Speaker 1 (00:39):
Twenty eighth.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
City.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
And I've seen HR videos about this, Okay, this is Jason.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
He offered up his body as an experiment for his
straight colleague.
Speaker 1 (00:55):
Spread show is on?
Speaker 2 (00:57):
Then should ask us to write the scenarios? I think
if they asked us to write the HR scenarios for
the videos, people might actually watch them and.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
Learn Yeah, they'd be more entertaining That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (01:07):
And I know, maybe not supposed to be entertaining, but like,
come on, you know, kids learned from Sesame Street because
it's entertaining. They have bright, colorful characters and songs. One
of my little songs about what not to do at
work with people A story.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
That's what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
We're storytellers around here. It's Friday, August twenty nine. The
Brett Show is on. Hi Kalin, good morning, Hi Jason
Brod I, Paulina, Iikki Shelley is here. And yesterday was
the tie, right we had to do? The tie was
that day before you. I can't remember what day to
where am I tie with Emily? That was the equitable decision.
Seven hundred bucks is the price? Bellah, He means here
(01:40):
on the phone and the text eight five five five
three five, Jason, you're not supposed to be here. I
know she's supposed to be on vacation. You took a
day off, he went multiple days off. You asked for
permission to take the days off, which of course you
can do. And then and then you text me last
night like you did a couple of weeks ago on
another time that you asked take a day off that
(02:01):
you very much deserve as the hardest working person on
this show and in the world. And yet.
Speaker 1 (02:07):
What happened?
Speaker 2 (02:08):
You text me last night? Well, we're moving the trip
right a few hours, so I'll be in Yeah. And
what did I say to you, Jason?
Speaker 3 (02:14):
He said you need to sleep in and I said,
I'll sleep but I'm dead, Brad.
Speaker 2 (02:19):
Like, what is your aversion to like taking a moment
for yourself and not doing something for someone else?
Speaker 3 (02:24):
Maybe the underlying version that I should probably bring up
in therapy. Maybe I just don't really like myself. I
don't know, because it gives me anxiety to think, like, Okay, well,
the reason we push it is my guest to go
to work today he has to finish some stuff up
at the Gayage.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
I'm just gonna sit at home like and.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Do yes, yes, yes you are, yes, Yes, You're going
to do this thing called sleep. Or you're going to
close your eyes and you're not going to open them.
And then when you do open them, and normally you
would just jump out of bed and go do something
for someone instead, you're going to close them again.
Speaker 1 (02:54):
I don't know her. I don't know sleep.
Speaker 2 (02:57):
We're are you incapable of taking an unplanned like if
there's no activity, you just can't do it. Because I
that's my favorite kind of day off is the no
activity day off.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Yeah, I feel like I don't know, it's self inflicted
guilt because I'm like, I feel like if I take
a day off, it has to be for a reason,
like I have to have something to do.
Speaker 1 (03:15):
No, it doesn't, I get that.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
But like you already took the day, So maybe it's
like a fun you.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
Don't have to do anything. You can actually do it.
You could actually do nothing for once.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Yeah, yeah, no, just just sit like get paid.
Speaker 4 (03:31):
Kelly, I don't know, like sit by the coy pond,
write some emails, drink your coffee.
Speaker 5 (03:36):
No, take away the thing pad, like just for.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
The purpose.
Speaker 3 (03:40):
No, I don't have my emails though you love ye.
Speaker 5 (03:46):
Make fun of you one time, but like I clocked it,
like you love emails.
Speaker 1 (03:48):
I do love sending and reading emails to you guys.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
And I said, I said, you can come any day
you want. We love you, we love when you're here.
You should not come, you should not come, not do
not come. I should have said that. I should have
said that. I don't have the authority to fire you,
which surprises a lot of people. I didn't have the
authority to do much of anything around here, because we're
all even on the orchard, which is another thing that
apparently people wanted to dispute all year. But because they
(04:14):
know what the orchard is here, because they've seen it,
or they just read it in the comments on a
stupid post. But that that ruined six months of our lives.
But you, I don't have the authority to fire you. However,
I should have. I should have said that I would
I would have I would have put all my might
behind fire it upon your Oh my gosh, I don't
(04:36):
like hearing that contingent. Yeah, that's what I should have said.
I'm going to put all of my deft, all of
my weight. I'm gonna put everything I'm gonna I'm going
to hire people to stand in Salt Lake City in
the square and and and picket you. You guys, we're
trying to ramp it up in Salt Lake City. We
really need a controversy of some kind. Jason willsup coming to.
Speaker 5 (04:57):
Work exactly, restraining order too.
Speaker 4 (05:01):
Yes, exactly, Yes, that's what we have done so much
I'm sure that's what it is.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
I need you to take care of you. I really
do well. This weekend, I'm going to Okay, we're going away.
All right, Well, we're glad you're here. But if you
want to leave, you now you can go. This hour
headlights the biggest stories of the day, the entertainment of
Port blogs, waiting by the phone this morning, It's new
why did Somebody get ghosted? And the Friday Throwback dance party.
Of course, I hope you have a long weekend coming up,
(05:27):
which means that this should be a little less painful
to get up and get through the day. And if
you don't, I'm sorry that I just rubbed it in.
Jason will probably come to work on Labor Day because
it says Labor Day on the schedule, so labor must
labor on Labor Day. What's coming up in the Port k.
Speaker 5 (05:45):
A couple of things.
Speaker 4 (05:47):
So Sabrina Carpenter says her new album is not for
the Pearl Clutcher, someone is returning to the stage after
seven years, and Taylor Swift spotted for the first time
since getting engaged at the literal last place that I
would think I would see her.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
Okay, all right, and in honor of the vacation that
you're going to be taking starting today, you guys might
be onto something I read this morning in the New
York Post that most people now see. The headline is
you're probably packing too much underwear for your trips. That's
the headline, except what they tell you you're supposed to
do for me is still too much. It's still too
(06:23):
much underwear. But there's a travel expert name Amanda Parker.
She's the underwear lady. I guess you call her when
you I don't know where they're found this morning, did
you get I don't know where they found this lady,
but probably TikTok. But if you need to know how
much underwear to take on your trip, you call this woman,
Amanda Parker, and she'll tell you. She's from Netflights, and
she recommends a simple rule for packing underwear. Bring three
(06:46):
extra pair beyond the number of days that you are traveling,
which is still not enough for any of you in here,
and it's too much for me, so for a five
day trip, eight pair total.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
The extra pair act is a backup for.
Speaker 2 (06:57):
Unexpected situations, sweaty hikes and swims, or wanting to have
a fresh paper before you go to dinner. No word
of any other sort of calamities that you guys seem
to encounter all the time, in which I don't understand
how there's a regular occurrence of some of these things happening.
Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yes, it's not even a calamity.
Speaker 4 (07:13):
But like for women, like I don't want to wear
the same underwear all day long on a trip, especially
like if there's activities, if it's hot, I like, I
just don't so to a day minimum, to a day
minimum for me personally.
Speaker 5 (07:24):
I don't know if you like agree, But if I'm
in like.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
The heat of like Cancoon or something like, it might
be three or four hell yeah, like that's where we're at.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
But my attitude is if I'm if I'm in the
heat of canon does if I'm going if I'm celebrating
a hot summer nights, if I'm steamy, sultry senior frogs
in downtown, that's right.
Speaker 1 (07:54):
At that point, I don't wear anything.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
But no, I you're in a swim suit during the day,
so I don't wear onunderwear. You don't wear under Most
people don't wear underwear in a swimsuit because man, I'll
speak for men, they get most swimsuits have a little
meshi thing in there, so you wouldn't wear underwear, and
the meshy thing not necessary. So there's there's there's the
daytime underwear covered. So I really only need a pair
of underwear for night?
Speaker 5 (08:15):
What about to go to breakfast before you get in
your bathing suit?
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Maybe I'm free, Maybe maybe I'm free. I don't know.
I don't wear underwear. I think.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
I think if you're gone for if you're in hot
summer CanCon in the sultry summer sweet nights, if you
have like an endorsement deal for them that you're not
telling us about, but.
Speaker 5 (08:36):
I would love one if you're listening can Coon.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
But I'm not.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
If I'm there for a week, I'm not bringing fifteen
pair of underwear, Like I'm not.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
That's ridiculous. Really, really, you need them. I need the
entire drawer of underwear. All that I own goes in
a luggage. Now, I don't I don't change three four
times a day. I just need them there for security,
for my mental peace.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
So I am like, just yeah, for my sanity, I
need more underwear. I just don't know what you guys think,
it's gonna happen. Well, well, I sat myself.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I don't know what you think is gonna happen, but
it seems to happen regularly.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
Show is on Friend's Biggest Stories of the Day.
Speaker 2 (09:09):
We don't have the NFL this weekend, but we have
it next weekend. Right, we have NFL next weekend. Well, Jason,
I'm asking here.
Speaker 1 (09:18):
Let me look up NFL times. NFL times.
Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yeah, September fourth, NFL Opening Day, and that is the
Cowboys and the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
So we have that.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
Speaking of the Cowboys, if you're a sports fan, this
is wild. But they've agreed to trade all Pro pass
rusher Michaeh Parsons at the Green Bay Packers.
Speaker 1 (09:37):
This is what we all need to be doing around here.
Speaker 2 (09:38):
I'm sorry, but all you gotta do is mid contract,
just say you know what, I think I'm worth more
than that, and I'm just I'm gonna come to work,
but I'm not gonna talk until you pay me more.
Because that's what he did. That's what Michah Parsons did,
and they wouldn't pay him more. So finally they traded
him to a team that would and he's the best
player on the team.
Speaker 5 (09:58):
Oh, so he wouldn't play, He wouldn't know.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
He showed up and he put his little uniform on
for for uh, you know whatever.
Speaker 1 (10:05):
It's called training camp.
Speaker 2 (10:07):
And then he said, hey, you know what, I want
a renegotiation with my deal. I'd like more money now
because I'm really really good and you need me. And
so he stood there in his little uniform. He didn't play.
And this went on for weeks and weeks and weeks,
and finally they said, we're not gonna pay you. And
he was like, but they had to get something for
him because he's so valuable and I'm I'm over simplifying this,
but they said so. Finally, at the end, they traded
their best player to Arrival, who then paid him. Wow,
(10:33):
like this is what we got? What am I doing?
Speaker 5 (10:37):
Please? Right, I'm scaring. He's staring at it. Please don't
please don't.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Feel like I wouldn't have the same outcome. But I'm
here here with my arms cross. From here.
Speaker 5 (10:47):
I also couldn't not talk for five It's impossible.
Speaker 2 (10:52):
I'm not going to talk and then you keep talking. Yeah, yeah,
I'm just sitting here, just sitting here with my arms cruss.
I'm Mica Parsons.
Speaker 1 (11:00):
Don't trade. I don't want to go to any of
those places.
Speaker 5 (11:01):
Yeah, please don't come.
Speaker 1 (11:02):
Yeah, no, I prefer not too.
Speaker 2 (11:04):
But the Dallas Cowboys have agreed to trade all Pro
pass rusher Michah Parses at the Green Bay Packers. The
Packers are set to send two first round picks and
Pro Bowl defensive tackle Kenny Clark to the Cowboys in
exchange for Parsons. He also agreed to a four year,
one hundred and eighty eight million dollar contract with the Packers.
It includes one hundred and thirty six million guaranteed an
average salary of forty seven million dollars a year, making
(11:24):
parts as the highest paid non quarterback in NFL history.
Someone checking my brother in law, who is the only
palatable Cowboys fan? I know? He's the only Cowboys fan
that I actually I'm sorry, I haven't. Maybe you're out there,
maybe you're listening now, and you're a Cowboys fan that
I can tolerate. But I've yet to meet any other
one except for my brother in law.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
He's just a nice guy.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
Isn't Billy also a Cowboys fan?
Speaker 8 (11:44):
Well?
Speaker 5 (11:45):
I mean he's from Detroit, Yeah.
Speaker 2 (11:46):
But he's not. But he would cheer for the Lions
over there. I don't know, I shouldn't say that. Our
friend Billy the Kid does morning show in Dallas. Yeah,
I think he pretends to be a Cowboys fan because
he's lived there for twenty five years.
Speaker 1 (11:56):
But he's not.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Like he doesn't wear the death Star, you know. Yeah, yeah,
over his fedora.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Do you know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (12:01):
You know?
Speaker 1 (12:03):
Yeah, with his all black outfit and combat boots.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
He wears the Jacity uniform, except that there's a leather
jacket and sunglasses involved, which I think you should consider adding.
Speaker 1 (12:11):
I got a leather jacket, so then decided.
Speaker 2 (12:15):
I think in Vegas you need to wear a leather
jacket and sunglasses to deal with the celebrities. I want
the celebrities to have to deal with you.
Speaker 1 (12:22):
You know. Oh he looks important. Yeah, right, exactly.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
So this four year Pro Bowl selection, in two time
first team All Pro total fifty two sacks. He had
fifty two sacks over his first sixty three NFL starts.
The Packers will meet the Cowboys for Sunday Night Football
on September twenty eighth in Arlington, Texas on NBC. If
you want to watch that, Travis Kelce has voted the
second most annoying player in the NFL, and I'm sure
(12:50):
that hurts his feelings. I'm sure he really cares right
now as he has the number one jersey sales.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
In the league.
Speaker 5 (12:57):
How does that make sense?
Speaker 2 (12:59):
Well, because I think probably people who are buying Kelsey
jerseys have no idea what they're buying. You got to
think there's a percentage of tailor fans that are buying
Kelsey jerseys because well.
Speaker 5 (13:07):
I want his jersey with the name Swift of the association.
That's why you got to buy it now before they
change it.
Speaker 1 (13:12):
Oh yeah, I'm sure he's taking her name. Ye, yes,
I think so.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Kansas City Chiefs starred Travis Kelsey recently engaged in Taylor Swift.
If he didn't know that it was, it was. It
was overshadowed by Kekey's engagement. But it's been voted the
second most annoying NFL player by fans, right behind quarterback
Aaron Rodgers.
Speaker 1 (13:32):
This is from Action Network.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
If I seventeen percent of fans consider Kelsey irritating, particularly
rival fans from the Raiders or the Eagles.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Patrick Mahomes was third.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
Yeah, he's my vote.
Speaker 4 (13:43):
Yeah, I'm going so he sounds like Kermit, but like Growley.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
I can't do it. I can't. Yeah, it's more like that. Yeah,
it's more like that. Brody Dak Prescotte, Odell Beckham Junior
rounded out the top five. Cast prices are projected be
hit the lowest level since twenty twenty, which is good news.
According to gas Buddy, labor day gas prices average. They
average two twenty two a gallon in twenty twenty three,
sixteen and twenty twenty one, three seventy nine and twenty
(14:11):
twenty two three seventy seven and twenty right three twenty
nine and twenty twenty four three point fifteen. They're saying average,
not where everyone lives. I don't think Amazon's facing a
suit from users who bought movies on Prime but don't
own them. This is a misnomer. This is something that
I don't think people know. But Amazon is being sued
(14:32):
because it calls some digital movie rentals on Prime video purchases,
and that confuses customers. People are actually ranting the movies.
They don't own them permanently, but the labeling makes it
seem like they do. The lawsuit claims that it's misleading
and breaks consumer protection laws. Amazon hasn't commented yet. I
used to ask this question back when we had to
buy songs on like iTunes for ninety nine cents or
(14:52):
whatever you technically, my understanding was, and I only took
one law class one time, but my understanding was that
you were you were renting it for life, so you
could spend a million dollars on iTunes at the time,
on an ituneses library that you couldn't exactly pass on
to anyone. Now that's not just I don't know what
you would have done with it, because you know, eighty
years from now, I don't even know if you'll be
(15:13):
able to listen to songs that way. But in theory,
you were only renting them for your life. You didn't
own them the way you owned a CD. And I
think that was a problem that people had, was, well,
if I buy a vinyl, it's mine, it's property. I
could pass that on if I wanted to. It could
be worth something as where the songs are not. Now,
of course, you don't really have to buy songs because
you can streame them or you know, hear them on
the iHeart or whatever you want.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
But I guess in this case, it would.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Be more like I thought I bought the movie so
I could watch it a year from now, you know
what I mean? Like, Oh, I own it so I
can watch anytime I want, and then it goes away.
I guess is the issue that they have. So they
shouldn't probably call it a purchase, right. They should make
sure that it says rental unless you own it. And
Taco Bell rolled out AI voice ordering at over five
hundred locations last year, and now the chain is reconsidering
(15:58):
its use after fielding complaints about ches and delays. Not
to mention the occasional prank like someone who recently ordered
eighteen thousand cups of water. Even the execond charge at
Mitch's Experience has not been smooth. Taco Bell joins McDonald's
companies pulling back on Voice AI after big investment.
Speaker 1 (16:17):
I could have told you that was gonna happen.
Speaker 2 (16:19):
Yeah, National Chop suey day, another very specific day.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yeah, there you go. Kalin's entertainment report is on the Fread.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
Show, just like a day after Brooke Hogan said that
she can finally put questions surrounding her dad's death to rest.
Hul Cogan's widow sky Day is now planning to file
a medical mal practice lawsuit that focuses on complications from
a next surgery that he underwent in May. She thinks
that the surgery may have damaged a critical nerve that
I guess controls bleeding. She's spoken to professionals and thinks
(16:52):
that she has a case. While the findings have not
been released, her intention is to sue strongly suggests that
there some sort of mistake made. So I don't know,
there's a lot like going on, and it's sad that
they can't just scream and that it just can't be
put to rest. But a medical examiner's report indicated that
he died from a heart attack, but Clearwater police are
(17:13):
still conducting their own investigation into the circumstances of his death.
And remember those were the same that's the same police
who invited Brooken to see the bodycam, you know footage
the nine one one call all that and confirm that
there was an autopsy done. But I guess there are
still more questions a lass Sky and I think Brooks
said that her and Sky haven't been talking, so maybe
that's why they're.
Speaker 5 (17:35):
Kind of contradicting each other. Right now.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
All right, it's a hard right turn into Sabrina Carpenter
and her new album Man's Best Friend, because it is
out today and she certainly is continuing her evolution into
a more mature sound because you know, we kind of
watched her grow up and she has some bold lyrics
and a very confident delivery, which we love. And she said,
(18:00):
and she told Gail King this, which is my favorite part,
that it is not for the pearl clutters.
Speaker 9 (18:04):
How could I like about your music is that it's unapologetic.
And I think there are some people that would listen
to the music and they'd be clutching their part way.
Speaker 2 (18:11):
Uh, Gil King's never heard Sabrina Carpenter's music. That's that's
what a sixty five year old woman says about something
she's never heard.
Speaker 1 (18:17):
Unapologetic.
Speaker 5 (18:18):
Yeah, like come for you, sweetie, right.
Speaker 2 (18:20):
Like you've never heard it. Someone told you to say that.
That's just you can say about anything.
Speaker 5 (18:23):
I want a live reaction of her listening.
Speaker 1 (18:25):
I do too.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (18:28):
M oh, you sued to see my mom when she
finally heard the Bruno Mars song. Oh she was that
was not moms Bruno Mars. She was so disappointed in him.
Speaker 9 (18:35):
What I like about your music is that it's unapologetic,
and I think there are some people that would listen
to the music and they'd be clutching their pearls.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Correct. Yeah, But then I'm thinking, but then the song
isn't for you. It is not for the pearl clutures.
The album is not for any pear clutchures.
Speaker 10 (18:51):
No.
Speaker 5 (18:51):
But I also think that even pearl clutters care.
Speaker 11 (18:54):
To an album like that in their own solitude, yes,
and find some thing that makes them smart and chuckle
to themselves.
Speaker 5 (19:03):
Because it's sexual, it's also very powerful. It's also very vulnerable.
Speaker 11 (19:08):
I think that's the thing is sometimes people hear the
lyrics that are really bold and they go, I don't
want to sing this in front of other people.
Speaker 5 (19:14):
It's like it's almost too it's t m I. But
I think about being at a concert.
Speaker 11 (19:20):
With you know, however, many young women I see in
the front row that are screaming up the top of
their LUNs with their best friends, and you can go like, oh,
we can all like sigh of relief, like this is
just fun and and that's all it has to be.
Speaker 5 (19:34):
Do you know what else is sexual and powerful?
Speaker 4 (19:37):
The CanCon heat that's why I need.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Possible are what I needed more.
Speaker 4 (19:57):
We're playing some of it today, right, okay, all right,
well everybody hang out for that in case you missed it.
Ariana Grande, speaking of music, is returning to the stage
for her first tour in seven years, performing songs from
her twenty twenty four album Eternal Sunshine. The tour kicks
off in June of next year in Oakland, will visit
major US cities like.
Speaker 5 (20:17):
La New York, YadA, YadA.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
Since twenty nineteen, she has really been focusing on acting.
Of course, she was Glinda in Wicked, and she is
in the upcoming Meet the Fokkers. I don't know if
you can call it a sequel because there's been five
of them. But she also earned an Oscar nomination for
Best Supporting Actress for Wicked, So she is going. I
know a lot of her fans were very like alarmists
(20:39):
about like she never doing music again, so she will.
Have you have we ever seen an artist do like
a tour for such an old album.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
No, like a two it's gonna be two years old, Yeah,
over two years. I mean, will take it, but yeah,
I mean, I'm sure it'll be great. But maybe she'll
do like a wicked like, oh.
Speaker 12 (20:54):
No, you know.
Speaker 7 (20:58):
It's been too long, Get up there, performed, put that
ponytail back home, Swingy Jackson.
Speaker 5 (21:06):
And she's like, I don't care perform, come out here
with Appleba whatever my.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
Name is, football Alpha bo, whatever her name is.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
What if Cynthia Rivo comes out and she's on a
room Kiki and she's flying the stadium.
Speaker 5 (21:21):
For twos back home? I'm tired.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
I have to take my underwear off at that point,
dried up completely. I need some moisture, ld me down.
What Alphaba, what are you doing here? Speaking up dried
up problems or whatever she's talking about?
Speaker 1 (21:39):
But right, but this ain't one.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey made their first public appearance
as an engaged couple last night. And where did they
decide to go to celebrate a corn Huskers game? What
is happening?
Speaker 13 (21:52):
Taylor?
Speaker 4 (21:53):
My favorite part is I sent that to Jason and
he goes, what even.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
Sport is that?
Speaker 1 (21:57):
And I'm like, here are sports report Cincinnati? They were
playing That's where he went.
Speaker 4 (22:03):
Which is where Jason and Travis both went. They played
football there. But yes, the arrival of Nebraska Cornhuskers, and
that is where my girl was showing off her ring
for the first time.
Speaker 3 (22:12):
No corn Husker. Yeah, friend never asked me about that
team before. It's college, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
And you're South here a lot of fly and I'm
going to find a lot of people. But if you
think about it a little while, you'll know why.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
Oh oh is that the hat you got me? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (22:27):
Yeah, he has the march to game Cocks.
Speaker 10 (22:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (22:30):
You were the first one to say it exactly.
Speaker 4 (22:33):
If you're a new friend, you say I'm scared.
Speaker 1 (22:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (22:39):

you got engaged on Sunday. He told us about it
today and we just now learned. I learned about it
(23:31):
today when someone else told me. Yeah, someone else got
engaged as week Who cares? But A guy shared on
Reddit that he proposed to his girlfriend of three years
in a simple, intimate moment on their couch, which she
initially appreciated. However, after discussing the proposal with a little friends.
Speaker 5 (23:49):
Always a little friends?
Speaker 2 (23:50):
What a little friends getting involved in this? Getting in
her head? It's always the little friends, as Paulina would say,
they labeled it lazy and unromantic, leading her to question
its sincerity. She began to feel that it wasn't special enough,
which upset the guy, who felt hurt by her change
in perspective, which was influenced by other people. Commenters noted
(24:12):
that while the proposal was modest, the real issue seemed
to be a lack of communication between the two. The
situation I highlighted how external opinions can impact personal relationships
and the importance of mutual understanding and support. It happens
all the time. Oh yeah, I don't care if it's
at work or if it's at home. You go home,
someone tells you all you pumps you up with all
this stuff. They don't know what's really going on, right,
So they don't know what's going on in the fight.
They don't know what's going on in the thing. They
(24:34):
don't know anything. And then it's like, but you've only
heard one side of the story. You only know one thing.
You don't know what's really going on, and now you
just screwed up this thing.
Speaker 5 (24:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (24:43):
Would you?
Speaker 2 (24:44):
But honestly, would you have been disappointed after all this time,
after almost it was almost eight years, wasn't it.
Speaker 5 (24:50):
I'm seven, Okay.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
So you have been disappointed after all this time if
he hadn't gone over the top with the proposal.
Speaker 7 (24:57):
No, because honestly, if I'm being real, I thought that
would have been my proposal, like just because I know
my partner, so like I never thought he would have
been able to pull off what he pulled off. So
that's why I was so emotional. It's so shocked.
Speaker 5 (25:08):
I thought it.
Speaker 7 (25:08):
Would have been so like I was like, We're gonna
go to Beggar's Pizza one night and next thing you notice,
man gonna ask me to marry him in Beggars Like
I just thought that. That's what I thought so and
I would have been happy with that. Now you know
where my thing was. It needs to be a ring
that I like.
Speaker 2 (25:23):
Did you ask you at any point what you wanted
like the ring?
Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (25:26):
Yeah, so you've been You've been pump faking us the
whole time, Like there have been conversations about this happening.
Speaker 7 (25:32):
I've been pump faking you or was he pump thanking me?
It's seven years bro, We talked about this four years ago.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Okay. It wasn't like Paulina going, hey, what are you
into these days? Right right before your birthday?
Speaker 1 (25:46):
You know.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
So the last six months he hasn't been like, you know,
poking around with like sales catalogs and being like hey, no, no, no,
you ever been to a rasni like?
Speaker 1 (25:54):
Nothing like that.
Speaker 7 (25:55):
Absolutely not. This is four years ago when I was
about to break up with him or something. You know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 5 (25:59):
It's like, oh, let's talk about rings.
Speaker 7 (26:00):
Let's look like when you do that when you're in
a long relationship from time to time. So no, I'm
not pump faking. But the ring was more to me,
like I need to like it, you know, I've waited
this long. I need to be It's something that I
need to be proud of and want to wear. I
don't care. He could have proposed on the couch, He
could have proposed whatever. It's all about, like what you
say in that moment, and you got to know your partner,
(26:21):
But talking to your friends afterward, like what kind of
friends are those?
Speaker 5 (26:24):
They should be celebrating you.
Speaker 7 (26:26):
They should be happy for your relationship progressing, not trying
to downplay whatever he did to propose that I would
question the France.
Speaker 2 (26:32):
Speaking of ring, Shabby, I got roasted yesterday because we
have a jewelry partner, Rasney Jewelers, and I went to
one of the showrooms yesterday and Missus Rasney was there.
Missus rest Oh, I know, I know. She and Stan
we go way back. We go back and we did
an event.
Speaker 12 (26:47):
I know.
Speaker 2 (26:47):
Jason, obviously you worked here because you've worked to your
whole life. But we did an event like fourteen years
ago with them and I said, in a beautiful thing
and they got rings, you know, the bridal sected. The
whole thing is just diamonds everywhere. And I'm like, man
could get expensive if I had a girlfriend. And she
looked at me without missing a beat and goes, you've
never had a girlfriend, you should get it together.
Speaker 1 (27:05):
Oh oh oh, oh wow, Queen.
Speaker 2 (27:11):
I think I think fourteen years ago I tried to
become a member of the Rasney family because they have it.
They're all beautiful people, like they make beautiful people like
you never ever see a family like that, Like they're
beautiful and they made beautiful people.
Speaker 7 (27:23):
Cal's parents yes, yes, yes, actually her dad looks like
James Dean.
Speaker 2 (27:29):
Her mom is a supermodel and then supermodels. Yes, you're
exactly right. Never mind, I take that. But quickly eight five, five, five, nine,
one one three five, you can context the same number
would did you did you get the proposal that you wanted?
Slash If you don't get the proposal that you want,
if it's not one of these things that winds up
on TikTok. Because there was a fireworks show, you know,
(27:51):
attached some pyrotechnics or something, because look at look at
Travis and Taylor, and he obviously thought about it, and
he bought somebody thought about it him, and they were
flowers or whatever.
Speaker 1 (28:01):
But it was in his backyard.
Speaker 2 (28:03):
Yeah, he fancied up his backyard. Like he didn't take
her to you know, Sanchope and you know, rent out
the whole island and kicked the natives out, and you know,
like he could have, but he didn't, Right, I mean,
it was relatively southern. Ring was not simple, but it
was relatively simple.
Speaker 5 (28:18):
Yeah, And so.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
Guy's a gazillionaire and she's a gazillionaire, a gazillionaire times
ten over him. So they could have done anything they wanted,
but they didn't. They kept it simple. So I just
I wonder, what would I mean, your proposal was relatively simple?
Speaker 5 (28:34):
Wasn't it the most simple thing I've ever seen in
my life?
Speaker 6 (28:37):
No, it was simple, but it was exactly what I
wanted because they represented like quite literally how we met,
which was during COVID on the corner of my block.
Speaker 5 (28:45):
Like and I'm a neighborhood.
Speaker 6 (28:46):
Girl, right, I'm like, I'm not a towny, but I
kind of can be a towny like I love, just
like staying in my little neighborhood and my little bubble.
So I was like, wait, this is really cute. And
he threw me off too because this man doesn't walk, like, yeah,
I wanted to go take you for a walk while
I'm in a dress like that just didn't make sense
the time. I'm like, why am I walking with you
in a dress?
Speaker 5 (29:02):
I did not like. I was like what But it
was cute though, it was very cute, very simple, very simple.
Speaker 2 (29:08):
I'm gonna screw up the story because I'm sure I
don't have all the details right because I was pretty young.
But you know, my mom, my sister, and I have
the same birth father. They got divorced, my mom dated
one guy, married him. He adopted both of us when
we turned eighteen. But I was probably ten and my
sister would have been four three and a half when
they got engaged. And it was around the time my
(29:30):
grandfather was having some pretty serious surgery. And I want
to say, maybe they were driving him to the my
grandparents to the airport to go to the place where
they had the surgery or something like that, and they
were in the car in the garage and my dad
hands my mom a ring and says, we better tell
your dad that we're getting married so he knows you're
(29:51):
taking care of And that was the proposal. That was
the proposal that was in the garage, in the car,
in the garage.
Speaker 5 (29:58):
But it's the sentimental you know, effort behind it.
Speaker 14 (30:01):
Right.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
He ate with that, right, but you know he wasn't
on one knee. And I don't think you know whatever,
but it was you know, I guess it was he
was time to do it, and and you know, the
occasion was right and so whatever. But yeah, my mom
occasionally will flip that on and be like, remember when
he proposed to me in the garage, because that's what
he did.
Speaker 5 (30:17):
But a beautiful marriage, like you see it right.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
No, in the sentiment was there. It was like, well,
we better do this because you know, I don't know,
I want to make sure that he knows that you're good.
Speaker 1 (30:26):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (30:26):
And of course he was fine and he got to
see all that. But hey, Brenda, you got you did
not get good morning. You did not get the proposal
that you wanted. No.
Speaker 8 (30:37):
So we were celebrating our two year anniversary and we
went out to eat. But my best friend had already
told me that he was planning on proposal.
Speaker 2 (30:51):
Oh so you knew it was coming away? What little
friend screw it up? Why did he tip you off?
Speaker 5 (30:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (30:59):
So then you know, we rented a room. You know,
we heard, so we were eating so I was already
expecting it and nothing happened, and I was like, oh, okay,
boll maybe tomorrow. Then nothing and then so you know,
we were getting ready to s the room and he
gets out of the shower, he's getting his back ready,
(31:20):
and then next thing you know, he's on his knee
and then he's like, you know, do you want to
marry me? And I'm like, what, I have a towel
with my hair. I was like, what's going on? But yeah,
I mean I knew, but I didn't know exactly when
he was going to do it.
Speaker 5 (31:38):
And it was in a hotel room.
Speaker 1 (31:40):
So you ran.
Speaker 2 (31:42):
You didn't think you put much effort into it. Slash,
your friend tipped you off, which is that's not his fault.
It's not that's not your guy's fault that that you
got tipped off. Your friend shouldn't have told you that,
right exactly.
Speaker 8 (31:52):
Yeah, but today we're actually celebrating seventeen years of Marriaga.
Speaker 1 (31:58):
Okay, right, that's what's important.
Speaker 8 (32:00):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 1 (32:01):
Well, thank you, Brenda, have a good day.
Speaker 8 (32:03):
Well, thank you, congre speaking.
Speaker 7 (32:05):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
There you go, Uh Deanna? Hi, Hi Fred, Hey, good morning.
So you didn't get a fancy proposal either.
Speaker 1 (32:14):
I did not.
Speaker 15 (32:15):
I got it on the edge of his bed.
Speaker 2 (32:18):
Now, like did things just happen?
Speaker 1 (32:21):
And then then he.
Speaker 16 (32:22):
Proposed, No, that would be nice. No, he would me
up for nice dinner. And this was thirty four years ago,
and his ATM card wouldn't work to get cash, so
he cleaned his room and asked me on the edge.
Speaker 1 (32:38):
Of his bed.
Speaker 2 (32:38):
See but again these are like simple stories. But you've
been together for thirty seven years, and I would be
I think I would be skeptical if someone proposed to
me right at like post coitus, you know, like it's
it's like the I love you in the in the
momentary glow, right after very nice things just happened. It's
like you know, are you are? Or even worse is
during if someone to you, because then you're like because
(33:01):
then you know, three point five seconds after the end,
it's like you have the clarity to go. I should
not have said that, Yeah, yes, I had.
Speaker 16 (33:11):
I had it all in a concert that we were
going to, but she didn't.
Speaker 10 (33:15):
Do it that night.
Speaker 2 (33:17):
Okay, all right, have a good day, thanks for calling.
Speaker 8 (33:19):
Thank you.
Speaker 2 (33:20):
That was a TikTok trend for a while, like are
we going to Santropez for fun?
Speaker 1 (33:24):
Or is he proposing?
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Or like are we going to you know, are we
going on vacation for or is he doing this because
because you because he likes me, or because you were
getting married? And then there would be like the follow
up where it was with a ring or then there
was no ring. Yeah, and it was like we just
planned this, we were going to Hawaii and you didn't
propose after four years and like I just did a
TikTok video about it, I think, and then now we
broke up.
Speaker 5 (33:44):
I left all those videos in my draft.
Speaker 2 (33:48):
You had them all Hey Claire, good morning, good morning,
Hi Claire. So simple proposal for you too.
Speaker 17 (33:57):
Yeah, well I thought that it was a whole party
for were my fiance's best friend for his birthday. So
I did all this work, all this preparation.
Speaker 2 (34:07):
Wait a minute, so you you prepared your own proposal?
Speaker 17 (34:10):
No, pretty much. Yeah, he like just took it over
in like the middle of the day or middle of
the night or whatever, and then called me up. He's like,
none of this party would have been like happening if
it wasn't for her, and you know, none of everything
that I have right now, all this stuff, and then
called me up. And then he had one of his
friends recording his brother knew the whole time and sing backwards.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
So he made you plan your own proposal party. And
then he just got on one knee and said, look,
isn't this nice?
Speaker 1 (34:40):
You want to marry me? That is wild, But.
Speaker 17 (34:44):
He's my best friend and I wouldn't have it any
other way.
Speaker 5 (34:46):
Yeah, generally we're in the.
Speaker 17 (34:48):
Middle of planning our wedding right now. Our wedding is
in July.
Speaker 1 (34:54):
Are you doing it yet?
Speaker 12 (34:55):
Right?
Speaker 1 (34:56):
Exactly? Has he contributed it all to this?
Speaker 17 (34:59):
Yes, contributing to them in good.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
About time that he gets involved in the process, then yeah, you're.
Speaker 10 (35:04):
Already, but he is.
Speaker 17 (35:05):
That's done again. I'm just I'm picky.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
It's my fault, not surprising, all right. Hey, clik, congratulations
to both of you.
Speaker 1 (35:11):

Say good morning to Amy.
Speaker 13 (36:50):
Hi morning, Hey, hey, Hey, how are you guys doing?
This is one heck of a story.
Speaker 10 (36:56):
Heidi is incredible. He really is a true godfriend.
Speaker 1 (37:00):
And Heidi, do you know what's going on at all here?
Speaker 2 (37:02):
Or no? I feel like we never clew in the
person like the hearing.
Speaker 7 (37:05):
No?
Speaker 10 (37:06):
Not really?
Speaker 2 (37:07):
Okay, Well, Brook, can I read a story that you
sent us to your mind?
Speaker 1 (37:10):
That's all right?
Speaker 2 (37:11):
Well it says Heidi is a true angel. My daughter
Aaron was born in March fifth of twenty twenty five
at twelve oh one pm. Heidi was not the nurse
with me during delivery. Honestly, it was such a whirlwind.
I'm not entirely sure how or when Heidi entered the picture,
but thank god she did. Heidi was looking over Aaron
and noticed something wasn't quite right. She pulled my doctor
(37:33):
aside and mentioned her concerns. My doctor agreed with her findings,
and around five PM the two of them came to
speak with my husband and me. They told us that
they were concerned that my daughter could possibly have Turners syndrome.
Aaron was scheduled for an echo cardiogram the following morning.
After it seemed like forever, the neonatologist on duty informed
(37:53):
us they needed to airlift my daughter to Advocate Hospital
in Oaklawn. They did the blood work, but it would
be weeks for a Turner syndrome. Diagnosis was confirmed after
we could Advocate the team of cardiologists agreed that Aaron
needed heart surgery, and the surgery was successful. The surgeon
informed us that we were very lucky had Heidi not
noticed these two extremely small symptoms that no one else
(38:15):
picked up. On, Aaron would have been sent home like
a typical newborn. She likely wouldn't have survived past three
days once a specific artery in a baby's heart closes.
Heidi was a godsend and we are so grateful that
she showed up to watch over our precious girl. That
is crazy. So you saw this little girl, Heidi, and
you just you knew something wasn't right.
Speaker 15 (38:37):
Well, if I have to give credit to my coworkers
and the neoonatologists, we had some concern. So we brought
it to her attention and she quickly acted and she
was just amazing how she took over the care. And
I'm just feel like God puts us where we're supposed
to be at that time. And I'm just so thinking
(39:00):
all that the Aaron is doing well, and she just
has such an amazing family, and I'm just so thankful
that everything.
Speaker 5 (39:10):
Worked out like it did well.
Speaker 1 (39:11):
And thanks you going Brook. Everything's going well now.
Speaker 10 (39:13):
Aaron's doing wonderful. Yeah, she'll be six months old next week.
Speaker 15 (39:16):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (39:17):
Yeah, I love that.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
And you saved your life, so Amy, we got to
do something very nice for.
Speaker 17 (39:24):
Hiding, of course, of course, Heidi.
Speaker 10 (39:27):
So what was it was it the order. Was it
the order that needed the surgery? Yes, so they did
fix a couple of holes in her heart, but the
main concern.
Speaker 15 (39:35):
Was the order.
Speaker 10 (39:36):
She had a corkation.
Speaker 1 (39:38):
Woow.
Speaker 13 (39:39):
Well that is some kind of quick action, paying attention,
not overlooking the details. And you saved little Aaron's life.
You made this family whole with Brooke and so hey, Fred,
we're going to take care of hiding.
Speaker 5 (39:55):
Yeah, we're going to do it.
Speaker 13 (39:57):
We're going.
Speaker 12 (40:00):
Celebrating.
Speaker 1 (40:02):
Oh my god, Heidi.
Speaker 2 (40:03):
So this is where we're honoring first responders. And there's
supposed to be a thousand bucks, but Amy wants to
give you two. And I know that's not why. I
know that's not why you are so good at your
your work and so passionate, But hey, how about two
thousand bucks just because you're incredible?
Speaker 1 (40:17):
Oh that's amazing.
Speaker 15 (40:18):
I'm just I mean, she's okay, that's the biggest blessing.
Speaker 5 (40:23):
And thank you so much.
Speaker 15 (40:24):
That's so generous and so kind of just stopy that
I got to be a.
Speaker 10 (40:28):
Part of their story.
Speaker 2 (40:29):
Well, I've gotten to do a lot of these with
Amy over the years, and it's very clear that certain
people were born to do certain things. Hidi. And it
sounds like you were born to be in this place,
in this moment, and and and your skills saved it
saved a life. I'm sure it happens regularly, but in
this case it did. So Heidi, thank you for what
you're doing. Brooke, thank you for telling us about Heidi.
Speaker 10 (40:47):
Oh my gosh, thank you so much.
Speaker 1 (40:49):
All right, let's make sure we have all your info.
Speaker 2 (40:51):
We'll get you your money, and it's a pleasure to
speak with both of you, and more just telling people
for the next twenty years. I went to Juilliard only
to be discussed, heard, and uncovered and revealed as a liar.
Speaker 5 (41:03):
What he's looking at? Julliard?
Speaker 2 (41:05):
Who's jubsite Julee yard, Julie Julie Julie's yard, Julie jar.
Speaker 1 (41:10):

Speaker 1 (41:24):

Speaker 5 (41:49):

to talk about it.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
Yeah, one face. I was surprised to see go.
Speaker 2 (41:55):
It was.
Speaker 5 (41:55):
Yeah, it's what's going on?
Speaker 1 (41:59):
Never been left waiting by the phone.
Speaker 2 (42:02):
It's the fredshell Hia, good morning, welcome to the program.
Speaker 1 (42:06):
How are you hey?
Speaker 10 (42:07):
I'm doing good.
Speaker 1 (42:08):
So what's going on with this guy? Ryan? We got
to know how you met?
Speaker 2 (42:12):
About any dates that you've been on, and then you
know it's waiting by the phone, so you think you're
being ghosted?
Speaker 1 (42:16):
So what's that about? Fill us in?
Speaker 10 (42:18):
Yeah, listen. I had such a good time with Ryan.
So we met at the bar, hung out all night,
played darts, had good food. I feeling we had so
much in common and I was really happy, honestly to
meet him because I knew he was a real person.
It wasn't like a catfish thing. And I couldn't wait
(42:39):
to get together again. And I haven't heard back since.
Speaker 1 (42:41):
You haven't heard from him.
Speaker 2 (42:42):
So and you look back on this date and everything
seemed normal, and you know, a good conversation flow, and
chemistry was good, and you know you felt you felt
like there was Yeah, I don't know, you thought there
was something there, at least enough that you would see
him again.
Speaker 10 (42:54):
Yeah, you couldn't have gone better. It really couldn't have.
So I'm just I'm replaying the night. I'm wondering and
what did I say? What could I do? It seemed
like he was enjoying it. I really don't know.
Speaker 2 (43:06):
Good chemistry, good conversation, couldn't have gone better? Right?
Speaker 1 (43:11):
How many times have I heard? That's right?
Speaker 2 (43:13):
I know?
Speaker 1 (43:13):
I know, But let's hey, who knows what stranger things
have happened?
Speaker 2 (43:17):
Maybe maybe there's some misunderstanding here that we can clarify
and get you guys set up. So we're gonna play
a song, come back in a couple of minutes. Call
this guy Ryan, You'll be on the phone, and let's
see what happens. Good luck. Hey, Kaya, Hey, you recently
went out with a guy named Ryan. You said a
minute ago, the date couldn't have gone better, except you
have not heard from Ryan's since the date.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
And you're confused exactly.
Speaker 2 (43:37):
Yeah, all right, well I can understand why this is frustrating.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
Let's call Ryan right now. Good luck?
Speaker 15 (43:41):
Kaya think.
Speaker 12 (43:47):
Hello?
Speaker 1 (43:48):
Hi? Is this Ryan?
Speaker 10 (43:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Ryan, Hi, good morning. My name is Fred.
Speaker 2 (43:52):
I'm calling for the Fred's Show, the morning radio show,
the whole cruise Here. I have to tell you that
we are on the radio right now. I would need
your permission to continue with the ca Can we chat
for just a couple of minutes, You can hang up anytime?
Speaker 1 (44:04):
Yeah, sure, thank you very much. Seems like an agreeable guy.
Thank you very much. Ryan.
Speaker 2 (44:08):
We're calling on me half of a woman named Kaya
who reached out to us. Says that she met you
and she said everything went great, but she hasn't heard
from you since today.
Speaker 1 (44:15):
Why is that? Yeah?
Speaker 12 (44:17):
Simple, She's a swinger, man, She's a straight up swinger.
Speaker 1 (44:23):
She's a swinger. Yeah, okay, all right.
Speaker 2 (44:27):
So and that wasn't something that she disclosed to you
off the top. I mean, how did we learn this? Well?
Speaker 12 (44:33):
Okay, so yeah, we talked. You know, things are fine,
you know, it was great actually okay, but like she
asked if I wanted to hang out at a friend's
place the following weekend. She was like, Hey, you want
to come with me. I'm going to a friend's house. Yeah,
that's Saturday. And I was like, yeah, sure, that's great.
(44:55):
And you know, I asked her, like, well, what should
I bring? What should I you know, like, what should
I do if you go? Just a bathing suit? Which
is when I started asking questions. Okay, and she tells
me her friends have a bunch of friends, their friends
and their boyfriends or husbands. They go over and they
(45:17):
get it a hot tub together. And I'm not going
to a couple's hot up party.
Speaker 1 (45:22):
Okay, Well hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
Speaker 2 (45:25):
So people don't they can't have like a little pool party,
Like where's swinging? How do we go from? Bring a
bathing suit so we can hang out in the hot tub?
So everyone's doing each other? Like how did we get there?
Speaker 1 (45:35):
They're clearly swingers.
Speaker 12 (45:37):
This is give me a break, man, are you on
one date? I'm in a bathing suit with the other adults?
I don't know, like, oh, bring your suit?
Speaker 2 (45:47):
Whole on a second, I don't know that for sure.
I mean, so wait a minute. So I meet someone
in a bar and we talk and have a great night,
and then that woman says, hey, do you want to come?
I mean I would be more concerned about hanging out
with a bunch of people I did, like friends, just
having to socialize the people I didn't know. I didn't
know the person very well. But she says basically, come
to a pool party and we're gonna hang on the
(46:08):
hot tub. And and now we're all just swapping Like
when when how do we jump from there to there?
Speaker 12 (46:13):
It's obvious, man, I mean, come on, man, it's like
it's it's not that difficult. Like what what do you
think happened in the hot tub?
Speaker 2 (46:21):
Did you ask her? Did you say, like, hey, what
kind of party is this?
Speaker 12 (46:25):
Like?
Speaker 1 (46:25):
Did you say, I mean, is.
Speaker 5 (46:27):
She actually to bring pineapples or something?
Speaker 12 (46:29):
Right?
Speaker 13 (46:29):
Right?
Speaker 12 (46:30):
Right?
Speaker 1 (46:30):
I mean, like you know, I don't know that.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
I think there were a lot of steps between what
she asked you to do and and where you think
this was headed.
Speaker 10 (46:37):
Well.
Speaker 1 (46:37):
In fact, I forgot to mention that Kaya is here. Kaya.
Speaker 2 (46:41):
Did you were you inviting him to a function that
that kind of function or were you inviting him to
a party that included a jacuzzie.
Speaker 10 (46:49):
It was absolutely a jacuzzie, and I am flored right now.
I have no idea why Ryan would think that we're swingers.
You know, when somebody says what should I bring? And
I just say a swim suit. That was like being polite,
like don't worry about bringing a dish, don't worry about
bringing a drink, whatever, just bring yourself and it's one suit.
Speaker 5 (47:09):
Never did I think that there's a give a of
a swinger.
Speaker 2 (47:13):
I mean, a couple of weeks ago, girl, a friend
of mine asked me to come over and use a
pool with her at the at the condo. I guess
everybody in the pool we were all going to get
it on.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
I didn't know it.
Speaker 10 (47:23):
I know.
Speaker 5 (47:24):
So for you, is it the fact that it was
just like there's just a hot tub there? Like is
the hot tub?
Speaker 12 (47:29):
Like?
Speaker 5 (47:29):
What's making you feel this way?
Speaker 12 (47:32):
Like?
Speaker 1 (47:32):
Why she is swingar?
Speaker 10 (47:33):
Yes, you could tell you.
Speaker 1 (47:38):
She just told you she's not.
Speaker 5 (47:39):
Is it the hot tub?
Speaker 12 (47:41):
She's creepy?
Speaker 1 (47:42):
Oh she's creepy.
Speaker 12 (47:43):
Okay, that's the whole thing.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Yeah, you're check this out right, checked this out one time, Ryan,
I stayed at a hotel by myself, and I went
down to the hot tub and I got and there
were other people in it. It was weird when they
kicked me out, when I thought that we were all
ask you where are you from?
Speaker 13 (47:59):
Right?
Speaker 2 (48:00):
No, it was weird because they wanted to tell me
I couldn't stay the hotel anymore. And I was like, why,
it's obviously a swingers party. Look, we're all in the
hot tub together. Dude, I don't understand.
Speaker 12 (48:08):
That's different. Man, that's different, man, Like, this is not
something moment to I'm not gonna go over there and
start swinging with her.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
I've met her, you too. Nobody asked you. You made
this up? Like, no one asks you, No one invited.
Speaker 12 (48:25):
You to make it up. I did not make it up, man, But.
Speaker 2 (48:28):
She just told you it wasn't She told you it was.
It was a gathering of friends and there was going
to be a hot tub involved.
Speaker 12 (48:36):
That's right.
Speaker 5 (48:39):
No, I will say, how often.
Speaker 4 (48:40):
Are you guys getting invited for a hot tub party
as an adult?
Speaker 1 (48:43):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
I mean, if if I'm going to someone's house and
they have a hot tub, maybe they would be like,
bring your swimsuit.
Speaker 1 (48:50):
We might get in the hot tub, like and especially
if if everyone else is.
Speaker 2 (48:54):
Getting in the hot tub, I don't want to be
the one guy who shows up and I'm the dude
who doesn't have a swimsuit. So I'm the one sitting
in the lawn chair watching everybody else couples. We're a
couple two. I don't I don't necessarily jump.
Speaker 7 (49:05):
To right, not once in my life anybody else like,
you know what we're gonna swing tonight and I just
you know know it?
Speaker 5 (49:12):
How do you just know this?
Speaker 15 (49:14):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (49:17):
Ask me something please, That may have helped if you'd
asked before, But yeah, ask me now. Okay, So here's so.
Speaker 1 (49:23):
But I don't even need to bro I was. I'm there.
I'm already doing logic.
Speaker 2 (49:28):
You're not the thing? Is this?
Speaker 12 (49:30):
So?
Speaker 5 (49:31):
Okay?
Speaker 12 (49:32):
You're on date one, date one. We don't even know
each other that way, And now it's like, ko, put
on your little skinny minis now and come in the
hat that with my friend. It's awkward. Who has that
kind of bordness. It's someone that's clearly okay with that
kind of intimacy, which is swinging into it.
Speaker 2 (49:50):
Man, Okay, and I I don't agree with you. But
even if even if there was a question about it,
she's on the phone. She just told us it wasn't that,
you know.
Speaker 1 (50:05):
What's right.
Speaker 2 (50:05):
One thing I know about certain kind of folks is
they're not really if you're if you're that open about it,
If in fact she was really just inviting you at
virtual stranger to come hang out and that was the
m O, I don't know that she'd be lying about
it now. I feel like she'd be like, yeah, that's
what it was, right, but kaya just to confirm that
wasn't what it was.
Speaker 10 (50:24):
No, that wasn't what it was. And listen, we are adults,
and to be honest with you, Jacuzzi taught us, they're
not cheap. Okay, so this is a nice place to go,
my friend's house. We're having You know why, why don't
think every.
Speaker 2 (50:37):
Swinger event happens in a bad place? But I don't
I don't think. I don't think you have to be
rich to do that. But anyway, this is this whole
thing is crazy. Look, I'm going to ask the question Ryan,
would you like to go out? I know the answer,
would you like to go out with her?
Speaker 1 (50:51):
Again? Okay?
Speaker 2 (50:53):
This is all right, this I need I need a
map for this one. I think I don't know. All right, guys,
look kaya Ryan, thank you for your time. Best I've
luck to both of you.
Speaker 10 (51:02):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (51:02):
Calin's entertainer report he's on the Bread show.
Speaker 4 (51:06):
They're calling it the SNL Bloodbath, which seems very dramatic,
but headlines such as SNL continues to hemorrhage cast members
as another stary departs the comedy show. We're popping up
all over yesterday and if you missed it, after three
cast members announced this week that they would not return
for SNL's fifty first season, then we found out or
a lot of you know, outlets are reporting that Heidi
(51:27):
Gardner is now also reportedly leaving the show after eight seasons,
and I feel like she was one of the biggest
on the show currently. She joined in twenty seventeen as
a featured player and has played iconic characters like my
personal favorite every Boxer's Wife, which I love, she did
during a weekend update. She has also been in movies
like Hustle, TV shows like Shrinking and Girls five Eva.
(51:49):
Heidi follows the exit of Devin Walker, Emil Wakim and
Michael Longfellow this week.
Speaker 2 (51:54):
So you believe because they could make more money to
the movies and stuff, but like not in every case,
that just get fired to get too expensive. I don't
know what, but like I could see her moving on
to do others. Like it's almost like their time is
more valuable than doing that show on you know, one
seat for a season, and it takes five six days
to produce one. It's like they could be off making
(52:16):
a movie and make more money. That's that's happened a
few times, but I don't I don't know. Sometimes they
disappeared to I'm trying to think. There was one guy
that I thought for sure would pop off when he
left the show, and then he didn't.
Speaker 1 (52:28):
Then he's like, well may Mu's just stayed.
Speaker 5 (52:30):
Sometimes I wonder, like what are you going off to do?
Speaker 4 (52:33):
But also like the schedule is very rigorous, and I
don't know that it's necessarily worth what they make, Like
I know they don't make it.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
Right, so that's why they are times more valuable. Then
you get like Keenan Thomas, the guys been on there.
Keenan Thompson, he's been it forever.
Speaker 5 (52:47):
I think he's the longest running cast nowhere.
Speaker 2 (52:50):
He's like time, no, listen, A check is a child like.
Speaker 4 (52:54):
I'm not leaving, you know, by my own volition unless
I got another thing lined up. You know what I'm saying, right,
never give it or I'm adding yes exactly, that's a bar.
I want I run to sit and think about what
Kiki you said. Halsey announced a Back to Badlands Anniversary
world tour of the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia.
Global chek will kick off with a show at the
(53:15):
Hollywood Forever Cemetery on October fourteenth, before moving all kinds
of different places and wrapping up at Detroit's Fillmore in
January of next year. From there, the Back to Badlands
Tour moves through Europe and then all the other places
you know, YadA, YadA, YadA. We're not on in Europe yet, hoping,
hoping soon fingers crossed you take over Europe. But tickets
(53:36):
for the tour will first go on sale through an
artist pre sale, kicking off on Tuesday, September second, and
then you can get I think your general on sale
will be September fifth at ten am local time, so.
Speaker 5 (53:49):
Look out for that.
Speaker 4 (53:50):
And we got we gotta support Halseay, So I might
want to go Jason Brown, if you're if we have Baltos.
Kim Kardashian took a big step toward becoming a licensed
attorney by completing the California Bar exam in late July.
And the California Bar is notorious, notoriously harder than some
of the other bars. It's a rigorous exam two day
(54:11):
testing comprising of five one hour essays, a ninety minute
performance test, and a two hundred multiple choice question section
to qualify for the bar. She passed what she was
calling the baby bar on her fourth attempt, so she
had to work at that. In December of twenty twenty one,
then she completed a six year legal apprenticeship.
Speaker 5 (54:30):
She accumulated over five.
Speaker 4 (54:32):
Thousand hours of study, graduated from the Law Office Study
Program in May.
Speaker 5 (54:36):
Of this year.
Speaker 4 (54:36):
She's now awaiting the results, which are scheduled to be
released November nine.
Speaker 5 (54:41):
So the whole world, well, no, I think one way
or another, if she's going to.
Speaker 4 (54:46):
Be a lawyer, well good for her. Crazy, that's a
long road to do that that way, but good for her, right,
and she didn't have to, so I respect it. And
she's doing a lot of good things with her legal knowledge,
so I'm.
Speaker 5 (54:57):
Not mad at her hustle. I'm also really quick. Well
we're talking abou Kim.
Speaker 4 (55:00):
Her sister Chloe traveled to Mexico to undergo a procedure
that is not approved here in the US.
Speaker 5 (55:07):
So I guess she got a stem cell procedure.
Speaker 4 (55:12):
Which has potential benefits for recovery, inflammation, and overall wellness
and of course anti aging, because that family is petrified
of aging.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
This is why rich people always look better, because they're
doing stuff like this man, they like changing out their
insides and I don't know what they're doing, checked it
with stuff and pumped up with stuff.
Speaker 4 (55:30):
And there was one episode and I can't believe that
I still casually watched the show. But they met with
this dude who's like actively trying to combat aging. He
looks like a vampire. Like he doesn't go in the sun,
Like he doesn't do this this. He eats only healthy.
Speaker 2 (55:43):
Succes, sleep and hyperbaric chambers, you know whatever. Yeah, right, so, yeah,
from aldehyde. They ferment themselves in the middle of that.
I don't know what they do.
Speaker 5 (55:53):
Yeah, they're very scared to age.
Speaker 4 (55:54):
But yeah, she hopes it will become accessible and affordable
for everyone in the future. I wouldn't you know, hold
your brow, Coco, but yeah, be careful, be careful and
don't get any ideas, Pauline.
Speaker 5 (56:05):
I don't need you in Mexico with.
Speaker 1 (56:07):
Researching already here good yeah, stem cell this and that.
Speaker 5 (56:10):
King Kun right, ending with the stem cell.
Speaker 2 (56:14):
That is.
Speaker 4 (56:16):
By the way, if you miss any part of our

is all not just throwing money out the street.

Speaker 4 (01:03:38):
I was scrolling up Jesse Jay this this breaks my
heart has canceled her upcoming US tour dates to undergo
surgery for breast cancer. The thirty seven year old singer
announced her diagnosis earlier this year, and has since undergone
a masectomy and breast reconstruction. In a recent update, she
shared that she was hospitalized for an infection six weeks
post surgery, but is now recovering at home. She thanked
(01:04:00):
her medical team and support system acknowledging the challenges of
recovery and the impacts on her personal life and career.
Speaker 5 (01:04:07):
And she's just the sweetest. So we're thinking of her.
K popstar Si who did the song Godnum Style.
Speaker 4 (01:04:13):
Remember that was the time he's apologizing after being booked
by South Korean police for allegedly using illegal proxies to
obtain prescription meds like Xanax without required in person consultations.
And if you're like me and you didn't know what
it meant to use illegal proxies, I guess it means
to have all your internet traffic website like which websites
(01:04:35):
you're going to, routed through a proxy server instead of
directly from your own device to the internet. Cops claimed
that he had his manager and others collect the drugs,
which is against South Korean law. He admitted fault, called
it a clear mistake and negligence, and pled full cooperation
with investigators. His agency clarified that his medication use was
(01:04:56):
supervised and within prescription prescribed dosages. A university hospital doctor
has also been implicated, but denies any wrong doing. Ryan
Gosling has officially joined the Star Wars universe, as he's
on the set of the next installment and the first
look is here.
Speaker 5 (01:05:13):
So I hope I handle the story with care.
Speaker 4 (01:05:15):
I've never seen a Star Wars movie in my life,
but a photo on Instagram shows Ryan with the rising
child star Flynn Gray on the set of Sean Levy's
Star Wars star Fighter. As the movie just kicked off production.
Ryan's role is still under wraps. What we do know
he's leading the movie as well as serving as an
executive producer. We also know that this is a fresh,
(01:05:35):
standalone adventure in the Star Wars universe, hitting theaters May
twenty eighth, twenty twenty seven. So I don't know if
it's like, it's not a sequel, it's its own thing,
But this is what they tell me. Speaking of Instagram,
Selena Gomez shared some moments from her bachelorette party in Mexico,
and remember we saw her there. My spidy sense has
told me it was a bachelor lurette. I have like
(01:05:55):
a sixth sense for that. But she shared a bunch
of photos and confirmed it in videos from Cabo the
Heat of Cabo, alongside the girl squad of friends, one
of which showed her looking beautiful in a white veil
that read bride to be and cursive. They also had
the obligatory Benny Blanco fat heads.
Speaker 5 (01:06:13):
So stars are just like us, Yeah, don't do them.
It was like I have to give her.
Speaker 4 (01:06:18):
I love Selena because she always is like, I don't
have that many friends in the industry. She had like
a real bachelorette that, like I would have gone on
like it was very much like I didn't know any of.
Speaker 5 (01:06:25):
The girls that were there, and they planned it. They
decorated her room.
Speaker 2 (01:06:29):
No fat head to me, No, no, no man part veils, no,
no matching T shirts no, no, no, no, all the
fun out of it.
Speaker 1 (01:06:38):
No, we're not. We're not.
Speaker 2 (01:06:41):
We don't have to choreograph the outfits. Just just go
have a nice time with your girls.
Speaker 1 (01:06:45):
Just go have fun.
Speaker 2 (01:06:46):
Don't even worry about all that. We're not nonsense.
Speaker 1 (01:06:49):
We're not We're not. Just go have a nice trip.
Speaker 5 (01:06:52):
I just need to know how many pairs of underwear
made it to Cabo on the well.
Speaker 2 (01:06:55):
It's according to the travel expert. It's one per day
plus three. That's all you need to wait the travel expert.
I read about a New York post. That's all you
gotta know.
Speaker 10 (01:07:05):
I don't know.
Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
I don't want to be with someone who only has
one pair of Choni's for a day. But that's just me.
And by the way, if you missed any part of our.
