Speaker 1 (00:01):
Ever been left waiting by the phone. It's the Fred Show. Blake,
good morning, Welcome to the show.

Speaker 2 (00:08):
How are you. I'm doing all right, how are you doing?

Speaker 1 (00:11):
Doing okay? What's going on with this one? Samantha on
waiting by the phone? We got to know kind of
all the backstory, how you met, about any dates you've
been on, you know, what's happening now and why you
think maybe you're being ghosted.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Yeah, So we met on hinge and you know, we're
talking for a while, and you know, we decided to
go out. We met saying, you know, plans to go
for drinks and you know, it's a lot of fun.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
She likes traveling sports, so do I.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
And then you know, forty five minutes in, she says, hey,
let's let's go for somewhere more.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
Private and talk some more. Wow.

Speaker 1 (00:47):
You know, forty five man, it's the date she wants
to go home with you. I mean go home. It's
one thing we go hold differentthing. She wants to go
home you forty five minutes that's really good.

Speaker 3 (00:57):
I know, I know everything's going well. So I'm like, oh,
you know, let's go back to my condo. And she
was totally in and you know.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
You know, I'm thinking everything's good.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
So we we hang out there for a little minute,
you know, go back to my condo, hang out there,
and then you know, nothing happens and she just leaves
and then I never hear from her again, which I
don't get it. You know, I'm a good looking, fit guy.

Speaker 2 (01:23):
You know, I'm trying.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
To figure it out why she just you know, ghosted
me after saying she wanted to go back to my place,
and she's not returned my calls nothing, So I have
no idea what happened.

Speaker 1 (01:34):
That is interesting though, because you know, the day went
so well that you're one drink in and she's like,
you know what, let's skip the BS here and get
out of here, and she wants to go to your place.
You go to your place. I mean, I think everybody
would assume we know where this is going for her.
Then to leave after that very long and nothing happens,
It's like, well, what was it? Why were we in
such a hurry to do nothing?

Speaker 2 (01:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (01:54):
Yeah, I mean I thought it was going well, We're
getting along, everything's going good. I could tell she's into me.
She wants to go condo, Like yeah, yeah, let's do that.

Speaker 1 (02:03):
Yeah, I would say that was all. That would all
be pretty good except nothing happened. So and you haven't
heard from her since I assume no.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
It's right calling text in she just goes to me.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
She's not responding at all to me, and I just
at this point, I just want to know what happened.
What what'd she come over my condo for? If she
wasn't gonna do anything.

Speaker 1 (02:21):
That's a good question. And let's see if we can
get her on the phone. We're gonna call this woman,
Samantha who you went on a date with. We're gonna
see what she'll pick up for us. We're going to
ask the questions on your behalf. You'll be on the
phone at the same time. You're welcome to jump in
at some point once we get you some answers. But
the hope is that we can figure out what's going on,
what happened, where she's been while she's not responding U,
and set you guys up on another date, in this case,

(02:42):
a second date that we pay for.

Speaker 2 (02:43):
All right, Yeah, that'd be great, thank you. You've got
to hear what happens next.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
Part to you of waiting at the phone after Teddy
swims back in three minutes. It's the Fred Show, Teddy Swims.
It's the frend Show on the radio and the iHeart app.
You can listen live it any time. Search forward the
Fread Show on demand and make us a presept please,
Hey Blake, Yeah, all.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Right, let's call Samantha.

Speaker 1 (03:01):
You guys, you recently went out and you thought the
date went really well.

Speaker 2 (03:05):
You matched on the dating app.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
You guys, hung out, meant for a drink and you
had just said a minute ago that after forty five minutes,
so maybe one drink in She's like, you know, well,
let's get out of here. And you went back to
your condo and usually that would be a very good sign.
But she wasn't there long. She left, and you haven't
heard from her since. She hasn't responded to you. She
hasn't called you, answered your call, nothing.

Speaker 2 (03:27):
Nothing, nothing.

Speaker 3 (03:28):
She went from wanting to go back to my condo to.

Speaker 2 (03:32):
Leave it and never talking to me again. I don't
get it.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
Well, let's call this woman, Samantha, see if you can
figure out what's going on. Good luck, Thanks, Hello, Hi's
this Samantha.

Speaker 4 (03:49):
Samantha.

Speaker 1 (03:50):
Hey Samantha, good morning. My name is Fredam calling from
the Fred Show. I started to bother, but I do
have to tell you that we are on the radio
right now. I would need your permission to continue with
the call. Is it okay? I which averaged a second? Okay,
I know it's kind of strange, and I'm sorry to bother,
but I'm calling on behalf of a guy named Blake.

(04:10):
I guess you guys met on Hinge recently and went out.
Do you remember Blake?

Speaker 4 (04:14):
Yeah? I know Blake?

Speaker 2 (04:17):
Okay, So why the sigh?

Speaker 1 (04:19):
Because and I guess I'm not that surprised, but we
talked to Blake a second ago and he said that
you guys had matched and that he thought the date
went well, that you weren't on the date very long,
and that you went right back to his place and
then you weren't there very long and you left. So
I guess I'm not surprised by the sigh. But what's
your side of the story what happened? Because it was
all seeming to go well until it wasn't.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Okay Blake, Okay, Blake is hot, but he's also a
total clown.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
So okay, So.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
I first saw Blake, have to admit he's hot. In
his pictures and he was actually hotter in real life.
But I also love to admit that I'm kind of
new to dating because I had a pretty dot bakeup
not too long ago, and I did.

Speaker 6 (05:15):
Kind of want to get it on.

Speaker 4 (05:18):
Until we got to his house.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Okay, so you used Samantha, you see this guy Blake,
you med to them, then you see him in person,
You're like, this guy's better looking in person. Maybe been
a second since you've been with somebody, and you're like,
I need to just we needed let's just.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
Get to this.

Speaker 1 (05:31):
Let's be efficient about this, which a lot of people
we are not going to complain about. And so you stated, Blake,
let's go back to your place because that's what you
want to do, and there's nothing wrong with that. You're
grown ass woman, that's what you want and be empowered.
And so you go back there and here you are
ready to go. But then what happened next?

Speaker 4 (05:48):
Okay, So we went back to his house and he
made me a drink and then he proceeded to have
me seen on the couch while he showed me.

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Game film and game film.

Speaker 4 (06:03):
From what okay, it was from his high school quarterback days.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
So you know this man's house to get it on,
and he's like, let's have a drink, and so you're like, okay,
a good idea, you know what's warm it up a
little bit and then used it on the couch and
you're thinking he's gonna come over and whatever. Oh no, no,
he he wants to show you clips of him of
playing sports in high school.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
Oh it's worse than that. Let me tell you. Okay,
so he's having a protein shake.

Speaker 5 (06:35):
While I'm having a glass of wine.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
Yeah, and then and then let me tell you something.
Blake is thirty five. So all this like quarterback stuff
was like over fifteen years ago, but it was like
it was yesterday.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
For I'm telling you, for.

Speaker 4 (06:56):
Like almost an hour, I sat there and he went
through game fel play by play.

Speaker 2 (07:03):
Oh look at this one. Oh look you believe this
one that.

Speaker 1 (07:11):
You was there for one thing and then he wasted
your time. I mean, this man couldn't look at what
you missed out on. Instead, he wants his you know,
his glory days of high school.

Speaker 6 (07:22):
I mean she was sitting next to the future Hall
of Famer. You never know, Okay, no.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
High school would have been if you thirty five seventeen
years ago. I'm sorry if I go to someone's house
and there showing me stuff from seventeen years ago and
they're acting like that was the greatest time of their life,
But what has it.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
All been downhill since then?

Speaker 1 (07:41):
I mean, let me, Samantha, I'm sorry to interrupt you,
but Blake is here, the all star athlete here, Patrick
Mahomes Junior is here. Blake, why why why why are
we showing game film? Why are we you know, conversing
and being normal? Why are we drinking a protein shake?
But I wanted to know we're you know, we're so dating.
I'm wanting to know what she's you know, getting into

(08:03):
who she's with.

Speaker 2 (08:03):
You know.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
I mean, I'm a four star quarterback fruit out of
high school.

Speaker 2 (08:09):
I should have been five, but you know I was underrated.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
Everybody knew that, and uh, you know everyone like when
I go back to my high school, but she comes
with me. You know, I get autographs and people are like,
you know, saying I was going to be.

Speaker 1 (08:23):
Huge, you know going back to high school. I mean
that was seventeen years ago.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Oh every every year for games, every year, and I
go back to.

Speaker 2 (08:32):
Yeah, they know that I got screwed on a deal.
And you know, I'm proud. I'm proud of how good
I was.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
I was.

Speaker 2 (08:39):
I was good, and she, I mean.

Speaker 1 (08:40):
Seeing it, she should be impressed. I mean, wait, what
deal did you get screwed? Are you going to go
right to the NFL? Or what happened?

Speaker 2 (08:48):
I was going to go to a large team and
I was going to go to the NFL. Oh man,
it was was. I was going to be the next
She could have been with the next team Manning or Tom.

Speaker 3 (08:57):
Brady and and she can't see a general talent. And
that's what I wanted her to see, because if we're
getting together, I want her to know.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
What you know, but she has Okay, I'm going to
lean into this for a second. Why what stopped the process? Man?
I mean, everything was going so well until your senior year.
And please, by all means, tell me why it is
that that you didn't get all the way.

Speaker 3 (09:19):
It's crazy, and you know it's it's of course, me
with my bad luck and I you know, I've hurt
my ring finger and it.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Gets I get this mos fungus underneath, yeah like it
is yeah, yeah, no, And you know that doesn't matter
to hold the ball, but I heard my ring finger.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
And you know I can't throw the ball like I
once because you know I give one hundred and ten
percent and you know one finger out of there, that's
what ninety percent I'm only able to get.

Speaker 1 (09:43):
Oh yeah, I got totally through the fingers every time.
Everyone knows that.

Speaker 2 (09:47):
But you can't count either believe.

Speaker 1 (09:52):
Ring finger, the tragic ring finger injury with the focus
on top of that, that is absolutely horrible. So you
had you had a a college scholarship might take it
or and I'm say you weren't gonna be there long
because it was right to the NFL after that. Yeah,
but then the ring finger incident.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Yeah, I mean I was going I didn't even know
if I was going to go to college. I was
entertaining the idea of just going straight to the NFL,
Like why why don't I need to go to Pops?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Is what I know what I'm gonna be. I'm gonna
be an all star? Yeah of course.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
And so then does this work on women because you
didn't even she wasn't even in need of being impressed.
You understand that, like she didn't need to see this
like normally, I'm sure in your mind it was like,
I'm going to be more attractive to her if she
can see what a great athlete I was twenty years ago.
Not necessary, She's already admitted she went there just to
get it on.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
You actually ruined it.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
I just wanted to know, you know, I appreciated that
she's she's she was fun to talk to and she
likes sports.

Speaker 2 (10:47):
So I need her to appreciate me, to know what
she's about to.

Speaker 3 (10:51):
Do, who she's gonna be with, because I want to
appreciate it.

Speaker 2 (10:54):
You know, this is the big deal, and I wanted
to be like that thing. So she you know, tells
her friends and she's so.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
Be to be with somebody who could have you know,
what was going to be an NFL star if it
wasn't for the ring picker when he was back.

Speaker 1 (11:06):
When you go back for Friday night Lights, I mean,
this is she gonna be overwhelmed with your celebrity status.
And I know that's something you want to prepare women for.
I would assume Blake, Oh yeah, yeah, I.

Speaker 3 (11:16):
Mean because she comes up, she comes with me to
one of the games, and then she sees everybody running
up to me. They want to get my own wrap
about how it could be so big and she might
not get it, but you know, she sees.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
The videos of how good I am, right, and.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Then she gets it and she could talk to them
and be like, oh yeah, I know he's great, and
you know that is That's why I wanted to prepare.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Her for right and until the until the mail fungus
just the means it. Look, I uh, I think I
know the answer. But would you be interested in seeing
uh Blake again? I mean the guy was he was
on his way. Now he didn't it didn't work out, sadly,
but he was on his way.

Speaker 4 (11:55):
Oh yeah, I mean he literally talked himself out of
sleeping with me now and forever.

Speaker 2 (12:03):
I mean, it's so bad.

Speaker 4 (12:04):
I mean he's such a moron. I mean, come on,
like he could be Uncle Rico from Napoleon's mind.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
I can throw.

Speaker 4 (12:14):
Yeah, yes, that guy like I don't think so, I'm sorry,
I will say, do not call me. No second date.

Speaker 3 (12:22):
Oh she stopped on the tearling so I mean that's
all I dated was cheerleaders, So she was on the
teerling side. To get it, you get what this means.

Speaker 2 (12:30):
Yeah, it's unhurt man.

Speaker 1 (12:31):
Yeah, Samantha, if only you had been the captain of
the cheerleading squad, this would all make sense to you.

Speaker 4 (12:36):
Yeah, like fifteen years ago.

Speaker 2 (12:38):
And I don't think I care that much anyway, So
all right, well what what, poor Blake?

Speaker 6 (12:44):
I understand being proud of your accomplishments. Yeah, don't never
get in the car with somebody and try to like
accidentally play the Fresh Show on the man.

Speaker 2 (12:51):
Absolutely not down just me okay now, by the way,
yeah that's right now.

Speaker 1 (12:59):
No, but Blake, oh boy, all right, I think you're
living in the past a whole lot, man. But which
is which is too bad? Because what are you doing now?
I'm sure you're doing something great now.

Speaker 3 (13:09):
You know. I you know, I found some job to
job and you know, I you know right now, I'm
you know, I'm starting my own business that you know.

Speaker 2 (13:16):
So that's that's going to take it. That's going to
be huge. So you'll be hearing from me with that. Okay,
well good, well, hey.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Samantha, I guess I guess you're gonna miss out on that.
But Samantha not interested in another day. I just want
to be clear, not at all, not at all, Okay,
not gonna work out, hey, Blake, Man, I wish you
the best and Samantha, thank you for your time as well.

Speaker 2 (13:34):
Good luck out there, guys, thank you. I'm sorry about
the nail fungus. To man, it's real shame. Oh it's
gone now, it's gone. You know, if any girls are
out there, that's yeah, that's that's gone. That's no girl.
