Speaker 1 (00:03):
Never been left waiting by the phone.
Speaker 2 (00:06):
It's the Fred Show.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Hey Dave, welcome, good morning, Good morning. How are you
very well? Tell us about this date with Andrea. I
want to know how you guys met, about any days
that you guys have been on, and where things stand now.
Speaker 3 (00:18):
Yeah, yeah, so we met. I met Andrea on Plenty
of Fish and we went out for a drink day.
It went really well.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
She was so hot.
Speaker 3 (00:29):
I really enjoyed my time with her. She's beautiful, she
was smart, she's interesting, you know, the great conversations. The
date went on for a few hours. She seemed really
into it. We had several drinks like it read really well,
and we actually kissed at the end of the day,
(00:51):
and then before she left, we discussed seeing each other again.
But unfortunately I haven't heard from her. I haven't any
messages or calls or responses to my text, so I'm
not really sure where things went wrong. I got great
bogs from the from the date, and I thought it
went really.
Speaker 2 (01:11):
Well, but I haven't heard from her. Yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:14):
I mean that's tough, because that all sounds good to me.
I mean, you know, you meet somebody on an app
or a website or whatever, you know, you go on
a date, it might last two drinks tops. I mean,
that's if it doesn't go well one drink maybe, you know,
But this was a couple of drinks long date.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
You kissed.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
At the end, you talked about seeing each other again
except nothing.
Speaker 3 (01:33):
Yeah, right, yeah, and it seemed like she was so
interested in seeing me again.
Speaker 2 (01:37):
So yeah, I'm not sure. Okay, I don't really know
what happened.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
All right, Well, that's where we come in, Dave. We're
gonna call Andrea and we'll see if we can get
her on the phone for you, and we'll ask these questions.
And I don't want you to say anything right at first,
but at some point you're welcome to jump in on
the call and hopefully we can straighten this out and
set you guys up on another date and pay for that.
All right, great, thanks, I'm gonna play one song and
we'll come back and do it. Hang on, Okay, let's
find out what's going on, and impart to you of
waiting by the phone. After Joe next Fred Show's on.
(02:05):
Joe is on The Fred Show on the radio and
the iHeart app anytime search for The Fred Show on demand. Hey, Dave, Hey,
welcome back. Let's call Andrea. You guys met on Plenty
of Fish. You went on a date, you felt like
it was really successful. You talked about going out again,
except now you've reached out, she's not responding.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
She's ghosting you. You want to know why, right right? Yeah,
all right, let's call her now. Good luck? Dave?
Speaker 1 (02:36):
Hello, Hi isus Andrea? Yes, Andrea, good morning. Thanks for
answering Fred from the Fred Show. I have to tell
you the whole crew is here. We are on the
radio right now, and I wouldn't need your consent to
continue with the calls. It okay if we chat for
a couple of minutes.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
I'm sure.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
Well, thank you very much for calling on. Behalf of
a guy named Dave who you met on on Plenty
of Fish. Do you remember you went on a date
with him? Remember this guy?
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (03:01):
I do?
Speaker 2 (03:02):
Okay, So what's going on with that?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Because he reached out to us and told us about
what he thought was a successful date that you guys
went on, and he says he's been reaching out to
see you again and you're not responding.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
So what do you you know?
Speaker 1 (03:16):
He's trying to get us to help sort of put
this thing back together? What's going on?
Speaker 4 (03:20):
Listen. It's really nice. It's just that he's not really
the kind of guy that I can be serious with.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
What does that mean?
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Because again, you say he was nice, he says the
day the date went well, there was some chemistry. I mean,
what do you mean you can't be serious with him?
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Well, on our date, I mean he told me he
wanted to quit his job to pursue his true calling.
And I thought that was incredible. But then I found
out what his true calling was, and it wasn't becoming
a school teacher or draining the Peace Corps. He wanted
to become a professional tag athlete.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Even Yeah, like play tag like the kids.
Speaker 2 (03:59):
Game on the show. Yeah, I got that thing on
the show. Those dudes are athletic.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
Man, there is a thing. Uh So did he tell
you more about it? Because it's an actual things espn,
I've seen it before, yet, what did he tell you about?
Speaker 4 (04:15):
He told me that it was called like World Chase
Tag and he wanted to drop everything for it and
join a team to play professionally. And thought he was
kidding now at home and I gobbled it and I
found out he wasn't kidding. But I can't just go
home and tell my friends and family that I'm dating
the Lebron attack, which.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
It didn't turn you on? Like, he's gotta be pretty athletic.
That's like Parkour extreme you're on.
Speaker 1 (04:42):
I mean, I mean that's really stretching professional athletes. I mean,
that's really stretching. I'm not saying that I could do
it as well as they can, but I mean, so, okay,
does he have any history doing this? I mean, has
he made any money doing it? Is he already well
on his way? Does he have sponsorships? I mean, the
guy wants to quit his job to pursue this. I'm
sure he must have some kind of some kind of plan.
Speaker 4 (05:04):
No, just can quit his job and join the team.
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Hey, hey, Andrea, that's Dave by the way, and this
is Dave Dave. Is it like American Gladiators? You get
like like a nickname or somewhere do you go by?
Speaker 2 (05:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (05:17):
I can't believe that this is what you would not
answer me about. I mean, I told you can answer
to that Mark and world Chase tag.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
I mean, I don't know what is not attractive about
professional chase tag.
Speaker 2 (05:32):
I'm saying, do you this amount.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
Of athleticism, and it really takes a lot of focus.
And you know that I'm like in my absolute prime
condition performing at my highest level with Chase Tag. I mean,
I don't really know what there isn't to love about that.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Okay, all right, let me get this straight, Dan, So
you're in excellent shape. You're quitting, you know, your your
regular paying job to pursue this dream, which I love.
I love a guide aspirations. You know, you gotta love
that world. Chase Tag is the direction you're going in.
And if you haven't seen this, I actually have. It's
on yeah and right. They have like there's like balance
(06:16):
beams and obstacles and they put them in this like
ring or this like square box and they have to
they have to avoid each other for a certain period
of time. Now what's your plan to make money? Can
you make a lot of money doing this?
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (06:30):
You know when I book when I get booked for
like tournaments and stuff. I mean I could really be
making a lot of money. So again, like with the athleticism,
the shape I'm in and the amount of money that
I could bring into money, believe that I could get like,
you know, one thousand dollars per event?
Speaker 2 (06:49):
How many events you're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Once you make it big, like you could be, you know,
on multiple events a day. So like I just think
that it's uh not you.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Know, well you.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Yeah, I mean, look, this is interesting. I've I've this
is We've heard a lot of different aspirations over the
years on Waiting by the Phone pro wrestling. We've heard
people lie about being pro athletes before. I've never heard
this one.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
I'm not lying.
Speaker 3 (07:20):
I'm saying that, like, this could be the next you know,
this is the next big thing like that, Yes, professional
tag is the thing and there could be more money coming.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
Yes, So we don't even know what professional tag is.
It could be an Olympics sport one day, just like breakdancet,
the Olympics. Olympic tag would be.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
Epics Andrea, So you you're not here for a guy
whose aspiration seems a little uncertain, A lot of a
lot of a lot of unanswered questions here.
Speaker 4 (07:50):
I mean, yeah, listen, that's that's a thousand dollars. If
you're incredible, top of the game, one of the people
who are you know best inally.
Speaker 3 (08:01):
Play you know, you don't even know I am incredible
that's what I'm trying to tell you.
Speaker 1 (08:07):
So you went home, So that's what the ghosting was about.
You went home and looked this up and and sort
of figured out what it was. And you're like, no,
I'm not I'm not here for this journey with you.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (08:17):
I mean I had to do my due diligence, and
I went home and I researched in to people who
are incredible make about one thousand dollars a month. You
can't support a family on that. You can't even support
one person on that nowadays. And you're getting paid to
play a kid's game. So it's not something I can
(08:39):
take seriously.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Basketball as a kid's game.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Footballs of kids do, but those are established leagues and
they make a lot of money.
Speaker 2 (08:46):
They had to start somewhere. You know what I'm saying.
What this man, this man has a dream and he
is living it out. Okay, but it doesn't say that.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
It doesn't mean it has to be her dream though,
Like doesn't mean that she has to basically because you're
gonna have to this guy a thousand bucks a month.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
Yeah, don't put your day job to support your dreams.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Yeah, that's the thing I mean, Like, that's a great point, Pauline.
It would be one thing if Dave were like, I'm
gonna have to work a lot these days because I
have my job. I got to go to the gym
to train for World Chase Tag. Yes, and then I
gotta go do World Chase Tag all over the world
because it's world you have to Chase Tag. And sorry,
(09:24):
I may not be able to see you a lot,
but at least I can take care of myself. I mean,
that's one thing, but that's not what you're saying. You're
saying I'm putting it all on the line for World
Chase Tag.
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Yes, absolutely, I'm thinking of the traveling that we put
you together like that.
Speaker 3 (09:39):
Once I make it big and where these tournaments.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
Right, don't worry come with me. Don't worry about this one. Man.
The girls will be chasing you soon enough. Man, Yes,
you know they're there. They will be there. They won't
have to be running from these women no more. They'll
come to you, bro, Don't worry. You got it. This
is hitting really close though.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
I think Jess would leave you in two seconds. But anyway,
all right, Look, so no second date then, Andrea, Just
to be.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Clear, no second date.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
All right, Well, look, Dave, I do wish you well.
I mean, I really do appreciate a guy with dreams.
I don't know how sustainable this is, but I wish
you well, and uh, I hope that we'll see you
someday on NBC.
Speaker 3 (10:27):
Yeah, yeah, you will, and you will all be sorry.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Hey not me, not me, remember me, Dave?
Speaker 1 (10:33):
Remember ru Yeah, Rufie will be first in line autograph
for the Chase tag line at the Yes. All right,
thank you, guys, best to luck to both of you.
