In this episode, I sit down for a discussion with two inspiring leaders in the world of education, Dr. Jenn Wells and Sharon Chia Claros. Be prepared to take notes, friends. This is a meaty conversation where we excavate leading edge approaches and insights on cultivating a truly equitable and inclusive workplace. We also lift up an absolutely essential conversation around building a community where women of color are nourished through one another’s support.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Assumptions we often make about workplace allyship.
  • Building relationship-rich community that fosters safety through visibility.
  • The generational factors that continue to frame how we interact as professionals.
  • Debra’s intrinsic “do no harm” leadership style.
  • The capitalist and class motivators that continue to be pervasive in the workplace.
  • Dismantling the conformity and “not enoughness” that emerges from archaic workplace structures.
  • How to create a truly inclusive workplace.
