Speaker 1 (00:00):
Fread show is on Fred's Fun Fact. Fred's Fun learn
so much. These texts are amazing. I wanted to be
a feminist growing up. Now I run a trip club.
That could be empowering for some you know. I wanted
to be a police officer, Now I'm an ex fellon.

(00:24):
I wanted to be a veterinarian. Now'm in media advertising.
Well you tried, you tried. So Today's fun Fact is
about nuclear codes. Okay, so the president and it's very complicated,
but the president has nuclear codes with him at all times,
and then he tells the code somebody else those codes

(00:44):
and then says, there's a whole processes because you can't
just get drunken and bomb somebody's house like you're asked.
Turns out, turns out you can't just be the president
and get drawnk and be like, you know what, make
them go away. Can't do it. However, there have been a
number of incidents with these nuclear codes over the years.
For example, President Jimmy Carter, who served in the White
House from nineteen seventy seven to nineteen eighty one, he

(01:07):
once left his codes in the pocket of a suit
jacket that was sent to the dry cleaners. Oh wow.
What Another story is that President Bill Clinton reportedly lost
his coaches for several months. They just didn't know where
they were. I guess it was a good thing that
he didn't need to blow anybody up because he wouldn't

(01:27):
have been able to. And then there are various stories
about other presidents claiming that they would use these codes
to retaliate against people and then they weren't able to.
But yeah, this is a lot of power that we're
giving somebody in two weeks, two weeks from today actually,
so I'm excited about it. More Fred Show Next
