Speaker 1 (00:00):
Joe's ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Anna, good morning, Welcome, Hi guys, We're glad
you're here. It's waiting by the phone. Of course, we're
trying to figure out why you may have gotten ghosted
by this guy, Joey. So tell us how you guys met,
about any dates that you've been on, kind of what's

(00:21):
happening now, and then we'll try to figure out how
we can help.

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Okay, So we met through mutual coworkers and one of
those things where.

Speaker 3 (00:30):
Like my coworker said he would be a good fit
for me, and he knew him through like visual friends,
and you know, just everybody.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Thought we would get along. And to be honest, I'm
so good the dating apps that I was.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
Like, yeah, give it a go.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
And so we emailed.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
First and then we talked on the phone, and then
eventually we met up and I got to be honest,
like he was.

Speaker 3 (00:53):
Better looking than I thought you would be, which is.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
Great, and he seems you know, he said he was
attracted to me too, so like that seems good. And
our first date was drinks, and then our second date
was dinner and drinks and went back to my place
because it was in my neighborhood.

Speaker 4 (01:13):
Okay, really really good.

Speaker 2 (01:18):
Yeah, I can't believe what I'm saying this on the radio.

Speaker 3 (01:23):
But after that, totally ghost it. Like at first he
sent me a few.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
Like short replies to text and then just didacting and
I thought it went really well, and I really don't.

Speaker 5 (01:33):
Know what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
I usually like the friend hookup thing because when you're
on the apps, it's a total wild card, right. You
have no idea who you're dealing with, if you're even
dealing with the person in the pictures, or what they are,
who they say they are, whatever, You don't know. But
when a friend knows you and then knows somebody else
and says these guys might work, I mean that's I
think your odds are better from the start, and it
sounds like they were at least for two days.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
I felt like we really hit it off and like
we had a lot in comment and it just seemed
like a good fit. So I don't know what happened.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
All right, So you've reached out to this guy what
a couple of times or have you just been waiting
for him to call you and he hasn't.

Speaker 2 (02:09):
No, I texted him like I guess the next day,
being like, hey, I had a good time and he
was kind of like yeah, And then I guess like
I waited like a week and I was like, do
you want to hang out again? And he that was
it like nothing, just silent. So it's like I'm alive here,
he responded.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
But then it was like, well that's that's a good please.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah, we're glad that he's alive. Let's call Joey. We're
gonna ask these questions. You'll be on the phone. I
don't want you to jump in it first. We'll try
and get some info for you. But then at some
point you're welcome to come in on a call and
hopefully whatever's going on, we can straighten it out and
set you guys up on a third date.

Speaker 4 (02:41):
That we pay for.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Cool, that'd be great.

Speaker 1 (02:43):
All I gotta play one song. Hang on, we'll come
back and do it. You have to hear what happens
next in part two, avoiding about the phone after Chaperone
back game two minutes. It's the frend Show, Chaperone, the
French Show. He is a good morning, thanks for waking
up with us. Hey Anna, Hey, all right, let's call Joey.
You guys, we were set up by some coworker friends whatever.
They thought you'd be a good match. You went out twice.

(03:05):
The second date back to your place. Things went really well,
but the communication has been kind of sparse since then,
and now he's completely ghosting and you want to know why.

Speaker 4 (03:14):
Yes, all right, let's call him now. Good luck, Anna?

Speaker 2 (03:16):
Okay, thanks?

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Hello?

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Is this Joey? Yeah, this is hi Joey. Good morning
Fred from the Friend Show.

Speaker 1 (03:32):
The whole crew is here and I'm sorry to bother,
but I do have to tell you that we are
on the radio right now, and I would need your
consent to continue with the calls. And okay, if we
ch o for a second, Yeah, yeah, sure, Okay, Well,
thank you so much. I don't want to take up
too much of your morning, but we're calling on behalf
of a woman named Anna, who I guess you were
set up with through some coworker friends or.

Speaker 4 (03:53):
Something like this.

Speaker 5 (03:54):
Yes, yes, I was.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Okay, Well, she reached out to us and kind of
gave us the backstory about how you guys met and
about a couple of dates that you've been on, and
she seems to really like you and feel like things
were going in the right direction, but says that you
have not been responsive since then, So can you kind
of tell us what's going on and then we can
pass that along to her.

Speaker 5 (04:13):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I guess I can do that.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
Anna, she she was She was really cool. We had
a couple really great dates and and then on the
second date we went back to her place. And honestly,
just after that, I discovered some some hobbies and interests
that really just don't align with mine, and frankly, they
scare me so a.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Line with yours and they scare you. So hobbies and
interest So what what did you discover at her house
that that made you not want to see her again?

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Well, it turns out that she's got this huge five
foot female ball python in a huge ass tank in
her living room.

Speaker 4 (04:50):
Huh and yeah, kind of cool.

Speaker 5 (04:52):
Yeah, And I mean, if that's what you're into, go ahead.
But but you see not only that, but there's an
tank with the male python and apparently she breeds these
things as a hobby. Okay, yeah, so this this thing,
it was huge, had some beady eyes looking at me
all night where we were, you know, sitting down and.

Speaker 1 (05:15):
Wow, like five foot female python. And then so we
have the mail one too, and then she makes little
baby pythons with them. What else did you tell you
about this? I mean, obviously you're looking at them, but
did you I mean, did you say, like, whoa, what's
what's going on here?

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Python lover?

Speaker 1 (05:31):
No?

Speaker 5 (05:32):
I mean we were, we were like in the moment,
so like I see these things. I don't really ask
me questions because I'm just I'm trying to, you know,
have a good time that night. And uh, at one
point she brought it out of the tank and and
it was like baby talking and like you know, like nope,
but apparently she breeds them. Uh. Peyton Peyton was one

(05:52):
of the names.

Speaker 4 (05:53):
Oh then the python, Peyton the python. Well that's just adorable.

Speaker 5 (05:58):
Peyton the python. I think anyone was like Patrick or something.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (06:03):
She was like super baby talking these things.

Speaker 4 (06:05):
Oh.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
And then and then feeding time after we got done,
she was the freezer and pulled out a bunch of
like frozen mice.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Now yeah, I mean this time, but like frozen mice.

Speaker 5 (06:22):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1 (06:24):
Post four places, I don't know. Yeah, let me let me.
I forgot you mentioned that Anna is here. Let me
bring Anna in Peyton, the foot female python that eats
frozen mice.

Speaker 4 (06:37):
On the second day, Well, I can't.

Speaker 2 (06:39):
Believe you have an issue with Peyton and Paco.

Speaker 5 (06:45):
It was another piece.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
And they're loving and gentle, like they can't hurt you,
Like that's not a a dog.

Speaker 4 (06:57):
Do they people? Do they bite? Like did they ever
get mad? Did they get upset?

Speaker 5 (07:02):
Business?

Speaker 3 (07:03):
Not strong enough to kill anyone?

Speaker 2 (07:06):
And if they bite you just have to wash your
hands because of the venom. But like they can't hurt
all those of the mind, Like they can't hurt you.

Speaker 3 (07:11):
It's ridiculous, And they're rarely attack.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
Humans anyway, but they're not strong enough, like they're not
like zoo pythons. And I breathe them because like they
bring me so much joy and I want other people
to share that joy.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
Like it's really really business too.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
It's a fun side thing actually because people rarely appreciate
it because they're really.

Speaker 1 (07:32):
Good pythons, Like I have so many questions. They don't
get out and then they you said they rarely kill
or rarely attack humans, so they're pretty docile.

Speaker 4 (07:44):
Then rarely. I've always love.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
Dogs attacked humans also.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
Like oh boy, there's so much.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Prejudice against reptiles and snakes.

Speaker 3 (07:59):
Versus like fluffy little Juminis or whatever, what.

Speaker 1 (08:04):
The hell was it CHEWENI and I wouldn't get the
Chewini near Paco the pipe you like, get hungry.

Speaker 5 (08:12):
Was like in the middle of the night, snake gets
out of the cage, wraps its, you know, five body
around my neck and a living life out of me.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
Out of the cages. Like, you're ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (08:23):
That's not I got.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
To tate with me because of my pet.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
I mean, that's not forever, Maody.

Speaker 1 (08:28):
You gotta know, people do have and I'm not saying
it's fair, but people do have kind of there's a
stigma around snakes. I'm not a big snake guy. I'm
not a big like tarantula guy. You know, if you
had tarantulas, I don't love that. And you can try
and convince me that it won't kill me in my sleep,
but I don't really know.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Like Peyton and Paco, if you met them, you would
like them.

Speaker 3 (08:49):
Everybody likes someone they need them.

Speaker 5 (08:51):
Well, apparently, I'm sure they would love you to really sweet.

Speaker 4 (08:57):
Okay, So Joe, you can't get over this.

Speaker 1 (08:59):
We're not not moving past it, like even though you
liked I mean, but here's the other thing. You saw
the snakes and you still hoked up with her. So
I guess you were able to get over it for
that long, right, I.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
Mean, yeah, I was able to chill long enough to
mess around. But I can't go back. I can't. Like, sorry,
I'm Anna, You're you're like really nice and but if
that's like such a huge part of your life, I'm sorry.
I just I can't be with someone who raises living
creatures the size of my leg.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
All right, that's a no for you, Doug. All Right, look, Anna,
I'm sorry, it's not gonna work. This has never happened
to you before, Like you've never had a man.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
Uh see, No, people tend to be really into them
because they're like really like you think you would be
afraid of them, and then you need it when you gentle.

Speaker 5 (09:40):
And cool there.

Speaker 2 (09:40):
Yeah, I mean, I guess at least I know the answer,
but I'm I'm kind of surprised that.

Speaker 5 (09:46):
Like, well, you're such a worst about it.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
But I mean out to uh Peyton, im Paco and
shout out to the worst Joey and uh, I guess
I might be kind of a wors too. I'm not
sure that I wouldn't date you, but I would take
some getting used because I just don't know enough about
a five foot long.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
Be open to learning, right, like, be open to like
spending some time with them and getting to know them,
and then I think you'd be sprised.

Speaker 4 (10:11):
But whatever, All.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Right, fair enough, well guys, best of luck to both
of you, and thanks for your time.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Thank you, yeah, thanks guys.
