Yes, Jeremy, you're the keeper of the details.
Appreciate that.
Nobody has ever accused me of that in my life.
first for everything, mark the calendar.
Cool.
So speaking of details, let's get into it for today.
I know you and I were having some, some text exchanges before we hit record.

(01:29):
We're already talking about.
Software is and all kinds of stuff.
Obviously artificial intelligence is a huge topic right now.
think, the U S president committed, that was a 500 billion with a B, $500 billion towardthe build out of infrastructure for AI in the next four years, which is pretty wild.
Yeah.

(01:49):
and quite frankly, it's, quickly becoming a topic for me, at least that I'm likefascinated by.
and being able to use it to create real results in my life.
And so that being said, I would love to kind of talk through it with you today, Jeremy, like I'll tell you, share what I'm using, what you're using, kind of how I'm using it to
help make life run a little smoother.

(02:09):
And folks listening, really the goal today is not to tell you what to do, but to kind ofgive you a sense of like how we're using stuff.
And maybe it can help you to have life run a bit better, smoother, more efficient, effective, and so forth.
So I'll kick it off.
We were just talking about sort of how each of us manages our time and the tools that weuse.
And we've talked about time management a couple of times on the show already.

(02:31):
It's a number of times.
And the tool that I've gotten into mostly now is notion.
Notion.
So for those of you out there who have used notion, it can be a bit of a bear.
It's like very customizable, which turns some people off.
But there's endless templates, like free templates out there you can use.
But for me personally, I use it for task management, project management, all in one place.

(02:58):
Now, the cool thing is they recently integrated AI with that.
Almost as like an assistant.
So you can prompt it like as you go.
So let's say if you're like, all right, I want to write a social media post and you're andyou're drafting it in your notion page, you can hit up AI to help you iterate on things or
create ideas or like can prompt it to help you with the writing, which is pretty cool.

(03:21):
They have a bunch of different use cases for it.
But I know for me, as someone who's like, I'm starting to embrace writing a little more.
and really try to like get better at it.
feel like obviously speaking is one way to get your ideas across, but you kind of need tohave them in the first place.
that comes, know, developing that is with writing.
And what I don't want to do is take the route I think a lot of people are starting to takewith AI, which is like, they just let the AI write everything.

(03:47):
And it's not really coming from them.
Right.
There are ways to do it though.
And one that I do with regard to that, if writing is your thing or trying to get morewritten content out there is your thing, but maybe you are more comfortable speaking.
One of the things I do for this show and other podcasts is I take the content like this,I'll take this transcript that is our thoughts, our ideas, our words, and I will use AI to

(04:13):
craft blog posts, social media posts, based on things we said and in my voice, right?
So it's not going, Hey, robot, write an article about time management, go.
It's Hey, robot, analyze this very thoughtful and intelligent conversation I had with Joe.
find my voice, find my temperament, infuse that into 10 social media posts.

(04:37):
And then all of a sudden I've got content that is my ideas, my thoughts, and you know, ofcourse I review it, like I'm not gonna just copy and paste.
And it's crazy how many times it's like, that's pretty much what I said.
And now it's written and I didn't have to come up with it as a separate idea.
And so I took one piece of content and now I've got 10 new ones in addition to all theother stuff I'm gonna make from it.

(04:58):
So if you are thinking, hey, I want to start a blog, I'm not a great writer, I don't knowhow to get the thoughts from my brain to the pen or whatever, pull out your voice recorder
on your phone and just blab about whatever it is you want to say and then use thetranscript to turn it into well-written content.
that's awesome.
Also too is you the big thing here.
I think the skill that people are going to need to hone in if they haven't already is howto prompt effectively and contextual prompting is a big thing.

(05:27):
Meaning if you like you just said, write me a blog post about, you know, getting likelosing weight, right?
It's just going to write whatever.
But if you say something to the effect of like, you know, act as though you are a personaltrainer who's well accomplished with 20 plus years experience.
write me a blog post about how to lose weight, it's gonna be a lot different.
And so how does that translate into helping you with your life?

(05:50):
And again, I'll start with a time management piece.
So, and actually this is something I'm gonna bring this up right now.
I didn't mention it to you, Jeremy.
I created a prompt that walks people through an entire time management system.
I'm happy to post a post it in our community completely for free.
It's anyone can use it.
but essentially what I, I was using this because I needed it like a better system and Iwas using chat GPT to help myself through it.

(06:16):
And finally I was like, I'd be cool if I could just punch in one prompt and then it walkedme through it step by step.
And this is what it does.
So basically you paste this prompt in chat GPT and then it just asks you a series ofquestions.
And by the time you're done with the questions, you know exactly what tasks you're goingto do on what days you're going to do them and in what time blocks.

(06:41):
And the time blocks are set up such that it takes the tasks that are most important to youor like require the most brainpower and pairs it with the time of day that you are most
productive or likely most productive based on your feedback.
So for me, like I like to do, you know, what you'd call like deep work in the morning.
Idea heavy stuff like I really need to be kind of in flow and focus.

(07:02):
So slam my magic mind to get to work kind of thing.
It prioritizes those tasks at that time.
In the later in the afternoon it's like you know more calls meetings things like thatthings that okay I'm attending maybe I'm jotting notes or I'm collecting things whatever
it's not that big a deal.
But the.

(07:23):
the prompt itself walks you through based on your preferences.
It'll say like what times you like, what parts of the day are most productive morning, afternoon, evening, maybe you're a night owl.
You can say evening and then it'll, it'll switch everything to fit that style that youwork in.
And so like I said, by the time you're done, it can break down the whole thing.
You can, and I made it so you can actually organize a day, a week, a month or an entireproject.

(07:44):
That's really cool.
And the other thing about that is with the thing with prompts, a lot of people don't thinkof this step is you can actually ask AI to generate the prompt that it needs to create the
output that you want.
I just did this the other day.
was trying to come up with a new, like I basically have a super prompt for a lot of thecontent that we make from these podcasts.
And it's like a 10 step process.

(08:06):
And I fed it to the AI and I said, Hey, what else do you need to know to
better capture my voice and to produce better outcomes, something more specific than that.
But it actually went there and analyzed and said, actually, you could give me more detailin number four and you could be more clear about number seven.
It's a little confusing.
And so it was really interesting.

(08:26):
It's an idea generator.
It's a conversation even more so than a tool to create things.
It's both.
But it's often overlooked as a place to work together to find the question that it needsto give you what you're trying to accomplish.
% and you could use it anywhere like anywhere anywhere and you think of any aspect of yourlife you want to improve like like take finances for example maybe not an area think we

(08:53):
talked about in this podcast excuse me but I've done it where I've loaded up entire booksinto it like PDFs and said like analyze this book pull out the main principle financial
principles of this book summarize it for me cool I get that then I take that and
create a prompt that applies it to like my life.
So like here's where I'm that based on these things, like how can I improve in each areaand basically boil it down to like, are the habits I need to be living each day to live by

(09:24):
these principles, which are like healthy financial habits, basically.
Yeah, interesting.
just kind of reverse, like work it in backwards.
You know what saying?
Like work it that way.
And it's been super, super helpful.
And then now like, you know, it's kind of spelled out.
I have it like in a document, I can see it all.
And then I have my things like every Friday I do a little like financial audit.

(09:45):
I go through spending, my budget and investments and all that kind of stuff.
And I know exactly what to look for, what to look out for.
And it was all, I mean, I did it in 15 minutes.
I came up with this whole thing because I had the AI help me do it.
It's been wild.
Yeah, I mean, it's useful beyond that, too.
You were the first one to turn me on to an app to develop workouts.

(10:07):
Before you told me about the one you told me about, I had already gone to chat, chat, GPTand said, Hey, create a basic workout like a basic, you know, gym workout for a guy in his
mid 40s.
You know, it was kind of beginner level, like, you know, it gave it some prompts.
And it gave me a really basic workout.
And it was good, right?
Like I was like, I wouldn't have ever guessed to put this together.
And this is a good place to start.

(10:28):
But then you introduced me to an app that I really liked and used for a long time.
it was more designed for bodybuilders though.
So wasn't quite what I needed in the end.
And then the one I've been using, and again, like this is not, nobody's paying us forthese mentions, but, but fit bod is an incredible, personal trainer.
Like because of it, I, it tracks like your streaks, like when you, when you set up yourplan, right?

(10:51):
Like, so I went into it going like,
Give me three like gym workouts a week, you because I'm also going to hike, I'm going todo other stuff on the other days, but I want to make sure I get in three days a week.
And so I'm in the middle of week 15 unbroken streak of getting those in.
It's just it's so smart.
It asks you like, what do you actually have in your gym?
So there's never a place where you're like, I don't even have this here.

(11:13):
So I can't do this.
So it designs this great workout and attracts your progress.
It shows how much stronger you're getting.
It shows how much more you're lifting.
It's and it's so cheap.
Like I don't even remember what it was, but they have a deal now for like a lifetimemembership.
I think it's like 400 bucks.
And when you consider what you would pay a trainer to like come up with a workout plan foryou, like you can customize this anytime you want.

(11:34):
At any point I can go, I'm going to mix this up and do something completely different.
Super.
It's just awesome.
I've and I've really enjoyed like the interface is super simple.
Yeah, I can't say enough good things about I'm a huge fan of FitBot.
If you're trying to come up with an app to develop your workouts.
That's awesome.
That's super cool.
I'll check that out just to kind of play with it a bit.
It's funny too.
I've had, I've had trainers I've worked with in the past where you're like, yeah, they'remaking my custom freaking workout.

(11:59):
And then I get the email with like the spreadsheet and it's got like another client's nameon it.
It's like, dude, come on.
Like, am I paying you for?
You know, and those guys weren't cheap either.
It wasn't like, I'm paying them 50 bucks a month or something.
It was, you know, it was considerable.
And I, you know, you have that, it's a different conversation to have, but in any event,
These are the kind of things like you can use this stuff for.

(12:21):
And something too, like, you you can use this as a way to help, like you can prompt chatGPT to almost coach you through the creation of these things, not just creating them.
but also helping you to elicit why these things are important to you, help you stick to itmore, right?

(12:42):
So you could say like, you know, come up with a workout based on this equipment, four daysa week that I have at my home, my goal is to lose weight.
And I want you to ask me a series of questions that are going to help me realize howmotivated I am to reach this goal, whatever.
And it'll come up with this stuff and you answer it and it'll give you feedback.

(13:03):
You know, and you can tell it how you want your feedback.
You can say, I want you to motivate me.
I want you to give me, you know, a real pragmatic view on whatever, like you can tell ithow you want to respond.
And at the very least, and that's not replacing a human, but it can help you to like movethis, like move the ball down the field a little faster and get things rolling.
Consider like whatever journal app you use and how or or have and don't use right youdon't use it probably because you can't think of what to write in it.

(13:32):
So that's where a lot of times people will pay for one that has prompts so that every dayit tells you something to think about.
It's it's crazy how much I mean I think even coaching like in the times that I've spokento you as my coach or spoken to my therapist about stuff that's bothering me you just sort
of need somebody to help guide you to what you're trying to accomplish.
And so sometimes that's not a person.

(13:52):
Sometimes you can use a tool like this to help you think about what it is you're trying toget to.
And so just to get even if it's a robot that's wrong, it helps you go.
No, that's not it.
Right.
Like it's it's just such an underutilized tool for for just getting thoughts going in yourmind to get where you're trying to go.
Absolutely.
100%.
And most people currently, because it's still very new, right?

(14:14):
Like it's very, very new in terms of people are still using chat GPT.
Most people are using it like it's Google.
They're like, tell me, tell me who won the world series like 20 years ago.
You know what I mean?
Like it's, you can be more strategic about how you use it.
Um, and you can help yourself to get things done a lot faster.
Like you can reclaim a lot of time.

(14:35):
because these little like menial tasks you do over and over again, like you can outsourcein a way, you can outsource it to the AI like bot itself and just ask it those things or
to organize something.
I did this with,
my wife and I want to go on a little like spring break trip in April.
And I was like, OK, I need to like research this and get something booked.

(14:56):
But like, I don't even know where to start.
Like, because it's you know, part of it is we have a young kid at home and it's like he'snot going to want to sit in the car for a million hours.
So I literally wrote, said, you know.
This is like, this is the town I'm in.
I need a very family friendly spring break vacation spot that's only two hours away thathas, you know, parks and whatever accessible and, you know, gave all these things.

(15:20):
They gave me 10 places.
I ended up picking one and then I said, okay, this location, I want you to give me a listof all the best like activities for a two year old and whatever.
It planned the whole trip for me in a matter of minutes.
I, and this is, unless my wife ever listens to this, I sent her an email, like, oh yeah, here's what I can't wait.

(15:42):
She's like, this is awesome.
You know, and it's like, yeah, I am awesome.
Like pat myself on the back at how great I did.
But like, but the thing is, know, and some of it you have to go through and clean up.
Like it gave me a few locations that I went and checked out and they were closed becausethey're seasonal.
They don't open till May.
We're going to be there in April.
So, or like one place was permanently closed.
Okay, that's fine.
But like I was able to find exactly where we could go, different cool parks, a, you know, kind of hands-on museum for kids we're gonna go to.

(16:10):
There's a lot of farms where we're going, so it's like go see animals and stuff.
Like it's a perfect family-friendly getaway, reasonable drive, like super affordable, thewhole thing.
And I got it all figured out in like less than 20 minutes.
Well, and that's the thing, like you, you know, talking about your wife, you know, givingyou the pat on the back for doing all this hard work that really wasn't all that hard of

(16:31):
work to do.
That's what this thing is.
And I'm pretty sure I'm stealing this from Gary V, but like he basically made the analogya long time ago that AI is to us what the tractor was to the farmer.
The farmer is out there just sweating in the sun, doing all this work by hand and somebodycomes along and goes, look at what you can do with this machine.

(16:52):
Look how many of these people in the field you can replace with this machine.
So yes, it will replace some jobs that will happen, but they will be replaced by peoplewho learn how to use it to do their old job.
So it is just for me, I have to write emails every day.
I have to write to customers all day long.

(17:13):
And I used to have to think of how do I want to say this, take the time to really craftthe email, make sure I'm hitting all the right points and all that.
Now, if I get a question, I can copy their email, throw it into AI and say, you know, Iwant to help this customer.
This is what I can do.
Generate the email that is helpful and professional and whatever.

(17:33):
And so what would have taken 10 minutes before takes 12 seconds.
All right.
few tweaks, they got the name wrong, whatever, and it's there.
like, there's a lot of fear around it, and there probably should be, right?
There's a lot of things that we sacrifice because this is for the most part, for many ofus, a free tool.
So we are very much the product that's being sold somewhere in the exchange, but we'regetting a lot of time back by not having to do the doing.

(18:01):
We can do more of the thinking and having the robots do the doing and really to be thetractors that are working in our fields.
love that.
Love that.
I was saying to a buddy the other day, I'm like, I don't think AI is going to replacehumans.
That's like this concern people have.
I think humans who use AI will replace humans that don't.
You know, it's like if you have if you don't have a smartphone nowadays, like you're justbehind the times like you're you cannot keep up.

(18:25):
There is no way you're going to do with a flip phone.
It's not going to happen or no phone at all.
Right.
So it's it can be a very, very powerful tool if you use it wisely.
And uh, only fear with it if i'm being totally honest is I don't want to turn over toomuch to it because I don't want to stop thinking there was a guy who uh I forget who I was

(18:47):
watching they were saying it um It was like a very wealthy guy like a high-power exec.
It's got a podcast or something.
I can't remember dang.
Anyway, he went to lunch With a kid who was uh, I think he's like in stanford like aprogrammer a real smart kid
And in the conversation, this kid had to keep stopping.

(19:08):
And he's like, he's like, are you okay?
Like you're he's like, yeah, he goes, I've been using AI so much.
I have a hard time, like collecting my thoughts because I've I've been relying on thisthing so hard so often that like he literally like it's almost like, you know, when you
don't work out for a while, your muscles atrophy like his thinking muscles.

(19:30):
Yeah.
Right.
I said before, I don't wanna, I wanna write and do content stuff, because I want to do itand be creative and formulate my ideas and work through the creative process.
I don't wanna turn that over to AI, and then it's like, you can't back up what you'resaying, because you don't have that experience, you didn't live it.

(19:51):
Right.
a fear of mine is like, no, like I didn't do enough of the work to earn the right to saythe things I'm saying or do the things I'm doing.
then some people sniff that out in two seconds.
Like, that's not okay.
yeah, you wrote the article, you're suddenly being interviewed about it, but you didn'twrite it, so it's hard to recall the question you're being asked or something.
Yeah, yeah.

(20:13):
I mean, there's there's a lot of things to be concerned about with this stuff.
And a lot of it is, you know, talking about sort of the wellness part of this too, and thetools that we're using to track like, normally, I'm wearing an Apple Watch and an aura
ring and an Apollo band and like all the stuff that's gathering biometric data, right.
And it's being stored somewhere anonymously in giant air quotes, in the cloud.
And you know, particularly women, I know, are very concerned right now about, you know, having menstrual cycles tracked and you know, what kinds of handmaids tale reality are we

(20:39):
marching toward.
So there's a lot of concern around things like that as well.
So you do definitely need to be careful about like, what are you sharing?
Who do you trust?
And the short answer is nobody, right?
But like, you do have to weigh like, is the benefit of possible risk of my informationbeing scraped and used against me worth the benefit that I'm going to get out of this?

(21:00):
You know, time will tell and I think we're in
Scary, maybe interesting times right now with the alliances that are formed betweenbusiness and government.
And so who knows how slippery this slope gets and how quickly.
So definitely, definitely be careful with that sort of thing.
and also just, mean, like you're saying, just being able to genuinely create content fromyour heart that is real.

(21:24):
That's something that no robot is ever going to be able to replicate.
And people will definitely sniff that out.
100%.
There's a guy, last thing I'll mention, if you don't follow him now, I love his account, love his content, Dan Coe, K-O-E.
You follow Dan at all?
I don't but you mentioned him on a recent episode.
well yeah I just finished his book last week or something like that and he's very bigabout writing like right that's like kind of the building blocks of really getting your

(21:50):
message I was writing and speaking right and when I listen to his stuff or I read hisstuff I'm like you can tell like an AI bot did not write like it is him writing and he
writes very unapologetically which is awesome I love that and you know it's something likeI think if you're if you're using it as a tool using AI as a tool

(22:11):
but you're putting your essence into it, your heart into it, then your message will neverfade.
But you can expedite the time it takes to get your message out by using this tool.
with that, I'm you're checking it out by now.
Take a look into the AI stuff, see how it can help make your life run a bit moreeffectively, more efficiently.
And Jeremy, I'll let you close it out.

(22:31):
maybe we can throw some links in here in the show description for tools that we're usingthat might be helpful for people just to because there's like seven or eight that I didn't
even mention that we can definitely include.
I'm sure.
and also we can share out that, time management prompt I put together.
People like it.
Cool.
hopefully it helps you and there's totally free.
You guys can just have it.

(22:53):
Yeah, I'll, I'll, I'll email it you right now.
Let me know what you think.
Cool.
Cool.
So we'll have all those links in the show description for this episode, as well as thelink to Magic Mind where But that's going to do it for this one.
We'll see you again in about a week.
Make sure you subscribe so you don't miss it.
And make sure you share it with somebody who is struggling to either manage their time ormake friends with AI.
But that's it for now.
We'll see you in a few days.
Thanks for listening.
