So we go, we begin dinner and everybody gets their
food and comes to the table, and my aunt was
like watching everybody as we were eating, and she just
started noticing that we were all on our phones, like
everybody was scrolling and kind of just you know, you
make a little conversation and go back to your phone.

Speaker 1 (01:26):
Whatever.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
This lady, okay, turn this dinner into a diddy party.

She went, yes, yes, yes, yes.

Speaker 2 (01:35):
She went around and collected everybody's phone. She said, give me, like,
give me your phone, give me your phone, get me
a phone. So we're all like, okay, maybe all right.
She's like, because you guys don't know how to disconnect,
you don't know how to socialize with one another. You
haven't seen each other all year, like you need to
spend time with each other. I'm like, good for her.
What So I'm like, okay, I'm thinking maybe she'll just

(01:56):
do this through dinner. No dinner's over, and she's like, okay,
what we're doing next, And everybody's like, we need our phones,
Like can we get She's like, no, you guys won't
get your phones till you leave. You know, you know me,

going through withdrawals, like from an addiction has right now,

(02:17):
where like I went from like, oh, she's so crazy,
like we're gonna get through dinner, and then it was
like reality set in that like I really have no
access to my phone.

Speaker 1 (02:26):
Then I got angry so disagreed.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
Yes, yes, yes, exception. The desperation set in. So then
me and my my brother we started running around the
house like trying to sneak around and figure out where

you're when you're mid coitas, Yeah, and on that one time.

Speaker 2 (03:12):
Yeah, but I'm like I don't know what to do
with myself, and it just it was eye open and like,
I don't know if that has ever happened to y'all,
but I can't.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
I can't do that good for you. Yeah, I thought
it was crazy. She had those plastic bags they have
with the concerts and stuff. Yeah, she really did. She
was not playing with us.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Yeah, we had to really we had a disconnected Thanksgiving.

Speaker 3 (03:36):
I admire her because, like I think, I do agree,
like it's really hard for us to disconnect. I mean,
obviously people are probably also worried about like emergencies and stuff,
but I admire it. I would be terrified to ask
people for their phones because of reactions like yours.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
So she's a g for that. Yeah, man, it was
because I was really concerned actually, because for about fifteen
minutes you were not streaming. I had no idea where
you were driving, what you were doing. I had no
idea what you were cooking or eating. I really didn't know.
And then I tried to contact you, but I wasn't
able to reach you. This was really terrible. But luckily

(04:13):
