Pete, aka Mr. Money Mustache, retired several years ago and started a blog about his life and experiences being financially independent.
Last year he restored a dilapidated historic house in his town of Longmont, CO and restored it into a compound for a studio, shop, and “Mustachian Headquarters”, a co-working space set up like a coffee shop.
While he doesn’t need to “go to the office”, having a place that satisfies his “craving for real-life type friends” has become very fulfilling.
Pete has thought about doing videos, enlisting the help of his 12-year old son, but is also considering writing a book. “It hasn’t been the right time for me to commit to finish publishing it”.
PT reflects on the first time Mr. Money Mustache spoke at FinCon 2012. The topic was to create a cult following rather than just a blog.
Does Mr. Money Mustache still think this is the way to go? Listen to this exclusive interview to find out.
