Speaker 1 (00:00):
Now this morning show in Boston.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 3 (00:04):
It's just a great start to my day on kids Runaways.
Speaker 4 (00:08):
Okay, Happy hump Day.
Speaker 1 (00:12):
Hump Day, Yeah it is.
Speaker 5 (00:14):
It is welcome inn It's the Billy and Lisa Morning Show.
We've got so much to talk about this morning, so
much to talk about.
Speaker 4 (00:22):
First things.
Speaker 5 (00:22):
First, did anybody ever track down mikey v in Los Angeles?
He was at the after party for the Bachelor finale.
Speaker 6 (00:29):
What happened was exactly what we predicted. He set his
alarm for eight ten his time in California because he
was in La so eleven ten he woke up instead
of eight ten hour time makes sense. But he'll join
us this morning.
Speaker 4 (00:42):
Okay, all right, And what's going on?
Speaker 3 (00:45):
Is he still in La He's back.
Speaker 4 (00:46):
He flew back yesterday. Okay, okay, so there's that.
Speaker 5 (00:50):
But speaking of the Bachelor at Lisa just came running
down the hall because she she got some breaking Bachelor news.
Speaker 4 (00:56):
What's going on now?
Speaker 3 (00:58):
Checks in the office posted this yesterday. I got a
lot of dms about it. So Golden Bachelor contestants and
Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants will be together for the first
time for Bachelor in Paradise this summer, and we have
the two Golden Bachelor and bachelorette names. It's going to
be Leslie who was in Gary season. She was the
(01:19):
runner up, she was the dancer, the dated prince. And
then we have Gary Levingston who was on Joe season.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
He was the sweet, nerdy guy's glasses. Yeah, he was
so sweet. I think she friend zoned him pretty early though.
Definitely she kept him just because she likes definitely.
Speaker 3 (01:35):
And Zoe who was just on Grant season. She was
you know, she was like third runner up.
Speaker 5 (01:40):
And what happens in Bachelor and Paradise? What's that show?
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Well, it's on a beach. They do a lot of
beach time and they all kind of hook up.
Speaker 5 (01:48):
So is there so creepy Gary the Golden Bachelor, he
was on the set for the finale the other night,
So is he going to be.
Speaker 4 (01:56):
On the island.
Speaker 3 (01:57):
They're not mentioning that, but Leslie who he was supposed
to pick?
Speaker 4 (02:01):
Leslie?
Speaker 3 (02:01):
I mean everybody thought it was Leslie. Yeah, No, it's
Leslie and Gary Lovingstone.
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Oh boy, it's going to be some get together.
Speaker 3 (02:08):
No, I can't wait for that.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Are we going to cover the Bachelor in Paradise. We
have to, we do.
Speaker 3 (02:12):
We never do Bachelor in Paradise. But I have to
tell you, with this dynamic, this is going to be interesting.
Speaker 4 (02:18):
Okay, who's going to watch it? Well?
Speaker 3 (02:22):
I will and my son Riley will.
Speaker 4 (02:24):
Do you watch it?
Speaker 1 (02:24):
Normally?
Speaker 7 (02:25):
Do not?
Speaker 3 (02:27):
Usually?
Speaker 1 (02:27):
Yeah? But this is interesting because you have people that
are twenty five and sixty five and will they date
right or will they just be age?
Speaker 3 (02:35):
This is a good dynamic.
Speaker 4 (02:36):
You actually might.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
I'm going to watch it.
Speaker 5 (02:39):
I would be willing to bet a large sum of
money that somehow Gary turns up on the eye.
Speaker 3 (02:46):
Absolutely, we'll be walking down the beach with the hitch.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Yeah. Why else would they have had him on the
set the other night? Right?
Speaker 3 (02:53):
That's it now, it makes perfect sense.
Speaker 4 (02:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (02:56):
I think they've signed a bunch of these people to
contracts for the franchise.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
I think.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
Okay, so when does that start?
Speaker 3 (03:02):
Do we know it's it's a summer show?
Speaker 1 (03:04):
Yeah, and normally it's like June July.
Speaker 5 (03:06):
Yeah, so you have to call Riley, your son Riley
Donovan and uh and make sure he's on it?
Speaker 6 (03:13):
And didn't he pick Leslie for something? To that she
was going to do something well he.
Speaker 3 (03:20):
No, he picked Joan as the person that we would
see again, and then they made her the Golden Bachelorette.
Speaker 4 (03:25):
That was Yeah, he's right on the money.
Speaker 5 (03:28):
You know how, I'm always convinced that they make up
the careers for the contestants. Now, I think we can
all agree that Leslie was never almost something with Prince
like that was the most creative one they've ever come
up with.
Speaker 3 (03:41):
No, she was from Minnesota, from Minneapolis.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
It was a lot of people are from Minnesota.
Speaker 1 (03:47):
I think she showed pictures like they were dating. She
was a backup dance.
Speaker 4 (03:49):
She was really Yeah.
Speaker 3 (03:51):
I mean she's beautiful.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
She's beautiful and at sixty five, however, she's very fit. Yep,
she still does like a lot of acts.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
I thought Wendy and Lisa were the backups for Prince.
I never heard the name.
Speaker 1 (04:03):
They were in the band, yes, okay, and this is Wendy.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
Yeah, he never mentioned Leslie.
Speaker 6 (04:10):
It's Winny, this is Lisa, this is Wendy.
Speaker 4 (04:16):
This is hilarious to me.
Speaker 5 (04:19):
I feel that they did really do a deep dive
on Leslie and see if there are any pictures of her.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
They showed them. They did.
Speaker 4 (04:27):
It's beautiful, strikingly beautiful.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
She is.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
I'm gonna try it. I'm gonna find it right.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
I just couldn't believe that Gary picked Teresa. That was
just like, what is he doing?
Speaker 5 (04:36):
Okay, so we'll be talking more about the Bachelor. We're
gonna hear from Grant coming up in the entertainment in
a couple of minutes. But there's a big event getting
underway tonight at the TD Garden. It's the World's Figure
Skating Championships. At Lisa, weren't you a figure skater?
Speaker 3 (04:50):
No, I was a gymnast.
Speaker 6 (04:53):
Now I thought it was figure skating.
Speaker 4 (05:00):
You know who's going to be there? Anyone want to guess? Oh?
You know who mister goes to every event in Boston. Nobody.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Oh, oh the Mayor.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Good morning, it's the Mayor of the South End.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
And I have my tickets. I'm very excited.
Speaker 8 (05:14):
I'm going to see the World Championships of Figure Skating.
It's over at the TV Bank North Garden and I'm
going to see the skater Ilia Medlinen. He's known as
the quad God. That means he does a quadriple axle.
Do I love men's figure skating? Of course, I do
have a great day everyone.
Speaker 4 (05:35):
Yeah, this is a big event.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
This is the first time in like thirty two years
or something the World Figure Skating Championships were in Boston.
I think there are tickets available, and I think if
you go to meet Boston dot Com you can get
some tickets. But all the best are in and I
guess it's a preamble to the Olympics.
Speaker 4 (05:50):
So yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
And then also they just had in the same community
they had that crash. You know, they lost a lot
of young skaters.
Speaker 3 (05:56):
They're doing a memorial today.
Speaker 5 (05:57):
Yeah, it's actually this whole event is hosted by the
Skating Club of Boston, which faced that ridiculous tragedy. I
think it was two months ago. Anyway, that's going on.
Go to meet Boston dot com. It'd be a nice
take in for the family. The World Figure Skating Championships.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Oh, I know, we're out of time here. I did
find Leslie talking.
Speaker 4 (06:14):
About Oh we gotta go. We'll hold it.
Speaker 5 (06:17):
We'll start with that in the entertainment, which is up
just ten minutes from.
Speaker 9 (06:22):
The Planet Fitness Kiss one O eight studios.
Speaker 3 (06:25):
But we're back with the Billy and Lisa in the morning.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
Hey, guys. So welcome back and heavy Wednesday.
Speaker 5 (06:32):
So we've got entertainment ready to go before we get
to the actual entertainment report.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
Justin.
Speaker 5 (06:37):
I'm looking at a story right now. I think it's
the local newspaper in Ipswich suggesting that there's going to
be some sort of an EDG. Sharon event at a
makeshift to Ipswich bar this Friday.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
Am I right with this? You are? You are right, Billy.
Speaker 6 (06:53):
Details are scant, they're they're teasing this with clues, but
apparently Ed Sharon is opening a pub in Ipswich Friday
for one day only. It's gonna be called called the
Old Phone. Now that's all really the details they're not saying.
They're just saying that it's gonna it's gonna be maybe
an Ed Sharon experience. It's for one day only, and
(07:15):
there's a number that you can text. We encourage people
to text this number. It is nine one seven nine
oh nine four four nine eight. Keep an eye on
Ed's Instagram and you can go to the Oldphone pub
dot com.
Speaker 5 (07:29):
All right, So we're not saying he's gonna be there neither.
We don't know, but I'm sort of an Ed Sharan
night this coming Friday night in Ipswich. That's correct, all right, boy.
And he was when we were on vacation. He was
at the dublin Er in in South Bust.
Speaker 6 (07:43):
Showed up last minute. And by the way, Ed Sharon
is lived in Ipswich, England, three years old. And he's
a huge supporter of the Ipswich Town Football Club and
actually was is a minority stakeholder in that club, Ipswitch
get it, Ipswich Soccer Club.
Speaker 4 (08:00):
Yeah, they call it football there. But yeah, so we'll
keep an eye on it. All right.
Speaker 10 (08:03):
Let's go now the entertainment update with a Billy Cops.
Speaker 4 (08:08):
We're going to start with the Patriots.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
They signed wide receiver Stefan Diggs to a three year,
sixty nine million dollar deal. Twenty six million of that
is garunteed, so Drake May has a target, a big
time wide receiver. Meantime, the Souths take their six game
winning streak to Phoenix tonight. Red Sox will open their
season tomorrow against the Rangers in Texas. The Fenway Park
(08:32):
opener is April fourth against the Cardinals and the World
Figure Skating Championship ships kickoff tonight at the TD Garden
hosted by the Skating Club of Boston. It was just
two months ago six members of the club were killed
in that horrible, horrible tragedy. But this is a big event.
It's kind of a preamble to the Olympic Games. The
(08:54):
best skaters in the world in Boston starting tonight, and
my guess is you could go to meet Boston dot com.
There are tickets available. That's going to be a big night,
starts tonight. So Ben Affleck is opening up about his
breakup with j Lo and Lisa. You've got part of
his interview.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Well, he told British gek it's a cover story. It
was published yesterday that he insists that there was no scandal,
no soap opera, no intrigue that ultimately caused their split
and their marriage to be over. He also said that
the reason I don't want to share this is because
it's sort of embarrassing. He said he still feels vulnerable,
(09:31):
and he shed some light. He said that she really
liked being in the spotlight and putting everything out there
about their relationship, and he didn't really like that.
Speaker 5 (09:38):
You know, we always hear about celebrities taking time to
be with the family. I think that's something Ben should
do for a while.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Well, that's what he's takes.
Speaker 4 (09:46):
Time be with the family and don't feel the need to.
Speaker 3 (09:50):
He credits Jen Garner. He says that she's a great
co parent of their kids. So he said really nice
things about her, and he says he really respects Jayla.
Speaker 4 (09:57):
I ask a question, didn't he know that before he married?
Speaker 1 (10:01):
I was sinking the same thing.
Speaker 4 (10:02):
Well, he knew who he was married. This was the
second time around. Okay, Ben yeh hey.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
And he's pushing the accountant too, that's why he's been
doing on this press.
Speaker 4 (10:12):
Oh the accountant too. I can't wait. First one was
a gem Yeah.
Speaker 5 (10:16):
Meantime, Nikki Glazer was on Going To's Goop podcast and
says at one point she was trying to match with
Ben Affleck on that celebrity dating app.
Speaker 4 (10:25):
But Rya here it is.
Speaker 7 (10:26):
Even though you wanted to her boyfriend on Ria or
her husband's Wait wait, which one was that?
Speaker 4 (10:31):
Ben Affleck? Oh?
Speaker 1 (10:32):
Yeah, oh, I definitely.
Speaker 11 (10:35):
When I used to be on Ryan and he would
come across very concentrated check mark yes and like never
getting it back. There were so many celebrities that I
saw on.
Speaker 7 (10:44):
Rya celebrities then riah, oh my god, I think his
face came up for me so many times multiple it
would have been a good one, right, well, or I'm
sure he just.
Speaker 11 (10:55):
Didn't see my profile even though I clicked on his
million Like, you know, they'll keep serving up the same
people like again and again for some reason. So every
time I'm like yes, like duh, you know this is
years and years ago. I don't want to put anything
out there, but like, yes, yes, yes, And I know
I know for a fact he had to have seen
my profile.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
And gone nope, no.
Speaker 11 (11:15):
Why do they keep because sometimes they send people that
you keep saying no to.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
So like I would have matched with him if he
was internawed.
Speaker 11 (11:21):
I regrets it, I'm sure now, but like why not then, Yeah,
because I hadn't seen doctor Diamond yet.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
Now, I love Nicki Glazer. I think we all love
Nicki Glazer. I don't see her with Ben.
Speaker 3 (11:35):
Oh it still could happen, right, I mean, well, Nicki,
he's with a boyfriend, but they're both technically still.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Yeah, yeah, they're not married.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
They're not married.
Speaker 5 (11:44):
And again, I think Ben needs a little time with family. Yeah,
just kind of walk away from everything for a while
so Miley Cyrus has an album and a movie on
the way. The film is set to drop in June.
The album May thirtieth. The first trailer for the film,
which by the way, is called something Beautiful.
Speaker 4 (12:00):
We've got a clip if they break.
Speaker 1 (12:01):
Away, anybody's between us?
Speaker 4 (12:05):
Would you promise.
Speaker 1 (12:09):
If they give you all?
Speaker 4 (12:15):
I like Miley Cyrus. I'll bet it's gonna be good.
I'll bet it's gonna be good.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Meantime, the new series Adolescence on Netflix is breaking records
the most watched limited series in its first two weeks.
A family's world turned upside down when their thirteen year
old son is arrested for killing a teenage girl. We
have a clip that's reading what they're doing.
Speaker 12 (12:39):
It's a cool talk about the menusphe eight percent of
women are attracted to twenty percent of men.
Speaker 11 (12:46):
You must trick them because you'll never get them in
a normal way.
Speaker 4 (12:50):
But are not wrong?
Speaker 13 (12:51):
Are we?
Speaker 4 (12:54):
Yeah? It's four apps. I watched all four.
Speaker 6 (12:56):
It was one of the most powerful series I've watched
in a long time. Really tough to watch as a parent.
But it should be noted that all four episodes are
one hour in length with zero Edits so that's one
hour of a straight shot.
Speaker 4 (13:10):
They don't cut the camera. And Brad Pitt is executive
producer on this series.
Speaker 6 (13:15):
Yeah, and you know it goes into obviously thirteen year
olds accused of killing his classmate, but it goes into
the internet, social media in high school boys.
Speaker 4 (13:24):
Yeah, male rage the manisphere.
Speaker 3 (13:27):
I'm going to skip this one. Yeah, it's tough to
watch that teenage point.
Speaker 10 (13:30):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (13:30):
I have come so close several times to starting that series,
and for some reason I'd say, oh, maybe in another day.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
I started it and it's good.
Speaker 4 (13:38):
It's good.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
I'm only episode one and I had a stop halfway through.
But it's funny justin that you said the one shot.
Because I didn't realize it until you told me that.
I'm like, oh my god, you're right. It is one shot.
They just follow it's like a documentary.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
Well think about that.
Speaker 6 (13:49):
They're an hour so forty minutes in, someone messes up
a line, they have to start all over.
Speaker 4 (13:55):
Right. Yeah, I may start it today. There you go
my life. My wife turned it off.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
Yeah, it's just I'd rather watch Severance.
Speaker 4 (14:05):
There we Go, drives you crazy.
Speaker 3 (14:08):
I'd rather watch that.
Speaker 1 (14:10):
Sep I finished a season one of severance.
Speaker 4 (14:14):
Wow, really good. Right to watch? Oh God, hop on
Bill someday.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
Meantime, Will Smith is still trying to make a comeback
after his ten year Oscars band, the so called slap
Herd around the world.
Speaker 4 (14:27):
Here's what he's saying.
Speaker 14 (14:28):
I am looking to be the best human I can
possibly be, and I'm gonna take what I get with that.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
I got to tell you something to this day, one
of the nicest people I've ever met.
Speaker 4 (14:43):
You know, the slap was weird.
Speaker 5 (14:44):
I know Will has gotten weird, but I can still
tell you one of the nicest people I've ever met.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
I love to hear that because I grew up. But
you know, he's an icon, amazing. But what happened, I
just can't. I just don't understand that happened. Yeah, but
you're here a fifty year old man. Will like, I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (15:00):
It was just it was just there was a lot
of rage.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
It's weird.
Speaker 6 (15:04):
Yeah, I'm a Bill interviewed Well in nineteen ninety before
when Fresh Prince launched. Remember that though Fresh Prince had
just came out, he went to his hotel room.
Speaker 12 (15:14):
Oh the last time you were in town. This thing
was like in the developmental stages. It was like, oh, yeah, okay,
good good TV show. Yeah, like, no, it's a TV show.
So with that in mind, do you kind of have
to get up in the morning and pinch yourself every
day to try to realize whether or not this is
all a dream or reality or what.
Speaker 4 (15:31):
Well, you know, it's it happened so fast, you know.
Speaker 14 (15:33):
It's like, you know, everyone saying, well, you seem pretty
calm about it, but it's like, you know, I can't
see what everybody else sees. All I know is that
you know, I did the pilot. It's a good pilot,
you know, but I've only done the one show.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
Where did you find that? I did?
Speaker 5 (15:49):
Go into the Billy Archives that night is one of
the reasons I call him one of the nicest people
I've ever met. You have to imagine. It was at
the Roxy in Boston, Okay, which is now something else,
and he was there with DJ Jazzy Jeff, and I
was there with a scheduled interview with Will, and Will
came up. He couldn't have been nicer and he said,
(16:09):
you know, what, could you do me a favor?
Speaker 4 (16:11):
And uh, here's the key to my room.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
Just make sure you knock if you want to go
upstairs and wait for me in my hotel room. And
his wife was in the room at the time, and
he was sending me up there like totally trustworthy, like
he couldn't have been nicer. And then he came years
later and did the Kiss concert with DJ Jazzy Jeff,
and again, couldn't have been nicer.
Speaker 4 (16:30):
So cool.
Speaker 6 (16:30):
Yeah, it just shot the pilot for Fresh Prince Fresh
Imagine one of the greatest shows of all time.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Billy's old radio voice kills me.
Speaker 4 (16:39):
How does that fear for him?
Speaker 5 (16:40):
It's not the voice, it's the quality of the tape
that we had.
Speaker 1 (16:43):
Another thing, your voice is so different.
Speaker 4 (16:46):
I think that's on a cassette.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
How did you get the pictures?
Speaker 4 (16:51):
Want to?
Speaker 13 (16:55):
So?
Speaker 5 (16:59):
By the Will has an album and a tour on
the way.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
It's his first album in twenty years. It comes out
this coming.
Speaker 5 (17:06):
Friday, and it features Big Sean, DJ Jazzy Jeff, his
son Jayden, and Kanye's Sunday Service Choir.
Speaker 4 (17:14):
Interesting, that was a weird choice.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Yeah. I would love to see him on tour though,
just because I've never seen him perform or been anywhere
near him live.
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Okay, how about this Grant the New Bachelor on the
podcast yesterday calling It's called Bachelor Happy Hour, and he
says he almost spoiled the entire season. Listen carefully because
he mentions mikey V.
Speaker 15 (17:36):
Here, I almost spoiled the season myself. So I just
it was like it was like I was, I was struggling.
Speaker 4 (17:41):
I was struggling.
Speaker 15 (17:42):
So there was a night where she sent me it
was New Year's Eve and it was and I liked
one of her pictures because I thought it was like
I thought it was like a post. No, I liked
one of I didn't like one of her pictures. I
liked one of the pictures she was in, but it
was from a DJ, and I liked.
Speaker 4 (17:56):
His name is Mikey V.
Speaker 15 (17:57):
And I liked his picture and I was just one
too many shots I had that night.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
Yeohw So mikey V.
Speaker 5 (18:04):
We talked about this yesterday DJ the Bachelor after party
the other night, and then slept over at Grant's house
and apparently he is calling into the show this morning.
Speaker 6 (18:15):
Well it's different waking him up in Massachusetts in LA
because we'll send producer Riley to knock on his door
in Woolburn.
Speaker 4 (18:22):
All right, we got a lot going on this morning.
I told you bright and earlier. Let's go. We got

one wait, Hey, alry So, welcome back.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
It is the Billy and Lisa Morning Show and Lisa,
the sun's out earlier than we expect.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
Yeah, it's actually looking like it's going to be a
pretty day, So temps in your fifty degrees.
Speaker 5 (19:11):
And by the way, I don't think we've talked about
this enough. We have a contest going on that I
think is one of the best contests we've ever had,
and it's all about the preset right justin.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
Yeah, we talk a lot about this new preset feature
on the iHeart app.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
Now here's the thing.
Speaker 6 (19:28):
You can set kiss as your number one preset in
your car, which we would appreciate if you did that,
But on the app on the iHeart app, which is
free to download, one of the new features that we
love is you can make kiss your number one preset.
So when you're listening to Kiss one to wait on
the app at the top, it just says make it
your preset, So you just press the button boom, so
on your home screen you can find us easily. So
(19:49):
you can make Kiss number one. The Billion Lisa Show,
Podcast number two, Lisa's book Club Podcast, After Show, all
that stuff. Okay, So in honor of that, we thought
we'd do a cool contest. Okay, So if you make
kiss one await your number one preset, take a screenshot
of it. Go to Kiss oneaweight dot com slash preset.
That's it, upload that screenshot. One lucky person will win
(20:11):
a trip to see either Gracie Abrams at LA or
New Kids in Vegas.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
You get to choose your trip.
Speaker 1 (20:18):
It's crazy.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
It's crazy, And this isn't like a big national con.
Speaker 6 (20:22):
This is here, This is just our house. Here he
is going to win one of these trips and that's
all you have to do. So I think it's important
to kind of get that messaging out to people. The
New Kids in Vegas or Gracie in La. Both huge
shows and.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
This is so easy to do. Yes to get in
on this context?
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Yeah, literally it takes I don't know, like three seconds
if you have the app or don't download it and
then just go to Kiss one to wait like search
it and then there's a button preset and then that's it.
Speaker 3 (20:47):
So easy to do. If we can do it, you
can do it.
Speaker 1 (20:49):
Billy cost To did it right, Like, I'm not kidding.
I asked it set. It was already showed me on
his app. I'm like, oh my, already.
Speaker 4 (20:57):
So do I qualify?
Speaker 1 (21:00):
But these are two huge shows?
Speaker 5 (21:02):
Yeah, either one of them is a serious flyaway. Yeah,
do you understand what we're saying. We're flying you to
one of these shows, either Gracie Abrams or The New Kids,
and all you have to do is take a screenshot
showing that you've got us or Kiss as the.
Speaker 6 (21:18):
Number one preset yep, Kiss went away dot com slash
preset and I have to give a shout out to
listener at Mackenzie. She's the one that messaged me. And
in Your Entertainment we played a clip of Grant the Bachelor, Yeah,
mentioning Mikey and she's the one that found it and
heard it and sent it to me.
Speaker 5 (21:31):
Ah.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
So she sent me kind of a video she took
of the podcast and when I clicked it, I could
see her hold her screen and it said preset for.
Speaker 4 (21:40):
A kiss, went away.
Speaker 1 (21:40):
I hope she enters the contact.
Speaker 4 (21:42):
She can enter, she can enter and send it. You
should tell her friends to enter.
Speaker 6 (21:46):
Yeah, yeah, and you know, I mean listen. We appreciate
everybody listening. And it's just an easier way to get
us every single morning.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
Yes, you know.
Speaker 1 (21:53):
And what a way to say thank you with a
trip to either Vegas or LA.
Speaker 4 (21:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (21:57):
Just all we ask is that you think of us
when you're sitting at the show in LA or Vegas.
Speaker 4 (22:02):
Send us a talk back.
Speaker 6 (22:03):
Yeah yeah, okay, who would Which one would you pick?
Speaker 3 (22:07):
I would want to see Graci Abrams in LA because
I haven't seen Gracie Abrams, so that's that's definitely my
number one.
Speaker 5 (22:15):
I would like Gracie in LA. But the new kids
would never speak to me. Again, you'd have to New Kid.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
I've seen the New Kids so many times, but I
don't I don't know. It's hard because they both like,
you have a new, up and coming artist who's huge,
and then you have an iconic Boston band Like I
don't know, it's tough.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
I know, I've seen The New Kids several times.
Speaker 3 (22:38):
Yeah, but Vegas is really fun, so I know.
Speaker 6 (22:41):
I remember the last time they were in Boston. Remember
we all went as a show. Oh yeah, And while
they were performing, we were the whole show was kind
of on the side, and once each of them realized
that Billy was in the audience, they kept in the
middle of the performers looking over at Bill and they
just stopped singing and wave. They were pointing at him.
And then Joey McIntyre the next day was on his
bus and went by your boat.
Speaker 4 (23:01):
Oh that's right. That was a funny segment.
Speaker 3 (23:03):
That was That was a nice business.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Yeah, I had no warning. He texted me on his way.
He said, Hey, I'm leaving the garden on my bike.
I'm coming by the boat.
Speaker 4 (23:10):
Is that okay? I said, come on over, I'll make
the coffee.
Speaker 6 (23:12):
Yeah, so cool. I remember you send me a picture
of them on your boat. Yeah, what crazy?
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Anyway?
Speaker 6 (23:16):
Kiss whawait dot com, slash preset, making your preset, making
your number one preset, Take a screenshot, upload it and
win a trip. And coming up next twenty three and Me.
Have you done it before? If you have, you might
be in danger? Details next, I'm.
Speaker 4 (23:30):
Kissing Billy and Lisa. It's okay, So Lisa.
Speaker 5 (23:33):
A big buzz story this morning about twenty three and
Me apparently is going under and the big question is
what does that mean for people who have used it
and their information leaking.
Speaker 3 (23:43):
Yeah, they're declaring bankruptcy or sale, and that means that
your personal data if you did a twenty three and
Me kit, could be sold or transferred. So they're asking people,
if you don't want this to happen, you need to
go to your twenty three and Me account directly within
account setting, and you can delete your information.
Speaker 4 (24:01):
And this could be ancestry information or genetic health.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
It's genetic health information. This is like a big topic
because a lot I mean you don't want like, you
don't want this flying around and going to some other companies,
so you can take it. You can actually do this
for yourself today they were having some like problems with
the site. The site was like crashing because so many
people when they heard about the bankruptcy were going into
(24:25):
try and delete the data. But everything is back up
and running, So do it today if you can.
Speaker 5 (24:30):
So wait a minute, you can actually go to them
even though they went bank.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (24:34):
So you have an account and you just go into
account settings and it will direct you you have to
submit a request and then they'll send you an email
asking users to confirm the deletion request.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Did you ever have an account?
Speaker 3 (24:45):
No, but other people in my family did it and
I did not do it. I did not feel comfortable
doing it. Glad I didn't. But this Justin and I
were talking yesterday. This brings up topics about what twenty
three meters did and what they were able to do
for people, because it really did connect people in a
lot of ways.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
You found you know, mom's dads, right sons, daughters that
you didn't know you had or you know, or separated from.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
Did you use it, Justine, No, I've never done it.
Speaker 5 (25:13):
I came close to using an ancestry site when I
recently went to Portugal because my dad his ancestors were
from San Miguel, and that's where I was going San Miguel,
and I thought maybe I should do it, but then
I decided not to.
Speaker 3 (25:26):
Well, my cousin is adopted and she used twenty three
in me and she was actually able to find her
birth mother wo through twenty three.
Speaker 4 (25:34):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (25:35):
So it did and they are connected and it's been
a positive experience. So there are some good things that
have come out of it. But you don't want your
genetic information, you know, being.
Speaker 4 (25:44):
Resold floating out there somewhere.
Speaker 1 (25:46):
They're just going to harvest your DNA. So you might
have met your long lost cousin, but now they're going
to take your DNA and do some weird stuff with it.
Speaker 6 (25:53):
Right, Yeah, I don't want anything to do with that.
I don't want, you know, find out you have kids.
You didn't know about it.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
That's the reasons.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
That's why Justin did to do it.
Speaker 4 (26:03):
I got our hands full. I don't have any kids.
I don't know about it because you didn't do.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Who never trusted this?
Speaker 1 (26:17):
I trusted it. I don't like it. I know exactly
where I came from. Thank God, you don't need to
go look into what percentage I am of this ethnicity
versus that ethnicity, like, I don't care.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
I have to tell you, and I don't think I've
ever said this before, but for most of my life,
part of me always wondered if it was possible I
was adopted, And so, yes, You've always always been in
the back of my head.
Speaker 4 (26:43):
For what reason, I don't know.
Speaker 6 (26:45):
I just don't seem you didn't seem to have the
rest of well, you didn't seem to have much of
a connection with your parents.
Speaker 5 (26:52):
Okay, really, well you talk about Okay, I never had
a conversation with my phone.
Speaker 3 (26:57):
Well do you resemble one of your parents more than
you do?
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Think so? No, you do.
Speaker 1 (27:02):
I think I saw a picture of your dad, and
you do look like your dad, if I remember correctly,
you definitely do. And your your sons and Buddy, your
nephew have a kind of resemblance to each other.
Speaker 5 (27:12):
My nephew Buddy looks just like his father. He does
just like his father.
Speaker 1 (27:16):
I've never seen. I don't think i've seen. I think
I met him one time.
Speaker 5 (27:20):
He'll becoming to town in September, because he's like a
bigger guy.
Speaker 4 (27:24):
Frank, Yeah, he's short and stocky.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
But I feel like your your boys and their cousins
have like a resemblance to each They look like, Yeah,
so I do think that your brothers. I do think
that you and Frank are brothers. And you guys are
all born within one year, like your sister's December in
December and Frank December, all within one year. Ok.
Speaker 4 (27:44):
Maybe it was something else, the lack of connection.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
I never wanted to cuddle with mom because she smelled
like cigarettes. Well lucky for me, she wasn't much of
a cuddler. They both smoked like stove pipes. I mean,
just three packs each every day. Didn't they set themselves
(28:06):
on fire? Your dad or your mom?
Speaker 4 (28:07):
With my figure my father.
Speaker 5 (28:08):
Several times, my brother and I in the middle of
the night had to go into the bedroom because he
was sleeping in a ring of fire.
Speaker 4 (28:15):
I mean, a complete was like a horror movie.
Speaker 1 (28:18):
I love how he twenty three and me going bankrupt
is now you're like child, here's your life story, Mabie.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
I should have gone to twenty three.
Speaker 5 (28:25):
In me, I don't know, but I know a lot
of you listening did, and I want to hear some
good stories. I want to hear some connections you made
by way of twenty three in me or some other
ancestry site, or I'll take some nightmare stories too, right, Yeah, anyway,
Topic time is the next six one, seven, nine, three
one one one.
Speaker 4 (28:42):
Oh wait, how do they get to the talk back justin?
Speaker 6 (28:44):
Yeah, download the iHeart app if you don't have it.
It's one hundred percent free when you listen to kiss.
Two things you can do. You can leave a talk
back pressing the red microphone and you can also hit.
Speaker 3 (28:52):
The per Now it's topic time with Billy and Lisa
in the morning.
Speaker 4 (28:59):
Okay, here we go.
Speaker 5 (29:00):
So the news came down this morning, the twenty three
in me the ancestry site is going bankrupt, and there's
a big fear, a paranoia nolage, right that people might
their information might be leaked.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
Right, whether it's bankruptcy or a sale. If it's a sale,
your information's going to whoever buys it, and that means
it's not secure. So that's when we started talking about
twenty three and me like horror stories or some positive
stories that have come out of it.
Speaker 5 (29:25):
Oh yeah, because it's your genetic information as well as
everything else, your ancestry.
Speaker 4 (29:30):
Let's go to Erin first. She's in Medway. Good morning, Erin, Hi,
good morning, How are you good? What's your story?
Speaker 1 (29:37):
Erin?
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Did you do twenty three in me?
Speaker 16 (29:40):
I did, yeah, and interestingly one was a different family
member for ancestry dot Com. But we found that great
grandfathers on both sides of my family had strayed and
had different families.
Speaker 5 (29:53):
Wow, oh yes, so both on your mom's and your
dad's side exactly.
Speaker 16 (30:00):
And on my dad's side. My guess my great grandfather
named all of his sons the same name.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Oh wow, oh like George Foreman?
Speaker 16 (30:09):
Yeah exactly, But what was a name Raymond?
Speaker 1 (30:13):
Afterhand?
Speaker 16 (30:16):
Exactly? Would I'll range you, although I think they have
different middle names.
Speaker 1 (30:20):
What a narcissum?
Speaker 3 (30:21):
So are you worried about your data? Are you going
to delete it?
Speaker 14 (30:25):
So?
Speaker 16 (30:25):
Actually that was another thing I wanted to mention. I
am going to delete it. But there's another website called
jed match ged match, and it's like the de facto
website for law enforcement to use, and they actually used
that to find the Golden State killer. So you can
download your data from twenty three and meters and if
you want, you can consent and upload it to this
(30:45):
website and you can maybe help solve crime.
Speaker 4 (30:47):
Boy you're like an expert erin.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
A genetic material.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
Yeah, this is a great first call on topic time.
Good for you.
Speaker 16 (30:55):
Eron.
Speaker 6 (30:55):
Say hello to Medway by the web. I forgot about that,
the Golden State killer. That's how they caught him. Yeah,
with the DNA test.
Speaker 5 (31:02):
Let's go do Monique in sale A Mass Hey, Monique,
what's your story?
Speaker 2 (31:09):
Good morning. I did twenty three and me like while
over twenty years ago, way before it was even a thing.
I'm adopted. I always want to know my biological info.
So I just was like, oh, let me see what
I'm predisposed to. And fast forward twenty something years. My
half brother wanted it for his birthday. His birthday is
(31:31):
April thirteenth, my mom is April fourteenth. My son is
born April twenty second, and he asked for it for
his birthday.
Speaker 3 (31:38):
He did it.
Speaker 2 (31:38):
And now fast forward, my son's like two months old
and I get an email saying, you have your half brother.
And we did all the information and finding out and
longhold it was his mother, that is my bio mom.
And it has been nothing short of a lifetime movie.
It's been the best experience of my life. I would
(31:59):
do it again. One hundred times over.
Speaker 13 (32:00):
It was so.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
It was I didn't have the best relationship with my
adoptive mom. So this is she's the yank to my yang,
my my biological mother, she is my rock, my everything.
Whole family just took my family in. It was like
from literally day one, it was like, you're my daughter,
and my brothers were like, you're my sister. And it's
(32:27):
just it literally is like a lifetime movie. It's been incredible,
opened up a whole new world for you. Oh, one
hundred percent, one hundred percent, it's been the best, literally
because I wanted nothing more all my life than to
find my biological mother and it was just a dream
of mine and I did it. And ironically she has
(32:50):
been like an arms reached away my entire life. My
mom worked at a hospital across the street was a
community college. As for my mother was both my you know,
my mom. I mean, it's just like over and over
the similarities. I could go on and on, but I won't.
Speaker 5 (33:05):
But so you may have passed each other in a
supermarket several times or something else.
Speaker 2 (33:09):
Story, Uh yeah, we could have. We could have. She
grew up like a few times away. I mean, it's
just the similarities are uncanny. Wow do you like dig
into it?
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Well, good for you, Monique, We're happy for you. Boy.
Speaker 5 (33:22):
I got the chills here with that one. And let's
go to Jennifer in Boston. Good morning, Jennifer twenty three
and me?
Speaker 4 (33:27):
Did you do it? I did?
Speaker 17 (33:30):
I did it because the same reason because of you,
Like I swore that I was adopted, Like, I'm nothing
like my family, but we do look alike. So I
bought a test to do it to prove.
Speaker 9 (33:42):
That my mother was my mother, and I kind of
like gave it to her as a present. And then
years later I found out that my aunt had did
the twenty three and me. But it was because I
guess my grandmother used to tell my mother and my
aunt that my grandfather wasn't my mother's. So like after
(34:04):
my grandparents passed away, my aunt did it to prove
that they were full sisters.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
Wow. Wow, what a lot of people did this and
it worked.
Speaker 14 (34:13):
Well.
Speaker 3 (34:14):
My cousin did it. I told you she was apted
and she found her birth mother and now they're very close. Yeah,
so a lot of positives have come out of it.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
Let's go to Jenny and Wilmington. Good morning, Jenny, are
you worried about did you do twenty three and me?
Speaker 10 (34:26):
It was actually my little brother did it.
Speaker 4 (34:29):
Yeah, I already deleted.
Speaker 10 (34:30):
His information, but he just went on it just to
like see like nationality and stuff. And he ended up
finding like a long lost brother, so one.
Speaker 2 (34:41):
That we didn't know about.
Speaker 10 (34:43):
And it was just my dad when he was in
the Navy. I guess he went to a party.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
And you know, okay, okay, yeah, I had no idea.
Speaker 10 (34:58):
My dad did not know about him a all either,
and unfortunately.
Speaker 2 (35:01):
My dad passed away.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
Before all of this.
Speaker 9 (35:04):
But so now we have.
Speaker 10 (35:06):
A brother that we did not know about beforehand.
Speaker 4 (35:10):
But yeah, do you stay connected to the newfound brother?
Speaker 10 (35:15):
Yeah, he lives in Texas, but I mean we like
he's come all the way here and like we talked
to each other.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
Still, like, y, where did that happen? Yeah? In the navy.
Speaker 5 (35:33):
Let's go to Michelle in Stonnham. Good morning, Michelle. What's
your story?
Speaker 7 (35:38):
Hi?
Speaker 18 (35:38):
Yes, by story?
Speaker 16 (35:39):
So I was adopted. It wasn't through one of.
Speaker 18 (35:41):
The like typical sites twenty three and me or any
of that, but I was through an organization. I've been
in my DNA like eight years later I finally got
an email saying that they had probably found a mask.
They had confirmed through one more test they confirmed, and
I found out they had found my biological mom dad
and that I was the youngest of twelve siblings.
Speaker 3 (36:02):
Wow.
Speaker 18 (36:03):
Wow, Yeah, so I kind of got a whole bultload
of info at once.
Speaker 3 (36:08):
So did they give you more information about the siblings?
Speaker 18 (36:11):
Yep, so I and then I used those names, looked
them up on a good old Facebook, and I found
my brother and I reached out and so we ended
up like zooming and calling, and then I went down
right after COVID happens, I went down to the country
I was born in and met them some of them,
and I met my biological mom for the first time
in thirty eight years.
Speaker 4 (36:31):
Wow with her, I do someone.
Speaker 18 (36:36):
She doesn't speak in English, so I keep in touch
mostly through my brother.
Speaker 1 (36:41):
Well country I Salvador.
Speaker 4 (36:43):
Oh nice, Oh wow, but you said it took eight years.
What takes so long?
Speaker 18 (36:49):
Like it was a volunteer organization through like University of Barkay, California,
so being in mass like, I don't know if it
was just at the time, it was kind of on
a volunteer basis. So I think that was partially why,
but also because they had to compare the DNA down
not all the sports.
Speaker 4 (37:03):
So yeah, but eight years later, had you almost given up?
Speaker 16 (37:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 18 (37:08):
Like I've reached out periodically, like people would be like,
oh if you found info, and so it would kind
of remind me of like, oh yeah, let me email
the them like once a year every six months. See,
and it was not saying nothing nothing, And then finally and.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
Then it popped up.
Speaker 5 (37:21):
And then you've got no worries because it wasn't twenty
three in me exactly, Well, thank.
Speaker 18 (37:26):
You worry about uh yeah, you know they don't send
me back.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Well, give our love to your mom and El Salvador.
Yeah wow, I will. Okay, I knew this was going
to be a good time. Yeah, good stories.
Speaker 13 (37:39):
So I've done the DNA test basically through ancestry. I
don't think i've done it through twenty three and me
I've been trying to reset my passwords for days and that's.
Speaker 3 (37:49):
Not happening, so I think that department's down.
Speaker 13 (37:51):
But anyways, through ancestry, I found out like one of
my distant cousins is like a video vixen and has
been in a little Wayne videos and a lot of videos,
so I thought that was pretty interesting and I actually
got to physically meet her in New Jersey,
