Speaker 2 (00:29):
For Tima Craye. The song that changed everything also sort
of came with unexpected blowback, and she says she wouldn't
change a thing. So while she was talking to Rolling Stone,
she reflected on collaborating with Morgan Wallen on What I Want,
her first and only number one hit, if you can
believe that, and she made it clear that she has
zero regrets about the song. She says country music has

(00:50):
always been part of her world, growing up around it
and watching her brother obsess over the genre. When the
chance came to crossovers, she jumped at it simply because
she loved the song, not realizing how much controversy would follow.
The reaction, she admits shocked her also gave her clarity
but who she is and how she wants to move
forward as an artist. She says that she never even

(01:12):
met Morgan in person, but believes criticism is part of growth.
Regret doesn't help, but learning does. Fifty Cent told Cherry
Shepherd that Netflix only gave him four episodes in that
Ditty documentary or docuseries, I should say something, he says,
led to lots of things being cut out, including the
fact that Ditty allegedly has a baby with a girl

(01:35):
tupac dated and if you have not watched it yet,
that's kind of a theme. If somebody messes with him,
he wants to take their girl. If somebody has a
girl that's more powerful than him, he wants to take
their girl. And fifty says that once people see others
start to speak and come forward, they get more comfortable
to do so, so they start reaching out. But as
for a second docuseries, he said he'll probably just throw

(01:57):
it on YouTube, so there may be more, and it
may be just thrown on YouTube as opposed to a
whole Netflix production. As twenty twenty five wraps up the
year's biggest concert tours have been tellied and country artists
made a strong showing among the globe's top earners. At
the very top of the overall list, not country, but
Coldplay claimed the number one spot with nearly four hundred

(02:20):
and sixty five million in ticket sales. That's Crazy, followed
by Beyonce, that Kendrick and Sissy Tour and The Weekends Tour.
Post Malone stood out as the highest ranking artist tied
to country, placing in the top ten worldwide thanks to
his blockbuster Big Gas Stadium World Tour. Zach Brian also
landed among the year's top grossing tours with around one

(02:42):
hundred and fifty nine million, drawing in massive crowds on
the road despite a pretty turbulent year off stage. Luke
Culmbs followed with seventy six million across just eleven shows,
So you have to keep that in mind. Like The
Weekend was touring for like four years, Luke only had
eleven shows and he hit sixty four or seventy six

(03:03):
excuse me. And while George straight he closed out the
list with seventy five million from six powerful shows, So
just six and I feel like he's always in the
conversation for these high grossing tours. Speaking of country, Billboard
crowned Kenny Chesney as the top Country Artist of the Year,
Chris Stapleton's Traveler as the top country album m bb REXA,

(03:24):
and Florida Georgia Lines Meant to Be as the top
country song of the century so far, so I guess
they're doing that one for the century. By the way,
