Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the mornings, just a great start
to my day.

Speaker 3 (00:05):
On kid, Hey, good morning, everybody, welcome in. It is
the Billy and Lisa's show. I'm justin, not Billy. Billy
is out today, he's in Portugal, but of course I'm here,
Lisa is here, Winnie and Mikey V Hi, Mikey, good morning,
Good morning.

Speaker 4 (00:23):
Every time I do this and help out, I realize
how much I applaud you guys for getting up this
early every single day.

Speaker 3 (00:29):
Well, we love it because we like to see you suffer.
That alarm clock goes off.

Speaker 4 (00:35):
Oh god, I hit snooze like nineteen times. In my head,
I'm like, they get up a four. So I'm not
sure why I'm complaining, but yeah, even earlier than that.
It's crazy.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
But you know, when we asked Mikey to come on
and sit in for Bill with us, he said, of course,
coming on in the morning is like the super Bowl
for me. I did say that. He did say that,
and I was like, big as the What's he said,
what Mikey the super Bowl?

Speaker 1 (00:58):
By Yeah, this is it.

Speaker 5 (01:01):
This is the big time.

Speaker 6 (01:02):
We did talk to Billy already he called this, Oh
you did? He was, he was. He's all worried about
when he's going to call in. So eight ten here
from him. Is there a time change where he is
an as Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:13):
It's like it's six hours ahead and five hours ahead.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
He's ahead.

Speaker 5 (01:15):
They were in a pineapple farm.

Speaker 4 (01:18):
Under the tree, which is interesting because what are pineapples
symbolic for?

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Oh, swinging?

Speaker 6 (01:26):
Yeah, yeah, among other things. Yeah, hospitality, yeah, I mean really.

Speaker 2 (01:32):
You're welcoming a lot of people in your home that way,
upside down though, upside down?

Speaker 4 (01:36):
Right, yeah, Michelle's with him, right, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
And he's in Portugal thanks to az Or Airlines, which
of course is one of the prizes on the match game.
You can win airline tickets to the Azors. It's only
a four and a half hour flight. It's a good
long weekend trip. Yeah. So we'll do the match game
this morning. It's seven ten and eight ten. I can't
believe I poor first Winter was av Bros Night out.
I know, we knew you were coming in, we were,
but it was taken.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I was shocked that she went for the the you know,
she went for the wind. She went for the wind.
I would have been like you know what I don't.

Speaker 6 (02:08):
I have to say it's also five hundred dollars to
Encore Parlay that in like ten grand on.

Speaker 4 (02:15):
His twenty first birthday. She had a V Bro's Night
out before it is even a thing I did.

Speaker 1 (02:18):
I did, and I went. He got me a table.
I don't even know if I was so like broke
back down. I don't even know if we tipped the people.

Speaker 4 (02:24):
I think I probably tipped. I think tipped for me.

Speaker 6 (02:28):
I think you set one up for me too.

Speaker 7 (02:29):
See four days into week one of the match game
and you might as well just call it off. The
v Bros Night Out is off the board. It's not
even worth playing anymore. Captain Mike is crushed.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
That was nice of my cousin Colin. But there's still
amazing prizes still on the board. I mean the a's
are airlines tickets. We have a flyaway to see Tate
McCrae in Nashville, a ski getaway, and tickets to all
the biggest shows coming to Gillette, coming to Fenway. I
mean Gracie Abrams, so seven ten and a ten for that.
Lisa Weatherwise, what are we looking at? Kind of a
split for the weekend?

Speaker 6 (03:04):
Well, yeah, I mean today's sunny, and then tomorrow is
going to be warm but kind of a little rainy,
and then it gets cold again on Sunday.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
More melting, No more melting.

Speaker 5 (03:13):
Yeah, we need it a little bit more.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
It's gonna be like bone chilling cold like it.

Speaker 5 (03:17):
Was last Sunday. Chill Sunday's it's like twenties. Twenties is
not fun.

Speaker 2 (03:20):
No, no anything anything below freezing.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
I don't.

Speaker 5 (03:25):
I feel like this warm weather is just a tease.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
Yea, it really is.

Speaker 5 (03:28):
I just it's not fair.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
Yeah, it's a fake spring. Yes, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
I was out this past weekend and I think the
temp was around forty or forty five, and I ran
into a guy who was from Delaware and he was like,
it is just so cold. I go, this is like
summer for us. It's been in the twenties and teens.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
Delaware has not even had far down. I know, like
they get the same weather we do.

Speaker 5 (03:48):
It's always a little warmer down.

Speaker 1 (03:49):
Yeah, a tiny bit.

Speaker 3 (03:50):
Yeah. So we'll have the match game this morning. Also,
we're gonna have a good topic that has to do
with our friend Mikey v Oh.

Speaker 1 (03:56):
I can't wait for this one.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
I just want to say Mikey is a very successful guy,
very busy guy, one of the hardest working guys that
we know in radio and in life, in radio and
outside of radio. But God, are you cheap? Way to
you here what Mikey is doing to save some money.
We'll talk about that at seven fifteen. Don't don't give
it away yet, Mikey. Okay, we'll do that at seven fifteen.

Speaker 5 (04:16):
You don't read as cheap. You don't read cheap.

Speaker 4 (04:19):
I pick and choose my battles. Okay, I can get
a deal, take a deal.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
This is the thing about Mikey which I appreciate.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
He likes to save his money and keep it, but
he will spend it if it makes sense.

Speaker 3 (04:29):
Yeah, but it's something that when he would would do too.
Oh what you do?

Speaker 2 (04:32):
When we get into it, I have so many questions.
I'm so I just want to do exactly what you're doing.
I hardly agree with you, and I can't wait to
talk about it.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
Just a few yeah, and real quick when I want
to get this in because yesterday late in the show,
one of our talkbackers O G. Bobby Johnson was one
of our new talkbackers. He's kind of got a sultry voice,
and we suggested that maybe you know, Whenni being a
single girl, maybe he would be the guy, but not
so much. And I got your question that you asked.

Speaker 8 (04:56):
Yes, unfortunately, I do have a girlfriend for twenty three
years and I am fifty four years old. So tell
Winnie she don't want nothing to do with no old
man like me. She too beautiful for that. Tell her
to go get her something young and put her around
her arm.

Speaker 3 (05:12):
So I love her.

Speaker 8 (05:13):
I love you, Winnie with your beautiful self. Have a
blessed day you all.

Speaker 3 (05:17):
That's great. Same one question.

Speaker 1 (05:19):
He has commitment issues?

Speaker 2 (05:23):
Okay, Bobby, honey, you would and I would never last
because I wouldn't do more than two years without a ring,
Like that's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
We actually did. We talked about us yesterday afternoon. But
how long you should date or what's a normal dating
time to wait to get engaged? What do you think
it is? Like?

Speaker 1 (05:40):
What do I think it is?

Speaker 2 (05:41):
What it's like an average? I think two years? Two
and a half?

Speaker 5 (05:44):
Yeah, two to three.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
The number just what you got?

Speaker 3 (05:47):
Uh, well, we waited, you're like eleven years. I went five,
but nineteen months that makes.

Speaker 1 (05:56):
Sense, Yeah, that makes sense does make sense.

Speaker 4 (05:59):
Five years under the math, I think Bobby's at like
five hundred months.

Speaker 3 (06:05):
I mean we waited seven years, but I mean we
were both homeless, so you know what's going on.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
You had other priorities besides the wedding.

Speaker 3 (06:14):
All right, Billy is out in Portugal. Lisa is covering entertainment. Lisa,
what do you got coming up?

Speaker 6 (06:18):
Oh my god, So Tate McCrae is hosting SNL.

Speaker 5 (06:21):
We'll hear from that. Travis kelcey is.

Speaker 6 (06:24):
Not retiring, and we've got a major pop star heading
into space and we will discuss.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
So that's all coming up at six forty.

Speaker 3 (06:31):
Yeah, the entertainment report coming up from the.

Speaker 5 (06:34):
Planet Fitness Kiss one Owaight Studios.

Speaker 6 (06:36):
We're back with the Villy and Lisa in the morning
on Kiss.

Speaker 3 (06:41):
All right, welcome back, everybody. It's a Friday.

Speaker 5 (06:44):
It is Happy Friday.

Speaker 3 (06:45):
Happy Friday. It is justin Lisa, Winnie and Mikey v
who is in for Billy. He's in Portugal and he'll
be checking in at eight ten this morning. Entertainment is
standing by. But I want to let everybody know the
Billy and Lisa Show can be heard worldwide on the
iHeart radio app, which you can download for free. Take

(07:06):
O eight on the app. You just pressed that little
red microphone button and then boom, you leave it. Talk back.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Good morning everyone.

Speaker 9 (07:13):
Just taking my wife in for shoulder replacement surgery this morning.

Speaker 10 (07:16):
So I appreciate any positive torture can center away for
a successful surgery.

Speaker 3 (07:21):
Good good for.

Speaker 5 (07:22):
Her, positive vibes, not good for her. It's gonna go.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
It will be good for her.

Speaker 3 (07:25):
Yeah, be supportive of her shoulder.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
Mush.

Speaker 6 (07:33):
Now the entertainment update with a Billy Consta.

Speaker 5 (07:37):
All right, I'll do my best.

Speaker 6 (07:38):
I'm filling in for the Bill Costa, who is in
Portugal right now. So we're gonna start with sports. So
Travis Kelcey, we have been talking about this for weeks.
We actually had a bet on the board and I
actually this confirms that Winnie, Justin and I won the bet.
Billy is the mush as usual. Travis Kelcey has confirmed
he is not retiring. He has had a text to

(08:00):
Pa Pat McAfee, who I think, Mikey, You're friends with
your buddy and I think we.

Speaker 4 (08:05):
Have that text.

Speaker 10 (08:06):
I'm coming back for sure, Gonna try then get to
the best shape I've been this offseason and get back
to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my
mouth with how I played in that last game and
how I got the guys ready for battle.

Speaker 3 (08:20):
I can't go out like that. You know it.

Speaker 6 (08:23):
That last left a bad taste in his mouth and
he can't step away.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Billy really is the mush. He was the only one
that bet that he was going to retire. Would you
guys bet no money?

Speaker 1 (08:34):
We should have bet money. I don't know why.

Speaker 3 (08:35):
He texted me last night when he was at the
airport and he's like, you idiot, you should have bet money.

Speaker 11 (08:39):
I know we should.

Speaker 6 (08:40):
I'm mad at myself for that mean too, but I
think it's great.

Speaker 5 (08:44):
I'm hopeful.

Speaker 1 (08:45):
I mean, he wasn't. There's no way.

Speaker 2 (08:47):
He's a competitor. He's just won a bunch of super Bowls.
He's not going to go out losing one. I think
he would have gone out if they didn't make the
playoffs or if they didn't make.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
The super Bowl. But losing the super Bowl, he's like, no,
I have to come back.

Speaker 5 (08:56):
So question though about the relationship.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Does this push off engagement and engagement for another year?

Speaker 1 (09:02):
I don't think.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
I don't think when you have that much money and
like power, it's about that they don't need it, like
you know what I mean. I think all of sometimes
you get married because you want to like start a
family and buy a house.

Speaker 1 (09:13):
She could have a she could have her eggs frozen.
We don't know.

Speaker 2 (09:15):
She could They could decide they want to have kids
in ten years with like a surrogate. Like they might
not be rushing for those type of things that a
normal couple is rushing for.

Speaker 4 (09:23):
How long they've been dating that it will be two
years in July, so a.

Speaker 1 (09:26):
Year and a half.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
This goes to your theory.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
That engagement they are window.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (09:32):
The other big story that actually Billy called me about
yesterday was the fact.

Speaker 5 (09:36):
That Katy Perry, Gail King, Lauren.

Speaker 6 (09:40):
Sanchez, and a few other women will be a all
female flight crew on the Jeff Bezos.

Speaker 11 (09:47):
You know that.

Speaker 6 (09:48):
Penis rocket they're going up in sometime this spring. I
guess I would not. I mean, Katy Perry has a
young child, would never go on a trip like that.

Speaker 1 (10:02):
Well, Gail King, I'll play it right now. She talks about.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
She even asked her own kids, because I mean they're adults.
Have your mom go up to space. That's scary.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
I have to tell you.

Speaker 5 (10:09):
I'm so afraid. Stop Gail Yam, I'm so afraid.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
But I'm also so excited about it.

Speaker 9 (10:15):
It's when they asked me, and they asked me around Thanksgiving,
I was like, no, no, no.

Speaker 12 (10:20):
Then I started thinking about it, and I just thought,
what a unique opportunity.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
The Baby's rocket.

Speaker 6 (10:26):
It is a unique opportunity. It's nice to be asked,
but it's eleven minutes. It's a sub orbital flight.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
You couldn't pay me. I need, no need to go
to space for Katie.

Speaker 6 (10:40):
Firework, Yeah that's true.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
Right, yeah, you're I.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Guess fireworks probably not the right song.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
No, no, no, we do not want fireworks. That's what
you don't aboutwork.

Speaker 6 (11:02):
Sabrina Carpenter announced a new batch of North American dates.
She's going to have two dates in Pittsburgh in October,
then New York City, Nashville, Toronto, La.

Speaker 5 (11:10):
So if you want to see Sabrina, you can go
to one of those.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
Well, you know it's funny about that too, is we're
talking about yesterday. But Uh, Pittsburgh's kind of a random
place for to be going. And do you see what
she posted about it? Well, I have to go there
and do my taxes. Yeah, so she'd probably stop and
due a couple of shows to pay off her taxes
on the way she goes.

Speaker 2 (11:26):
Yeah, that is really she really is a Pennsylvania girl
going to Pittsburgh to your taxes.

Speaker 6 (11:31):
Yeah. Well, the Oscars are this Sunday. Conan O'Brien is hosting.
He's from Brookline. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Arrivo will be
opening the show and perform a song from Wicked. I
know that Arianna is nominated for Best Supporting Actress.

Speaker 13 (11:45):
When they announced my I was a mess. I almost collapsed.

Speaker 7 (11:48):
It become a sudden like burst of text messaging and
phone calls and all that show.

Speaker 13 (11:53):
Yeah, my mom called instantly, and then my best friend's
Aaron and Doug called, and my team called, and then
like my therapist and then and then and then even
my like ecologists and.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
Did your therapist really call you?

Speaker 9 (12:10):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (12:10):
Okay, but the guy a collegists that's a little weird that.

Speaker 13 (12:16):
No, she was it was lovely. I was like, oh
my god, it's been a while. Will be good.

Speaker 4 (12:24):
It's our first ever OSCAR nomination too.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
Yeah, totally, this is huge for her.

Speaker 6 (12:29):
Six powerhouse women will be performing, including Ariana, Cynthia Rivo,
Lisa from Black Pin will be on stage. Docha, cat Ray,
Queen Latifa will all perform during the show.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I love Queen Latifa. I don't get enough of her anymore.

Speaker 6 (12:43):
She's doing a tribute to Quincy Jones.

Speaker 1 (12:46):
Oh, I love that.

Speaker 6 (12:47):
I love this really cool and I wanted to should
I mention the wicked news that we.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
Have in Lisa.

Speaker 1 (12:52):
It's your news, you can break it right now.

Speaker 6 (12:55):
I just confirmed that Gregory Maguire, who wrote Wicked, is
a low author and he will be doing My book
club on May twenty first.

Speaker 4 (13:04):
Now huge, this is again, that's amazingly, I mean, the
biggest movie of what last couple of years.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
Yeah, and he's his book Elfie is coming out in March,
and that's the.

Speaker 5 (13:13):
Prequel, so that's amazing. I can't wait to read. Yeah,
this is huge.

Speaker 6 (13:16):
So I hope the movie does really well at the Oscars.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
That would be awesome.

Speaker 6 (13:21):
I also want to talk about Timothy shallow May because
he's nominated for Best Actor for a Complete unknown. He
plays Bob Dylan. But we have a really interesting piece
of sound, but.

Speaker 3 (13:30):
It always sounded too clean. The recording equipment's too clean.
Now the guitars are too good.

Speaker 12 (13:35):
Bob Dylan was drinking two bottles of red wine a day,
sometimes smoking thirty packs cigarettes.

Speaker 4 (13:39):
Did you drink two bottles of wine and smoked thirty packs?
Sound like it?

Speaker 3 (13:42):
The smoking I did, the wine I held back on more.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
So he learned how to play the guitar. He learned
how to play the harmonica. He recorded all of the
music but then ended up singing a lot of it
live because he thought that the recording sounded too clean. Yes,
and fun fact, he never met Bob Dylan.

Speaker 1 (14:02):
Oh wow, Yeah he still hasn't. I saw the sixty
minutes with Anderson Understond was so good. He's like, I
don't and I don't think he He doesn't seem like
he really wants to meet him.

Speaker 6 (14:10):
He said it wasn't It's something that Bob wouldn't have done. Yeah, yeah,
but I still found that surprising. The Razzies will be
given out tomorrow. We like to talk about those. Guess
which one is gonna.

Speaker 1 (14:23):
Oh, the Razzies are so many Bad.

Speaker 6 (14:24):
Haven nominations Lady Gagaho, Joker Too, Joker Too. The other
one is Madam Webb. That was awful, awful anyway. Justin
it's new music.

Speaker 3 (14:36):
Friday is we cover new music every single Friday, not
just on the Billy and Lisa Show. On Kiss want
to Wait all day long? Benson Boone has a brand
new song. We're gonna play the whole thing at seven
fifteen fifteen right around there anyway. It's called Sorry I'm
here for someone Else. Oh, so.

Speaker 11 (14:54):
News.

Speaker 4 (14:56):
It's good to see.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
Cad and Mikey. I know you had the early teas
yesterday on this song. Yeah, what's the reaction so far?

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Right when it came out? Came about six pm last night.
We worked here to first actually on Kiss, which is
pretty cool. People like it so far. Definitely one of
those songs where you have to like listen to each
lyric and try and figure out, like what is he
really saying? And it's interesting because when we were with
him not too long ago on the North End eating Estraga,
he was saying, you guys are gonna love the new music.
He was very excited about the song.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
Well, he says the song started out as a as
a ballad on the piano. It was kind of he
was kind of sad and at the time, then he
turned it into kind of more like an eppy.

Speaker 14 (15:37):
The day that we wrote this song, I was I
was having a pretty weird day. I was in my
head a little bit and emotional, and I just walked
in and when I first.

Speaker 12 (15:48):
Started writing that chorus, like sorry, I'm c for someone else.
Writing everything on a piano, it definitely takes things a
little slower and softer and sadder, And it ended up
being a really fun day at the end it where
we were all just like throwing in ad libs and
messing around, and that song definitely kind of kind of
did a little one eighty and turned into something that,

(16:09):
in my opinion, is really like fun energy and a
good vibe.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
You'll hear the whole song and the new music Friday
around dround seven fifteen this morning. Also brand new this
week Lizzo, who's been out of the spotlight. She kind
of took a break a little controversy, but she's back.
Here's a new song that's called love in Real Life.
Not sure how we feel you.

Speaker 5 (16:30):
Real Life.

Speaker 2 (16:37):
Thanks different sound for her that's going to be in
some like wrong com in like two years, Like.

Speaker 1 (16:43):
That's what that gives.

Speaker 6 (16:44):
Like.

Speaker 2 (16:44):
I don't think it's unnecessarily a radio hit, but I
think it could be commercially used for like a girl
walking like out of her dorm room.

Speaker 3 (16:53):
Or something little swaggering. Yeah, I'm just surprised that was
the first single back after all the silence. Yeah, maybe
we got I heard a few more times. That's all.
And real quick Chapel. Roan has a brand new single.
She's been teasing it for months. It's called The Giver.
I don't have a release date yet, but she did
give us a fresh new tease this week.

Speaker 14 (17:11):
And nothing to say.

Speaker 3 (17:25):
Yeah, a little country Vibrary Chapel. Everybody's gone that country
everyhow we love a Giver? Thank you?

Speaker 5 (17:33):
Oh my god? All right, are we.

Speaker 4 (17:35):
Doing sussed that one for a second?

Speaker 5 (17:38):
No, I always when he's going with that? All right,
So we have one more story.

Speaker 6 (17:45):
So Tate McCrae and Shane Gillis are hosting NSL this
weekend and they released a promo It's so funny.

Speaker 4 (17:51):
Hi, I'm Shane Gillis and I'll be hosting s NO
this week with Tate McCrae. Wow.

Speaker 15 (17:55):
I'm just realizing right now.

Speaker 4 (17:56):
That our name is rhyme.

Speaker 3 (17:57):
It's true Shane, Jane and Tane McCray.

Speaker 5 (18:00):
My name's Tate McCray.

Speaker 3 (18:02):
I'm so tain of you.

Speaker 1 (18:04):
I love it.

Speaker 5 (18:05):
I can't wait.

Speaker 6 (18:05):
And by the way, coming up at seven to ten,
your first shot at the match game.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
Guess what we have.

Speaker 6 (18:10):
We have a Tate McCray fly away to Nashville that
could be yours. And all you need to do is
play be Caller twenty five. It's really easy, and I
think that's it for me. So this hour's entertainment is
brought to you by one of my most favorite places,
the ninety nine Restaurant.

Speaker 5 (18:24):
It's here.

Speaker 6 (18:24):
The Prime Rib Dinner is back at the nine sixteen

Speaker 4 (19:27):
There really is a lot in there.

Speaker 9 (19:28):
Wait.

Speaker 4 (19:28):
I was talking to Billy about Azors, which is one
of the giveaways. I never realized living in Bosmon my
whole life, that it's that short of a fight. Yeah,
it's not a long fight to something really cool.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Oh yeah, you could do a long weekend, which is.

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Exactly what Billy's doing right perfect four and a half hours.

Speaker 2 (19:43):
Thankfully we got the Done out the way the v
Bros Night Out.

Speaker 1 (19:45):
So now wild.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Wild story.

Speaker 3 (19:52):
This is a true story justin Okay.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
I legitimately had a dream last night because I think
about waking up and being with you guys morning. I
legitimately hadn't dreamed that Whenny was gonna be nice to me?

Speaker 1 (20:05):
God not.

Speaker 4 (20:11):
I look up the fire this morning, started driving here.
I was like, oh my god, I hadn't dream that
when he was nice to me?

Speaker 7 (20:17):
Is it not?

Speaker 1 (20:19):
And then you welcome.

Speaker 5 (20:22):
Now it's the nightmare.

Speaker 3 (20:25):
We deal with it every day.

Speaker 16 (20:26):
I this morning spreading joy and positivity wherever she.

Speaker 4 (20:33):
Poor lady earlier was like my husband's getting shoulder surgery,
or when he's.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
Like, oh yeah, she's you know, she's she has empathy
for some things, but mostly you can choose.

Speaker 4 (20:44):
She doesn't Happy Friday.

Speaker 17 (20:47):
It's the mayor of the South Bend. It's time this
Sunday for the Gay super Bowl, or what I like
to call the Oscars. Here are my favorites, Demi Moore
for Best Actress, Timothy Schlemy for Best Actor, Love Him,
and for Best Picture. I'm going to pick a movie
I loved called a No. It's a comedy about a stripper.

(21:09):
So have a great weekend everyone, and see you down
the Castle Island for half price hot dogs.

Speaker 1 (21:16):
I will be this.

Speaker 6 (21:17):
I saw the Substance that Demi Moore is nominated for.

Speaker 3 (21:20):
It's the weirdest movie ever.

Speaker 6 (21:22):
I wish I had never seen it. I don't understand
this nomination. We were just talking about that this.

Speaker 5 (21:30):
Is something I have.

Speaker 4 (21:31):
I didn't see it, but I don't think I'm gonna
watch it now after Lisa's symptoms down review so gross.

Speaker 3 (21:36):
I haven't seen any of the movies nominated for Best Picture.

Speaker 1 (21:39):
Oh really every year, I know.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
I used to watch them all. I used to really
try to watch as many.

Speaker 5 (21:43):
Watch an that's supposed to be really good.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
No, yeah, it sounds good.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
I also do want to I love Timothy Shallome, so
I don't really have any interest in Bob Dylan, but
I would like to watch it just to see his performance.

Speaker 5 (21:54):
A complete unknown.

Speaker 3 (21:55):
Yeah, well, Oscar Sunday night. Well, we'll have the full
recap on Monday. In the meantime, let's go to call
her to Julie Is call her twenty five. Good morning, Julie,
Hey and Lisa all the morning. Warning everybody, welcome back,
Billy and Lisa's show, justin Lisa Winnie. Mikey V sitting
in for Billy Costa, who is out today. He's in Portugal.
We'll talk to him right around eight ten this morning

(22:17):
while we do the match game. But Mikey V. We
told him earlier this week he was gonna come in
and sit and I said, you know, because Mikey works
in the afternoon with the v Bro Bibros and Gianna,
so I don't really know what's going on with Mikey.
So I just said, hey, send me some things that
are going on in your life right now. And he
sent me a few things, but one stuck out in particular,
And Mikey, it has to do with a wedding. You're
going to a destination wedding.

Speaker 4 (22:36):
Yeah, it just a little travel hacket I figured out.
But yeah, I'm going to a destination wedding. And the
guy in the wedding plays in the NFL, a really
nice guy, and the girls you know, does well too.
She's a lawyer actually, but their bank account's a little
different than mine.

Speaker 1 (22:50):
Oh, Mikey, and they're and they are.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
Doing a wedding at like one of the besters or
in the entire world pretty much. And I got this
idea from somebody else, but they were like five, find
a time share slash resort very close. So I found
a timeshare slash resort right down the street. Beautiful, it's
like eight hundred dollars a night to state this like
a nice resort. And I sent them a very business
type email basically saying, hey me, my wife just got married.

(23:16):
We go to this location often. Okay, we're really shopping
around for where we want to buy a time share at.
And then this is a key one. This is when
we're check in now I am so is the key.
And then you find their competitor and say, we a
lot of friends are recommended this place. We're thinking about

(23:36):
checking them up. We really want to give you a shot.
And then you go through all this. You make them
feel like you want to go to this.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
To tour the properties, see the properties, potentially buy.

Speaker 4 (23:47):
We're going to be out there these dates would love
to come by, and then their marketing team ends up
calling you and saying, hey, a one time opportunity. We'd
love to have you check it out. We'll give you
four nights for this price. Like example, say it was
going to be eight hundred dollars a night. It's like
one hundred dollars a night now. And all the thing
is I have to go to like a ninety minute seminar. Yeah,

(24:09):
so where I've just trying to sell you that the seminar,
and they're like, you know, come prepared. You have to
make the decision that day, bring a major credit card,
your checkbook, da da da da, And so I have
to sit in the seminar like yeah, you know what.
And then the end of it, obviously I'm going to
be like I just don't think it was for me,
Like my wife didn't like something.

Speaker 5 (24:29):
So will they kick you out?

Speaker 11 (24:30):
Though?

Speaker 5 (24:30):
If you don't?

Speaker 4 (24:30):
I ask this question, if I don't do it, does
my rate go up? Is anything? Like?

Speaker 6 (24:34):
No?

Speaker 4 (24:34):
Just a one time thing. You can never do it again.
So realistically, instead of spending four or five thousand dollars
on hotel, I'm spending like four hundred and eight bucks.

Speaker 1 (24:41):
Oh I'm doing this.

Speaker 5 (24:43):
That is a good scale.

Speaker 4 (24:44):
I love it. There's so many backfires, justin as if
they're listening right now.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
Also, what if the timeshare pitch is during the wedding
or a part of the wedding?

Speaker 1 (24:53):
Oh, come on, those type of things. They do them
all Ye, they all day.

Speaker 5 (24:56):
You can schedule your point.

Speaker 3 (24:58):
But I think that I would tell these are the
days I can do it all right? Are you hurting
from money?

Speaker 4 (25:03):
No, I wouldn't say I'm hurting. I mean I think
money's tightened around the whole country right now.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
I mean true, but we know, we all know he
can't afford this trip.

Speaker 2 (25:10):
But he's doing the he's showing the right that he
works for him, and I appreciate that.

Speaker 3 (25:14):
I don't know. I don't know if I could do it, really,
I wouldn't do anything wrong. And thereby no, you're not
doing anything wrong.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
They pay to get people to come and go to
these timeshare pictures.

Speaker 5 (25:22):
I think he's working the system. I think it's actually
a good.

Speaker 3 (25:25):
Say, yeah, I don't. They're very pushy too those times.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
Yes, I would say, there are people will probably do
what I'm doing right now and end up getting the
time triggers there, pushy. The funny thing will be if
I come back after this tip like guys, yeah, I
got it.

Speaker 3 (25:40):
No, y totally.

Speaker 17 (25:42):
No.

Speaker 3 (25:43):
Before he left for Portugal, I told him the story,
and you know what happened to him. He did this
years ago. He did the time share a pitch for
a cheaper rate and they got him, and he spent
thirty two grand on a timeshare.

Speaker 5 (25:54):
He can never get out of the timeshare.

Speaker 3 (25:56):
Yeah, well took years.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Thankfully, I'll do this. I don't have thirty two and
so I'll be sorry. It's out of my budget. Can't
make it work. Won't be coming here though, No, Listen,
I will stay on business. Why I'm not going to
buy it. But I love.

Speaker 3 (26:09):
This idea, Mike. You just planned when he's next vacation.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
The next five, the next five, Well you can just
go shoot up a bunch of emails and.

Speaker 1 (26:16):
Pick whatever it takes me as who all go?

Speaker 3 (26:19):
Do they know like the person getting married your friend?
Do they know what you're doing?

Speaker 16 (26:25):
No?

Speaker 4 (26:25):
I can't imagine they do. I don't think they're worried
about where Mike, where I'm staying. They're playing their wedding,
although it would be a little back so they find
out now. But I didn't.

Speaker 5 (26:33):
They didn't.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
They give you like a reduced rate as part of
the wedding party at the hotel in.

Speaker 1 (26:38):
The wedding block.

Speaker 4 (26:39):
The taking a different hotel. This hotel is very nute.
Even that that hotel rate would be like.

Speaker 2 (26:44):
Too much now, I believe because my friends getting married
in Mexico and his like block reduce rate was like
still out of my price.

Speaker 1 (26:51):
And I'm like, honey, having a very.

Speaker 4 (26:54):
Yeah, nice wedding and they deserve it, so but I
just can't afored to be at the hotel.

Speaker 3 (26:59):
And when's that one?

Speaker 9 (26:59):
Is that?

Speaker 3 (27:00):
When is it at the wedding?

Speaker 4 (27:01):
Actually it's been March.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
Yeah, oh it's coming up soon. Yeah wow. All right, Well,
if you need a floater.

Speaker 4 (27:06):
Like come on because my wife can't make it, Justine steven.

Speaker 3 (27:09):
In, Yeah, I'm spending money anyway. This is the topic today.
Is it cheap or not? Or you know, do you
know someone that's cheap? Are you a cheap would you
do this?

Speaker 11 (27:17):
Uh?

Speaker 3 (27:18):
That's our topic for topic time. Call us at six one,
seven nine three one, or you can record your message
right into your phone via the talk back feature on
the iHeartRadio app. Just tap that red microphone when you're
listening to us on Kiss one and weight join the conversation.
Topic time is next.

Speaker 6 (27:34):
Now it's topic time for the Billy and Lisa in
the morning.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
Yeah, and that topic for the day is all about
well time shares, travel hacks being cheap. Mikey V headed
for a wedding next month in March of destination wedding,
it's very expensive. Yeah, so you're gonna do the timeshare
thing where you get basically a discounted rate, but you
have to sit in a ninety minute meeting. Right, Let's
be clear.

Speaker 4 (27:56):
I'm not doing a timeshare thing, and I'm not writing
this check, got I. But I'm going there where there
is something I'm going to go to, like a little meeting,
a little like you know, if I bring some food,
they try and nvince you to buy this time share
that I have to find a way. I say no.

Speaker 6 (28:08):
Well, the way you set it up is so perfect
and so believable.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
When you just got married.

Speaker 6 (28:13):
You guys are this attractive couple and you're looking around.

Speaker 1 (28:16):
Can you for me that email?

Speaker 4 (28:18):
I'll share it. I send an email, and then you
end up getting a discided discounting rate, which is like
super discounted because you're going for the time share.

Speaker 3 (28:28):
You said earlier or earlier this week when you were
going to sit in you said that, you know, talk
being on in the morning is like your super Bowl.
This is winning Super.

Speaker 2 (28:36):
I am going to start right now for for summer break.
We have two weeks off and like one in August,
one in July. I have nothing going on right now,
so I will be starting right now.

Speaker 4 (28:45):
When are you going to go on tour with this idea?
Your time?

Speaker 3 (28:51):
You're back in the studio looking for a time share
getting banned from all right, time share is most wanted.
So that's the topic right six, one, seven, or just
leave us a talkback on the iHeartRadio app. Let's go
to Mary in Rhode Island online one. Good morning, Mary,
thank you for joining the show. Good morning now, Mary,

(29:12):
have you done this or would you do this? This
timeshare scam? Is that what we're calling in the hot scam?

Speaker 18 (29:17):
I'm totally just I'm disappointed that I didn't think of
it myself. We are going in one in April. We
were at a heat last year. They were actually walking
around selling a four day, four night, five day vacation
for three hundred dollars and you have to do the
hot time share. You have a year to use it.

(29:38):
So we're going in April. But this idea is even
better because now I can have more vacation and it's
not cheap.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
It's smartly. We call this travel hacking. Any ways to
do it, this point system says, you know, I love that.

Speaker 3 (29:53):
I'm looking at all the talkbackers and I see that
the phones. This is a popular.

Speaker 5 (29:57):
Thing that people are doing.

Speaker 3 (29:59):
Yeah, the same hack, like the same kind of similar thing.
But sometimes they given him buy it though. You gotta
be careful with that, Mike. You got to say no, Hey.

Speaker 6 (30:06):
Guys, it's Meghan from Middleborough.

Speaker 3 (30:08):
I did this exact same thing that I didn't get
the free hotel.

Speaker 16 (30:12):
I just sign up because I wanted a free free
tickets to Orlando for my kids. Went to the seminar,
ends up getting roped.

Speaker 5 (30:21):
In to find the timeshare, never use it and never.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Went to a wind though.

Speaker 6 (30:25):
I am one of those suckers, So don't fall for it.

Speaker 4 (30:29):
Great idea that you gotta say no, I really I
might have to become of a checkbook that has no
account attached to bounce check it.

Speaker 3 (30:37):
Yeah, well they're really good. Apparently they're really good salespeople.

Speaker 6 (30:41):
See, I would be the sucker. Would I would buy
in when I didn't want to.

Speaker 3 (30:45):
Yeah, they might make it sound so great they do.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
To be honest.

Speaker 5 (30:48):
Now I'm warmed and they make it sound so cheap.

Speaker 3 (30:51):
Yeah, all right, Well, Karen's and Hall apparently she's done
the same thing. Is that right, Karen?

Speaker 15 (30:57):
Yes, I've done it. But I got a all from
them for promotion for one ninety nine for four nights,
and so I went and I had to do the
ninety minute. I didn't buy, but they are very pushy
and they really try to get you to buy. But
they called me all the time and offered me one

(31:19):
ninety nine for four nights. They even offered me a
cruise for seven nights for one ninety nine.

Speaker 4 (31:24):
To give me some advice, what is the best way
for me to say no? At the end of this
ninety minute seminar, you really.

Speaker 15 (31:33):
Just have to like kind of get up and walk
away run.

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Wait, Karen, is it one a night or one ninety
nine for.

Speaker 3 (31:43):
The whole trip?

Speaker 15 (31:44):
One night nine for the whole trip?

Speaker 5 (31:47):
Yeah, that's you can't be that's insane.

Speaker 15 (31:50):
Yeah, you have to pay for your airfare, but the
hotel day was one ninety nine.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Wow, All right, well, thank you for joining the show, Karen. Weekend,
Let's go to Kim in Weymouth, who also did the
timeshare thing. Is that right, Kim?

Speaker 1 (32:06):
I did.

Speaker 15 (32:07):
Yes, I did the timeshare thing in Mexico.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Wait, you did the timeshare thing to get a discounted
on your hotel.

Speaker 15 (32:14):
No, so I It actually wasn't even that grade of
a prize. It was I just got one hundred dollars
to like.

Speaker 19 (32:22):
My husband and I got one hundred dollars like a
nice dinner or the spa. It was literally for one
hundred dollars.

Speaker 5 (32:28):
But I did it.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
See that's see the see Kim's They do these anyways,
but Kim, because she was probably already there. They're like, oh,
just you know, come sit here and we'll give you
a hundred dollars to the resort. Whereas Mikey pre planned
and said, hey, I'm thinking about coming down, and they're like, well,
come on down, smart movie.

Speaker 1 (32:44):
Yes it is.

Speaker 3 (32:45):
And how long is the the timeshare pitch thing? Mikey
ninety minute? Ninety minutes?

Speaker 19 (32:50):
Hey guys, just you know, Mikey, be prepared. It will
be a nineteen minute meeting. They will raging out and.

Speaker 16 (32:57):
It will take about four hours.

Speaker 15 (32:59):
They tried to take up a half a day and
try and stelly the time.

Speaker 6 (33:03):
Chet.

Speaker 4 (33:04):
Yeah, we'll getting more and more nervous the more we
talk about this. Yeah, this is going to.

Speaker 6 (33:08):
Cut into your fun time, which which is fine for
a discounting guy.

Speaker 4 (33:11):
Got yeah, you take a couple of hours of my day.
I don't want to get roped in and say yes.

Speaker 3 (33:17):
Yeah. It's so funny that every time you come on
the show, or even like around the building we have meetings,
Whennie is all over you, She's all over everybody, but
in this case, she is loving you.

Speaker 4 (33:28):
I said earlier, my dream had a dream last night
that when he was nice to me. It's coming true now.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
Yeah, okay, So the Heather's in Rhode Island and apparently
her husband was not strong enough to say no, yeah,
good morning. Is that what happened? Did your husband say
yes or no?

Speaker 11 (33:49):
Oh my gosh. Yes, we went to one we thank
you others, and this one he just he wouldn't leave
all his sister. Five hours were there and he ended up.
We have no idea how we ended up with a
three bedroom in like I know, in like Nebraska, I
forget where it was Nebraska. And you have to pay.

(34:12):
Keep in mind that it's not just the thing when
there's damage. You also have to pay that if somebody
else damages the room with it on their turn. You
also have to pay for the wreckage.

Speaker 6 (34:26):
And you're not.

Speaker 11 (34:26):
Saying all the yes, all the belongings in there, if
they're broken or anything. I split between. Look, the fifty
two people that brought a.

Speaker 4 (34:35):
Week, they must have been really convincing for you to
get a time share in Nebraska.

Speaker 11 (34:42):
I'll tell you, I don't think I think it was.
I don't know if it was a Nebraska it was,
it was not near here. And and every single other
time I wanted to buy one, and I sat there
and said, John, what are you doing? And he just
signed away, and I'm like books, because I have to
try too, So I just signed, Okay, here we go.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
Maybe maybe that's your point that my wife has to
signed to make her the bad guy.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Yes, one of you has to be the bad guy.

Speaker 6 (35:09):
Yes, have her just not come to the meeting. And
then you say, you know what, I have to.

Speaker 1 (35:12):
Talk to my wife, or you could do like he said,
good caught, bad cop.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
We're like, babe, we really should get and she's like
I'm not, We're not doing this, And that way you
really did want it.

Speaker 4 (35:21):
No, at least it's interesting in the email that make
it very clear if you're married. Your wife has to
come see.

Speaker 3 (35:28):
Yeah, they want to work one of you more.

Speaker 4 (35:30):
Yeah, yeah they want to they think the wife.

Speaker 6 (35:32):
Is going to be We got sucked in on it.
We have a time share in Cabba that we can't
get out of. We have a week we have we've
had a week for thirty years that we have that
we pay on like like one thousand dollars or something.

Speaker 5 (35:45):
My family like if my dad.

Speaker 6 (35:47):
Did it and no one ever uses it, Wow, it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (35:51):
Can I you can use it?

Speaker 1 (35:55):
That's a travel hack.

Speaker 16 (35:58):
On our honeymoon. And yes they are so my husband
was almost considering it. The best way to respond at
the end is that you don't purchase anything without giving
it a great deal of thought, and you don't buy
anything on the spot, and they'll still push and then
you just adamantly say I never buy something this big.
The same day we will get back to if they

(36:18):
tell you the deal expires, then you say, well then
I can't buy it, thank you so much. And we
did get our freestay.

Speaker 4 (36:24):
That's a good time, great step. And they do say,
come right, you have made decision right then and there.
But that's a good point. Also, at no point that
They told me how much this would cost, and I
at my out and meets like, wow, that's way more
than I expected it to cost. I really need to
think about it.

Speaker 1 (36:40):
We need an update. It's next weekend that you're gone.

Speaker 4 (36:43):
Next week it's I get back on the tensil. Maybe
they left.

Speaker 2 (36:46):
Wait, you at least text me and I'll update everybody
while you're there.

Speaker 1 (36:49):
I need to know how this goes.

Speaker 3 (36:51):
Well, let's go to Grants and Amesbury. What's up, Grant,
thanks for joining the show. Happy Friday, Hello Grants. Chris,
it's Chris. Okay, well that's not even close, but on
my screen anyway, what's going on? Chris?

Speaker 19 (37:09):
So I really got sucked into buying one years ago?

Speaker 4 (37:14):
Yeah?

Speaker 19 (37:15):
Yeah, so I was.

Speaker 6 (37:16):
So.

Speaker 19 (37:16):
I was just in my early twenties and they're like, yeah,
we'll give you, like, we'll give you like two hundred
