Speaker 1 (00:00):
So I told her yesterday that NFL Hall of Famer
and ESPN broadcaster Shannon Sharp is facing a civil lawsuit
from a woman accusing him of sexual assault. Now, according
to Shannon's lawyer, the woman filed the suit without warning
while they were already in mediation talk.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
So this is interesting.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
He says that Shannon even offered her ten million dollars
already in a settlement for her silence, calling the suit
a shakedown and classic blackmail. Shannon has denied all of it,
claims the accuser is trying to capitalize on news of
his potential one hundred million dollar podcast deal for Club Shayshay.
The woman also released an alleged phone call with Shannon
and a text conversation with him over an alleged assault

(00:37):
from January of this year, where she writes, I.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
Don't care what our history is.

Speaker 1 (00:41):
No means no Shannon, and went on to tell him
I don't know how to process this. In response, he
asked if he could call her later. So that is
an interesting twist to this whole thing. Beyonce's mama, Tina Knowles,
was diagnosed with breast cancer after delaying a mammogram for
years and ladies, this is your reminder get your mammograms.
The American Cancer Society recommends women over fifty five get

(01:03):
one every two years, and Tina actually missed a routine
screening during the COVID pandemic and didn't reschedule the mammogram
until twenty twenty four. She then learned that she had
stage one cancer in her left breast. She later learned
that the cancer might have been stage zero, meaning no
spread beyond the original location, had she kept up with
her regular mammograms. Luckily, her cancer didn't spread to her

(01:26):
other breast and she has the or had rather the
cancer's tumor removed in August, and after suffering a serious
post surgical infection, she is now cancer free, which is amazing.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
She actually went to receive an award.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
A couple months ago and I heard Beyonce telling her, no,
you need to rest, and she was like, Nope, I'm
going to get my award.

Speaker 2 (01:46):
But thank goodness, she is cancer free and really quick.

Speaker 1 (01:49):
Joe Goldberg from You is back for the last time, y'all.
He is back for what they're calling an epic fifth
and final season where Joe returns to New York and
Joyce said happily ever after, until his perfect life is
threatened by his past, the ghosts of his past, and
his own dark desires. Producers always planned to end it
after season five. They like the idea of coming full circle.

(02:11):
And if you do watch this final season picks up
three years after Joe and Kate leave London. Season five
of You drops on Thursday at three am Eastern too Central,
so that is very random.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Twelve am Pacific.

Speaker 1 (02:27):
That is why on Netflix, so you can stream all
of the ten episodes from then, Joe.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Goldberth, because after season two you didn't.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Like the London season, But what I will say is
if you want to power through that, the ending is
kind of wild and I liked the ending, but we're
gonna be done after this, so no more you. By
