So the Super Bowl kicked off with a very powerful
message and also by honoring the victims of the New
Orleans terror attack and other tragedies that have shaken the
US in the last couple months, and it certainly seems
like there's been a lot.

Eagles and Chiefs players were on the field just moments
before kickoff when Saints Starr Cam Jordan and brought out
NOLA first responders from the terror attack to thank and
honor them for their service. The powerful tribute continued by
honoring victims of the DC plane crash, the Philly plane crash,
Hurricane Helene, and the devastating California wildfires.

Elsewhere during the Super.

Bowl, a protester was waiving a Palestinian flag during the
halftime show before getting tackled to the ground by security.

Now, this moment went down and I don't.

the flag and putting it on full display as he

And listen, you guys know I'm a Swifties so maybe
I'm biased, but I felt bad for her. The entire
stadium it seemed like was booing her. I mean, I'm
assuming it was Eagles fans. And then after the game,
Trump kind of doubled down and was like the only
person that had the worst time.

In the Chiefs was Taylor. She's just she was just
supporting her mawn so I was the girl, literally, I
don't know, she was just she was just there.

She had a very funny reaction to being booed too,
just with her little side.

I really loved those seeing Serena Williams, who of course,
was one of the surprise guests during the halftime show,
she tweeted, I love you Taylor Swift.

are strike a chord, but it's probably a minor and

she cannot stand Drake. They used to hook up and
Drake won't stop talking about hooking up with her.

But she's married, so.

That's a I was gonna say, like, what does your
husband think of that?

go I'm going to further troll this guy that I

I was genuinely worried about Drake, like I can't like

I'm worried about him.

I mean, it's like enough that there was a concert
bashing him. It's enough that there was an award show
bashing him. It's enough that the super Bowl was bashing him.
I mean that's a lot of that's a lot of crazy.

Worried about Ice Spice personally, why she's sat there. No,
that's a great thing. She sat there next to Taylor
and they never put her name up there. It was like,
there's Taylor Swift and it's like, I Spights, You're just
sitting there.

The Burden
The Burden is a documentary series that takes listeners into the hidden places where justice is done (and undone). It dives deep into the lives of heroes and villains. And it focuses a spotlight on those who triumph even when the odds are against them. Season 5 - The Burden: Death & Deceit in Alliance On April Fools Day 1999, 26-year-old Yvonne Layne was found murdered in her Alliance, Ohio home. David Thorne, her ex-boyfriend and father of one of her children, was instantly a suspect. Another young man admitted to the murder, and David breathed a sigh of relief, until the confessed murderer fingered David; “He paid me to do it.” David was sentenced to life without parole. Two decades later, Pulitzer winner and podcast host, Maggie Freleng (Bone Valley Season 3: Graves County, Wrongful Conviction, Suave) launched a “live” investigation into David's conviction alongside Jason Baldwin (himself wrongfully convicted as a member of the West Memphis Three). Award-winning journalist Steve Fishman spent seven years to answer that question. This is the story of one man’s last chance to overturn his life sentence. He may prevail, but someone’s gotta pay.
