Traits of Difference Makers, The Russ Berrie Award for Making a Difference

Our guest on this episode was Meredith Lee. Meredith is the Program Director of the Russ Berrie Making a Difference Awards. Not only is she a difference maker herself, but she is surrounded by difference-makers. In addition to discussing the awards program, we discussed ten traits of difference makers.

 

The Russ Berrie Making a Difference Award is a prestigious awards program that honors "unsung heroes" who demonstrate their passion and unstoppable commitment to serve the most vulnerable. Since the inception of the Russ Berrie Making a Difference Award in 1997, there have been over 400 honorees who've received more than $4 million in cash awards. Their work is improving people’s lives and making communities stronger. This year, eleven outstanding changemakers were honored at the 27th Anniversary Award Ceremony. They received awards totaling $160,000.
