در این ویدیو (پادکست) به یکی از چالش‌های فکری مهم در تاریخ اندیشه‌های عربی و اسلامی می‌پردازیم: مواجهه متفکران عرب مسیحی و مسلمان با علم غربی و به‌ویژه نظریه تکامل داروین. ورود علم غربی، مخصوصاً نظریه تکامل، به دنیای اندیشمندان مسلمان و مسیحی، نه تنها پرسش‌های فلسفی را برانگیخت بلکه باعث ایجاد شک و تردیدهای عمیق در مورد مفاهیم دینی و سنتی شد. برخی این علم را به چالش کشیدند و به شدت با آن مخالفت کردند، در حالی که عده‌ای دیگر آن را پذیرفتند، اما همیشه با شک و تردید. در این ویدیو، به بررسی این رویکردها و واکنش‌های مختلف در برابر علم و فلسفه غربی می‌پردازیم و می‌بینیم چگونه این اندیشمندان با تناقضات فکری و ایدئولوژیکی دست و پنجه نرم می‌کردند.
