into cooking over quarantine, something I used to do
with my mom and grandmother, but like I got really
into it during the pandemic. So we're the head of
the pandemic.

Speaker 2 (00:48):
And so I brought him over.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
I made like parts on crusted chicken, and to I
staked potatoes and asaragus and so, you know, that was
a pretty nice setup, and you know, I thought it
was really well, we mete out a little on the couch,
but that was kind of it. And then he's completely
disappeared since then, and I have no idea why, like

(01:10):
I thought it was, you know, petting in the right direction.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
That's pretty wild. You made all that food. I mean,
that's that's like really attractive. If I went over to
a woman's house, or if you went over to a
guy's house and and the menu and you've been practicing,
you probably it's probably like one of your favorite things
to make, right if you're trying to make an impression
on this guy.

Speaker 3 (01:27):
Yeah yeah, And like some of it's like family recipes
that like have been tapped down a bit, so it's
like been tweaked, and I know exactly what I'm doing,
pretty confident with it. So I was pretty I was
pretty frised.

Speaker 2 (01:38):
Like maybe it's not your taste.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
I'm like, is it the food? Is it?

Speaker 4 (01:41):
Me?

Speaker 1 (01:41):
Like you you know, that's like wasting a good outfit.
You know, you busted out the family recipe for this guy,
and now where'd you go? You know, it's disappeared. Yeah, okay,
so nothing like you have you reached out to him
or were you just waiting for him, which is okay?
But were you just waiting for him to reach out
to you to follow up and said something else?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Up?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
You know, I think I said him like a text
like the next day, like, hey, had a great time
and I just heard I haven't heard anything at all. Okay,
so you know I didn't really press it, but you know,
we went from kind of chatting guy regularly meeting up.
You know, we've met.

Speaker 4 (02:16):
Up a couple of times previously, and just nothing.

Speaker 1 (02:20):
So you all right, Well, let's call this guy Chad.
Of course his name is Chad. Let's see if we
can get him on the phone.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
It'd be more spiritable.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
I know, I know it's like having like Karen as
I feel bad for Karen's and Chad's. But let's call.
Let's see if he's a Chad. We'll call it and
we'll see if we can get him on the phone.
We'll ask some questions. You'll be on the phone as well.
You welcome to jump in after we get you some
info and hopefully we can straighten things out and set
you guys up on another date and pay for it.

Speaker 3 (02:46):
All right, all right, thank you so much.

Speaker 1 (02:48):
I'm gonna play one song and we'll come back and
do it. Hang on, ok, let's see what happens next.
Part two of Waiting met the phone after Miguel back
in two minutes on.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
The fread show. All it's on the Fread Show.

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Almost an hour commercial free by the way, glad you're here,
Hey Lindsay, all right, welcome back.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Let's call Chad.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
You guys went on a few dates, had him over
to your house, cooked for him, a little makeout session,
and he's coasting you.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Now.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
You sent him one text, but he hasn't called you.
He hasn't responded nothing, nothing. All right, well, let's call
him now and see what's going on.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
Good luck, thank you, Let's do it.

Speaker 4 (03:25):
Hey, this is Chadd.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Oh, hey, hey, this is Chad. It's like it's a
business called Hi Chad. My name is Fred from the
Fred Show, The whole cruise here. But I have to
tell you that we are on the radio and I
need your consent to continue with the calls. That okay
if we chat for a minute, I.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
Guess yes, Okay, that's a yes.

Speaker 1 (03:43):
So I don't want to take up too much of
your time, but we're calling on behalf of a woman
named Lindsay says that you guys went on a couple
of dates. Maybe the last one was at her house,
I think, and she cooked for you. Do you remember
this woman? Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:54):
I remember? Okay, so she called.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Us and said a lot of nice things about you,
that she liked you, wanted to impress you, and thought
that the dates were going well, and had you over
to the house and all this stuff, and says that
you're now ghosting. So we're trying to figure out on
her behalf what happened and why you're not responding to
her reaching out.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
To her at all.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
I mean, yeah, we went out a few times, we
met on Hinge. I mean it was good.

Speaker 2 (04:21):
It was good the first few times.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
I don't know. I mean, I don't really know who's
to blame. I don't I don't think it's anybody's fault.
I guess.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I mean, there has to be a reason what happened,
because I don't I mean, I suppose it could have
just faded. But there's got to be a reason that
stands out as to why you're not interested after all that.

Speaker 4 (04:43):
I mean, I guess she cooked me food.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
The food was good.

Speaker 4 (04:47):
I think my biggest oh yeah, I mean, okay, to
be honest, I think my biggest issue her She had
this dog, the dog, and Charlie was just so frigging misbehaved.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
The dog was terrible.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
I mean, she does absolutely nothing about it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Okay, what kind of dog was it. It's like a
big dog, little dog, yeah, the big dog.

Speaker 4 (05:14):
It's a big Great Dane.

Speaker 2 (05:15):
So she has a great name. It's reckless.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
I mean, this thing is like, uh, no manners, no training.
What was it doing that bothered you so much?

Speaker 2 (05:26):
Look?

Speaker 4 (05:26):
This dog is large, it's jumping, it's licking, it's barking
at one seat, frigging everything in the kitchen. I mean,
at one point it was on the counter eating the
food that she was cooking, right in front of me,
and she kind of goes, you know, like, no, don't
do that to him. But I mean also, you know,
she's saying this dog is like her kid, and she
feels bad denying him or you know, she doesn't want

(05:48):
to yell at him or discipline him. So it's it's
kind of unacceptable. And even later after we finished eating,
you know, we're on the couch, we put on some Netflix.
We're turning to chill, and you know, she has her
hand on me, and you know, I'm figuring this is
kind of my fine. So we start to try to
hook up. This dog starts blocking me and it's trying

(06:08):
to get in between.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
It's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (06:13):
You know, Like, what am I supposed to do here?
There's only so much I can do. So I start
to get up. You know, I just kind of figured
this is the end of the night. I'm kind of done.
I'm not gonna fight her for this dog, or I'm
not going to fight.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
The dog for her. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (06:27):
Yeah, So you know, I grab my coat and I
grab my shoes and I'm putting them on, and then
I'm noticing on the rug she's got pea stains everywhere.
I freaking even see a turd sitting over on the
side near the door. So she clearly doesn't clean up
after this dog.

Speaker 1 (06:42):
Okay, so you're thinking if I date this woman any further,
like this is my life, Like I'm gonna have.

Speaker 2 (06:47):
To deal with this, and and you.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
Don't want to totally out of hand, there's no way.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Yeah, and you're not trying to be the disciplined area
and nor is that really your place? I forgot to
mention that Lindsay is here, Lindsay, what's up with the
monster in your house?

Speaker 3 (07:00):
Like?

Speaker 2 (07:00):
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (07:01):
I love dogs, but I mean, if you had a
dog that big, it kind of has to behave.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
Oh wait, Charlie.

Speaker 3 (07:08):
Charlie gets pretty nervous around new people.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
And I don't think that Chad was making any.

Speaker 3 (07:15):
Effort to connect with him. So for him, there's a
stranger in our house, and okay.

Speaker 2 (07:24):
But that's worthing.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
But what not like the eating the food on the
counter and you know, sort of getting in the way
of your process and you're not really doing anything, and
then the pee and all that and the whatever, Like
what about all that?

Speaker 3 (07:37):
I mean, he just wanted to be up on the couch.
He just wanted to be on the couch. It wasn't
like he was trying to intentionally cock block him.

Speaker 4 (07:46):
He was literally right in between us, Like come on,
he was doing I mean with one hundred and forty
pound dog, one hundred and twenty five, I mean they're
huge dogs.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Like I feel like you've got to have some order
and what's this about? Like he's your kid, you can't
deny I am Like that kind of sounds like somebody
who doesn't want to have to discipline him.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
I mean, my dog is a rescue and you know,
he had a very hard life previously.

Speaker 4 (08:10):
So it has been like my goal to make him.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
Feel very safe in my home. I love that which
is and you know we're we're.

Speaker 3 (08:18):
Working on things still. It's not perfect, but to just
and also to see stains on my carpet.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
And just assume they're from Key, from you.

Speaker 4 (08:29):
But if I can, if I can just jump in
something you told me about bodily fluid.

Speaker 2 (08:36):
Okay, okay, yeah, what did you want to say?

Speaker 4 (08:42):
Ched, But Lindley, you had told me, you know, when
I first walked in, like we were talking about Charlie
because I was asking, I thought that I had bent
down and to gave, you know, to give him a
scratch behind the ears and to kind of make myself
a little bit more familiar. He told me that you
had him for three years, so I would have you.

Speaker 1 (09:00):
Know, that's kind of a long time for this behavior
to persist, honestly, Like, and you can see how somebody
who from the outside might be like, man, I don't know,
like this is a lot.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
Yeah, I mean to me, that's just.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Maybe maybe he was acting out because he.

Speaker 2 (09:13):
Didn't like Chad.

Speaker 1 (09:14):
Oh okay, maybe that was it. I've seen that happen before.
So Chad the dog isn't like you. But if you
thought that, Linda's if you thought he didn't like Chad truly,
then why are we even doing this? You don't think
that because you, we wouldn't be calling and trying to
figure out why he didn't call again.

Speaker 3 (09:31):
I mean, honestly, for me, it just comes down to
the fact that my dog and I are kids steal.

Speaker 4 (09:36):
Oh okay, and if he thinks he's.

Speaker 3 (09:38):
A dog or that I'm a parent, it obviously isn't
a match.

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Okay, there you go.

Speaker 1 (09:44):
Well, Chad, I appreciate you answering the phone and thanks
for your explanation and wish you the best. Lindsay wish
you the best as well.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
Thanks, thank you,
