Speaker 1 (00:00):
Callon's Entertainment report. He's on the Fred Show.
Speaker 2 (00:03):
All right, So we all remember the cartoon version of
Frosty the Snowman, right like the iconic first one.
Speaker 1 (00:10):
You know you can picture Frosty.
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Well, the voice of Frosty was a jolly happy guy,
as you would assume. But I think we figured out
maybe where all that happiness came from.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
So oh no.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
So Jackie Vernon, the actor who brought the character to
life in the nineteen sixty nine animated special, welcomed three
children with his wife Hazel Vernon during his lifetime. But
word is that the late stand up comedian had not one,
not two, but three secret families.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
WHOA, so he had some time? How like, how are
three separate families? Yes, so I will tell you how
he did it.
Speaker 2 (00:49):
They weren't all at the same time necessarily, but it
kind of gets a little bit crazier. So his son
revealed on a recent podcast that he learned of his
dad's past during a visit to his family home from
an unexpected guest during his youth. So he said, there
was a woman with a kid who was older than
I was. On this episode of this podcast, he was
probably in his late teens a little rough around the
(01:10):
edges looking. The woman asked to speak with his dad.
He said that he was on the road, and then
she demanded to speak with his mom, which led to
a bombshell revelation. He said, I heard a heated combo
going on, and a couple of minutes later they left.
It finally came out that before before our family, my
dad had been married at least three other times, which
I was shocked to find out. Then David said that
(01:33):
this discovery of his dad's older kids, including one fact
that bound them all together. From these marriages, he had sons,
and he named them all Ralph after himself. His original
name was Ralph, he changed to Jackie, so he has sons.
Speaker 1 (01:50):
He named all his sons.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Ralph Elon Musk before Elon Musk.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yeah, Jackie Vernon, so frosty. He pays use support, So
I don't know, are they getting residuals and where.
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Are those royalties going? I wonder. Yeah, it's interesting, and
they didn't know about each other, so it's not like
one of those open situations or polyamory or whatever. Yeah,
it's not that you know, there are men that have
this complex about that, like where they have to have
as many kids as possible. I believe that they should all,
you know, their DNA needs to be you know, prolific
(02:27):
or something. Right.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
At least they give them different names though, But damn
Ralph in similar news, And I'm going to be very
careful about how I say this story, and you will
know why once I start saying it. But if you know,
you know, comedian Matt Rife just dropped a people are
always mad at him.
Speaker 3 (02:44):
It seems like you're gonna do this, by the way.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
But yes, yeah, I I'll try to dance around it.
So he just dropped a holiday themed stand up on
Netflix called Matt Rife Unwrapped a Christmas crowd Work Special,
which I don't know if we needed that, But as
the special began to auto for some people on Netflix,
one of his jokes involved the secret of Christmas okay,
and it obviously it triggered a wave of outrage from
(03:11):
people who have children, because you don't want, you know,
you don't want the behind the scenes, the look behind
the curtain.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
So some viewers.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
Said they walked past their kids mid preview and heard
the punchline, and they have a ton of backlash against Matt.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
H calling it childhood ruining.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Wait till they hear how I found out the Secret
of Christmas because it was much more traumatic. But meanwhile,
critics are saying, beyond that specific joke, the routine leans
really heavily on edgy jokes. So it's like, don't have
that playing at all, I guess, is what critics are saying.
Speaker 1 (03:43):
I don't know if I that's sad. I don't know
if I'm outraged.
Speaker 3 (03:47):
This has to be played with. Man, you don't mess
with that one. No, it's a topic you just don't
mess with.
Speaker 2 (03:51):
I agree, And the joke wasn't funny, and I don't
know why it needed to be a joke. And really quickly,
it's been eighty four years, but finally here HBO posted
a photo of Zend writing let's ride April twenty twenty six,
so we are getting season three.
Speaker 1 (04:04):
I don't even remember what happened.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
In the other two seasons, but I was distracted because
the logos at HBO max.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
I thought we were done with that.
Speaker 2 (04:11):
