Managing Relationships, Politics and Image

The IT CXO today needs to manage more than technology. S/he needs to gain managerial support as well as manage up, get buy-in from other departments, groups or individuals. S/he also requires ability to convince and influence other stakeholders to follow the regional and global direction. Besides, s/he needs to put in ongoing effort to enhance the department position in the organization to add more value to the organization in both operational and strategic perspective.
