Welcome back to the all new digital rage.
(00:03):
I am Jeff, the producer here at Byer Company.

quick digestible SEO tips for B2B brands,
some quick actions that can be made quickly to improve your visibility.
So let's check it out.
If you're listening to this,
chances are you're looking for some straight to the point advice about B2B SEO.
(00:25):
Absolutely. You're probably busy running a business
and the thought of trying to figure out SEO on top of everything else.
By your thought.
It can feel pretty overwhelming to say the least.
So that's exactly why we decided to take a really close look at a recent article that caught our eye.
Quick digestible SEO tips for B2B brands.
Yeah, published on March 10th, 2025.
(00:46):
Written by Mira Mikati.
And this deep dive is all about taking what she wrote and sort of boiling it down.
Extracting the most important, you know,
actionable things you can actually do.
Right, especially for B2B brands.
Yeah, because B2B has its own sort of unique challenges and opportunities when it comes to SEO.
And what I really liked right away is the Miracotti's point that even small SEO improvements.
(01:08):
Oh, yeah, even if they seem kind of small.
Can make a huge difference.
Especially over time.
So why don't we start with, you know,
one of the things that she really emphasizes.
Yeah, what's like the first thing that people should focus on?
She talks about title tags.
Oh, okay, title tags.
Yeah, and how those are often kind of underestimated in terms of their power.
Okay, so for people who aren't familiar with title tags, those are like the headlines you see on search results pages.
(01:32):
Exactly. When you do a Google search.
Right. So it's the first thing people see even before they click on your website.
And it's also one of the first things that Google looks at to figure out what your page is about.
So what does she say about actually using them effectively?
Well, one thing she really stresses is using what she calls power words.
Okay, interesting.
The words like ultimate, ultimate guide or something like that.
(01:54):
Exactly, or like proven.
Proven strategies.
Yeah, or like step by step.
Ooh, I like that step by step.
Or best or complete.
Okay, so words that kind of convey.
Authority and comprehensiveness.
Right, like you're getting the real deal.
Yeah, because especially in B2B, trust is so important.
Absolutely.
(02:15):
So you want to project that in your title tags.
So she gives an example in the article.
She contrasts 10 proven strategies for B2B lead generation.
Yeah, I don't remember that one.
Versus just like B2B lead generation tips.
And I mean, just hearing those two, you can instantly tell.
Right, which one?
That the first one sounds way more compelling.
(02:35):
Yeah, it feels like it's offering something more substantial, more valuable.
Okay, so using power words.
But, and this is really key, you also have to make sure you're including your target keywords.
Right, so Google knows what the page is actually about.
Exactly.
So it's kind of a balancing act.
Maybe it enticing for people.
But also making it clear for the search engines.
Okay, that makes total sense.
(02:56):
So once you've got your title tags sorted out, then she moves on to.
Yeah, what's the next step?
Something called featured snippets.
Oh, okay.
Have you ever noticed when you do a Google search?
Yeah.
Sometimes there's like a box at the very top.
Oh, yeah, with like a direct answer.
Exactly.
Yeah, I've seen those.
That's called a featured snippet.
Yeah, it's like prime real estate.
(03:17):
It's the best spot.
Physician zero, they call it.
So how do you actually get your content to show up there?
Well, Makati says the key is to structure your content in a very specific way.
Oh, interesting.
Like what kind of structure are we talking about?
She gives an example of like instead of having a long introduction.
Right, which a lot of websites do you want to get straight to the point?
Like just answer the question right away.
Exactly.
(03:37):
Her example was what is B2B SEO?
B2B SEO is the process of optimizing a website to rank higher in search engines for business
related queries.
So it's like boom, here's the answer.
No messing around.
Yeah, because Google wants to provide users with quick, valuable answers.
And if you could do that, you're more likely to get that featured snippet spot.
(03:59):
Okay, that's super helpful.
Then she moves on to another really important topic, which is internal linking.
Okay, so internal linking, I know that's about linking between pages on your own website.
Exactly, and a lot of people kind of overlook this.
But why is it so important?
Well, for a couple of reasons.
Okay.
First, it helps distribute what we call SEO authority throughout your site.
(04:21):
So if you have one page that's doing really well, yeah, ranking high in Google, you can link
to other pages to give them a boost.
Okay, like sharing the love a little bit.
Yeah, and the second reason is it's great for user experience.
How so?
Well, if someone's reading one of your blog posts, for example, and you link to other relevant
content, they might stick around and read more.
(04:42):
Exactly.
He's people engaged.
Okay, so she had some advice about how to do internal linking effectively.
Yeah, she talks about anchor text.
anchor text, which is the actual text that you use for the link.
Oh, right.
Okay.
So instead of just saying click here, which I've definitely seen a lot, you want to use descriptive
text.
Cumean example.
Like instead of click here to learn more, you would say something like learn more about
(05:06):
B2B content marketing.
So it's clear what the link is actually about.
Exactly.
And it helps both Google and the user understand the context.
Got it.
So internal linking with good anchor text.
Very important.
What else does she talk about?
Then she gets into site speed.
Oh, site speed.
That's a big one.
Huge, especially these days.
I mean, nobody wants to wait forever for a page to load.
(05:28):
And Google knows that.
Yeah, I've definitely clicked away from websites that take too long.
And Google might actually penalize your site in rankings if it's slow.
Wow.
I didn't know that.
So she recommends aiming for a loading time of under two and a half seconds.
Under two and a half seconds, that's fast.
Yeah.
So how do you actually achieve that?
What are some of the things you can do?
She talks about compressing images.
(05:49):
Okay.
She just can be huge files.
Exactly.
And then enabling browser-passing.
I'm really sure what that is.
It basically means that when someone visits your site, their browser stores some of the data.
Okay.
So the next time they visit, it loads faster.
That makes sense.
And then she also talks about minimizing JavaScript.
(06:09):
JavaScript?
That's like the code that makes websites interactive.
Right.
And if you have too much of it, or it's not well optimized, it can slow things down.
Okay.
So how do you even know if your site speed is good or bad?
She recommends using a tool called Google PageSpeed Insights.
Okay.
I've heard of that.
It's free and it gives you a really detailed report.
So you can see exactly what needs to be improved.
(06:30):
Yeah.
It's super helpful.
Okay.
So we've covered title tags, features snippets, internal linking and site speed.
And then she talks about updating old content.
Okay.
Interesting.
So a lot of people focus on creating new content all the time.
Right.
New blog posts, new articles.
And she says it's really important to go back and update your old stuff.
Why is that?
(06:51):
Well, Google likes to see fresh, relevant content.
Okay.
So if you update your old posts with new information, or new stats, or new visuals, it can give
them a boost in rankings.
So it's kind of like a shortcut to improving your SEO.
Exactly.
And it's a lot less work than creating something entirely new.
And then finally, she has this bonus tip.
Yeah.
(07:12):
Which I think is really important.
What is it?
The first size is that SEO is not about finding some magic trick.
Right.
It's not like a one-time thing.
It's about making consistent effort over time.
Okay.
So it's more like a marathon than a sprint.
Exactly.
And even if you just implement a few of these tips.
Regularly and consistently.
You can see really significant results over the long term.
So to sum it all up, what are the key takeaways for our listeners today?
(07:36):
Well, we talked about crafting really compelling title tags.
Using those power words.
Yeah.
We'll include your keywords naturally.
And then we talked about optimizing for featured snippets.
By giving clear, concise answers.
Right up front.
Then strategic internal linking.
With a good anchor tags.
And of course, site speed.

(07:59):

Keeping your fresh and relevant.

That add up to big results.

Yeah, take a look at these tips.
See which ones you can start implementing.
(08:20):
Maybe just pick one or two to focus on.
Experimental.
See what works best for you.
Because even those small changes.
You make a huge difference in your online visibility.
