In today's episode, you'regoing to get a little peak.

(00:02):
And to what you may find in the freezersection of your local Costco store.
We're focusing on what foods are reallygreat to have on hand for dinner time.
And I'll let you know thata lot of these are great.
In the air fryer.

(00:45):
before we begin today's episode.
I want to take a moment to shareabout my favorite spice company.
Burlap and barrel single origin spices.
You'll truly eat like no one else.
Would you use our spices in your cooking?
Just the other day.
I need it to finish up some greenbeads before they went back.
So I just boiled themuntil they were cooked.
Nothing fancy.

(01:05):
Then I add some buttereat sprinkled on bro.
And barrels purple shallot powder.
And suddenly I have thoughtthat was really amazing from
something I was just trying to usequickly to keep from wasting it.
They offer the most unique andfreshest spices you're going to find.
Like the wild mountain cuminPiedmont smoked paprika.

(01:27):
At the greatest set of I'veever had the Royal sediment.
Right now, if you order from theirwebsite and use my promo code.
Eat like no one.
You'll get a free, robust sta.
Black peppercorn grinder.
When you add to your carwith any $15 plus purchase.
Now onto today's episode.

(01:50):
Costco members or future Costco members,or maybe even former Costco members.
If you have anything.
To do with Gasca or wantingto do something with Costco.
Today, I'm going to talk about.
Some of the frozen foods.
That you can find at Costcothat will make, make your
dinners a little bit easier.
So for the most part, I like to not relyon some of those convenience type foods.

(02:16):
Like to cook things totally from scratch.
Now there are still some dayswhere some things come up.
And that's a little harder to do that.
So it's always good to occasionallyhave some type of thing on hand.
For when the need arise for that.
So I've been looking throughthe Costco frozen section, too.
Find what things I thinkwould be the best to use.

(02:39):
And most of them, I have foundwork really great in the air fryer.
So really great to just have somethingquick to throw on the air for that.
Boom.
We get down on the table and I havesomething that's going to be delicious
and done well, cause the AirFryer.
And it's confined space.
Off it does a better job than an oven.
Does.

(02:59):
Um, because really an air fryer is just.
And convection of it in a smaller.
Type of space here.
So the air moves around quicker.
So ends up doing a betterjob than it would be in a.
Big huge.
So I love my air fryer for sure.
So I'm going to share with youguys a few different things
that I think are great to get.

(03:20):
From Costco and all of them, you can find.
My instructions, the recipe onmy blog eat like no one else.
He like no one.com.
So make sure if any of thesestrike your fancy, you go over
the blog and check it out.
Or he can look up my description forthis episode and you'll find links to.
Those posts on my blog.

(03:43):
So let's start with talking aboutthe Italian style meatballs.
They have, they come this big, huge bagof meatballs, the Kirkland brand, mostly.
Actually everything I'm going totalk about today is probably going
to be a, for the Kirkland brand.
There's Costco store.
Bam.
So they have theseItalian style meatballs.
Um, they get like, Well, it wasover a hundred or so meatballs.

(04:04):
It's allowed me balls.
So those are really goodto have a handicap to pull
together some kind of fun meals.
You know, you easily obviously justthrow those into the air fryer.
And top of your favorite sauce.
I've done like.
Hey, Alfredo sauce done.
Tomato sauce is, uh, Pesto, you couldbypass though, but if you make it

(04:28):
even better, So that's, that's easy, simple dinner you could throw together.
That's.
Fantastic you know, so easy to do.
Also, I have used them inlasagna, so they was really good
as opposed to using ground beef.
I like to use the beatballs, bro, with them bigger.
By the year.
You know, bigger bite of meatthat you get from usually a beat

(04:50):
balls that have ground beef.
So that was really good.
What I, uh, cut slice does ithalf I put that in between my
layers of noodles for a lasagna.
That was fantastic.
You also could put them between.
Croissant.
I can see how much.
Or, or whatever type of,
Sandwich type bread or longer bread.
Like a fresh bread or somethinglike that, you know, like, uh, A

(05:11):
poll, but my son loves Po'Boys.
Um, we, he had his first beat ball, poor boy when we were down in new
Orleans and he just absolutely loved it.
And always talks aboutit and often wants that.
First birthday.
So that's a kind of an easy thing.
To do for something like that.
Is to make, I guess, Like that.
All right.
I also.
Something newer there is there alightly breaded chicken chunks?

(05:35):
So people say these are kind oflike the Chick-fil-A dugouts and
their terms of their texture.
And I definitely could.
I could see that for sure.
That there's, um, Some similarities there.
Yeah, and the smells are alwaysgood to have on hand because
all my kids will eat those.
So it's.
That's always, obviously to have.

(05:57):
Something where everyone will be happy.
The chicken chunks go.
Really good.
Of course.
On their own, um, along with.
Some type of sauce thatwhatever your favorite is.
We can make a homemade barbecue sauce.
That's really good.
I'm also, of course you could.
Take the chicken chucks andput them on top of a salad.

(06:19):
That's always good.
There's just an easy wayto make a dinner salad.
You want to have something?
Um, that's easy to put together and have, and have some, some veggies in there too.
I was like, you hityour good salad greens.
You can buy it.
Cause that Costco, they, you know, whenyou grab it, the big, big bouts up here.
Um, we're going to want eat thoseup before, before those go bad.
So having the chicken chucks on hand tomake a dinner salad is really good to do.

(06:46):
I was, did, did it whereI had some leftover bacon.
A few slices of baconand I took the bacon.
And put it in a pan and cookthe bacon while the chicken
was cooking in the air fryer.
And I removed the bacon, crumbledit up here and then took the fat
from the bacon, the bacon grease.
And made a dress.
I got that.

(07:07):
Sorry, it's a vinegar a littlebustard it's some seasonings here.
It'd be like a hot bacon dressing.
That was really good.
On top of the.
Chicken before a salad.
So I did like that time.
I did spinach, so I had babies bitch.
It's for the baby spirits toss the, some of the baker that's out there, the
chicken dress or the dressing over there.

(07:27):
That was so good.
And of course you could serveover rise, treat it like it's a
Chinese takeout restaurant typesituation with three and sour sauce.
Or you'd have also.
One thing I really would liketo do is serve them with grits.
So my youngest really loves grits.
She calls them grips, which is a kid.

(07:49):
So I don't get those.
At Costco because theydon't sell them at Costco.
So, I guess I was elsewhere.
That's really good with the chicken.
Top chicken top of that, but some vegetables.
I did like a snap peas, snap, peas.
Really good.
Um, On top of the grass will the chicken.
That was, that was really good.
So it's not a great, good suggestion.
Also, I recently tried takingtheir preform burger patties.

(08:14):
And putting them in the air fryerand that worked out really good.
Uh, that cooked him really well.
And it was kind of easy to do.
As opposed to having puttingthem in a pan and having oil
potentially splash you in the face.
And you're close.
So the guy was kind of an easier, cleaner, less messy way to cook burger patties.

(08:34):
Um, I use my.
Therma pen one.
Instant read thermometer from thermoworksto check the temperature of them.
So I knew when they were done.
You also, you can makehim cheeseburgers too.
But what I would do though, Is.
I would put the cheeseon the burger patties.
With the air fryer pause.

(08:55):
So like, like partwaythrough your cooking process.
When it's time to add the cheese.
Open the air fire up.
Stop it.
Put the cheese on.
Close the door back the drawer backup and wait for a minute or two.
Because you want the cheese to startmelting a little bit, because if you
don't do that, Or I discovered thehard way is that it will blow the

(09:17):
cheese around before it gets melted.
And then it will be all over the place.
So you want to kind of like start moldingthe Jesus a little bit on enough heat
to kind of get to stick to the burger.
Patty.
And then cook it.
So.
Oh much Justin for that.
And the nice thing, the.
They're not too expensivefor the burger patties.
They were just a little bit more perpound than the actual buying ground beef.

(09:39):
Um, and making her own patties.
So that's kind of a quick, easy thing to do if you're not.
I'm looking for.
A quick.
Quick weeknight option.
When things are, are busy.
Also shrimp.
So they have there.
Pinko fried shrimp andthe temperature strips.

(10:00):
Uh, either one again, great.
In the air fryer.
It's like, well, the air fry here, those are wonderful in the empire.
So.
You can use them, you know, that's assimple as throwing the air fried in.
So, whatever, you know, My cousincatch up or you can just cocktail
sauce or whatever you want touse that to kind of dip those in.
And then the temper actually comes with a.

(10:20):
Like a soy.
Uh, type of sauce.
Pretty sure it does.
So you can put those in your air.
Air fryer and cook them up.
It's easy, but also I'd like todo is make kind of like my wife
calls like a take on a pokey bowl.
So you sh you serve theshrimp on top of rice.
Along with some at a mommy.
You have some pickled cucumbers.

(10:42):
So actually not.
I don't mean just like a jar of pickle, but you could've told me that too.
But I'd like to take some ofthose, um, Little middle mini
cucumbers and see this ones.
And cut those up and put them in vinegar.
For a couple hours beforehand.
So they like kind of like, it'skind of not making a quick pickle.
It's not going to be.
As peculiar as a pickup, but.

(11:03):
It adds a nice little vinegar taste to it.
And I think that's really good.
We've also done like, crispy onions, likethe ones you put on green bean casserole.
Like throwing those on top too.
So that's an excellence.
Meal idea.
And you know, and your protein soeasy to cook that you can kind of
like do some fancier stuff with it.
I wrote love a deal.

(11:23):
And then lastly, I wantedto mention the frozen fish.
That was great.
Frozen fish.
Variety is at Costco.
And I've seen like my mahi.
Um, different cards and salmon.
All depends on where you're at.
I feel like in the places where theirweather in the south think Morrissey
for, if I'm more varieties, But it'sstill a great place to buy seafood.

(11:46):
To buy frozen fish, especiallyif you live in somewhere where
you're not near the ocean, all.
So the frustration iskind of harder to come by.
Or not as good quality or oftentimeswhat Costco will do is some of the Fisher
that's marked too will actually be.
There'll be in the fresh comment, butI'll actually say previously frozen.
So you might as well just buythe frozen fish and do yourself.

(12:07):
This is easier to transport.
I have to worry about.
Freezing refreezing.
So I like buying like bags of fish.
Fraudsters from Costco.
And we have a big amount of it.
Um, I mean, you, you.
Usually there are individually sealed orease of this kind of grab what you need.
You know, if you want to use thewhole bag, it's a great option
for making fish tacos with either.
Where people come over, you can just putthat on a sheet pan with your seasonings,

(12:29):
all and stuff here and, and cook it.
And when it's done, you have a bunchof fish you can flake up and just.
Add added tacos.
We'll talk about her.
So I think that's always a great idea.
So hopefully it's they have inspired you.
To look at what Costco hasoffered the frozen aisle.
To make some really cool meals that, youknow, Maybe not be exactly from scratch.

(12:53):
A lot of these cases here, but aresomething you can do to have a really
fun and quick meal on a night whereyou don't feel like cooking or you
just don't have the time for it.
Or, or it's summertime and it's 95degrees out and you don't want to turn.
You know, do too much of your kitchen.
Cause it's.
How'd I get, I don't mind.
Cutting cutting and hot kids in the front.
Right?

(13:13):
Definitely not my thing.
So I'm more likely to do thiskind of things in the summertime.
I am like during that.
Cooler months of the year.
So I hope you've been inspired now.
And that you're going toreach out to some new things.
In your Costco freezer near you,or if you aren't a member now.
Maybe you're intriguedenough to give it a try.
