good morning, Welcome to the show. How are you?

Speaker 1 (00:40):
Hey? Good morning? What's going on?

Speaker 2 (00:42):
So? I want to hear what's going on with you
and this woman, Megan? How did you meet? Tell us
about any dates that you've been on, and then where
things are now?

Speaker 1 (00:48):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (00:49):
So we met at a bar watching football. I was
out with some of my friends and she was there
with a couple of her friends, and you know, we
all just kind of ended up mingling and watching football,
and you know, I thought she was very attractive, she
seemed cool.

Speaker 1 (01:02):
We both liked the same team. We both liked football.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
So after everyone got a little tipsy, you know, I
kind of worked up the courage to start talking to her.
And then before I left, I eventually got a number.
And since that point, like every single day for a week,
we were talking on the phone, we were texting, we
were having good conversation. So I invited her to my
place that following Sunday to hang out and you know,
watch some more football. And I thought we had a

great time. You know, we had fun, and she left
my place afterwards. You know, I didn't like come on
too strong. It was just a real casual hangout watching football.
But then I never heard from her again. So I'm
trying to figure out why.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
Okay, so you thought the day was great, you thought
the chemistry was good in the conversation was good. No
weird topics, no controversial topics. You don't have any weird
kind of statues or I don't know, you don't have
like seventeen roommates. I'm trying to think of all the
different things that could have gone wrong with well, yeah,
I mean, hopefully you voted, and I don't know. I mean,
I honestly, I don't know, did any of your family
come over and proposition or I mean, I don't know

any honestly, Like it was it was standard, really really honestly.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
It was My place was was in great condition. I
had just cleaned, you know, like the day before. It
was just real chill, you know. We watched football, we
had some lunch, and that was about it.

your plays had a really good time. And so you
can't figure out why you've reached out to her and
she won't call you back for another day. You thought
there'd be a second date, but you've texted, you've called whatever,

Hello. Hi is this Meghan? Yeah, Megan. Hi, my name
is Fred. I'm calling for the Fred Show, the morning
radio show, and I have to tell you that we
are on the radio right now and I would need
your permission to continue with the call. Can which have
for just a second, would you mind?

Speaker 3 (03:10):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (03:11):
Yeah, sure, Well, thank you very much. We're calling on
behalf of a guy who reached out to us. His
name is Caleb. I guess you guys met at a
bar and you hung out watching football recently. Do you
remember this guy, Caleb?

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I do, yes, I do remember him.

Speaker 2 (03:26):
So he called us, Megan, and he said nice things
about you, that he was attracted to you. He thought that,
you know, you guys had good chemistry, and he thought
the date was fun, but that he can't get a
hold of you since the date. He feels like he's
being ghosted. We had no trouble getting a hold of you.
So what's going on?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
Okay?

Speaker 4 (03:46):
Well, yeah, I mean it was fun at first. Yeah,
So we met at a bar watching football, and then
he ended up inviting me over his plays going out
and watch more football, which is fine.

Speaker 1 (04:00):
I like football, and we were having a.

Speaker 4 (04:03):
Good time, except he just like started taking apart these
NFL players, saying he could run circles around them. He
said he played football in high school.

Speaker 2 (04:15):
Well, the guy pulled like a telestrator or something. Was
he like Tony Romo?

Speaker 4 (04:18):
He okay, so he I don't know. I guess I
like questioned it a little bit, and he was like,
you don't believe me. And then he proceeded to make
me watch his game tape. No, no, put it right
on the big TV in the living am.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
You had to watch him play football. Yeah, I don't
even know how like ago could that had been. I
mean we're talking like ten twenty years ago. The guy,
I'm wow, let me bring I forgot too Matchannel. If
heard him make a noise there, But Caleb is on
the phone. I forgot to mention that I'm very forgetful.
I get distracted. Caleb is here, Caleb?

Speaker 1 (04:48):
What?

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Why? Why are we watching your game?

Speaker 1 (04:50):
Film?

Speaker 2 (04:51):
Is that the best time in your life? Where is
high school where you peaked?

Speaker 1 (04:54):
Man? Listen, I was really good. I wanted to show
her how good I was in high school. Like I
could still play. I could run circles around Joe Burrow
and Patrick Ball.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
You could well then why aren't you then? I mean,
is this Caleb Williams. We're talking to Williams.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
No, I had a little bit of a knee injury.
You know.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
He was. He was a total legend in high school
until until the knee injury. Oh not the tragic injury. Yes,
I'm serious. You know what, if you I'll send you
guys to take you. We don't have the ability, we
don't have TVs here.

Speaker 1 (05:29):
Wow.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
So, Megan, you're sitting there and this dude's like going,
he's like showing you the greatest time of his life
is him playing high school football? And you're thinking, why,
uh no, thanks.

Speaker 4 (05:40):
Like that's ridiculous and I don't want to watch this.
I mean, do you guys see what I mean?

Speaker 2 (05:46):
Though? Yeah, Caleb, have you accomplished anything since then? Or like,
is that truly the greatest time of your life?

Speaker 1 (05:52):
No?

Speaker 3 (05:52):
I mean, like I played flag football like every couple
of weeks, you know, first to pick up.

Speaker 1 (05:57):
But I'm I'm the captain, and you know.

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Everybody said, dude, you should have played for the NFL,
and I'm like, I know, I keep telling people.

Speaker 2 (06:03):
That we were just going to skip college and just
go right to the pros.

Speaker 1 (06:06):
Yeah, it was that good.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Absolutely, that's a real shame because and Patrick Mahomes is
listening now, and actually he just texted me and he
said to say thank you to you, Caleb for not
playing in the NFL so that he was able to
win multiple Super Bowls.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Okay, okay, he said thank you.

Speaker 2 (06:22):
In fact, Peyton Maddix, No, he's not, he's not. Yeah,
I doesn't have to be here. Have you done this before, Caleb?
Have you shown other women you know, how how incredible
you are. We're on the football field in high school
some ten, fifteen, twenty years ago.

Speaker 3 (06:36):
I mean, I don't know about other women, but I
mean all my friends have seen the table, you know.

Speaker 1 (06:40):
I mean, I mean she she was clearly in the football.
I thought it's something that she'd be interested in.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Lucky.

Speaker 1 (06:45):
Then did you put a jacket on?

Speaker 3 (06:47):
Yeah?

Do you have? Do you have a varsity jat?

Of course you do right now? Yeah, no, it's in
my closet, so me.

Yeah, why are we mean? I mean, nobody wants to
see his dude play high school football.

Speaker 1 (06:57):
He had some of the best years of his life
in high school. He's so proud about him.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
And that's wonderful. For him. But I don't think a
woman who is you know, coming over to hang out
needs to uh you know, watch his glory days.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
Well, he just wants to show like what he used
to be able to do, Like she needs to know
that she's with an almost legend.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
No, he can still do it, Kiki, get it right?
Oh well, I feel like that's an activity that you
might do later in a relationship if she wanted to
see it. I think if you're pulling out game tapes
on a first date to try and saying to people
including us, that you've been Patrick Mahomes at football, now,

(07:35):
that's wild proud. Okay, So let's give Caleb the benefit
of the doubt for just a second. Megan, would you
consider another date with this man? Let's say we don't
have to watch anymore. We've already seen the game film
so we know how great that he was.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Yeah, I'm good. I think the ego is a little
high with this one.

Speaker 1 (07:53):
Probably good on that.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
So it's not gonna work, Caleb. She's not interested in
another date. I look, I appreciate that you are are
a next one football player and that you you could
play pro today, and I encourage you to do that
I encourage you should go. Why don't you go on
the audition? Why don't you go try out? I've thought
about it, I think I may. Okay, well, we look
forward to that and uh, this is great. I can't
wait to watch you on TV and you know, but
