Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yeah, they talk better than about it. These are the
radio blogs on The Fresh Show, like we're running in
our diaries, except we say them aloud. We call them blogs. Kiky,
take it away, dear blog.
Speaker 2 (00:13):
All right, this is a two partner. You already does it.
The first part is I, you know, I've been inspired
by Fred's new journey of being positive. So I'm trying
to change change how I look at things in life.
And it's really been working wonders for me for the
last week or so. So my new thing is to
(00:35):
look at things and say I get to versus I
have to. Okay, so instead of saying I have to
wake up at three am and come to work, No,
I get to wake up at three am and come
to work.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
I like that changes the way. Wait does that work?
Speaker 2 (00:51):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (00:52):
It works.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
It's like I get to do in versus I have
to you know what I'm saying. I love it, Like,
you know, I get to give a speech coming up,
you know, not versus I have to where I'm panicking
to have anxiety about it. No, I get to because
some people are not blessed with the same opportunities. Right,
we get to go to work, we get to wake
up we get to spend time with our family and.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
Children and dogs.
Speaker 2 (01:13):
And if you just look at things that way, I
feel like it helps you have a positive outlook versus
being tired and sad and worried and anxious.
Speaker 1 (01:23):
All those things are true. You're just tricking your mind.
But what is the speech you have to give? Oh?
Speaker 2 (01:28):
So I'm giving a speech at my high school's district
program that they do for all the honor students.
Speaker 1 (01:33):
Cool.
Speaker 2 (01:34):
So yeah, coming up, I'm going to be talking to
them about the futures, their futures, the brightness of their futures.
Speaker 1 (01:42):
Look at you. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:43):
So I'll tell them about all the things that they'll
get to do. They'll get to pay taxes and toes
and bills, and but you don't do any of that stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:53):
So I don't know what advice you're giving. I'm giving
them the advice that they get to. I mean, I
have to. Well, then you should get to pay the
tolls too, but you don't pay the tolls, and you should.
You should get to pay taxes, but you that's not
an invitation, that's a request, And.
Speaker 2 (02:09):
Do as I say, not as I do.
Speaker 1 (02:10):
Period, Thank you or flip it. Mike gets to pay
my bill.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
That's something to you. You look at him and say,
but you get to do any.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
People want to do this, but you get to a.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Lot of me this, but you get to So that
is my first part of this thing.
Speaker 1 (02:30):
Many men are viting to pay Jason Brown's bills, funding
them off with a stick.
Speaker 2 (02:38):
Every day.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
The stick that I got from the tree, that you
got to get for me in the house, that you
got to provide for me. Exactly. I heard this kind
of logic before, like the power of positive thinking and
all of that, you know, and you switching, switching things
in your head. It really works. So or are you
just being funny? Are you trying? I'm did serious.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I heard this from Pastor Hannah in Chicago, and it
has really changed how I feel about things like my
schedule sometimes because I'm a people pleaser and I over
commit to everything.
Speaker 1 (03:09):
Jason knows this.
Speaker 2 (03:11):
I will say yes to everything right and then when
the time comes like I'm like, oh, I gotta go
do this, and I gotta go do that, and I
gotta go do that, and I changed my mind, like no,
I get to I get to Filly in for Shelley
after this show. You know what I like I get
to do cool things and when it's just all about
how you look at things, and it really has helped me.
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Well, you can flip it the other way too, like
I do, which is I say no to everything, and
then I get to decide which of the things I
said no to that I actually want to do luxury.
Speaker 2 (03:38):
Yes, that's one way too, That's a great way.
Speaker 1 (03:41):
Actually, that's the other way. I get to tell everybody no,
and then I get to say, uh, all right, well
I'll do that and that, but not the rest of it.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
Yeah, I got a few more years to put in
so I get to that level. But for now I'm
gonna have to and I'm gonna get to you.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah, I probably I probably have a few more you
is kicking before before I should be doing this too.
But you know whatever, it's fine. I'm developing the attitude
that my mom has now in her in her age.
Then I won't say, but I'm developing she has kind
of a no craps given attitude, and I'm already developing
at a much younger age. So I probably need to
(04:18):
get to your way of thinking pretty quickly. A stay
or go group therapy next after the weekend in two minutes.
