Speaker 1 (00:02):
I've ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the
Fred Show. Have it, Good morning, Welcome to the program.
How are you very well? Devin's got a deep voice.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
Hi, Devin.

Speaker 1 (00:13):
Let's hear about this date that you went on with
Jackie is her name. We got to know kind of
all the background, how you met, about the date or dates,
and then where you guys stand right now?

Speaker 3 (00:25):
Okay, Well, I met Jackie actually on a dating app,
and we decided we're going to go out to dinner.
So we had like a dinner date and I really
liked her. We have such a good time or lacking,
and I don't know, out of nowhere, she just completely
ghosted me. And I'm just kind of confused because we
talked about, like during our date, going on another date,

(00:45):
and she said like she wanted to go. But then
when I cut out of contact her, so I don't
get any response.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Okay, I mean, I guess some people are forward enough
to say hey, I'm not interested, and some people might
kind of dodge it, you know, and say oh yeah,
yeah yeah, and then ghost you wish isn't cool, but
you know, who knows. But you look back on this
date and you feel like it all went great. I mean,
the communication was good. You know, weird topics. You didn't
bring up, like any kind of you know, crazy ass

(01:11):
political view or some sort of sado masochism that you're
into or like. I mean, just I don't mean we've
heard everything. We've heard everything on this thing. I mean honestly,
Like you look back and you say this was a
good date.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
There should be another day.

Speaker 3 (01:26):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, I those of my best behavior.
It's such a good time. Like there's nothing could have
been wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
Okay, you don't have a pet snake collection, you don't.
You didn't lie about your job. I mean, this is
everything went straightforward and on the up and up.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:42):
All right, Well let's I'm going to play one song.
We'll come back in a couple of minutes. We'll call Jackie.
You'll be on the phone. We'll ask some questions. At
some point you're welcome to jump in, and you know,
our hope is that we can straighten this out, figure
out what's going on, set you guys up on another date,
and pay for that one, which we never have to do,
so it'll be a very nice date if it happens.

Speaker 3 (01:59):
I'm good.

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Can you hang off for a second, going to be
right back.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
Okay, okay, let's see what's going on Part two of
waiting by the phone. We'll get to it next two
minutes away. Say right there, it's the Fred Show. It's Friday. Oh,
here's the Fred Show. Good morning, it's Friday. Thanks for
having us on the radio. On the iHeart app anytime
search for The Fred Show on demand, Devin, All right,
let's call Jackie. You guys met on a dating app.
You went on a date, you thought it went great,

(02:23):
good chemistry. You talked about a second date, except she's
not responding to you. You've reached out to her, called her,
texted or whatever to plan this state and she's nowhere
to be found.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
And you want to know why you're being ghosted. Let's
call her right now. Good luck?

Speaker 3 (02:42):
Hello?

Speaker 1 (02:43):
Hi is this Jackie? Yes, Hi, hey Jackie, good morning.
My name is Fred. The whole crew is here from
the Fred Show. I'm sorry to bother you, but I
do have to tell you that we are on the
radio right now. I would need your permission to continue
with the call. Is it okay if we talk for
a couple of minutes. Oh, okay, I know it's weird.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
I know.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
I don't know if you've heard this before, maybe not,
but we're calling on behalf of a guy named Devin
who says he met you on a dating app and
you guys recently went on a date.

Speaker 2 (03:13):
Devin.

Speaker 1 (03:13):
Yeah, okay, all right, Well, so what happened with this guy?
Because he called us sounds like a nice enough guy.
They usually do, but there's always something. Nonetheless, he said
that he thought the date went great, he likes you,
felt good chemistry. He says that you guys even talked
about going out again, and apparently now you're not responding
to him. So what's going on?

Speaker 3 (03:34):
Oh that's the story he's going with.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Oh okay, okay, that's the story. Then that's not all
of it.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
No, we did go on a date.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
I mean, he was nice and the date went well,
I thought, and I would have been happy to go
out with him again. But after our date, what he
didn't tell you is he texts me and asks me
if I would drag him to his colonoscopy.

Speaker 2 (04:01):
Oh whoa right?

Speaker 1 (04:05):
I mean, because they put you under for that, you know,
so you need someone to well, you need someone to
pick you up, I know. Yeah, so you're not gonna
drive right yeah, okay, wow, all right, So you've met
him once, one date, and yet he wants you to
to go, you know, help him out with a colonoscopy. Okay,
and you you think that you think that's a little intrusive.
It's a little too too much, too soon.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
Not just that he wanted to stay at my house
the night before because his appointment was like early or something,
so he wanted to stay at my house.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
Oh wait, but this person that I just met, But
there's a prep you offer that work.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
And I then take him to his Colonomoh whoa.

Speaker 1 (04:42):
Wha, wha what No, I've not had one yet, but
I from what I under Kalen, you have. From what
I understand. You know, they get you got to clean
yourself out before they go looking around in there with
the camera. So you gotta drink some potion or whatever,
and then you poop for like half a day, right,
long time?

Speaker 4 (05:00):
Oh yeah, like NonStop. I don't want someone some stranger
blowing up my bot.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
And he thought, and so he thought that was okay
to do it your house. So it's it's one thing
to ask someone to drive you to an appointment. That's
one thing. I mean that's one thing. It's a whole
different thing to say that you got to do the
prep and all that stuff. I mean, my I think
that's alone time. I think I need to be on
my own for that. Let me bring in Devon. I

(05:26):
forgot to mention the Devon is here. Dude. You were going,
You were comfortable going over to her house, doing what
you gotta do to get ready for this colonoscopy and
then having her drive you. Now, one part of you
is like, this isn't sexy.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I mean I had to get my medical procedure done.
I mean, I don't understand what the deal is. And
we had such a good time. I mean.

Speaker 1 (05:51):
That you wanted to Let me tell you when I'm
when I'm having a great time on a date, when
I'm thinking, is is this woman gonna let me crap
at her house?

Speaker 4 (05:58):
Right?

Speaker 2 (05:59):
Like exactly? It's real bad. I don't know if you've
had one before, but it's real bad.

Speaker 1 (06:03):
And I don't do you not have a friend or
like a like a mom or an aunt or like
an uncle or something? I hate, like, I hope you
do have all those things, but there's nobody else in
your life who you don't hope to have a romantic relationship,
you know, to do that for you.

Speaker 3 (06:17):
Nobody lives here in town, so it's like I need
needed to help. And she was very caring, very giving,
and she said she'd like to help people out, so
I figure that she might.

Speaker 2 (06:27):
Want to help you again.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Maybe, I mean, it's just it's no one now, it's
a stretch. No, maybe somebody would drive you. Maybe that's
a little weird too, but the let me come over
the day before and do the whole deal.

Speaker 2 (06:42):
No, no, no.

Speaker 3 (06:44):
We have a really really really good time though, like
you know, so three.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Times one think Kevin, you want to ruin it?

Speaker 3 (06:51):
That was our one. It's only a few moments to
fall in love, if I just hope.

Speaker 2 (06:56):
Like uh, and then a few moments to talk to me.

Speaker 3 (07:02):
Like a housewife and your mom all in one. Okay.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
I mean, I'm sorry you don't have anybody else to
do this for you, but I probably wouldn't ask somebody
to on the first date or at least for the Hey,
for our second date, I'm gonna pooh everywhere, and then
you're gonna drive me to Michael and oscopy, which which
good on you for, you know, being responsible and checking
on your uh your colon health, you know. But but

(07:26):
that might be something that you do privately.

Speaker 3 (07:30):
But the door would have been closed, I mean, not
like I would have been going to the bathroom.

Speaker 4 (07:34):
He would have a lot, Sam, it's loud, but he
would have closed the door.

Speaker 1 (07:40):
And you know, I bet he even would have ran
the sink, you know what I mean, what a guy?
You know, Yeah, that's thoughtful. You're gonna Oh, no, I
think it's it's a little personal for someone that you
don't know that well. And remember, you eventually want this
person to do other things with you, and they don't
even know you, and and now they're going to be

(08:00):
thinking about that. I just I don't know. I think
that was a misjudgment on your part. But okay, Jackie,
would you would you consider, you know, maybe give this
guy another chance? I mean, so it wasn't a good call.
I guess he thought he was falling in love. You
could be his soulmate, and if you'd driven him to
the klonoscopy, that would have confirmed it, I guess, which
which it probably would have. Yeah, will you give him

(08:22):
another shot? Though, Jackie?

Speaker 3 (08:24):
Uh No, I don't think so.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Okay, it was a reach it was too personal, it
was too much and okay, made you feel uncomfortable and
maybe maybe this guy's you know, moving at a different speed. Yeah, okay,
did everything go okay with the klonoscopy?

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I hope everything went well if it already happened?

Speaker 3 (08:41):
Yeah, I mean these are good?

Speaker 2 (08:44):
Oh good, good, glad to hear it. How was that prep? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (08:46):
And by the way, now that you've done the prep,
can you you really don't think that? Would that be
weird to do at someone else's house?

Speaker 3 (08:52):
I mean, in my opinion, it wasn't that bad.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
He was a lot, but yeah, it was ok Yeah,
where did you end up going at your house? You
go home? I don't need to know.

Speaker 3 (09:05):
Yeah, I got one of my neighbors that kind of
helped me.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
All a.

Speaker 2 (09:07):
Look, that's yeah, okay. Did are you in love with
them now?

Speaker 3 (09:13):
Too?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
All right?

Speaker 1 (09:14):
There are a lot I have a lot of questions,
but I'm not going to ask them because I really
don't want the answer to So Okay, guys, look, thank
you for your.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Time and I wish you both the best of all.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
